Great app!I have a large computer monitor in my home office and some times i like to sit in my chair on the other side of the room and watch tv from the computer. The biggest issue is not being able to control the computer without constantly getting up and walking over to it. So this is all i really use the app for and its really great. I honestly only hoped for something that worked like a mouse so i could control the screen from my computer even though it would be difficult since its a bit far away for me to see the mouse on the screen. This app also has a keyboard function and a nice little portion where it displays a grid with mute, volume down, volume up, back, play/pause, forward. And that covers what i need most of the time. My only suggestion for this little keyboard thing is that, if you happen to click over to another keyboard, sometimes im confused about getting back to the play/pause button, which is what i use most of the time. But if i click away it can be confusing because that portion of the remote is labeled with a volume symbol only. And my brain doesnt think to click on that symbol because thats not what i want, i want the play/pause button. So far so good - quick responseI have to admit, I’m on a tight budget having to cut costs so I really can’t fork out the $10 right now, but I gotta say, even the free version is very useful. My son is learning how to stream and our computers are next to each other. Sometimes, I’m in another part of the house and he texts me that I left the volume on my Mac turned on which chimes when I get notifications which bother him on his streaming. Now, I don’t have to walk all the way over there and I can simply launch the app and hit mute. Works well and does have some other cool features in the free version. When I’m off of financial lockdown, I’ll get the full app. The developer is very quick to respond which is always important. I was using Remote Pac - another fantastic app - and asked about the mute capability and he quickly responded with this app. I really do like the ability of the other app. I just wish it could mute the sound from that app, but all is good. Best. App. Ever. I LOVE IT!!! Masha’Allāh 🤩I honestly can’t remember how much I paid for this app but whatever the amount was, it was worth it Masha’Allāh!!! I use this app in conjunction with Luna display to remote access my Mac Mini from my bedroom upstairs, while my Mac stays hooked up to my work monitor in my downstairs office. Sometimes (a lot of times) Luna display doesn’t wanna play nice with my Mac, but this app bridges any gaps!! I use it to restart my Mac remotely and I have the helper app set up for automatic launch whenever automatic login occurs, so it’s saved my sanity several times in a very short time of using it. I can view my desktop in the app too when I need to! This is soooo helpful esp when my iPad isn’t displaying what I need to see on the remote screen in a given moment. Great app. Stream deck alternative. Good devThe full version of this app is amazing. The trial version, as others have said, has an ad wall (which is very fair for a free app with this much functionality). Switched to this app from the premium version of Yao’s remote mouse app, and the customization options this app gives you alone are worth the $. The UI isn’t as clean, but that’s a common cost for high customization and additional functionality. I’m very happy with it. There’s nothing this app won’t do for me, even replacing my Stream Deck & with a faster response too. This app gives Siri shortcut support as well, giving it a huge edge for those of us with applications of voice command. I really appreciate the dev for his constant work and updates. I had an issue, one patch, with my Siri Shortcuts. The dev responded the next day, and I didn’t hear back after sending him the app log, but the very next day it was patched. Great for movies and other mediaI don’t usually write reviews for apps but this one was too good not to. I don’t have a straight up TV in my room but I do have a monitor, the problem was if I wanted to use my Mac I’d have to sit close to the screen or use my mouse and keyboard, which are really inconvenient to use on a bed. I only really needed a mouse but this app solves that and a multitude of of other things. I don’t use the paid version, but the free version seems to have most of the same features with ads, which I’m fine with. There’s a small amount of input lag, which is to be expected, but it’s barely noticeable and doesn’t matter if you just need to be able to control the computer for movies or videos. The app does require a third party program to be installed on the device you want to control, but it was pretty straightforward other than needing to grant some permissions. By far the best remote appThis is by far the best remote app for my Mac I have ever used. It works extremely well and the developer is very active with updates and bug fixes (it’s rare there is a bug but when one does pop up it is fixed very quickly). The app is all around great, I mainly use it as an iTunes remote for when I’m using my Mac to watch movies on my tv but I’ve found it’s great for long downloads or installing new software because I can mirror my macs screen and control everything without having to get up. Definitely worth every penny. I paid full price and this is my honest unbiased opinion. After countless apps and time. Finally found an app that can wake my Mac from sleep plus a lot of either great features as a bonus. Please don’t do anything to change the way this app works in an update. Best remote app I have tried yetThis is the best remote app i have tried yet. Its very easy to scroll, click, and type. It is easy to connect, and it doesn’t lose connection for no reason (like another app I’ve tried). I paid a couple dollars for the premium version to get more features (i forgot what specifically—maybe to get rid of ads). Also, this app is frequently updated, but you can choose not to update if you want. I used to use monect pc remote. When it worked, monect was good, but it often disconnected for no apparent reason. Often times it wouldn’t connect or work for a day or two, even after reinstalling the software on my computer and phone. The final straw was when they took their advertising to the next level and started making me watch an ad literally every time I opened the app. This pc remote is much better. Perfect fit!As someone who is basically quadriplegic, I have not purchased a computer in years. My son recently convinced me that I could manage quite well with a Mac mini. I’m a writer so I thought I'd give it a go. The accessibility features of a Mac mini are stunning to someone who hadn't used a PC for nearly a decade! Still, my dilemma was the size of a keyboard. I'm a thumb-typist now and only with my right hand. I bought a gaming keyboard that fits in the palm of my hand but it feels clunky and awkward compared to my phone. Powerful and well done app!I use this app every single day. It’s expanded the ways I can interact with my devices and is one of the great tools I’ve stumbled across for use with home automation. Additionally, the app is beautifully designed and obviously something the developer has put an unbelievable amount of time and effort. Mind blown!This app is honestly amazing! You can do pretty much anything you want it to when it comes to connecting to your Mac it has dedicated apps that run from Mac that are easily controlled by your phone such as iTunes, FaceTime etc. allowing you to open or close the application that includes third-party apps as well like Microsoft word or PowerPoint. but the best part is it also works as a keyboard and mouse. I love this feature because my magic keyboard and mouse sometimes have to charge and while they’re charging I have a back up plan, it’s also amazing because my Mac sits sort of in front of my bed where I tend to watch and stream videos which was a nuisance to have to get up to go browse the next episode, but now I don’t have to! Remote MouseHey this is a great FREE APP. I paid for remote mouse (green logo) and still had limited functionality unless I bought more items such as Media control. However this app of remote mouse, I personally call it my SPEEDY MOUSE cuz it’s fast and Free and it controls all functions, volumes included. I use this app on my Windows 10 desktop, laptop, iPad, and my iMac all through my iPhone. Perfect for Remote Audio PlaybackI work from home most days of the week right now and like to stream my Roon library from the server through my MacbookPro in an adjacent room with the stereo system. This app does exactly what I require by allowing me to remotely control playback and even see what is happening on screen without having to get up and walk over to control the laptop on a smaller table. This is very helpful for when I need to pause the audio for an incoming Zoom or Teams call, or if I want to quickly replay a track. I can see more uses with home cinema setups not having the computer local to the user. It Works, but I have Feedback!My boyfriend got me introduced to this app as I watch TV on my PC Monitor, but I don’t like getting up to click on my mouse turning everything off at 3:00 in the morning. Yes, the Upgrade Slide is extremely annoying at some points but at the same time; this app is free to use, and I understand the Developers must make a living. Great App, Keyboard & Mouse AlternativeI plug my laptop to the living room TV to watch movies with my family, but always struggled with using the wireless KB&M when I’m trying to relax on the couch. I found this app and cause I wanted to improve my quality of life while at home. This app is perfect cause now I can browse the internet and watch my favorite shows without hassling with the KB&M even tho they’re wireless. Everything is done on my phone. Must get this app!!!So good, u can ditch ur roku box/ps4/blue ray player… hook up a pc/laptop to ur tv , sit back and u got ur controller in ur phone. One thing I would recommend is the ability for users to create their own remote dashboards when in the tab in the very bottom left. Although it does let u make ur own shortcut there in that tab, u are unable to edit the remote layout! And therefore unable to add, adjust or delete a layout on a new remote page. Therefore, the only way to have a fully customize remote layout there is by creating it all at once because we r unable to change the layout after confirming the initial set up. Amazing work from the developer thank you.This is an incredible app and I now use my iPhone 12 pro max as a trackpad remote for my music for recording and logic pro for everything and it’s a simple as touching icon and your phone changes into the Mac desktop and all your apps disappear off your phone temporarily and then he just hit it again and it turns back on the phone I’ve tried turning on and off the screen everything works like a dream wonderful wonderful app should be much more expensive. All around great way to control my computerI use a suite of “power apps” on my macs, Alfred, this Remote app, and other smaller ones. I’ve tried Alfred’s remote app, but its no where near as intuitive as this one. Plus this one can control my apple tv too. I don't need to start or stop a server app on my computer every time i want to switch devices, i just select a different one in the app. Its constantly being kept up to date, especially the paid version. Definitely usefulWhen I set up an HTPC running Windows 11, but forgot that I don’t yet have any Bluetooth or wireless keyboards or mice, I almost gave up before remembering that some phone apps can remotely control computers. Just started usingI am a pastor who uses a program called pro presenter to run slides during messages. Pro presenter does not have a simple remote app to do this only a robust remote for producers who are technically savvy. I just needed to be able to use the up, down, right, and left arrows to go through slides. There are physical remotes that let you go left and right to advance slides but not up and down to change presentations. I can do that simply with this remote. I downloaded the app so I can control the shows I was watching without having to get up. For that purpose, this app is stellar. MacBook as music serverI like using my MacBook as a Tidal streamer for the system in my study, but I am tired of going back and forth to change volume, tracks etc. . Perfect!This app is amazing! My husband and I like to connect our MacBook Pro to our projector to watch movies on our big projector screen, just because we think it’s fun, haha. Easy to install, straightforward to use. Lifesaver!I’m using a teleprompter app on my MacBook while I give a presentation at work on my PC. There were parts throughout the presentation where I had to pause and restart the teleprompter, and I couldn’t do that without leaning over my PC and looking incredibly awkward!! This app gave me the ability to pause and start the teleprompter app at will, not only when I needed to match the slides, but if I wanted to ad-lib, going more in-depth on certain topics. Good core functionality, some minor quirksThe app itself is good and warrants a $10 lifetime purchase. However I don’t like that when viewing my lifetime license it still gives me the option to purchase it again. All purchasing options should disappear. The app should check lifetime license status better. Also, I hate how using the paid version still doesn’t get you out of the ANNOYING pop ups to share and leave a review. Tried many, this is the one...Good functionality, actually lives up to its description and opens up the potential of a fully operational remote access node for all things digital. Remote for MacBook reviewIf you own a MacBook you should own this app as well. You can control volume with your iPhone volume buttons, you can even mirror your laptop screen to your phone on the app, if you don’t want to get out of bed to change a video then just open the app and use the trackpad/keyboard to type in and click a new video. For the full versionAfter some checking out the folder structure I found a file called ‘Bouncy House Crypto’ seems liike something crept into the PC software. Please ignore my review, until I type otherwise. Old review: It’s AWESOME, and will save me some time. It’s a little fiddly to set up though: If your computer says it’s a trojan or something like that, here’s how I solved that: I downloaded the helper program using an app called Documents (By Readdle; free on the App Store), and then uploaded it to my Dropbox account; I downloaded the installer on my PC, restarted the PC, and ran the program; my anti malware program said that the website was iffy, but I put an exclusion for that site on my anti malware program (you’ll have to find out how to do it yourself), and then everything worked fine. I usually only give a four star review tops, because every app/program could be improved (there’s no such thing as perfection), but I gave this app an extra star due to the excellent customer support; I sent a support message, and within half an hour got a response. Now, about the app... There are a ton of presets for different programs that you can control, and you can create your own if you need to. I’d give this a hearty thumbs up, if my thumbs weren’t busy right now typing this review. Good luck using this for anything other than Apple TVThought I was buying a universal remote control that I could also use as a mouse and keyboard for my computer, after purchasing, and having difficulties their troubleshooting section states, it only works with LG and Samsung TVs, not to mention the complexity of steps in time if you were to attempt to install it on a computer. Also, reading the troubleshooting section it post a question that must be frequent asking why customers have to pay for the app, the answer to this question was the specific app doesn’t need as many permissions authorized as the free apps offered by LG and Samsung. Come on really 10 bucks to not ask to use Bluetooth or my location. Both of which probably will enable more reliable connection. And after reading the troubleshooting section and question answers, it was obvious I got ripped off and immediately requested a refund. Don’t make the same mistake as me unless your hobby is computer, programming, or coding to which you are extremely proficient. Takes too long to try itI used to have an app called Hippo Remote which worked really well. As it happens sometimes, Apple rolls out a new iOS and the apps you purchased cease to work if the developer does not update the app. So I tried this app. 1. The free version doesn’t let you do anything, it is really annoying, waste of time to install it. 2. I don’t like the yearly payment option where you can cancel after a month - typically you have to fill out a form with payment details (time consuming) + need to remember to cancel outstanding payments, prefer to pay when I need the product). There is no option to try the app for a little while and then pay if you find the app useful. So i decided to purchase the app to try it, to then discover that my MacMini cannot run the helper (you need OSX 10.9 min). True it is stated in the system requirements section but when you purchase the app through an iphone (it is an iphone app after all) you need to click to look for additional information, it is not that obvious. Useless now.Worked okay, but I mostly used it to control my computer from the other room to move files or start uploads/downloads, etc. Have to click through too many nonsense screens to get to the utility part.
