To be a 5 star, this needs work.My first experience recording, I made several lengthy recordings. My phone auto-locked during recording, but when I unlocked the time indicated that it was continuing to record. (It was not). Upon playback, the length of the time only reflected the time it was not locked, during the locked time nothing was recorded. (Example, during record time I spoke for three minutes. It auto-locked after one, but when I unlocked it read three minutes and going on recording. But the playback file only had 1 minute of audio) This could have been disastrous if I was recording anything meaningful and didn't run tests first to make sure all my stuff was really recorded. It's a pretty big flaw, otherwise this program is a 5..ToxeyVersion: 1.1

Almost everything I need.Voicing things instead of writing things has become more important to me. I’ve felt the former to be more meaningful and effective. I would pay money for the options to record longer clips and be able to change speed settings when I replay clips. AI speech recognition is a great component and I give mad props to the creator for adding it as I wasn’t expecting an audio diary app to foresee my need for it. However, for some reason, it stops transcribing maybe 20-30 seconds before the 2 minutes are up. I am therefore missing about 20-30 seconds of transcription despite the audio recording upon playback being a full 2 minutes..Gooood1038Version: 1.5.2

Good, but features needs more work.The app itself is good. But in order for it to be great in my eyes, it needs more features than just tags. If you could write notes that would be awesome. Also, needs to be able to record while in the background. Anytime you leave the recording screen, to go to a different screen, the recording stops. I wish they did have a way to choose a better recording quality and a way to let you continue on recordings that you finished before and maybe a way to back up. Great appI like this app.I can see it Being useful for just a quick memo or a full on journal entry. I’ve never used a Voice Diary app before. I was waiting for them to charge me somewhere. Perfect for its purposeI HATE writing in a journal. I'm much better at speaking my thoughts rather than writing them down. Voice Diary makes it easier to keep my thoughts, memories, and ideas. One suggestionI think this is a great app. I use it all the time. It helps me immensely to separate my ideas and thoughts. I tag them accordingly so I can refer back to them about the literature I'm writing or music I'm making. Pretty good! Use this app all the timeI use this app probably a lot more then I should 😂 It’s very therapeutic being able to talk about anything that’s on my mind without worrying what people with think of me for it. I have an extremely hard time opening up to friends and family when things are wrong and this helps alleviate some of the stress that comes with that! It’s very simply designed and easy to understand how everything works. To start a new recording you just press a button and can talk for as long as you want, there isn’t any time limits. Once you’re done, you can add flairs to recordings so it’s easier to differentiate which recording is which. For instance, I have flairs for things like specific people, when I’m spiralling, and self reflection. If I talk about my wife, I add her flair so if later I want to listen back to all the recordings that were about her it’s easy to find them. I do wish that you could organise certain rants by the flairs you give them, similarly to how photos on phones are set up. How in your camera roll you have all your pictures lined up, but you can also add them to albums that separate them from other photo’s. Just a feature I wish was added, it would help everything feel a bit more neat and personalised. I also wish that you could delete a recording once you save it. I have a few recordings that I don’t want taking up space but I can’t get rid of them, or at least I can’t figure out how. If there is a feature that lets you delete saved recordings then I must be an idiot because I feel like I have checked everything 😅.LasandjamVersion: 1.6.0

Great with some updatesThis app could be really amazing. I've been searching for a voice journal app for a long time and this comes pretty close to ideal. That being said, it needs some small fixes to really shine. Deleting is not an option, which is a little bothersome when there's an accidental recording. It would be much easier to commit to with Dropbox sync, or at least some sharing/export option. There's a bug which drops recordings when it's interrupted. I got a phone call while recording and then lost the recording. And the colors of the blobs would be much nicer in a unified palette instead of an arbitrary repeating set. With more options and bug fixes, this could be a really stellar experience. I hope the developers pay attention. In that case, a solid five stars..TolabrennanVersion: 1.0.1

Almost perfectIt's a great app, but I wouldn't use it for anything important until there is a backup/sync option. As of right now, if you lose your phone, buy a new phone, or accidentally delete the app you will lose all your recordings.
