Fun app, one small glitchI've been a GarageBand user for over a decade so I am coming to this app with that experience. What I like about the app is that due to its bare bones approach for recording guitars bases and vocals with no midi or virtual instruments to be found, I'm finding that it causes me to focus more on my guitar playing instead of relying on beats and backing instrumentation and I get a lot better amps and effects with this app than I do in GarageBand. if I want to use a drum loop, then I can simply import one from another program or I have the option to load one of the jam tracks and mute whatever instrument I don't want to use in the jam track, for instance, just play along with the jam track drums. A technical glitch I have however, is when I first connect my iPhone 14 Pro Max to my Behringer interface there is a delay of about 10 seconds where I can hear low level audio popping and on one of the channels on my interface the input lights blink for a few seconds then it goes away and I can start recording with the app normally. My interface is perfectly fine and I'm not experienced this issue with any other apps, including GarageBand, BandLab or any of them. also, I do not experience this with my 2017 iPad no issues with it, so I may just use this app on my iPad only until perhaps future updates will fix the issue I am experiencing with the iPhone. but overall, I'm liking this app and looking forward to see what Fender adds to it down the road..Rick57Version: 1.0.1

Scarlett soloI hooked this up with my old irig2 and it worked somewhat but has feedback issue with mic blending in I think(iPhone SE) so brought out my Scarlett solo and it recognizes the Scarlett as output but will not recognize it as input… very frustrating because I can tell I could love this app…my Scarlett works great with AUM and loopy…. Registration of Studio failed. Error status 500I have been so excited to tryout this app on my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.6 since I read about it online a few months or so back. Unfortunately, when I log in to the app with my Fender account using Sign in with Apple (which I’ve always used and verified is working on the Fender website, Fender Play, and all the other apps) I receive the following error message “Registration of Studio failed. A error occurred at the server (status 500). When I click the menu icon in the top I see that while the registration part failed I am logged in and my email address is displayed. I’ve tried logging out and then back in. I’ve tried to log in over different wireless networks as well as over my cellular network. I even created a new account using a different email address but, nothing seems to fix the registration issue. Please help and thank you!!!.Barber7272Version: 1.0.2

Re-synchronization issue.So I misunderstood how to adjust the buffers in Fender Studio, my bad, so it's the bit rate and once I set it to 512, everything is OK. I've actually recorded several songs in the software and they came out pretty good. But tonight it started crashing. When you execute it, it won't fully open, it hangs and then it eventually closes, rebooted but that did not rectify the issue. Anybody else having this issue.? On a iPad Pro 12.9 from 2021. so this is an update, so I found a walk around for my issue, if I assure the USB cable is not plugged into my tablet when I execute fender studio, it opens just fine. I just have to make sure that the USB port is not plugged into my tablet when I first initialize Fender studio. Fun recording app!Better than I would have expected for a version 1.0. The defaults are better than average and the free amp and effects are well done, includes a good selection and are all usable as well. I like the ease of use. I did spend a minute looking for input monitoring, as I am used to a real daw and was looking for it on each track and not one setting at the top of the tracks. Other than that it was smooth sailing. I like that Jam tracks are actual tracks too. Overall a very positive experience for a free app. Tip. Make an account at Fender Connect and then log into the app with that account and you will receive more amps and effects. With those added models, I didn’t feel like anything was lacking..JMDECLUEVersion: 1.0

Amazing and funI have been a pro audio guy and guitarist for a long long time. I grew up with analog tape, made an early conversion to ProTools, engineered tons of albums. I now use Logic X and Reaper on my Macs. The ability to mess with the backing tracks is a plus. This could function as a software amp emulator nicely even without the recording/editing. Yes, the processing is a little limited but covers most needs. If they included access to AU or VST plugs then this would be a total game changer. Even as it is, especially for FREE, it is amazing. Server ErrorAs mentioned by others, can’t register because of a 500 Server error. Most of the Jams are locked but that doesn’t really matter because you can’t use the Jam mode! Update: Just receive a reply that the server problem has been fixed but I’m still getting the same 500 Server Error when trying to register. I even created a new ID and password which didn’t help! I realize this is a free app but it would be nice if it actually worked..ChrlswttVersion: 1.2

Nice but needs workThe recordings are clear and the interface is nice but in my experience the metronome is really buggy. Sometimes it comes through in the recordings directly (it’s not the headphones I’ve removed them when testing) This forces me to close the app and reopen it which sometimes solves the issue and sometimes prevents the metronome from being audible at all. This makes the app go from real tool to just a toy. Happy to trouble shoot with dev if needed..Dvn78Version: 1.0.1

First Version Has Some KinksThe app seems to work at the beginning when I connect my iPhone to the a Volt 276 it would let me record, but then it’ll the app keeps going to the background. Headphone problemHeadphones will not work on up-to-date imac. The headphones work on all other sound options on the computer. What is this?I’m a Studio One user and was cautious when Fender bought PreSonus. I felt better when they came out with the “very good” interfaces designed in cooperation with Fender. This app; however, definitely has me worried again. The interface is nothing like Studio One, and I find it so stripped down of functionality that I would never use it. No third party functionality, no chord track (for an app aimed at guitar players), and no TAB integration. Why not have an ReAmp out channel (same as in Studio One) to integrate with the PreSonus interfaces that have a built in Guitar In/Amp Out feature co-developed by Fender? The selection of Amps and Stomps are very limited (not enough to build a proper digital pedalboard for some applications). I thought they would’ve built a very stripped down version of Studio One focused on singer/songwriters/guitar players. One of the complaints I have of Studio One is that it’s too focused on electronic music and not enough on other genres (like folk/bluegrass/outlaw for me). It seems like this product is so disconnected from Studio One (again, I’m a Studio One use and the interface wasn’t immediately intuitive for me) that it doesn’t seem like their strategy is to bring the two together and leverage what they already have in Studio One. It would make sense to me that they would want to make a natural pathway from this free product to their paid Studio One offerings. Very confusing???.Cw03_1310Version: 1.0

Audio not working right.I’m using this with a fender link io on an iPhone 17 pro max, and when monitoring the audio in studio it cuts out like crazy. If I change to monitoring the input signal on the I/O device it sounds fine there. Wiggling all the connections changes nothing. So it has to be a software or compatibility issue. I tired all different bitrates and sample sizes, no difference. I don’t know if it’s the hardware or the software, but it’s completely unusable. Developer said there was an update and to try again. Nice idea, but buggy!I love the idea of a simple DAW focused on jamming, and as a Studio One user I’m glad both products exist. But Fender Studio is extremely buggy. By day two it stopped playing or downloading any jam tracks. They start and fail in under a second, making the app unusable for my main intended purpose. The sign-in flow is also broken: I often get a 500 error, or it just fails with no message. After I finally get signed in, many jam tracks still appear locked and the app tells me to sign in again, even though I already am. Please fix these issues..Moviezzzz123Version: 1.1.1

Additional Plugins are activated if Fender Connect account is syncedI saw that the login peripherals were fixed because I used my apple account to sync with my Fender connect account finally! However the additional plugins that come with when you sync fender connect aren’t included into the program. Do you have an ETA of when this will be fixed? I work in UX and I think the rollout should’ve just included an MVP 1 of the base features. Registration issues continueIPad m4 and iPhone 17. iRig usb. It worked once or twice. Hangs regularly when starting. It’s hit or miss getting it to start jiggling the toilet handle. Too unreliable to trust. Remove the hoops to jump through the inane anti user friendly login/registration and it may be practical. Effects IssueI recently just got the Link I/O to work with the app and was super excited. I got my guitar to come through through my headphones when I’m hooked up to my IPad with the USB-C cable, but it won’t record any sound and none of the effects work. I tried to troubleshoot by looking stuff up online but it won’t even let me change the Audio Setup menu. I think this could be a great app but I’m very disappointed that it’s not working.
