HDR App Comments & Reviews

HDR Positive Reviews

I like it but has issuesThis app does a great job with giving you a naturally looking HDR. The problem is that it does not do as good as some others when it comes to photo alignment. I'm a bit of a HDR app snob and bought most that are available. This app consistently produces ghosting because alignment of photos is not perfect. Yes it's my fault as in shooting hand held. But a few other apps have it figured out. Yes the ones that create real HDR and not just single image with filters..Version: 2.4

Good HDR app, but not the bestThis is my second HDR app along with Pro HDR. I love how simplistic the UI is. It looks clean and flows well with iOS 7/8 style. It is also Very Fast at taking good HDR photos, probably the fastest and does it much better than Apples HDR option. The downside is I have dealt with alignment issues even on stationary objects. Another problem is there is only 4 filters to choose from and no other fine tuning adjustments. The last problem I found recently when trying to organize my photos is it does not record any EXIF data, which is important to me. if you don't care about those issues then give this app a try..Version: 2.0

Great HDR App!I love that the app got updated for iOS 11, I was afraid the developer wasn’t going to do it, this is one of my favorite HDR apps, really recommended.Version: 2.4

Great HDR photosI've tried several different HDR apps for the iPhone, and this app produces the best results; I've received many "wow" comments on photos taken with HDR. It can automatically identify light and dark areas of an image (you can also select them manually), then quickly, within about a half second, takes two photos and combines them with usually-flawless alignment between the two images. There are four filters to get the HDR effect you want, and you can export the original photos along with the HDR. As with any two-shot HDR, expect some ghosting if there is rapid movement in the photo or if you can't hold the phone steady (e.g. you're in high winds)..Version: 2.1

OK appWhile the app works very quick to capture two images and is easy to use - it seems to many time create a weird flaring around dark items in the image where they are against a bright background - which looks very odd. It doesn't seem to blend the areas that are dark and bright very well..Version: 2.2

Wow, cool! This works really well. I think the other negative reviews are missing the fact that you must first press and hold on the screen for the light area and dark area icons to come up. You then move them around to the correct areas of the photo, and press the shutter. Two photos are taken with different exposures, then combined. Works much better than the stock iOS HDR function!.Version: 1.0

Simply the bestI process real photos taken with a real camera using Photomatix. Sometime I am in a situation where I do not have my camera with me but I need to capture a scene. This software rarely disappoints and if it is unable to process, I can take the original exposures and process offline myself. This is simply the best HDR app on the market. I've done wonders with it..Version: 1.0

Contrast filterThis app is great because it has four filters the best of which is the contrast filter. I never get tired of it. It's one of the best filters of any photo app. Gives every scene a dramatic aspect. It combines the contrast of black&white and toned down film coupled with HDR. Those who made this filter sure did know what they were doing..Version: 2.2

Nice camera accessoryI wouldn't use this as my only camera option but it is especially useful when your standard camera can't quite catch the photo you're looking for. This app combines the camera and enhancement software into one simple two-step process..Version: 1.0

If your giving this app 1star...If you are giving this app 1 star because "most cameras have many more filters" and "it shouldn't need to take two pictures", please do some research into what HDR actually is. This is the best HDR app I've seen so far, and I've used ALOT of them..Version: 1.0

Forget the iPhone 5S camAll the fuzz about the new 5S camera is nothing if you have the original 5 and this app. My photos have been complimented since I started using HDR. My only request: allow use of the front camera..Version: 1.0

Good app but crashes a lot!!!This app is great but it crashes constantly and you loose your picture. Otherwise the effects are great and makes pictures look better. I recommended it to some friends and they also complain about the crashing problem..Version: 2.2

It's just okThe author's other app "Top Camera" is much better than this one. This app here is much more simplistic and the results are not as good as the HDR effects in Top Camera, which shoots three exposure bracketed images to create its HDR. Buy Top Camera instead of this one..Version: 1.0

Best app, still not perfectFrom my testing this is the best iOS HDR app (definitely beating out Pro HDR). That said, there's room for improvement: wish this (and other) app could handle more than two exposures like virtually all osx alternatives. Definitely worth more than the $1.99 it costs..Version: 1.0

Fast and directThis app does exactly what is expected. Fast, easy HDR exposure and merging. Automatically works well, manually setting the dark and light areas is only sometimes needed. Simple and effective. Nice app..Version: 1.0

Definitely one for the camera app folder!5star rating all day long. When it comes to a basic point-n-shoot camera with an amazing end result this is the app to get!!!.Version: 1.0

One of few real HDR appsThe neg reviews obviously don't know what a HDR photo is. Yes it does take multiple pictures to get a wider spectrum of lighting as a HDR picture is supposed to. Does a great job, won't say it's as good as my cannon 7D but great pictures!.Version: 1.0

Interesting appI look forward to messing around with it some more out of the sun so I can see the end results better!.Version: 1.0

Love it!Its a pretty good app! It only does HDR but it has great colors and does much better than using imageblender or just merging the photos. You can definitely tell the difference between other apps filters!.Version: 1.0

Just works.Best HDR app available. Just works… unlike its competitors. However, it would be nice if it did have options to fine tune or yield more control while maintaining capture simplicity..Version: 2.0

Currently the best HDR app!I have tried many HDR apps nd trust me, this is the best of the lot. There is a great app called "HDR Fusion" by Cogitap. But it is no longer being developed. So from HDR Fusion for iPhone 4, I have junped to HDR by Lucky Clan for iPhone 6..Version: 2.2

Camera review.Excellent camera, am using it on my iPod touch 5. It would be even better if it had a zoom feature on it it's why I only gave it 4 stars..Version: 1.0

Replaced the built-in app!I literally use this about 75% of the time I want to take a picture. All over a great app, and I recommend it to any iPhonographer!.Version: 1.0

Love itTakes great pics and sometimes the under exposed original is stunning.Version: 1.0

Great appI just got this app and am also new to the iPad camera but this app seems very easy to use and so far I've gotten some great pics..Version: 1.0

Works just fineSo far so good, my only problem is getting my subjects to sit still for two exposures!.Version: 1.0

GreatI uploaded many of my nature and scenery pictures I've taken and loved how much better they appeared after I used this app. :) Vivid and outstanding..Version: 1.0

Nice picturesWorks well. Would be nice to be able to have a little more control over color/contrast etc instead of all presets. But all in all great app!.Version: 1.0

Seems to do a good jobReally like it so far though you get asked for a review after 5 pics. Not enough time to really form an opinion..Version: 2.0

Quick and easyThis app basically replaced my camera.Version: 1.0

Almost perfectHDR requires three images, this just works with two. Love the app, please update for three pictures and ill change to five stars.Version: 1.0

Best cam app, periodI've never posted a review about an app before, but this app deserves it. It's taken pics on par with my $2800 Nikon d600. Recommending to all my friends- Brian.Version: 1.0

Awesome AppI do HDR photography all the time using my Digital SLR camera and software. This app produces a stunning result that I would show case with my DSLR pictures..Version: 1.0

Love this app!Great results - simple to use and another quality product from these guys ....Version: 1.0

Works wellSaves time getting good shots in mixed lighting. This app's still new to me, but so far, it's going to be a favorite..Version: 1.0

Best HDRI've used many of these types of apps and this is the best. Download now you won't be sorry..Version: 2.0

Awesome but be steadyHold still, the pictures are great, press against glass, level, be steady, and the HDR result is impressive. I use the iPad 4, and get excellent images..Version: 1.0

Pretty goodIt does a perfectly good job of doing just what it claims to, which is a simplified way to combine bracketed exposures into an averaged out HDR style image..Version: 1.0

Very niceTakes two photos combines them and makes a very brilliant rich picture. 👏 Thanks... "AppsGoneFree".Version: 1.0

Well done!Impressive results and easy to use..Version: 2.0

Not just geotagThis app is amazing. I just was about to delete it though because of no metadata included with its output! But right before deleting I read about the update and gave it another chance. Now it's time to include other info in metadata too, like the camera model! There's a problem with it too. The results are terrible at the edges of the photos, especially if you use wide lenses..Version: 2.1

Meilleure hdrMerci C'est mon programme hdr.Version: 2.2

Great appEasiest to use HDR app I've come across yet.Version: 2.2

HDR App And AstrophotographyAs a former Mac Developer and Educational Comp Science Teacher Trainer I Can Say With Complete Integrity That This App Outperforms All Currently Available Photo App. In Particular, It Reveals Details And Optical Resolution That Are Simply Astounding!.Version: 2.1

Works well, butI'm not going to hold it against the ppl saying this app doesn't work, they just don't know what high dynamic range photography is or where it's applicable, but I assure you that this does in fact take two pictures, one over exposed for the shadows and another under exposed for the highlights, then combines the two to bring out the best of both worlds. This app is faster than the other HDR apps I've used as well, so I do like those aspects, but... When you take a picture with the iPhones camera, the picture is just saved to the camera roll and if you don't want it you can delete it later, if this app had an option to just save all HDR pics automatically I would use it and like it a lot more, instead you have to tell it you want to save each picture, frustrating when you end up losing pictures because you forget to actually save or your finger bumps the camera button..Version: 1.0

Beats iOS 7 built in HDR.I don't think most people that have rated this app know that if you press and hold the center of the photo a little sun and a little moon appear and you can move them so that the sun is on the light part of the photo and the moon is on the dark part of the photo so that the resulting image is perfect..Version: 1.0

Great photography app...Definitely worth giving a try...Version: 1.0

Very goodI like the quality of pictures with this app. They're crisp, clear and detailed, and its great for low-light situations..Version: 1.0

Great app for HDR PhotographyA nice little app to maximize the camera on the iPad... Takes better pics than the native camera app... provided that the shot is stable!.Version: 1.0

Instabuy- super quick processing - simple & crisp UI - good image stabilization - great results The filters are nice but it would be nice to have a little more granularity over the various levels..Version: 1.0

Does a good jobThis isn't the best HDR I've seen anywhere, but it's easily the best HDR I've seen on a phone! First, it is proper HDR - it snaps a bright photo and a dark one and works from that. Sure, pros may often use a spread of 5 or more, but this calculates very fast and I still haven't had a blurry or ghosted image. Almost no options for adjustment, just a few presets, but it does the job. For the disappointed kids who don't know how to use this, the easiest test is shooting a window on a bright day from a dark room: there's no way the normal photo app will capture it as clearly. Stormclouds can also look pretty intense in HDR, and it really makes details pop on white statues. Happy shooting!.Version: 1.0

HDR is HotBest HDR photo App, hands down. In fact, I deleted several other photo apps to keep this one. Yields Excellent results..Version: 1.0

Makes my iPad mini...just rock!Ignore the poor ratings. This app gives excellent results, especially in poorly lit situations ie over or under exposed situations, the app takes two very quick pictures and blends them together to allow you the choice of picture you want! .....saves you having to process in yet another app. Will get more of this developer's apps..Version: 1.0

Best HDR App out thereI don't normally write any reviews but when this app was free I checked it and it made me delete all other HDR apps out there! I'm means this app rocks at least on iPhone 5 It's fast and it save the under, over and HDR exposure if needed it took some amazing pics in a limited contrast setting. And with built in filters it rocks !.Version: 1.0
