Everything is good but this......I love that fact that you can sample songs and them remix them and so on and so forth, but Apple slammed the DMR on all of my Apple Music songs. It is much harder to sample the music that I want very quickly, and it is frustrating and time consuming. I would like for us to be able to load music from other apps like the Apple iCloud files, documents, etc. All from my iPhone. Besides that: The app is great! Amazing AppThank you so much for updating! One thingIMpc is perfect for new producers. it’s simple yet gives what you need. my only problem is that since i’m making sample based beats, i need a wide source of samples. the only two things you can use to sample on impc is audio copy which is garbage or your own music library. in garage band you can upload from your own iphone files. if impc could do the same it would be near perfect. also giving the option to delete samples would be great.ExcaliberrVersion: 1.4.6

Not bad but has potentialIt works well with my MPD218(if there was a better way to connect hardware + software w/o having to hold the note repeat button while plugging it in that'd be super cool). Also there are crashes every now and then when you edit the sounds in your kit. Would also be nice to have a few extra effects implemented in like reverbs, stretching and other stuff for sure. Would also be fantastic to implement some type of automation feature to control pitch, parameters of the effects. Also, maybe a way to export stems? But pretty cool overall!!! Crashes figured out!!Ok first of ... this is a fun app but it is limited. But for the price... I am happy. This app never crashed on me (owned 2years) until I recently tried to upload a beat to sound cloud. Now it crashes unless I turn off all internet activity ... cellphone data or wifi. Maybe the developers will read this and check into it. I do sound production for SunSlice records and this a fun bus stop or restaurant pass time. I have made some interesting beats by digging into the self sampling and delays. It not the most intuitive but neither is the MPCs it's mimicking. I think anybody expecting something more for $3 may be busting the developers balls a bit here. They give you plenty for what it is. I do like. I own the iPad version too which is more robust. Useful and fun in so many waysWith impc I was able to show my son, he is 9 and has developed an interest in making music, how you can sample various instruments and create kits that can be used to make beats. It was a really cool experience and impc made it really easy to demonstrate the process for him. I was going to rate this four stars just for the fact that I couldn't figure out how to delete my unwanted samples. After emailing the retronyms team they showed me how to do it and it's not difficult, it could be easier but it's not too bad. I'm glad I bought this app. It's fun, functions well, and the fact that it helped me teach my kid something to keep him interested in music is just awesome..XxHodgepodgexXVersion: 1.4.5

Needs AudioBus compatibilityWhat's stopping this app from being a great app? 1. AudioBus. ADD THIS. NOW!!! I can't explain how disappointed I was when I bought AudioBus to discover I could use all of my apps, except for this one. This was a huge blow and a setback. 2. Song Mode Tracks, progs, and seqs are cool and are all present as they should be, but no Song Mode. It makes it extremely hard to organize everything and/or make complete tracks ready to go. 3. Better editing. 4. Really needs better touch response. I find myself full of anxiety trying to rename things or add new tracks/kits. 4. Import folders. iTunes forces you to import sounds individually. I just want to drop folders in so my drum kits can be organized. I don't want a giant list of sounds to browse thru, it's just counterproductive. There's a ton of bugs, glitches and app breaking hiccups. So much potential I hope you guys don't let it go to waste. OVerall decent appA thoughtful app with design quirks that actually make a lot of sense from a performance standpoint. (Check out the genius of the beat repeat switch). Over all as a whole through design the app has shown it's true nature as an innovation. I spent $1250 on my MPC and extended RAM and im actually happier with the iPhone version for 2.99 if you have ever dreamed of making music this is a great way to see if u have the will power and skills to succeed at a fraction of the cost. Fun but VERY buggySo many bugs and glitches, especially when switching between pages or menus. Still a fun app and enjoyable when it works. This app definitely deserves more love from the developers, but I doubt we will see any more updates for it. Too bad since it has great potential to be a good MPC on the iPhone. I'm glad i also have the IMPC Pro on my iPad which recently got updated and became lot more stable. Great app, just needs some updates!App continually crashed after trying to play a particular sequence which I had accidentally changed from 4 bars to 0, just thought I should mention that. Also, this app needs more FX, the delay and bitcrusher are great, but a reverb or an EQ would be sex! The compressor is always on for all tracks which doesn't always sound good, it's also missing some pretty standard controls (Ratio, attack, threshold, knee, etc.) As much as I hate to say it, this app could use a keyboard performance option. Great potential, but limited**Updating my review since the most recent app update. I lowered my rating to 2 stars. When are they going to listen to their customers!!! Still no interapp audio or Audiobus support. The exporting of beats still has dead space at the end of the beat making it loopable only if you trim it. This app is still no match for iMaschine....it could be...the iPad version is much better, but the iPhone version gets tossed...what a shame.** This app is a solid drum machine, second in sounds only to iMaschine. However, I wish iMPC worked better in the iPhone. They give the iPad version all these sweet updates and the iPhone version gets neglected. I contacted support for the app and they promise Audiobus and inter app audio is on the way, but time just ticks away...no cool update yet. All iMPC can do for the iPhone is work as a sketch pad...if you try to export a beat it does not export it as a loopable rhythm and if you export to AudioCopy the sound gets all distorted...they dropped the ball for iPhone use 😕🤔.Fretless33Version: 1.4.6

I love this app but...There seems to be a bug where the bpm are waaaaay offf. I have to use a metronome and compare the tempos in order to set it right because it can be up to 10bpm (give or take) off. I would use it for church rhythm loops, but the tempo issue is really wack. I don’t want to use iMPC Pro 2 because it can’t transition smoothly between sequences from different songs without having to exit out and load the next like an actual MPC1000, for example..IsraelARBVersion: 1.4.7

App not working right on iOS 12!Since updating to iOS 12 I haven't been able to use this app because every note is sustaied indefinitely. That means that every note recorded in "hold" mode acts as if I never release the pad. I have to tap it again to stop the note from holding. This momentarily retriggers the note, but cuts the sustain. It's virtually unusable like this for anything other than short little bursts of sound like snares and closed hats. Seems great butThe app seems great but a few bugs keep me from being able to use it at all. The menu from the right won't fully appear when I slide it out. Instead, there's just half the menu and a big white space. It seems like a small issue, but it stops me from using most of the real capabilities of the app because I can't use important menu buttons. Other than that, the clickable part of each pad seems off by a touch, I have to click in the space between them to use the left half, which interferes when trying to do live recording (very important to the app because there's no timeline or arrangement view). The app seems great, and earlier reviews make it look highly useable. If these bugs were to be fixed I'd anticipate my review to be a five, but I have to hold back right now because I can't actually record any beats. Nice App, Ruined By Lack of Audiobus!What the heck is wrong with Retronyms and Akai. Have they not seen videos of millions of musicians using Audiobus to allow various music apps to be used seamlessly together to create powerful music? Have they not realized that iMPC could exponentially more powerful (and popular) when combined with other apps. , especially the new ultra powerful synth. apps? I realize that they feel their Tabletop app. competes with Audiobus and they want it to be an all-in-one, self-contained app., but that is not a wise strategy. For one, the the standalone synth. and effects apps. are far superior to the ones in Tabletop, after all, they were developed by the likes of Korg, Waldorf, Propellerhead and Moog to name a few. Second, Tabletop itself would benefit from having Audiobus. It has neat features, is fun to use, but can't do everything. Audiobus integration would solve that. Finally, customers want to have a choice in how we create music. We don't want to be confined to the limitations imposed by a company's marketing strategy..CoolDerbVersion: 1.0

Needs a lot of work, it might even need a redesignAll the sampling, menus, and editing work nicely, although at times it will cut out all audio while cutting a sample (even on other apps, I either have to restart my phone, or do some stuff in settings). The app will also crash occasionally while editing samples, this just the starting problem. The annoying thing about the iMpc for iphone/ipod is that it REQUIRES every edit to a sound/sample to be renamed as a seperate sound itself, rather than be an edit to the sound on the board, the ipad version doesn't do this, and it's really frustrating. I also don't like how I can't delete saved sounds in my libraries, you really need to fix that, seriously. The exporting is atrocious, whenever I export a sequence via itunes file sharing, most of the time all the exported audio is extremely choppy. Exporting is even more annoying because of how god awful the sound quality is (again, it's choppy). Another reason why this app needs a redesign or an update, is because of the inability to edit the quantization of drums and sounds manually. Getting rid of the 3D performance and adding a timeline would make things much easier, the 3D performance does not work well, it just doesn't. I wish this app had compatibility with garage band. impc pro for ipad works great with garage band, and is really easy (and not incredibly buggy, the ipad version can be slow at times, but not buggy). point is, this app has really great potential, more potential than the ipad app that I keep referring to, because not only is the workspace easier on ipad, it's faster and efficient, and by making the workspace easier on iphone by fixing these problems will make me want to use this app more often while on the road, just in case i forget my ipad..Marzilla990Version: 1.4.5

Bizarre and unimaginative layout with key functions on separate screens brought on through a website style menu. There is no note repeat and swing available on the same screen for example. Would Not RecommendGreat idea, flawed execution. The app is buggy, unintuitive, and crashes! My biggest issue with it is that you CANNOT DELETE ANY SAMPLES!!! This app desperately needs a Song Mode!!! Also, if the programmer can make it easier for the edge of screen swiping for those with certain cases to access that function. With my current case I have little to know issues accessing notification and control centre, but cannot access the side screens within this app. PLEASE MAKE THE SWIPE AREA LARGER!!! I would also appreciate better and more sample chopping options, such as grid chopping. I'd also like to see a Timestretch feature added. As of right now functionality is very poor. Would like iMPC to be beyond MPC 60 status!
