Bp Pulse: EV Charging Customer Service

I downloaded this app because a new BP pulse station went in near me. The station has been flawless, 3 for 3. But today the app won’t let me log in. Upon launch, it has 2 red banners saying account disabled and unable to log in. Please fix. Also, please consider a subscription plan for United States customers.

I have had an EV for a few months now, and some of the charging stations have been absolutely awful to work with, if they want to work at all. BP Pulse has been reliable so far with each time I’ve needed them, and the price is about standard which I think is reasonable. However a little faster than most of the other chargers as well. BP Pulse is one of my favorite charging stations at this point, and as a bonus, the app is very easy to use.

Absolutely loving the improvements from bp pulse lately! The new stations in the Bay Area are a total win—especially the 3 brand-new 450 kW chargers. They are blazing fast and super reliable. What really impressed me though is how affordable the sessions are now—makes a huge difference for daily EV users like me. bp pulse is clearly stepping up their game, and it shows. Highly recommend this app for anyone serious about convenient, fast, and cost-effective EV charging. 🙌🔋

I had been using the Electrify America network since I purchased my EV. However, pricing was not competitive and their charging stations have had frequent outtages and poor charging times. Using the BP network has been a much better experience. Pricing has so far been very competitive against other charging networks and reliability as well. Much happier so far with these chargers.

For all the people having difficulties with the charger connecting to your car/charge port: Possible Answer: From what I have read online, the EVSE cables are heavy, and because of the weight of those cables, the charger/station will assume there is an issue with connection or your car. Possible Solution: After placing the charger inside the charging port of your vehicle, hold the charger cable (tube) up straight for 15—30 seconds to ensure charger is connected. This has worked for me each time I’ve used these EVSE’s. Hopefully this works for you too. Good luck and safe travels!

I’ve used the app now for about a week and love the stations when I can get to them. The locations need to be more intuitive, particularly when planning a charge in advance. The value, however, is very good, as most stations are cheaper thantheir competitors. Keep expanding!

There’s nothing worse than an app that doesn’t keep you signed in and you have to keep adding your info to over and over!… come on devs fix this

Let me start a charge a couple times, though it crashed once. Kept updated on the charge though some animation or more obvious indication it's ongoing would her nicer

Located in the lot a 24 hour gas station, well lit, and a few mins off the freeway. Very easily accessible and easy to use whether you’re using the app or just paying with a card at the charger.

An exit office I 95, this charging station with fast charge stations with available open 24/7. Also, the ground are clean with other Services available while you’re charging.

I read some not so favorable reviews but I have been here three times now with charging up to 135 kw. No issues convenient location and a Thorton’s at location. I’ll be back.

This is a new facility near my place and I like that it charges very rapidly and is easy access! I’ve used it multiple times and will do so again

You credit card scan does not work

I wish they had more of these BP chargers all over! When you have the app it’s so fast and easy to start the charging process! Less than 7seconds to plug in and start

I’ve used this station about 3 times in the past few weeks; has been working and charges adequately for all visits.

For the most part the chargers are all operating. Some times they are off line and someone needs to report it. Otherwise, it stays broken. Great store area. Always lit up. Area is clean.

This is my first 3rd visit to a PBPulse and they have been fully functional every time. That’s really all I ask.

To me this is what all charging stations should look like. Tons of fast chargers available and ALL working.

The app is simple, straight forward, and super easy to use! Looking forward to seeing more DC fast chargers come online for even more charging options!

What are a few EV charging apps that doesn’t give me any problems. It’s consistently working and communication is smooth

Fast efficient in a great location near my home. The app seems to do what it’s supposed to do without any problems.

Everything works fine good station

Great app. Card scan doesn’t work when inputting payment method. But that’s my only issue.

Cheaper than EA. Don’t like the plug handle as it is hard to disconnect after charging. Am/pm store is clean and a nice grass area behind the spot for dog to “stretch their paws”.

Great charging speed and easy to deal with, but greatly in need of more locations.

Pre authorization is lower and when BP Pulse adds their unlimited subscription! Good Bye EVCS who is next door In Springfield but the only EVCS charger is still down. Thank you BP Pulse for adding 2 chargers CHAdeMO and CCS combos

Fast and easy

The equipment charged quickly. There was a 10 cent per KwH discount for Thanksgiving weekend.

App is intuitive and I’ve never had an issue initiating sessions. Great solution for finding ev charging!

Love using this app and can’t wait for more chargers to come online

Works perfectly and sufficient chargers

I think there needs to be legislature passed to manage these charging stations and companies. These companies have got to be using tax breaks to set these systems up, but skim as much as they can off the top. This system is absolutely garbage. The UI on the charger and the app are trash and even their website does not have any meaningful help. I don’t understand why you have to go through a useless app with no functionality to even set up payments with ease just to plug in your vehicle. There is not even a readily available station number in the charger, which you need to work the app. Lame and another poor attempt to build brand loyalty by building junk and overly complicated systems. It’s like they want the government incentives without having to actually provide any service.

I downloaded the app because the user interface on the charger is broken, the app asked me for a station ID but it wanted more than the number 43 which was written on the charging station in permanent marker turns out there's a whole bunch of characters that go before the 43 which no one bothered to draw on the machine. I downloaded the app and tried my best to make the charging session work on my own but the app failed to initiate charging and then I called the phone number app gives for support and the same person answered all three times and that person hung up on me a minute each time. The first two times they didn't even wait for me to say hello before they hung up. This service is so bad that it would be better if it did not exist at all

Somehow they designed an app you can’t sign up for on your phone! Sabotage by big oil? You have to supply them a phone number, done. Then an email address, done. But then when you put in a password- a “Register” button OVERLAYS a mandatory “terms and conditions” checkbox that MUST be checked in order for you to register. But ironically, it’s designed in such a stupid way that you cannot check the “terms” box because it’s covered with the “register” button. And if you hit the “register” button without checking the box- it won’t let you register. Guess I’ll have to find an iPad and try on there. But they need to fire whoever they used for UI/UX, as well as anyone who approved this stupidity.

I am not surprised BP charging station was completely empty. Instead of just swiping card to charge like Electrify America, they require app AND card added to the app. OK, Tesla does the same. But it works while BP app was unable to add any of my cards. People, make it as gas station - swipe card, charge. UPD - received response that this is “like Tesla”. Well, Tesla is BAD example, with their screens and apps all over. One more time - must be like gas station. Swipe, charge. No 7 different apps. And besides, why there is an assumption that even must own a smartphone?

I haven’t had issues using the app in months. Then as soon as this update happens not only do I have reenter all of my information like I’m creating a new account, the app won’t even connect to the charger to start the process. Give a big round of applause for the genius who decided the app needed an update. I’ll be charging at a competitor for the foreseeable future.

I had a few miles left on my electric van, pulled in to charge, didn’t take my card, call them, they can’t find the station on their end, I download their app, couldn’t upload money, they couldn’t find my email address or account, had to spend hundreds on towing. Less that useless

The app requires you to provide a phone number. I don’t see why I need to provide a phone number in order to use the app. I don’t want to support yet another company gathering all my information to sell and target ads. I get enough spam calls already. I’ll charge elsewhere.

48 cents all day. Should change depending on the time of day. Not just stay 48 cents because that’s the standard rate. Other than that it’s a gas station (Thorntons). Bathroom and basic groceries. Need more advertising.

Wasted 45 minutes of my life, trying to connect to four different chargers at this location use them before now this stupid app is down worst charging station ever, called the 800 number that was another waste of 10 minutes of my life

This is only fast charger i have near by . Only one works and other one always has problem.

Use the screen on the side instead. Do not install this app— it’s a waste of time. You have to create an account and it defaults to sending you garbage marketing emails. Just use the screens on the chargers.

Tried 3 different cards from 3 different issuers. All got denied by the app for an unknown reason. The payment terminal on the charger took the card without any issues but I missed out on the app discount. Disappointed
