18Birdies: Golf GPS Tracker Positive Reviews

Great App, Needs Few ImprovementsIf you’re looking at this app versus other apps on the iPhone. Just go ahead and pick this one. You can track many of the different elements of your game and the map interface is exactly what you need. The thing that I wish it had was the ability to see par when reviewing your previous games. When you go back to a previous game and you look at an individual hole, you can’t see what par was for the hole you’re viewing. You can tap the score to view par, but then it deselects your previous score and if you weren’t paying attention, you’ll lose what you had marked there. A suggestion to the developers would be to add a lock feature to the scorecard so you can browse previous game scores without fear or changing them. Besides that little detail, this thing is great! Perhaps a calculation of the handicap for the individual courses would be helpful. Okay, I’m done. Great app. Enjoy and download this app!.Version: 14.6.0

All around solid, could use a couple tweaksUPDATE: new UI update is a straight downgrade in every way possible other than adding a shot tracking icon to the main face. Can’t see your +/- on the main face, they opted for a weather icon instead (hello I’m outside I can see what the weather is) and your current score is two swipes over, one through a premium only screen. Next it’s way more annoying to swap between holes in case you accidentally don’t click all the way through your score. The new score keeping system was probably made in a day, big text boxes instead of simple icons for things like fairway hit/miss. Tap through scoring until the last page where you have to scroll down, should be kept consistent either all scrolling are straight tapping through. Can be made way more streamlined too with icons instead of text boxes. New strokes screen is slightly better I guess. Par 3’s ask if I hit the fairway or not, that’s a straight regression. There is no fairway, it’s either a GIR or not. Going to throw off my driving stats because I can’t hit my irons, great Also, the biggest thing that told me whoever designed and approved this new UI doesn’t golf: the distances for front, middle, and back of the green. They have the front distance at the top of the screen and the back distance at the bottom. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s such an obvious oversight that it makes the entire UI feels rushed and messy. Every golf app I like nukes itself to the ground. First the Grint which had the perfect UI blew it all up and put it behind a paywall and now 18birdies. Guess it’s time to go to golfshot, sorry anyone who uses it, I’m sure they’re going to blow it up in a couples months too.Version: 14.14.0

It just lacks critical featuresI want to use this app, I really do… but 2 things bother me. Stats have absolutely no correlation to the scores on your hole. Yeah, maybe you should just enter the accurate stats, but what if I fat finger the wrong stat and don’t notice it? You literally can record a score of a 3 but say it took 4 putts, 3 chips, 3 penalties and 2 sand shots and it is completely fine with that… why? What is the explanation? The app also lacks automatic shot tracking for every shot using your Apple Watch. It will track your drive on every hole, but after that, you have to manually remember to press track shot which just interferes with your round. If you forgot to hit track shot, you just have to wing it and hope you got it right. At least if the app dropped bread crumbs and the GPS detected your moving around the course you could go back and guesstimate. Real, true swing detection and auto shot track should be a feature. It should also correlate or at least suggest your score based on the swing locations and you should not be able to enter more stroke stats than the actual stroke you took. I really wish they would fix these features because so many other small things about this app are great. Alas… I don’t think these fixes will ever happen..Version: 15.1.0

Great applicationI really like the concept of this app. I had to mark down the review because of a recent situation this app has put me in. My wife has been complaining of me “spending too much time golfing” and “not having my priorities straight” shortly after downloading 18 birdies. The application works pretty well but failed to warn me of a ground hog that I domed on the head and significantly deceased his life expectancy. The concept is pretty fun but when I lined up my shot on the app, I hit a tree when I went to take the shot and had me questioning the accuracy of the app but overall it’s pretty good because I can add friends that I wouldn’t have otherwise. The more I write the more I realize that this app has significantly made my life a lot more difficult. I realized that the more time I spend using the application, the less I’ve noticed significant family matters that have appeared recently. After the ultimatum from my wife saying “it’s golf or me” I decided that things might have been taken too far. I quickly told her that my handicap would decrease on 18 birdies if I tried to prioritize her more and she left me. Since then I have been able to focus more on my game and I am currently ranking much higher than before. Overall decent platform.Version: 14.35.1

An amazing free golf app, room for improvementLike many, I have a group of golf buddies I play with. Many started off with using other golf apps, but I convinced them all to switch to 18Birdies. Why? It has a friendly interface, its GPS tracking is ACCURATE (I double check it with a Golf Rangefinder and they both agree on the distance /- 3 yards), it has every golf course imaginable (even the random small municipal course in your town), and it's a great way to keep track of your progress through all of your rounds (tells you your up to date handicap!). My only complaint is that it always shows your score (how many above par) as you play. In order for me to give a full 5 star rating, 18Birdies needs a setting to turn this off. Golf is as much a mental game as it is a technical/physical game. If I can have a setting to turn off the real-time score keeping (like how it is when you have a handwritten score card), then 18Birdies will be the GOAT of golf apps. For now, it's amazing but room for improvement. I hope to see this change very soon for this season. PLEASE!.Version: 13.3.0

The social golf app experienceUsed this app as the free version for about a year. I upgraded to the pro when I started taking golf seriously this year. After trying multiple apps I have to say this is my favorite. Pros: - Updates real time yardage very well - Apple watch is an excellent feature - Playing with friends is by far the best things about this app - Tournaments with friends is an amazing feature - Adding the new 3D green reader id something I haven't quite gotten used to yet, but with a few sessions Im sure Ill get used to it! - The course layouts on the maps are spot on! - The pro features are great for golfers trying to see more data on the course * Theres so many features its hard to narrow down my favorites Cons: - At every round I play I always turn on the ‘battery saving’ feature because otherwise my phone wont make it through 18 holes. I see no difference in the real time updates aside from a couple of second latency delay, no big deal though. Features I’d Like to See: After each hole you can input stats for number of shots, shot stats and etc. I’d really like to be able to add notes to the end of that. At the moment theres a notepad for the round, but I hardly use it because it’s “out of the way”. Moving it to the hole-tracker stats would be a HUGE update!!.Version: 14.11.1

Golf bucks changeGreat app for use on every course I have played so far. GPS is usually very accurate and helps with club selection. One thing they changed though is how many golf bucks (currency used in app to enter contests) you get per round played. You use these golf bucks to get scratch cards for 5 per scratch. You used to get 40-50 per round depending on if you played with another 18Birdies user. And another 10 for sharing your round. Now you get five for finishing a round and one to share your round while the scratch cards are still five per ticket. There are options to share your shots or share your score per hole for five GB each but I don’t understand why that gives you more than playing a full round. I get the social aspect they are pushing but that is going the wrong way with it. I don’t understand that change and had to write a review since they respond to each one it seems like. Just looking for clarification on the golf bucks change. It used to be my favorite part of the app and kept me coming back to it but now with that change, golf bucks seem pointless now.Version: 7.5.0

Good but could be a whole lot betterThe major problem with the app is when using the Apple Watch. Yardages are not consistent. Example; I could be standing on a par 3 tee box and look for yardage say 140 yds. The next time I raise my wrist it displays 709 yds. And it doesn’t change til I move 10-20 yds away. These yardage discrepancies could happen anywhere and almost always every time that I use the watch a 2nd 3rd 4th time. As I stated this is only with the Apple Watch. When I use the phone yardage is always correct. This is quite annoying and does nothing to speed up play. I am currently in touch with someone from support and watch is configured as the app directs. I have deleted and reinstalled the app on both the watch and iPhone and has not improved and phone and watch os are up to date. The other thing is with support he claims that I am not responding to his emails, which I am, so there is delays in him responding to my questions. I don’t know whether there is a problem with your email system. I will follow up with another review when and If they can get it working..Version: 8.3.0

Watch and phoneI’ve used the app for years and been a premium member for the last 2 years. I’ve turned many of friends onto the app. Recently however my phone to watch hasn’t been working properly. I use both at the same time. I usually just use the watch for quick yardages and phone for club sugestions, distances to hazards, and keeping score for me and those playing with me. Problem has been when I enter the score on my phone it jumps to the next hole but my watch app doesn’t switch automatically with the phone. It used to but now I have to manually change the hole on my watch. I’ve emailed support but never got a response other then the auto response. It records the score on my watch that I enter on the phone but won’t change holes.Version: 15.5.1

A lot to like, couple suggestionsI used the app for one round, being a long time user of GolfShot GPS (15+ years) and really liked the experience. I liked the full-screen aerial look and the graphics looked great and were well sized and placed on the screen. What I really liked was how well a job it did to auto-track where I hit my shots from. It was easy to piece together after entering scores for the hole to adjust any mid-read locations. Where I docked a star for the app is for 2 reasons: 1: No linkage to GHIN for posting scores. I like how it is integrated perfectly in GolfShot GPS….I am not going to use a secondary means to enter scores to GHIN, so until 18 Birdie does provide that functionality , I’m out. 😕 2: I have hundreds of scores (and thus data) in GolfShot GPS. Without the ability to batch import those scores into 18 Birdies, I will be very reluctant to make the switch and lose all that history..Version: 16.8.0

I want to like 18BirdiesPlease stop getting worse. This app was fine not long ago…. Now you can’t add tracked shots retroactively after your round. Sure, you may not be tracking them “live”, but I can still remember more or less exactly where I was when I hit the shot and where it landed… and now I can’t add tracked shots after I finish a round. So stupid. Also, I play at country land golf course in cumming, Georgia… and the new gps picture you guys have allowed to load for our course is so profoundly inaccurate it makes my tracked shots look awful. I’ll hit a fantastic GIR in the center of the green and when I track it, it appears as if it’s off the back of the green 20 yards from its actual location. These things are making me seriously consider switching to the another app that I already have downloaded. Starting to wish I didn’t pay for the premium membership. Gonna make sure it doesn’t auto-renew.Version: 14.33.0

Great app but…I’ve been using 18 birdies when there wasn’t so many users where I would win lots of their prizes when they had the drawings, too bad they don’t offer that anymore, but anyways.. back to the app, I think it’s still a great app and I like how they are starting to incorporate games with other players in the group, but my one and only biggest issue is the fact that I can’t input other players score into the app on my APPLE WATCH for added convenience, because I’m sure y’all know how hectic it can get sometimes to pull out your phone.. “golf game book” does allow you to input others score through the Apple Watch.. I like keeping my rounds saved with 18 birdies, but it is also great to know where everyone’s at for the round at a glance.. if y’all could add that feature, that would be a great added feature for everyone...Version: 11.8.2

Golf schoolI downloaded the app for tracking distance and keep score but then I thought to myself to just buy the full version and boy am I glad I did. I’m not a good golfer, my shots are hit or miss. Sometimes I can drive 240 yards and then I’d be lucky to hit 80 and the more I try the worse it gets so… after buying the full version I tried the swing analyzer and all spots were red, nothing I was doing was ever right and the 240 yard balls I sometimes hit was pure luck of accidentally getting it right. I’ve been practicing to fix my posture and swing and what do you know I whacked my driver 270+- yards, I tried doing it again and hit it again and again. Not always 270 but consistent. That alone is worth $100 and the tracking distance and other stuff is a bonus..Version: 16.4.0

Good but needs workI have tested out several GPS apps. I like 18B because of the layout and user interface. It’s clean and provides the type of info and stat tracking I’m looking for. I’m not into the social aspect but if more of my friends had it, maybe I would be. I agree that the shot Tracking system currently in place is essentially unusable and complicated so I choose not to use that feature. I can’t speak about premium features as I only have free version now. One thing I would like to see added is a list of things like: yards to a dogleg; yards to layup, yards to bunker, yards to front, middle, back of green etc like other apps offer. Sometimes it’s just easier to quickly see the distances already calculated rather than zooming in with my finger to pinpoint the location. If this could be incorporated, it would improve on an already great foundation..Version: 7.6.3

Miss having Apple Watch app. Won’t sync.I have tried all suggestions including logging out of iPhone app, rebooting both iPhone and Apple Watch. Lots of frustration when I used to have no issue in starting my round. Watch app is great when it syncs with iPhone app. Just hasn’t been useful in for a few weeks. The developer responded letting me know that they were aware of the issue and had an update for the app and the watch app that should resolve the issue. After updating the apps on my iphone and watch, I was able to play a round of golf today using the watch and iPhone - it was great having it back - I will update my review again if anything changes. Thanks to the developers for resolving this issue and making the apps useful again..Version: 12.6.3

Was great but smart tracking needs workI really have enjoyed using this app and been manually tracking all of my rounds. However I played my first with smart tracking today land it wasn’t great. I use to mindlessly hit all of my shots and just track with the app. I now find with smart tracking and me now having to manually account and enter my score that the shot elections it chooses or not after at all, and even worse I can’t edit them after the hole. I find that this is turned shot tracking completely useless because now my shots are not accurate to what I actually hit. I am highly disappointed in this update and hope that they will bring back at least the option for manual tracking..Version: 16.1.0

Great app, One suggestionThis is a fantastic app and has gotten much better with the new autostat feature. One problem I have with it that most players probably don’t realize. TLDR; Make it possible to get back into a round and use the GPS if you accidentally finish the round. Make it easier to change round settings. My local course doesn’t have tee times. As a member, I don’t even have to tell them I’m playing a round, I just hit the range and then go to the tee box. I can also just start on the 10th. So I often don’t even know if I plan on playing 9 or 18. Here’s the problem: If I choose 18 and then later decide I only want to play 9, the app is finicky about changing that. Especially if I started on the 10th hole. So, I started choosing 9 holes at the beginning of every round, since it’s easier to change from 9 to 18, rather than 18 to 9. But now when I finish the 9th, I accidentally click “finish round” and then there is no way to get back into the round. Even if I don’t fully submit the round, I can’t get back and use the gps. I can change it to 18 and then manually type in my scores, but still can’t use the gps. This is my biggest problem..Version: 15.18.4

Amazing appThis app is fantastic. I tried a bunch of apps that have similar features and this one was by far the cleanest, most updated, and well laid out app. It also has the most features in front of the paywall that I’ve found, but Premium gives you awesome additional features. The GPS is super useful, entering stats is super simple and doesn’t take you out of the game. You can keep as thorough stats as you want. I like that I can add my exact clubs. They even had my ‘94 Big Bertha irons. They didn’t have one of my more obscure old clubs, and I emailed them asking if there was a reason, and they replied that I should refresh because they added them. Can’t beat that customer service. This feels like it was made by people who really enjoy golf, and less of a “company” if that makes sense. The social aspect is a fun way to keep in touch with friends and see their progress and easily add them to a score card. Love the app! Features I would love: • Automatic handicap calculator (I know this is being worked on to meet the new calculation methods) • Green slope maps (even if its Premium only) • Add a ball path tracer AI (maybe as part of the existing AI. Would be fun to share in the social area, and also see your ball flight.Version: 10.3.0

TerribleScam Billing Practices - while holding a premium account the app continued to serve me renewal request ads while my current paid subscription was good for another 4 months. So what of course happens one day while setting it up to play I tap the wrong button as they make the “x” tough to see especially in the sunlight and thus with one click. They literally signed me up for another subscription and charged me $106 and refused to refund me. So one subscription is set to expire June 20, 2025 and the other March 14th, 2026. Per the Apple Store it’s in their terms and agreement. In absolute scam. I’m currently disputing with my bank having to go through the fraud department for resolution. I prefer “The Grint” you don’t come across great product and less bugs..Version: 15.25.0

Honest opinionAbsolutely love this app. Have been a user for 3 years and a paid subscriber for the last 2/2.5. I actually stopped using my range finder and locking on the pin. Exclusively use the app for distances to front, middle and back of greens. Have seen my scores drop by 2-4 strokes around once I quit pin hunting. The only thing I would change is the green feature when using the watch. I wear my watch on my right hand and I’m sure it is the same for the left. It would be nice and helpful if I could rotate the green on the watch to the correct orientation depending on where I am in the green in relation to the hole. It would benefit both right hand and left hand users of the watch. It would make it easier to read the break of the green if it was orientated to where a person is on the green rather than turning your wrist to get a clearer picture of the slope and break. Like I said. Wonderful product and will continue using. Not really a complaint just maybe an idea to make it a little better. One other change I’d like to see. I would love for the scores to automatically link to the GHIN app so we don’t have to go enter our scores on the app itself. Thank you for your attention to this matter!.Version: 16.23.0

Great interface, so so Apple Watch experienceI’m really close to putting my money where my mouth is for this app but there is one glaring issue preventing me from doing so. Distances on my Apple Watch Series 3 GPS+Cellular are rarely if ever coming from the watch GPS. When I am riding I don’t want my phone in my pocket, so I have to be cognizant of where I park the cart so I get a good idea of the distance. Sometimes when I am walking to my ball from the cart, the distances are from my watch but that might be 2 holes a round. I did see a note from the dev about disabling Bluetooth on the watch temporarily but that seems to be a bit of a silly work around. Maybe Apple doesn’t provide an API to ensure the distances are coming from the watch but as soon as this part of the app is reliable, I will pay because everything else about this app is worth it..Version: 11.5.1

Great app but….This app is so close to being the best golf companion you can have. Easy to use but it seems over the last year or so the developers stopped improving the app. So many of the features are just so dead like booking tee times, betting, group play, etc. Little customization things like not having a dark mode or not allowing you to link your logical USGA Handicap is also holding this app back. Interface feels very 2020, and it needs a refresh with focus on getting the full potential out of the app. I’ll use it over The Grint and other similar apps during my rounds, but will keep going to the others to enter my score officially. This app could be amazing, but just needs a little more focus. LETS GO DEVELOPERS..Version: 14.3.0

Has everything just needs a few thingsI’m going to start this off by saying this is the best overall golf gps app period. I use this religiously to keep all my stats and keep track of all my buddies rounds now that we’ve moved away from each other. It’s really cool to get the live updates from my friends rounds and see how they are playing! No other app does it like this! I just have a few suggestions that would make this the perfect golf app. #1 I would love a more animated style to the courses, think garmin or GolfLogix. I have issues with some courses using the satellite photos are basically unusable by not being able to see what’s going on and I think using a more animated style would help at a glance see what’s going on clearer. #2 I think like a flyover view would be amazing. Being able to have a track man like trace as a ball flight down the fairway and onto green would help so much with visualizing a shot. Overall this is the best app period. If you are serious about playing the best golf you can and wanting more insight into how you are playing I don’t think anything else comes close and gives you the social features as well. Good work to the devs on this!.Version: 15.32.1

It’s good.... update okayThe last major update really made me stop using the app. They are correcting some things. But the one thing they have not corrected yet is scoring simplified. It use to be you enter your score and other players scores popped up immediately to finish your card. Now you have to close yours, swipe up, find the player, find the icon, and then put their score in for each person. All this in the sun clearing screen on a golf course where electronics really should be in the background, not dealing with it all the way to the next hole. To be honest I haven’t used the app since the first tome I tried it on the course and couldn’t stand how long it took to enter in everyone’s score. I try it again every update to see if it’s fixed at home. But it’s still not and that is disappointing. So many good things, but this problem really overshadows them for me..Version: 8.1.1

Won’t sync to Apple WatchI’ve been using this app for a couple years now and loved it. However as of about a week or so ago the app wit not sync to my Apple Watch. I don’t know if this is a problem with Apple or the app but it is very frustrating that I can’t get it on my watch anymore! And with it not syncing to my watch it drains my battery on my phone very quickly! If it’s a problem with the app I hope they get it fixed quickly if not we’ll see what Apple does! Update to my review, it was not a problem with the app but a problem with my watch. I got in touch with Apple and we got my problem resolved so since the problem has been rectified I will update my rating to five stars.Version: 13.3.0

Stunning interface, abysmal Apple Watch experienceSo sad. The app is stunning on the phone. All of the premium features are worth the 99$... but I am obsessed with only using the Apple Watch on the course, and it was a disaster. 2 mains problems. 1. The yardages, omg... the phone is always 3 feet max from the watch. And every other app I’ve test driven on this course had no problem with the yardages. But this one is a nightmare. 130 yard par 3, says 366. I have to pull the phone out of the bag, unlock it, and then MAYBE the yardage matches the phone. Unplayable, unusable. 2. After you record your score and move to record putts, it starts you at the bottom of that page, and you have scroll up to record putts, and then scroll back down to move to next hole... this seems like a temporary bug, or their UX designer is on vacation. Devs, product managers, what would make this app perfect for the Watch. The UI is stunning, UX has some very simple adjustments. This is very easy. Just go play a round with it lol. Please, add layup yardages.. to start, how about just distance to a 100, 125, 150 lay up? Distance to hazards and over hazards would be amazing. Golf Logic does it.. but that’s a big project. I’ll be checking back, this is the best app for the phone.. more or less, but Watch is far far behind. Good luck..Version: 10.1.2

Score not being enteredHi guys!! First off I want to say I love the app and it’s my main source for keeping my score out on the track. And a doubles as a social media account, but lately I’ve been having issues with entering my score I’m able to input it for each hole throughout my round but at the end of my round I can’t save my round. Please let me know if it’s an issue that is being worked on, or just me? Also just a suggestion but I hope you guys put it in the update, but can you please put a hcp calculator that does all the math for you lol. I’ve played a lot of roads and I would just like to take the doing the math every couple of months to figure out my hcp out of the equation. Lol see what I did their.Version: 10.3.0

Ok Love this app nowOk, at the beginning I did not like this app. Now I realize it was because I did not understand the full capabilities of this app. I initially thought it just provided the overview of the course. It is so much more. This app is for serious golfers who want to track their stats and analyze their swing. I started doing both and am now addicted to the app. It has provided many insights on the parts of my game to improve. It also provides simple drills (in video form) to help correct even the subtle quirks the cause a loss in power, distance and accuracy. The premium version is worth the $100 yearly rate. I will renew when the subscription runs out. Most unfortunate that I only realized the full capabilities after few months; but glad I did..Version: 11.1.2

Great features and easy to use!I have been using 18Birdies for a while now and absolutely love it. The app is intuitive to use and I have tried a few other apps and this is amongst the best. Off late I see that it is able to even track my walking and track my shots even if I don’t manually do it, like my drives or my second shot… which I try to keep track, but sometimes forget or get lazy. I see a white dotted line along my walking path and I can add shots after the round. It allows me to keep track of my fairway hits, chips, putts, penalty, green-side sand shots. I use the free version, I do see the prompt to get the paid features, but no biggy…I just decline. I love it!.Version: 15.37.0

App Heading in the Wrong DirectionI have been using this app for about a year and used a premium membership for a few months as well. As far as golf scoring apps go, this is one of the best. However, one of the main things that differentiated this app from others was the DreamGames features. DreamGames allows you to spend GolfBucks (earned by playing rounds and sharing items in the news feed) for entries in prize drawings. I have won a towel, a hat, a box of golf balls, and even a $150 gift card. This is what kept me coming back to the app each day. Unfortunately, they recently made a change to the way golf bucks are earned by significantly reducing the payouts for various activities. For example, sharing a golf round used to pay a total of 50 golf bucks and now it only pays 5. I expect the reason they did this is because people exploited the previous system to accrue thousands of golf bucks. I feel like the developers are really missing the point on this one, as there are many users like myself that will stop using this app if things continue down this road. The scoring features are good, but they really aren’t better than the other apps out there. If 18Birdies can’t get control of Golf Bucks distribution they will lose much of their user base.Version: 7.5.0

Cool app for any Player trying to improve their golf gameThis app is or pretty cool and very useful. It can replace taking notes on a scorecard as well as track important stats like fairways hit(even has option to Indicate direction ball was off the Fairway), greens hit, number of chip shots, and most important for myself personally is number of putts per hole. I knew that I needed to work on my putting but I had no idea how many strokes per round it was costing me. At least 17 per round, birdies putted into double bogeys, it’s very frustrating but gives you an idea of where you want to get some practice in. Overall cool app, download if you are serious about your game and enjoy using technology to learn how you can improve your scores..Version: 7.4.1

Apple Watch Update for 18Birdies subscriptionI love 18Birdies the app for scoring and keeping track of all of my rounds. One of my golf buddies and I wanted to take advantage of the premium subscription, which give you more data, reads and club selection. It has been a useless function on the phone, to have to constantly keep your phone on you throughout the round, might as well have a rangefinder. After almost a year of having the subscription 18Birdies updated the apple watch functions that now allows you to have all those capabilities. I feel much better about this, however feel like I lost my whole year of subscription without the features that make the subscription worthwhile..Version: 15.16.0

Apple Watch health NEEDS improvingApp itself is great but if you’re going to push using Apple Watch then you need to be on par with other apps. The basic thing that should be working is workout tracking. There should be no reason why this app can’t also track and log the golf round as a golf workout. Golfshot can do it so it’s definitely possible. Not sure why this is missing. As far as the app, only issue I faced is finishing a round. Wouldn’t finish because I missed a chip log. I had to go through all my shots and finally see that the math didn’t add up on one. I fixed that and it let me finish the round. Would be nice to have an indicator where there is something not adding up when I try to finish a round so I can quickly go back to the hole and fix the error.Version: 14.36.1

Expensive but worth itAlthough there are many features you can use for free, the premium version of the app is where it truly shines. If you take the time (which admittedly can be a hassle while playing a round of golf) you can really track some interesting stats about your golf game. I also find that the yardages are quite accurate in my experience which can help any golfer not able to spend the money for a quality range finder. Overall very solid app, if the premium was a little cheaper that would make it much more accessible for beginner golfers or golfers that don’t have a ton of money to spend for the premium features..Version: 13.3.0

First experienceSo I reviewed 4 other similar apps and was interested in the one that would best work on an Apple Watch. My intent was to start the round on my phone and let it work on the Apple Watch from start to finish. After watching user video and signing up for the premium service I’m an disappointed to report it did not work as advertised. I downloaded the app, confirmed it was available on my Apple Watch and even tried a dry run before my round. Then when I started my round to learn that there was zero gps updates during my round on my Apple Watch or on my phone. The only thing that worked was that the app recognized the course I played but never the yards to the green. VERY DISAPPOINTED..Version: 7.4.1

Change is goodHi, For now I can only think of is the visual of your screen ,I think it should be a virtual look,,, as soon as you look at your screens, I think you should easily understand what is going on !!!!!!maybe the size of letters or components for easy seeing!!!!! Also maybe colors to show different items on the screen.. some colors are noticeable more than others ,,, maybe have important things seen a certain color and less important thing’s another color!!!!for noticeability,,, Hi ,,to whom it may concern ,if this helps or you use it in any way ,can you reach out to me for possible compensation,, or proper credit , for my idea,..Version: 14.7.3

HandicapI love this app so far with using it. I spent all of last year trying to track everything among appx 3-4 different apps to see which I liked more. I think I may have settled on 18 birdies. The only thing so far I wish was different is that I'm the handicap and you only play a 9 hole round that they would, like some other apps, not just double a 9 hole score but that they would add two different 9 hole rounds together. That way different 9 hole rounds at different courses would have a different slope etc and in my head I guess, it would reflect a slightly different handicap. I don't build apps or anything but I imagine if others can do it that it might not be too difficult to add for them in an update.?.Version: 13.18.0

Good GoodI love this app so much. I got told to use the grint app but that app gives you an estimated handicap and doesn’t work without Wi-Fi. 18 birdies does work without Wi-Fi and gives you a accurate handicap. I will use the app forever, and I recommend it to those who want a good golf app. It also displays the data well of missed putts etc. It needs to be published that it works without Wi-Fi. For me I like an app that doesn’t use Wi-Fi because it is just more efficient. I am pretty sure it only works without Wi-Fi if you are using the gps and score card. I might be wrong but that is what I think. I know you can use the scorecard and gps though without Wi-Fi..Version: 15.8.0

Good App but Apple Watch needs Phone nearby.I use the paid version of the app. I’m happy with it, but one thing they’re lacking is the ability to use the GPS chip in the Apple Watch for your distances. Instead they rely on the GPS chip in the phone which means your phone needs to be with you during your shot for the most accurate distance. I much rather keep my phone in the Golf Cart charging and playing music than in my back pocket while I’m making shots. Many of the other apps now provide the ability to do this and have settings within the app to turn it on. The absence of this feature unfortunately has me looking at some of these other apps. I might be switching very soon..Version: 13.8.2

Awesome AppI have been golfing pretty much my whole life. This last year, I have truly been playing though every week. I downloaded the app and have the Premium Version and I love how it tracks my shots so I don’t need to keep count when I start getting into my double bogeys!😂 I highly recommend it for anyone who is new and needs some tips. Or for people who are just trying to improve there game. Also the AI Swing Analyzer/School section has truly helped improve my game! Thank you 18 Birdies! I have checked out other apps also have this similar kind of deal. 18 Birdies 100% is the top of the totem pole on Apps for Golf without a doubt!.Version: 16.27.0

They wrecked shot tracking this weekUsed to love this app and rely on it - tracking shots on my watch easily. Suddenly a week ago, the button to track a shot is gone, and it’s replaced by a hard sell to buy the pay version. Can still track a shot but it’s klutzy and I can’t both track a shot and see the distance to the hole. I’d almost pay for it, but this developer can’t be trusted not to just wreck it again in the future next time they want to force feed you another paid feature. I’m looking for something else - maybe it’s just back to sprinkler markings, a range finder, and a pencil..Version: 15.35.1

Great app! Feature request:Love tracking my stats, helps me figure out where I need to focus my practice and improve. Like others have said, it’s like having your own caddie with birds-eye GPS helping immensely with shot planning. Can you MAKE all of my friends join? Lol Feature request: when viewing certain stats under “Me”, I would love if I could tap directly on date/round-specific areas of the stat readout and jump directly to that round to see the scorecard and the rest of the stats for that round. As it is right now if I’m looking at say, history of Putts per Hole under stats, under “Me”, and I want to look at the round I played on 5/13, I have to back out and navigate to my round history, remembering the date, and find that entry in round history. Additional feedback: it would be nice to be able to cancel a sent friend request, and/or un-friend someone. Sometimes we fat-finger it and didn’t mean to send a request to a stranger and currently the only solutions are to block them (which seems drastic), or to say “oh well, guess I’m friends with this stranger forever now”..Version: 13.6.3

Great app, but annoying to make pre-game plansLove this app a ton, and especially their connection with Me and My Golf. My only complaint at this time is that if you want to pre-plan your strategy before you get to a course, it shows the distances from the furthest back tees even if you select any of the shorter tee boxes. It’s annoying to have to manually move up each starting point before making an accurate game plan. On the course it recognizes where you are no problem, it would just be nice to have an easily made plan in mind before I head to the first tee box..Version: 7.3.0

Set upSuper easy to set up rounds, add friends, and play games!.Version: 16.31.0

New update is badGreat app but the most recent update is absolutely horrible. Makes it nearly impossible to switch to the next hole. Please fix this there was nothing wrong with the last version new version makes me want to switch to a different app..Version: 14.15.1

Usually 4 stars but unusable for the watchUsually this app is a 4 star. Decently accurate with yardage, consistent in all other areas. However, for some reason it will not load the yardage on my Apple Watch. It just sits blank. Not just on mine. There are a few others I know who are experiencing the same issue. Please help?.Version: 14.7.0

Way too many pop-upsI hardly use any of the features of this app because the pop-ups keep stealing the focus. One, two, ok, 3, 4, 5? What are they thinking?.Version: 13.6.0

Love itAwesome app. Connecting with friends is a bonus..Version: 16.29.1

Decent appHandy for distances and tracking scores and handicap and trends.Version: 16.26.1

Great app! User friendly!Highly recommend!.Version: 16.25.4

It’s works! It works for me and I enjoy using it ..Version: 16.26.1

Very goodVery good app, good gos for Apple Watch, and the learning section is good as well. Please Remove the “poor network error messages” on Watch. When playing a round here or there as soon as the network level drops you get a message, you will find yourself pressing “ok” often even though it’s working fine. Prevents a 5 star review..Version: 16.25.4

Shot tracking and green maps are awesomeI tried Hole 19 last year and the extra money for the subscription on this one is worth the upgrade. Having the shot tracking and green contour maps adds a ton of value..Version: 16.25.2

Awesome!Love this app! Very good tracking, very good distances. Easy to use!.Version: 16.25.2

Very user-friendlyBest golf app on your Watch that records detailed metrics without a subscription. the Grint’s free version only displays distances on your watch and requires your phone to enter stats. Also love the constant updates for improvements.Version: 16.22.4

Works great, could be betterI really like the app but wish there were less clicks, the Grint has better interface but this is where all my friends are..Version: 16.25.0

Free trial or buyI like it but you need a free trial for things 👎🏻 but overall it’s good.Version: 16.24.2

Great AppGreat app, tracks everything, yardages are right on and you can plan your layup to hazards etc..Version: 16.9.1

No web infoGood capability and ease of use with Apple Watch. But no web based tool is a real negative. As is poor positioning and edit ability of shots onto green in smart tracking..Version: 16.10.1

Better Than Grint So FarHad to get rid of The Grint - buggy, inaccurate - and so far, this app for use with my Apple Watch is much better. Constantly on point accuracy, easy to move between holes, if you’re choosing between Grint and this one, choose 18 Birdies..Version: 16.6.0

Love it!Great app will recommend to everyone☺️.Version: 16.3.3

Great as a beginner!Really enjoying the app, i’m 2 years into my golf journey and it has helped alot! Dont have the money or the skill to justify buying a range finder, and it makes it much easier to keep track of scores. 10/10.Version: 16.3.0

Great jobI like the app and am happy with it and like it and thanks for making it and I use it lots and it helps lots and when I golf lots I use it all the times that I can and have freinds on it and tracked my litres on it and am happy with my progress and success throughout my years of playing golf in my career and life but mainly only this year and last year becuase that is when I discovered it and when I started using it.Version: 16.1.0

Lost Shot Tracking on Apple WatchI loved this app until the most recent update. They added the map icon where the shot tracking used to be and as a result I can no longer use this app for shot tracking on my watch. Unless they fix it, will need to switch to Arccos!.Version: 15.35.1

18 bordesThis is a good app that help me find my yards.Version: 15.35.1
