App quit working (Update)Update: Received a response from the app developer stating they were working on a fix. It is now fixed and working flawlessly as it did before. Thank you! Have had the app for a while and it worked flawlessly. A few days ago it wouldn’t log me in at all. It’s like there is a glitch in the system. Most employers healthcare providers have an insanely high deductible, of which would never be met, unless you are unfortunate enough to have a hospital stay. I have not had anyone who is not in Ambetter’s member group. I’ve had nothing but positive interactions with Ambetter staff. I have no complaints, and nothing but praise, which is very rare these days for an insurance company. Can’t access mobileI set up an account in my computer, paid my premium and everything. I’m waiting for that to finalize. I have attempted to login through my phone on both the app and website, and when I enter the password it is saying it is incorrect. I try to change password, I can get through but it is a different password than what I use on my computer. When I finally get into the app, it asks “who would you like to add access to a healthcare plan for?”. Works great but doesn’t for me anymoreThe app has been a godsend when it comes to taking care of my insurance stuff. But as of today (may 28th 2026) it no longer works for me. App is great.. when it actually works!I find the app very convenient and useful… when I can actually access it. For the last few weeks I’ve been unable to login to my account. When I click “Log In with User ID” and enter my email address, it routes me to a password reset page. I have no reason or desire to change my password. Can’t update anythingI need to update my payment in the app by bank account and it won’t save it keeps giving me an error and please try again later. I don’t have the card to update it that way that’s why I need to by bank account info but it won’t let me. New Health Insurance PlanThe insurance plan I chose is the perfect plan for me. I chose this plan because it’s an unlike most plans that require additional coverage. This plan allows me to have added coverages at a lower out of pocket expense. For the monthly premium I pay I’m surprised coverage like this exists. Terrible!!This insurance is terrible!! Just as with most other insurances. Pay out of the nose for no coverage. Costs are put on the patient. Customer service is terrible as well. I’ve called several times to get coverage information and amounts for a few different outpatient services and kept getting sent over to a different person and no one could answer the question. The website is useless. This is a complete joke!! Never again. Come November we are getting rid of this useless what they call “medical insurance”…… oh and no one tells you the wait times for the new patient appointments you have to wait almost a year for because you are forced to switch doctors that take the insurance at the time of the appointment. Then you are told when you finally go to that appointment that the facility and drs no longer accept that insurance but that we just send the bills in to get reimbursed. Pointless appThis app is not helpful. The only thing I can look up our medical providers and the results that I give me are not related to the search most of the time. When I try looking for dentist, I get gynecologist and mental health therapist, physical therapist and other types of random searches. When I try to search for a mental health therapist, I virtually get no searches that are related to what I’m looking for. It’s basically pointless to use a search door. Also, there is no cost estimator for certain procedures and that’s saying that would be helpful. The thing that I dislike is the login process. What is the 40 of the bio identifier/Face ID if it’s always gonna open up a second window for me to physically login. I also dislike that I can’t take screenshots in the app. This is my information I want to be able to have copies of it if I please. Horrible InsuranceThis company is absolutely the worst! The customer service is terrible, and the app is just as bad. It couldn't even save my login info, making it impossible to get in. They really need to shut this insurance down because they’re just awful. I ended up paying for everything out of my own pocket since they didn’t cover anything. What is the purpose of this app?Let's see, I can view my ID card. Oh, I can do that in the native Wallet app. I already know my primary care provider's name. Anything about the plan or coverage takes me to their glacially slow website, but, hey, everything about how I pay them is right here. For the record, it's much, much more important to have information about what you do for me available in the app than it is to have information about what I do for you. New customer - app is so glitchy!Just became newly enrolled and starting to use the app. I’m 26 so learning a new app is not an issue for me. This app has already crashed 3 times within my first 10 minutes of using it! It crashes every time I try to add my health insurance card to my wallet - but also blacks out any screenshots… I don’t trust this app to be the only place I can have my insurance card! Hopefully a physical copy comes in the mail soon. Second thing I did was update my “member communication” methods to be all email, except the page glitches and you can’t scroll down all of the way. So I guess some notifications I’ll have to receive by snail mail, but not even sure which ones since it won’t let me scroll down. From my first 10 minutes using the app, it seems like a bother. App good Provider makes me AmpoorerThe APP is good although tends to forget biometrics after every update. Not complaining about that either. As a provider Ambetter health is one of the bad guys on the market. They give you a list of providers as per your filter and health plan and when you call them they say they don’t deal with Ambetter or don’t support your plan. When you call Ambetter care on the same date and time you are given a disclaimer that says provider list is subject to change. Subject to change in minutes ? Wow such tardiness. For me the nearest one that agrees with my value gold plan is 14 miles away and doesn’t work weekends. There are a 100s of doctors around me but because of the poor reputation of Ambetter health no doctors wants to use them . Horrible Customer Service and CoverageThis has been the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with an insurance company all around. The customer service is outsourced and the people who you reach make you spell everything multiple times, can’t find what you ask them for, and there is zero communication or integration between departments. I had to take 2 weeks off work to find a location that could see my daughter for her concussion. The insurance company was no help. I had to take her to a city 4 hours away as there was nowhere innetwork within 60 miles. I tried to get a single case agreement for a local concussion clinic but was told it would take 45 days or longer and likely would not be approved. I had to escalate the case which took 3 more days just for the escalation department to tell me how long things should take but the things were not completed in the timeframe given. I was told I could escalate my escalation to the SWAT team which I did but the SWAT team took 5 more days to get back to me. My daughter’s care suffered and thus her recovery time was lengthened causing worsening of her symptoms to severe. This insurance is 2600 per month for horrible coverage and worse customer service. App Needs Major ImprovementsI’m very frustrated with using this app, it always kicks off when logging in so basically I’ll have to login in twice and get about 4 verification codes through email. The app itself is not all that great doesn’t have many features you basically have to use the website to get a better usage like picking a different PCP because through the app it only gives you about 3 options. The app is basically pointless you might as well use the website but in my case I have to go through the app to use the website because just going to the website without the app for some reason it can’t find my account. App just exists, it does nothingOne of those apps that prefers botting good reviews over simply making a good app. You cannot find any providers when you search. It’s inconsistent and the software is on par with year 2009 intelligence. Face ID breaks internally every update. 4 point log in structure and serves as a multi tab bill pay interface. Providers are not updated, and the software cannot detect when you search for urologist what type of doctor’s should be recommended for example. Good luck with words like ‘ orthopedic specialist ‘ the system cannot detect ‘like’ words. Used to work.The thing that I don’t like about and better is that for whatever reason they like to decide towards the end of the month to do update or basically have the website where we can’t use it. Scam… Lying ScamClicked on an ad for a “$6400” subsidy. Actually was able to qualify this time as I just lost my job and health coverage. Was told I was being enrolled in a marketplace insurance program. Ad says the day after sign up my debit card would be mailed to me. Oh and I only get $340/month not the $6400/month advertised. Then on subsequent follow up calls, I get told that nothing happens until after the first of the month when my coverage takes effect. The. Cannot Access ANY Member Data—App UselessI have been an Ambetter customer for three years and have had no trouble accessing my account using a web browser. A few weeks ago I downloaded the app on my iPhone 15 Pro, and I’ve tried multiple times to login. Horrible customer serviceMy type 1 diabetic son has been waiting over 7 days for a prior authorization. Every phone call made to customer service was met with a different reason as to what the hold up was. They refused to escalate the issue for us. They have literally taken away his lifeline. Major IssuesThe app will not allow me to add my ID cards to my Apple Wallet. The app force closes every time I try to add the ID cards. I am also not able to change PCPs even though the FAQs clearly state you can. The app won’t even allow me to report these issues. Apple constantly crash, refused to authenticate and will require to re-enter the password when Face ID stops working. The App never show up to date billingFrustrating. Every time I log on the app to check my billing, it has a due date two months previous to the actual due date. For instance, I log in August 12 and the app says my payment is due June 30. There’s not good reason for this. App does not load on most recent update Nov 2025Unfortunately the most recent update has caused the app to get stuck on a black screen after it prompted me to log back in. The SSO portion loads and authenticates me, and it asks if I want to enable notifications, but after that screen it just stays black and blank. Switching to another app makes the AmBetter app screen turn white for a second, but then goes back to black on reopening it. This is on IOS 18.3.2 for an older iPhone model. So many BugsThe app is not letting me log in at all. It recognizes my Face ID and then proceeds to try to log in, fails, then brings me right back to the sign in page, only to try to Face ID my face again and the process repeats over and over. Worse app EVERI rarely write reviews but this has to be the worst app ever. I can no longer view my dependents cards and sharing the card via email with anyone is pretty impossible and it never sends.
