Eclipse Yourself: Health Watch Positive Reviews
Wonderful app, but can be confusingAfter using all of the competitor apps in this space, I have come back here. The major reason is the wonderful partnership with the king of sleep, tracker apps-AutoSleep. All of the other apps more or less forced me to use Apple sleep tracking for them to work properly and that has never worked for me whereas AutoSleep does everything I need it to do. If I have one criticism, it's the learning curve that it takes to figure out how this app works, and the interface which I must say is a bit busy and kind of confusing at times. If the interface was just a bit more polished, I would have no problem giving it five stars. I particularly like the whole "eclipse" game gamification concept as well as the activity path..Version: 1.11
Essential Tool for Managing Sleep and Health as an AnesthesiologistAs an anesthesiologist with a demanding career that includes taking calls and dealing with unpredictable sleep patterns, the Eclipse Health and Sleep app has been a game-changer for me. The nature of my job often leads to wild sleep swings, which can significantly impact my overall health, mood, and performance. What I love most about Eclipse is how seamlessly it correlates my erratic sleep schedule with various health metrics. It’s one thing to feel groggy or irritable after a rough night’s sleep, but having the digital data to compare with my own self-awareness has been eye-opening. The app’s ability to track and visualize patterns in my sleep, mood, and overall wellness provides valuable insights I wouldn’t otherwise have. The interface is intuitive, and the insights feel highly personalized rather than just generic feedback. Having access to this kind of detailed data helps me make better decisions about recovery and lifestyle adjustments, particularly after grueling call shifts. Eclipse has become an essential tool in managing my health, allowing me to stay at my best professionally and personally. I highly recommend it to any healthcare professional or anyone with a demanding lifestyle looking for clear, actionable health insights..Version: 1.15
I like the idea but the reality just doesn’t do much.In the time I’ve used the app it has been an ok mirror of how I feel - and that’s both the power and flaw of it. If I’m already aware that (eg) I’m feeling sluggish, it isn’t that useful for an app to tell me that I’m right! It is interesting but not especially actionable. The most useful reading is recovery - if that’s out of balance it reinforces that I should take a nap and perhaps ease off a bit where I can. Fine. Readiness is more frustrating- when that’s out of balance, there’s not a lot I can do and not a lot that is useful about that knowledge. Sometimes it tells me I’m out of balance but I feel great - how is that helpful? Other times I’m in balance but feel below par - is the contradiction useful? I really like the idea of tracking various variables, but I struggle with it being useful to me. So I’ve stopped..Version: 1.8
Overhyped, overpriced, underwhelmingWhile this navel gazing app is perfect for the overly self absorbed, the practical value is limited, the novelty and entertainment value expires as quickly as the free trial, and the depth of the analysis is shallower than a puddle on a hot August afternoon. There is a lack of clarity to questions (does experiencing a major illness include long term/lifelong chronic conditions, or are they asking only about exigent conditions?) Other types of questions might better be answered with a little guidance from the app, which in most cases has access to a lot of data about you in Apple Health. Why not put all that information to work, along with the general fund of medical knowledge, to suggest appropriate answers to questions such as the amount of sleep you need. And why not make those answers more readily available for editing and fine tuning? In the end this is app which charges us a monthly fee to share with us a bit of information of which every human is already intrinsically, viscerally aware. How do I feel, and is this a good day or a crappy one. No doubt this is an essential for a certain class of “special” people, but utilty for the rest of us will require a lot more work to produce an app which is not only visually attractive, but practical and substantive..Version: 1.7
Huge fan of getting a quick glimpse of my overall well being!I’m a huge advocate and fan of AutoSleep and HeartWatch, Eclipse Yourself definitely follows suit! Finding the ideal number of hours and what it takes to get great sleep without having to deal with the hassle of a fixed sleep schedule has been immensely beneficial. Usually in the morning I do a quick glance at Eclipse to check how well everything is in balance. After many evaluations I can say it’s pretty darn accurate and my mind doesn’t have to get bogged down by details right when I wake up. I’m always looking for ways to optimize my life and this trip of apps has significantly improved the quality of my life. These, proper nutrition, intense exercise and extremely efficient sleep.. you have to put in the actual work after all. While the apps won’t magically improve you, they are blissful experience to use and make tracking a lot of great statistics quite easy. Combining custom focus modes with the wide assortment of widgets = effortless logging. It’s actually been enjoyable to discover correlations in the data and dial in my “routine”. Thank you 🙏.Version: 1.9
Lots of potentialI love the other apps from this dev so I’ve been excited to try this app. It has a lot of potential, and I can’t wait for it to fulfill that. In its current state, it crashes quite a bit (iPhone 14 pro, 17.3.1 and Watch 7), and it doesn’t sync automatically. I had to keep double checking AutoSleep to make sure it had recorded my sleep, since this app said no sleep recording. The info is a little hard to interpret. I also wish it would have an idea if tomorrow morning is good for a work out, assuming I sleep a full night. I usually workout before work, so this is info that would be helpful before bed..Version: 1.8
Surprisingly good for those who aren't hardcore athletesWhen I first read about this app while reading the HeartWatch help files at first I thought it was an app mainly for elite athletes. The marketing makes it seem that way, but after trialing it I've found it also works for people like me who are potatoes and maybe go on a walk a few times a day at most. It's like the Activity rings in the stock Fitness app but takes into consideration overall wellness, not just being active. Getting a lot of movement done is great and all but it should also be backed by good rest and mental well being. I also appreciate how there's *zones* for activity levels rather than a fixed number to aim for. Two zones in fact, one for getting in better shape and one for maintaining good health on those chill-out/break days. What I would like to non-urgently see in the future is some extra goodies like adjusting heart rate zones to "heart reserve" method and some more home screen widgets and Apple Watch complications. But beyond that no major complaints so far. Great complementary app to HeartWatch and AutoSleep..Version: 1.8
ADHD approvedObsessed with this app. Love the overview of my sleep, activity and mental alertness. Not only is it proving to be accurate after two weeks of use, it’s actually encouraging me to sleep more, be more active and more aware of my needs. I pair it with the AutoSleep app, which is how I found Eclipse, and in my 38 years I haven’t found a tool as effective as this pair of apps to get me sleeping better and moving more. It’s freaking genius and I love it and it’s cheap and it’s worth it and you should immediately download it and use it because of all the reasons above. App developers - you’re the GOATS and I love you all 💗💗💗.Version: 1.10
They’re onto somethingThis is the beginning of a useful health app. It does show me an accurate picture of how I am feeling. It’s just hard to tell exactly what I should do to feel better and improve the areas that are lacking. For example, it is saying that my recovery is lacking each day and it keeps getting worse. But I’m not sure what I should do to improve that. But overall I think with more fine tuning and more stats and info this will be an incredibly valuable app to TRACH overall fitness..Version: 1.4
I wish the all written data was audible!Isn’t that’s what AI is for? Let’s get those done and I’ll be willing to pay a little more! Also, make the voice of the speaker a doctor or authority voice! Don’t start voice automatically, have voice indicators on the screen that I reading! Also, after finishing workout, in the wellness survey keep account of what I did previously yesterday for that work and keep the same setting when the app requests your survey. I shouldn’t have to put the same values everyday, I should only have to put any notes! Finally, there should an final day review also audible when I can see what I did today and what you suggest I can do next as the next stage ie you did a flexibility work for 15min how about segmenting your workouts? Or increase… you have all of the health data. Maybe it’s there and I haven’t seen it yet! That’s all, great work so far and leaning a lot. Focus forward!.Version: 1.4
Slow to appreciate but the entire scope is greatI took to this app very slowly but over some time I learned to appreciate its balancing act and how it worked. It is very helpful to understand how the three factors work together to promote and improve a balanced life. It’s very satisfying to reach the ‘everything is in balance’ today. I do try and check it daily and I appreciate and like the music used for wake ups. It’s that wonderful alarm music. And the app works! It has improved my sleep and how I enter the day and keep my attitude positive..Version: 1.11
Questions:I’m trying this app out right now and I’ve been sick during the entire trial period. It says I’ve been doing ”extreme training” and therefore my recovery/readiness is poor. I filled out the wellness survey each day and marked that I was sick, but it doesn’t change. What does it mean when it says you are doing “extreme training” but YOU AREN'T HARDLY MOVING due to illness???? Is there an accuracy problem? Or is it saying something about my HRV? There’s just no explanation, so all this data is not helpful for me… I’m also worried that it’s always going to tell me that I have poor recovery/readiness and discourage me from being active….Version: 1.8
Recovery should be subset of ReadinessPoor recovery metrics should feed the overall one-number/one-phrase readiness score. If this app could distill all the underlying data it already collects into a single score, then users who feel their one-number readiness score may not accurately reflect their own waking experience could dig into all the factors the app is using… but otherwise there is currently too much scrolling required and too much data presented in order to get the app’s subjective assessment..Version: 1.7
Great Wellness SnapshotI’ve been a user and huge champion for AutoSleep and HeartWatch since 2018. I recommend both to everyone that has an Apple Watch. There is a lot of data available in the two applications, which I’ve discovered that Eclipse brings together in an easy to understand interface. It’s very useful to get that quick snapshot and also dive further into details. It’s helpful to learn what attributes indicate and impact recovery and readiness..Version: 1.10
I’ll bite for a yearLove the other programs by this developer and so wanted to also try this. The jury is still out for my one week trial so I’ll bite for an annual since it’s reasonable. I HATE subscriptions since I’m old and I’m afraid I’ll croak and my grandkids will still be paying this every month in perpetuity. But I’m curious as to what they’ll be able to do with this now that they have my extra $20. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. I do like all the pretty colors..Version: 1.8
Eclipse, a Tool in my Healthy ToolboxEveryday my day begins with how I prepared my body the day before. Eclipse helps me to make SMART choices to guide me in getting the most and giving the most I can to the people, events and places I encounter each day. I have coronary artery disease and atrial fibrillation that have challenged me to be more AWARE of my heart. Eclipse is a true gift and guide as I navigate my health issues during these twilight years! Thank you for this application..Version: 1.11
Worth the learning curveI’ve been using Eclipse for about one month now. I really like the eclipse concept and how it equates to a sort of holistic picture of one’s health. Not only does it track pretty accurately how I’m feeling, it allows me to pick out specific focus areas to improve upon. I’m sleeping more and trying to keep my activity in the fast lane! Worth the learning curve to figure out what all the different metrics mean exactly..Version: 1.4
Amazingly Accurate!I am impressed with this wonderful intuitive app. I am impressed with this ability to use the data from my Iwatch. The goal of this app is to create “balance” for all-around health and performance. Thank you, creators, for sharing with the world your outstanding concept, visuals, accurate data, and information. Way to go! Bravo! I can not wait to see your next project. Very cool 😎.Version: 1.10
Fantastic appThis app is terrific. I reached to their support on a Friday night with some suggestions and got a response with a link to “how to” in an hour. Only feedback is to have a set of history rings for each previous day like they have in HeartWatch or Sleepwatch to help monitor progress in greater detail than that can be seen on the graph..Version: 1.10
Shedding Light on HRVInteresting app. I’ve travelled a great deal for many years, earned quite some immunity and experienced the normal creaks of age, but choose to adapt and keep a reasonable pace. This app has taken me quite some time to warm up to, but it tracks my state well enough and is the only thing that has ever given me a sense of how to think of HRV and use it to inform my pace. Worth the price of admission..Version: 1.11
Just updated the app. Will give it another go!Honestly, I still don’t get the additional benefits this app has over the last 2 that I bought. Both HeartWatch&AutoSleep are full of info that can easily give us the full picture already. This app might work better as a one time purchase rather than subscription based. It would be nice if they also introduce special rates for AutoSleep& HeartWatch users. Gonna give it 30 more days try and report back..Version: 1.9
Nice data synthesisThis app works well in conjunction with my health related apps on my iPhone and Apple watch. most is the synthesis of information it’s pretty consistently accurate with how I actually feel which means to me that the metric is spot on. I’ve received great support from the support team. Pretty much unmatched by any other app as far as support goes. I give it two thumbs up for sure..Version: 1.7
Great appI love this app. I like that I am able to record the events of the day that helped me with my mental health status as well as tracking, my sleep, my steps, and all that entails with that. It’s a great app I would highly recommend it for anybody. It works well for the beginner like me who does not do workouts and things like that. It’s just an all-around great app..Version: 1.9
SynergyThe Auto Sleep works with the Eclipse to add more detail to what the numbers represent. The injury or sickness matter on how to see when your body is recovering. The temperature of my wrist when not well to the night I as feeling better. I don’t always like answering the questions it I do like to see all the data on the weekends or 7 day trends..Version: 1.10
Very helpful informationI like that I am able to see insights as to the cause of the readings. This app helps me keep a watchful eye on my lifestyle choices. You can customize the daily log to your life. I recommend this app to anyone on a journey to improve their health.Version: 1.11
Love the newest updatesI really do love this app but the required subscription in lue of offering a lifetime purchase may stop me from coming back after my current sub ends. I really despise subs and when I reached out the dev said it’s not in the cards so… that’s super disappointing. The app is good but … not for a reoccurring charge.Version: 1.11
RealisticSome interesting information with some beneficial information on improvement of self. Some areas need a little help in suggestions, eg. not everyone can meditate effectively, but overall goo to know information..Version: 1.11
InformativeGreat app to monitor my daily health. So much good information that is accurate. I like the ability to manually enter information that would normally be missed or misconstrued, like chores. This app is one of my favorites!.Version: 1.11
Helpful Data!!!Very new user but already acquiring extremely great information. Looking forward to learning more and making health gains along the way. Thank you..Version: 1.11
I am getting the hang of this.So - look at it in the morning to see how I did yesterday and what to expect for today. And an idea of adjustments I might try today. From which I will see results tomorrow. Right?.Version: 1.9
This app is a wonderful motivator!I use this app regularly and intend to continue to renew this app for as long as it exists. Continuing improvements, and this is a motivator for me in general for all three of the circles. Thank you so much..Version: 1.11
Recovery & Readiness discrepanciesLove the app but don’t understand why the BPM and HRV for Recovery and Readiness are not the same. Other than that I find the app very helpful with the other fitness features of my series 8 iPhone.Version: 1.7
Eclipse is GreatI am 89 years old. It’s important that I monitor my health and well being closely. Eclipse by far the best App I have found to do that. I tried other apps but they didn’t have the breath of Eclipse.Version: 1.4
WonderfulI love this app! It does what it says it will do. And it is pretty accurate in its results. I bought it for the year I liked it so much!! Thank you!.Version: 1.11
Focus on healthWhat I enjoy most about this app is that it focuses on multiple areas of my health which allows me to be aware on what to work on for the coming day..Version: 1.3
Loaded with InfoIt’s got so much info that it takes some study to understand it. But that’s what you want!.Version: 1.11
EclipseThis is a very useful way to track a number of important data points..Version: 1.9
HRV metrics. Includes a recovery and readiness gaugeSort of turns your Apple Watch into a Harmon for performance metrics. Obviously not as extensive but better than the lack of with only Apple.Version: 1.10
A better whoopI’ve tried many of these trackers…this is the best! The interface is really nice, the data is awesome, and it integrates well with AutoSleep (another of their awesome apps!!)..Version: 1.7
ReviewI suffer from Parkinson’s disease. This program really helps me understand the effects of medication exercise heating habits, and sleeping and they’re collective effect on my health..Version: 1.10
IntriguingI have found that monitoring these markers is making a substantial difference in my overall health..Version: 1.11
Love the appI like knowing my numbers and this seems to be accurate.Version: 1.9
This is a great indicatorIt seems to be spot on and this helps me with my routine. I’m liking it as much as their sleep app! Thanks.Version: 1.8
Easy to use with lots of detailI love this app! It provides an easy to understand dashboard giving me insights into my current fitness levels and provides a lot of details you can dive into for an even better understanding. The developer is extremely responsive and puts a lot of pride into their work. It really shows! Paired with AutoSleep and HeartWatch, this is the final piece of the puzzle to get the insights you need to optimize your training. Keep up the great work!.Version: 1.10
New to eclipseSo far an interesting feedback vehicle that has given me some insight on why I feel tired and fatigued at times. I am some making some changes in my life patterns that I hope will enable me to be more in balance and in the long term healthier both physically and mentally..Version: 1.11
Fun!Cool way to connect my sleep, heart rate and exercise into one spot. Really enjoying the app..Version: 1.9
