AirKey helps customers verify their identity by simply tapping their AirKey-enabled card to their phone. With the AirKey app, you can learn more about how the AirKey technology works and try it out. All you need is an AirKey-enabled card to get started (just look for the key symbol on the back of your card to determine if your card is AirKey-enabled).

For certain transactions, you can
• Review transaction details such as the merchant name, transaction amount, and card details to confirm its legitimacy and
• Tap your AirKey-enabled card to your phone to prove the card is in your possession - after successfully authenticating, you continue your shopping experience

AirKey’s Capital One Visa integration is a complete failure.The AirKey app has one of the worst user experiences I’ve ever encountered. I’m currently in South Korea and have been completely stranded because the app is stuck in a nonstop demo loop with no way to use my card. There is no workaround. The only button I’m allowed to press is “FAQ,” which is useless when the issue is that I literally cannot authenticate or pay for anything.
There’s no option to request help, no alternate authentication method, no special PIN system — nothing. I had to restart my phone, delete and reinstall the app, and still got nowhere. This is unacceptable for something that people depend on for essential daily transactions.
I’m genuinely considering switching away from Capital One entirely because this integration is so unreliable. AirKey needs to fix this immediately. This should not be happening..Teal&Purple.<3Version: 1.1.11
Do NOT use Capital one cardsI got a capital one card so that I could use it while traveling in Europe and not have to inform my credit card company every time I went to a different country. Unfortunately, every time I made an online purchase they would make me verify it using this app, and while it worked at first, one day it just stopped. Therefore, EVERY SINGLE TIME I needed to buy something online, I was unable to. Vatican tickets, colosseum tickets, reservation fees, etc. I couldn’t even call capital one about it because I had gotten a UK number, and they DO NOT LET YOU even speak to someone if your number doesn’t match a card. Super glitchy, ruining my tripI’m in a foreign country so I can’t use my cell phone number linked to my cap one account to verify my purchases or login. Great in theory, terrible in executionIt’s not often that I need to use AirKey to verify a transaction. Most of the time when I DO need to verify a transaction however, it’s because I’m trying to purchase a foreign product or service using an online storefront WHILE I AM IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. HorribleI am literally switching to a new credit card company because the Airkey feature is so abysmal.
I moved to the UK and was told my card would be fully functional here, which it was 10 years ago. False. Now, it is not possible to make any online purchases or even pay my bills or part of my tuition, because Airkey is required yet literally does not WORK in the UK.
To make basic payments, I have to go into the app store and switch my country to America, input a family member's info, and THEN use Airkey before switching BACK to the UK and inputting all my info so I can use my phone.
