Best app to have handy for people who lend or provide money to family members. Great when purchasing a car to see what you are really paying for the vehicle and the must have accessories. Awesome for a quick look at the real cost of those payday loans. Figuring a second mortgage payment. There are a ton of fancy loan tools, apps and calculators out there but this is straight forward, fast and easy.
I started a small business, purchasing, rehabbing and then managing renting homes. This app has been invaluable, as I consider decisions that include if I should pay cash or establish a mortage. Access to estimated mortage payment totals via this app also inform my final offer. Excellent choice as time and again this app has proven it’s value. I resolutely support a 5 star rating.
I love an app that is simple to use and doesn’t hit you up for money the instant it is downloaded. This one is usable as soon as downloaded and self explanatory. Simply enter amount, term and rate and it gives you payment and interest over life of loan. Wish all apps this helpful and easy to use.
This is a great app! I use it all the time, for all kinds of calculations. I use it to make sure my credit cards are correct. I use it when thinking about maybe a new car. I use it when thinking about a house loan. I even mentally make substitutions and use it for retirement purposes. It’s a great app!
You can whip this puppy out while negotiating a major purchase and appear super smart when you tell the sales representative what your monthly payment will be. Once the rep realizes what a fast cookie you are, you have better negotiating power.

I work in solar and this is the calculator that I’ve recognized is super easy to show customers the difference of whether or not they wanna pay down there along with the tax credit amount or just keep the tax credit amount and finance the gross. Highly recommend it! :-)
Love that you can enter months breakdown in calculator tool. Only suggestion would be this... have calculator that you only have to enter 3 of 4 variables and have the calculator calculate the 4th variable. The 4 variables are... APR, loan amount, term, and payment. If you can come up with this, you will have captured lighting in a bottle!
I’ve been using this app for almost 15yrs. I know that there’s plenty of other apps that are more detailed but this is a wave top app that gets you a good idea of where you’re at before you totally commit to something .
The loan calculator app is simple to use. Amount, interest rate, how much time to pay it off and voila! Monthly payment and total amount needed to pay it back including interest. It’s not rocket science. You get your answer immediately.
What’s more irritating than clicking on a mortgage calculator only to fine that they are phishing for personal info page after page? This little app will give you what you were looking for in a straight forward non manipulative way. Awesome
I’m old enough to remember when to learn what the payment on a loan would be you’d have to go to a bank. Now with this app you can instantly do all kinds of “what if” calculations.
This is an intuitive single purpose calculator. Other apps have more functions, 90% of the time you just want to calculate a loan payment. This app does that quickly and easily.
Super easy and simple to use. Only issue is it won’t calculate for 0% It would be cool to see a setting where you can type in your monthly payment and it adjust the price or rate.
This app is very helpful in giving insights before buying investments especially real estate. Through this app, I am able to make decisions on a sound financial planning by being able to tell my monthly mortgages and actual expenses on my real estate investments.
I am a mortgage lender and I am use this app at my office and it is accurate and user friendly. It also comes in handy when I am asked outside of my office about what a payment amount would be.
This app makes calculations on different kinds of loans very simple. I would recommend it to anyone that looks to get monthly cost amount using percentage rates quoted from different lenders.
Got involved with a timeshare nightmare and with this app I verified the interest that I am being charged. It is a super hard reality to accept and to see for myself that their interest numbers are correct. This app was right on their interest numbers and I am very impressed.
Annoying long ad making it difficult I almost erased the application. I haven’t issue monetize It a bit - but there is not an option to do so.
It save me time to do the math myself and not only does it give you how much you’ll pay in interest but it also gives you the monthly interest that you would pay. Love it!
This is a great app. Allows you to look at the numbers from any angle. Want what you can borrow based on pmts or payments based on amount. Change rates, terms. It will give you your solution.
Does a great simple interest calculation. You’ll need a spreadsheet or a more involved app to understand the front loaded interest payments on typical mortgage. Having said that, this gives a great comparison for monthly payments versus different interest rates
Love the app! So easy and to the point. I would love a separate line item to add a percentage for property taxes and a separate line for insurance so that the app can calculate P.I.T.I., with each line item total at a glance. That would be an awesome and functional improvement.
Handy! Great for quick reference. Need an amortization option. But can’t complain still easily gets quick reference for loan payments and total interest paid!
I use it to figure out the best way to use credit cards my mortgage payments. If I’m gonna buy a new home it’s a great app. I love it been using it for years.
You can quickly get an idea of what a loan is going to cost. The amount of interest paid, and a breakdown of monthly payments.
I use it more often than I thought I would. Allows you to quickly price things out or compare rates from different lenders.
I am in the home finishing business with multi-million dollar homes using custom mortgage terms. So this is pect and so simple and quick to use when my clients are on the phone waiting
I like simple and this is just that. Put in the price, how many years and about what you rate will be. No frills, just the info you want.
While there are the occasional ads, this app is simple and does what it says. It works quickly and you can change the parameters on the fly so you can see how the variables affect a loan.
As a 25 year financial advisor, there are times when a simple, accurate, and fast calculator is valued. This is my go-to on my phone.
This app is extremely valuable right now while at the car dealership. I can now immediately tell when they are trying to screw me over!
This app is super easy to use and faster than going on google every time I want to run payments at different interest rates.
Loan calculator app works exactly as it was designed to work and saves a lot of time checking monthly payments for accuracy.
I don’t like having debt. I will pay off debt as quickly as I can. This is my go to app when I am trying to calculate how much I need to pay monthly to meet a specific deadline.
So very easy to use and quick, it’s on my home page for quick access
I prepare documents for owner finance for property. This is an easily accessible tool for budgeting for owners and buyers before I fill out the paperwork and contracts. Love it and have used it for years!
This app is so simple, I calculate many times when looking for properties and this makes it so much easier. Thank you!

Loan Calculator‰ Negative Reviews and Ratings
I’ve used Loan Calc for several years. It’s a very basic loan/interest calculator application. I thought nothing of it since it was so basic. Then recently the app started having obnoxious in your face ads appear with loud music prior to using the app. This really annoyed me. So I thought I’d poke around in the apps Settings to see what I can do about it. I was SHOCKED when I read the apps Privacy Policy. For a seemingly very simple basic loan calculator, this app mines your data. It keeps and shares your data and analytics with its affiliates both onshore and offshore. Retention period is scary, until it deems the data collected satisfies its purpose. You have the right to contact the Owner but they have the right to reply back within a month. And it goes on and on and on. This was WAY TOO MUCH for me, thinking this app was just a simple basic - no strings attached - loan calculator. So I promptly and gladly deleted the app from my iPhone. Simple apps can be so deceiving. Please start to question and read Privacy Policies. If you don’t care about it, then thanks for read this far. It’s your data and you should be concerned about how and to whom it’s shared with. I wish you well.
This has been one of my favorite apps for a long time. I don’t use it that much but I love it when I do. It’s not the prettiest, but it does exactly what it’s meant to. It’s clean and easy to use. It was a 5-star to me until one day the ads showed up. Developers should be paid for their work. Ads are one way to do that. Banner ads are visually displeasing but depending on the function of the app I can sometimes be forgiving if that’s the only option. Pop-up ads that’s hold you hostage for a given time before allowing you to use the app are frustrating, time-consuming, & soul-crushing. I’ve tried to live with it but sadly I am left having to look for another app to replace this one. I just can’t take the assault on the senses. I hope the developers decide to offer a pro/paid version of the app. I would happily shell out 5 bucks to remove those ads and go back to loving this app. Until then, I need to look for other options (… which means I’ll be contributing zero revenue to this app).
This app runs for a little while and then you’ll get an advertisement and over the years it’s continually gotten worse. I’ve used this app for 5+ years and it does a great job of calculating however, the new advertisements make it where you can’t get out of the advertisement unless you go to it. I don’t want to have to go to an advertisement that i am not interested in. The advertisements make it hard to bypass the advertisement by placing the X in unusual places to close the app. I think the developer should make a version that you purchase with no advertising and I would not have deleted this app. Used to be a great app, but enough is enough.
I work in mortgage and do some modest real estate investing. I am always playing with #s. I wanted a simple calculator to do simple terms. I like that part of the app. But there’s no option to drop-down an amortization schedule or any other features. Didn’t like that. But the main reason I deleted the app in under 5mins? The app doesn’t switch from portrait to landscape view. Since I was putting this app on my iPad, which I use almost exclusively in landscape mode, this was a no-go. I’m not picking up and rotating my device back and forth for a silly calculator
I enjoyed using this app until the recent update. Now a full screen ad pops up whenever you open the app, which includes if you’re switching back and forth from something else, like the notes app. There should be an option to buy out of the ads. I use the app almost daily but I’m deleting it and getting a different one because of the issue
I’m in the finance business and have been using this app for almost 10 years now and love it, until I noticed over the last couple of days there is now a quick book ad before using….really? Isn’t the scrolling ads at the top enough? If this continues, I’ll be checking out other loan calculator apps.
It was a useful app but now Google ads pop up and cover the loan amount box and no matter how many times you click on the x to make it go away it still remains over the loan amount area stoping you from plugging in the amount of the loan. This makes the app totally unusable. I will delete the app and then reinstall to see if that helps and if it doesn’t then I will take it off my iPad and iPhone and find something that works better.
This app was my go-to for years. But recently it changed, and now on every launch, pop-up ad interrupts my process with countdown to view the ad before you can use the app. Finally uninstalled and use another app. Too bad because it was a great tool.
Simple enough calculator. You enter your information and it gives you your payment. However the second line titled “monthly interest” is actually your monthly principal paid. Not your monthly interest. This is a big mistake I made in expecting this app to be correct and was pointed out to me by a client that I was giving financial advice. Boy did I feel like an idiot.
Hard to be a professional and use this app when the inappropriate pictures pop up with the ads at the top and you’re trying to deal with professional clients and show them monthly payments. Actively looking for another app to replace this one because of the inappropriate ads. I’m fine with an ad but not that inappropriate images.
I’ve used this for a long time but now it locks you into ads making it useless. No easy way out of the ad so you just lock up and close it out with no info. I’m searching for another option. I actually understand the need for ads but not this.
In a recent update, there now so many advertisements that the app has become useless. When you really need the app to be there, you won’t be able to use it it will force you to wait for an advertisement that you can’t get rid of without a careful investigation of the ad to determine how to get rid of it and it’s very tricky.
If you’re doing a fixed payment term or payment loan it’s fine. If you want to figure out stuff for your line of credit it’s not the app for you
