HelloIt’s really good driving and earning with bolt but in a country like Ghana with bad roads considering the type of cars used or involved with bolt, I don’t think the commission is favorable at all. Cost of maintenance here is also another problem. What hurts the most driving a distance of about 8km only for the rider to cancel because they feel you’ve kept long or otherwise. Bolt doesn’t compensate drivers with anything. Sometimes you do the math of the commission, calculate the distance and then compare fuel prices and then time, you find out you’re doing nothing and earning nothing. Most drivers here are paying for the car they using , others too have to pay their owners every single day. It’s not favoring us at all. It’s like living hand to mouth kind of . It’s not a good thing to talk of at all...
I’m pleading that you review this and make sure we also have enough to live on cos the app doesn’t go off after 12:00am indicating to customers it’s more or less a 24/7 hr service. It’s a risk on most of us our lives here in Ghana as some have been reported killed, others beaten , cars hijacked etc. There’s nothing like risk insurance for drivers and it’s a sad thing cos you have to survive. I get a long pick up or rides from areas where there no route(but your map radius is circular) and then I ask the rider to rebook. My driver score will reduce
Rider is in a hurry and cancel ride cos of the time..my driver score is reduced
I get to the pick up location, rider has luggage which I cannot carry, if i cancel or the rider cancel my score will reduce
The rider request a ride to place thats not safe or there is traffic, either ways my score will reduce.

Hello team boltBolt has been really good when it comes to earnings I have enjoyed most of bolt policies but it’s saddens my heart to know bolt is soo inconsistent of their bonus programs they run you just don’t know what to expect and it’s like they do what ever they like at any time and also the assurance of being protected by some policies that are effective enough is not seen with their insurance cover , if they even do for us the drivers is another thing for us to think about. And recently bolt hit us all with a Big Bang slap on the face with a 25% commission like we haven’t seen enough yet most drivers like my self pays for the car every week on sales basics whiles bolt know that high cost of fuel lately and not to talk about our bad roads which most clients are being dropped at sometimes after a trip all you hear beneath the car is only noises . If u don’t do something to fix all the drivers wishes a day will come when bolt will no longer be in the market and you know what drivers will always move to the better platform and still make their leaving. Other driving apps are coming up and I see people had started trying them their commission is as low as 114naira per trip of N1500 u take so if you don’t fix this ur driver request

2.blocking drivers when their score drops to 74%

Basically these are not too big for bolt to work on but as a brother did say it’s ur own way of modern slavery

Modern day slaveryTill date two customers got free rides from me amounting to 8,000 which I reported to the customer care. To my surprise instead of getting a refund with compensation I was blocked under the guise of low rating. Rating that I found out was affected by those same customers who fled with my money. Unfair and Concern About Driver SupportI am writing to formally express my concern regarding the recent suspension of my driver account.
While I was online and active on the app, I received a ride request which I accepted immediately. After accepting the request, I contacted the customer through the app to confirm the exact pickup location. During our conversation, I informed her that it would take approximately 20 minutes for me to reach her. The customer then stated that she was in a hurry and could not wait that long. She apologized and chose to cancel the ride herself in order to look for a driver closer to her location.
I respected her decision and did not cancel the trip from my end. However, immediately after the customer canceled, my account was suspended. When I contacted support, I was informed that I accepted a trip I would not complete. This is confusing and unfair, as I had every intention of completing the ride. The cancellation was entirely initiated by the customer due to distance and time concerns.
As a driver, I believe situations like this are sometimes unavoidable. It is not within my control if a passenger decides to cancel. Suspending my account without properly reviewing the circumstances feels discouraging and unsupported.
I kindly request a thorough review of this case and a fair resolution. Drivers are essential partners to the platform, and we deserve understanding and proper investigation before disciplinary actions are taken..Clausen LucasVersion: 129.0
Needs consistency and common senseI have been waiting for two years to see certain things improve , and to be able to rate this application 5 stars but I cannot. Someone thinks that money prevail common sense . Ex: when I want to finish working and I am in the middle of a ride I set the stop taking orders , and I would expect when I finish that ride the application to log me off , that doesn’t happen as too many times while I am trying to log off I am given another ride , i am simply not fast enough to log off … I have two options .. to reject the ride and be penalized or take the ride and hope I can log off after the next ride . Why should I be penalized if I did everything I should have done to finish working. I consider this a greedy and idiotic mindset from the one that made this decision.
Another “ smart “ call is to penalize me for clients canceling their ride for whatever reason. Since the introduction of this feature all the points I have lost at my driver score were for clients canceling …. When the trafic is heavy and I stil have an ongoing ride and I am being given the next ride I have to take it or I am being penalized … obviously when the next client sees how long he has to wait for me to get there , will cancel as they may not have the time to wait … Again , why do I have to be penalized for this ? What have I done wrong ? Which person with a whole mindset would consider this right or fair ?
When will Bolt stop looking to penalize drivers for actions that don’t belong to them ?
In most places of work one will get penalized for his mistakes or errors, at Bolt drivers get penalized for someone else’s mistakes or decisions….

Very inconsiderate driversThis app is designed to favour the app owners and not the users (drivers), especially with the recent introduction of “driver score”.
It automatically blocks drivers account when a few records of uncompleted rides occur, not putting into consideration many reasons beyond the driver’s control that may occur (passengers requesting for rides and not showing up, forcing the driver to cancel, passengers simply requests and cancels rides themselves for many reasons e.g searching for a better car). And sometimes, it’s drivers would cancel when a passenger is going to an unsafe area or when they sense that the passenger(s) could be of threat.

Destination Change & Fare issuesI’ve been using Bolt for quite sometime now, at certain time an update was introduced which it has remove changing destination on driver app and after completing trip you cannot ask for fare review nor complaints about the fare. DriverI worked with Bolt for 6 months as a driver. I think this is the most ridiculous application available to drivers. It does not give the driver the slightest right and treats the driver like a slave. If you are delayed for 20 minutes for the passenger and the passenger does not show up, he will not pay you any amount. If the passenger does not pay, not even 1 cent of the plan will compensate. If the passenger steals from you, the program still does not give any warning to the passenger. You need to upgrade trip price in NigeriaBolt needs to change price for a trip because there won't be any profit left after buying fuel and paying bolt commission it's just like I been wasting my time since I sign up as bolt driver. Payment of commission does not reflet instant like Yango which looks bad on the part of bolt..
Lower fares to drivers whiles bolt company make huge commission not taking into account the fuel drivers have to buy into their cars and lots of bad road in Ghana making drivers and car owners get problem hence such bad fares by bolt does not help drivers.

Bolt is wicked to Nigeria port harcourt driversBolt has continued to treat its drivers in Nigeria unfairly. The company charges an excessive commission of up to 30% on vehicles it does not own, without considering the challenges drivers face in maintaining their cars.
The cost of vehicle maintenance and spare parts in Nigeria has skyrocketed, yet Bolt keeps reducing fares to favor riders, completely disregarding the welfare of drivers. The fares are now so poor that many drivers can barely sustain themselves.
To make matters worse, drivers are sometimes forced to accept trips, and refusal often results in being blocked from the platform. It has turned into a “do-or-die” situation for many, as Bolt continues to impose harsh conditions instead of providing support.
We demand that Bolt reduces its commission to at least 10% and adjusts fares to reflect the current economic realities in Nigeria. Until these issues are addressed, we call for the removal of the Bolt app from Nigeria.

Inconsiderate in driver’s welfare and High commission charges.Over the years bolt have been rendering a quality service to both drivers and passengers but all of a sudden it was discovered the welfare of drivers are not being considered and high commission charged on drivers. Safety issueBolt is not helping drivers at all. Everyone in Ghana is aware about the criminal activities that occur usually at night. Some of this criminals have seen the bolt app as a platform they can exploit. I've been robbed before by a rider which when I reported to bolt, they didn't give me any positive feedback which meant if I was killed they will not show any concern. Your new update is frustratingWhy reduce a driver score or rating when a client cancels rides that’s too bad and…what if while going to pick up the client you encounter traffic ? And the client cancels how’s that the drivers fault ?
