Technical issuesI switched over from the main app to this app. I love the new Plans feature. But absolutely hate all of the bugs this app has. My account keeps getting flagged for no reason. And each time I reach out to BFF Support, they just send me an email saying it was a mistake. But they restricted my account due to THEIR MISTAKE and then never undo their restrictions. Even though i have the emails from them admitting their mistake. The restrictions just make it where I can’t link my instagram account which is minor but still annoying since it was their mistake to begin with. I keep seeking out help from support but they aren’t understanding the issue I keep telling them i think. The app is a great idea for people who are only interested in making friends. The only downside is there’s a lot of bugs and technical issues with the app that have yet to be resolved so just beware of that and report any you find so that their team can hopefully work on them..ShayandreaVersion: 5.352.1

Okay appI got this app because I'm doing school online and don't have any friends beside my boyfriend. I made a solid friend on here within a day of having the app so I don't even need it anymore. What I like about it: • Has verification which is good for safety reasons • There's a variety of fun prompts you can put & answer on your profile • It finds potential matches near your location so you can hangout irl. • You can filter your options by location proximity & age •Even if you don't match with someone you can send them a message called a compliment (they are limited though) What I don't like about it: •There's not a whole lot of options for these tag things you can put on your profile to see what you have in common with people. For ex:One tag might be basketball to show you like basketball. And you can only pick 5. I think there should be more options and the max should be raised to 8-10. •You have a limited amount of likes •If you accidentally swipe left you can only back track if you pay money •They only let conversations with matches be open for 72 hours. (you can pay money to lengthen the time but only by another day). Dating app for friends!I was hesitant to get the app as I am married and was worried it wasn’t actually a friend app but more like a dating app but no! You get people who are also just looking for friends. It’s the same as a dating app, you get to fill out everything about you, post pictures and set distance and age preferences. So far I’ve noticed that texting first is the best way to actually get people to talk but if you’re too scared send a gif! Me and my husband both got the app and I mostly get women on mine and he gets mostly men, now idk if you can’t change the preferences to mix or get the opposite gender but it doesn’t bother us at all. Cool conceptI think the app is a great idea, although there are a few issues for me. Have to pay to see who likes youI don't like 2 things about this app. One is that I set parameters for persons I want to see, but those parameters don't apply to persons who can like ME. For example, I can filter out persons who smoke or persons who are 25 miles away from me, but those persons can still find ME. So I get a "like" and have to pay to see who liked me, just to discover it's a smoker from too far away. Great Concept, not so great executionI love the concept of this app, and I’ve started a few conversations, enough to recommend it to others. Profile pictures keep getting deletedI keep trying to edit my profile so that there is more than one picture of me and it doesn’t seem to matter whether I add them all at the same time or one at a time, they all eventually disappear. I’ve tried about 8 different times in different ways. Tried getting out of the app and starting over again. Every time it ends up deleting at least 1-2 of the 5 I’ve tried to add and the only one I can get it to keep is the main one which eventually I actually want to replace. Its extremely frustrating! None of the pictures break any guidelines of any kind, they all show my face clearly, they’re all pictures of me, my profile is verified. It’s just okI think people are a little confused. You are able to see your matches for free, you just can’t see who liked you unless you pay the subscription. Meaning either a)someone liked you and they haven’t shown up on your feed yet, or b)they were briefly in your area and then went out of range so you wouldn’t be able to see them in your feed anymore. My main issue with this app is that I don’t understand the algorithm. Like why don’t I see everyone all at once and instead just get a few profiles to see every so often? Like why are people appearing 3 hours later instead of before? And why don’t people show up again even after a few weeks? Deleting my photos and pricesFirst and foremost, it keeps deleting my photos every time I log back on or my photos keep getting taken down even though they’re just photos of me and nothing wrong with it. I keep putting photos in my account and they take it down for community guidelines but it’s literally just a picture of me sitting in my car or just a normal picture of me. BlockedI got this app to find friends in my area, although I did match with a few people when I tried to log back on, it said that I had been reported in my account was permanently blocked. i’m not sure why someone reported me, but obviously the app did not do their research before choosing to block me. I had no pictures on there, except for a couple pictures of me where I was fully clothed and a picture of my dog. In my bio all I said was where I was from and that I was looking for friends to hang out with. Buggy app with potentialDownloaded this app yesterday, and got to talking to some cool people! Thought I’d give premium a try for a bit, and as soon as I purchased the subscription, my messages are stuck endlessly loading, not allowing me to respond or read chats. Could be betterI downloaded this app after moving to a new state, and to be fair, I have made a couple of friends using it. To me, two small changes would make this a much better app. 1) Allow people to meet friends of any gender. In real life I have always had friends who were both male and female, and gay and straight. Better vetting processIt’s not Bumbles fault , but a lot of men on the bff feature are here trying to get s*x. I recently matched with a married guy (married to a woman) , as we’re talking he then tells me he’s bi. Eventually he says he’s lookin to get physical with a guy as he’s never done that. I then clearly stated that I am JUST here for friendship and nothing else (I’m also in a relationship). I told him cheating isn’t cool and he shouldn’t step out on his wife, I was then blocked/unmatched. It bothers me that men are here for bad intentions when there are countless other apps/services that provide that. BFF should make it clear to new users that this is just for friendship connections, and also users should be able to report other users in cases like these (in appropriate circumstances) and that accoun should be banned (temporarily or permanently). PointlessApp is completely consumed by men from the dating side who realized most women moved to the BFF side.. these males are still using it as a dating app and theres no option to filter to females only. 9/10 women i swipe by have “no men” in their bios!!!!! myself being one of them after several bad experiences of men lying about their intentions. men do not look for friendships with women. they see it as an opportunity to pretend to be a cool, nice guy until you meet up with them and they try to sleep with you. generally getting extremely aggressive when you reject them. even if you tell them 25 times before hand that you’re only looking for platonic friendships.
