ShortlistThere aren’t many apps I recommend & both the book & music apps make that shortlist. I find myself here for the review after seeking the link to send to a music loving friend. They’re keepers - not destined for deletion anytime soon! I suppose I should mention I appreciate how it lets me catalog physical books, Apple & Kindle ebooks, and audiobooks in one place in a way I know where they reside in a glance. Moreover, it provides for a wishlist, loan list, & previously owned. I’m sure I’m omitting other useful features as I’m writing what comes to mind. I suppose it would be nice to have the apps BEFORE amassing an unwieldy media collection. That said, the apps make adding titles about as easy can be imagined… unless it might be possible to lay a half dozen books out barcode side up & find multiple titles at once… My final word? WonderfulI have been waiting for an app like this for decades. Literally. An amazing database that actually works. Very stable. Allows you to import and export. Recognizes an incredible amount of music and artists. It's easily customizable to fit your specific needs in the data you want to know and access. Bravo. The one thing they could do to break it would be to move the databases online and charge a monthly fee. But that would make them into just another crappy scam app. So, please don't. It will ruin everything. I like my information kept local where I can control it. As tempting as it might be, it's a terrible way to do business. Great tool to keep track of physical musicI use this tool ALL the time. There are many features that I am still discovering. Reasons to get this app: 1) Support is EXCELLENT !! I had a question last night, and i got a clear (and helpful) response this morning. 2) Searching by song. When you load a CD or vinyl into your MusicBuddy library, most of them include a track list. You can search your library by a specific song name. So (for example) you can easily find all versions of “Limehouse Blues”. 3) Searching by artist. If you have a compilation album (e.g.”Various Artists”), and the track list contains the artist name along with the song (most do), then you can find all songs by an artist, even if it’s on a compilation. 4) You have immense flexibility with your loaded entries. If you can’t find the record online (a rare event), you can add it. You can add or edit tracks. If the online entry doesn’t have the cover, you can add a picture. 5) Simple backup procedures, which also allow you to view your catalog with a desktop computer. Not just for vinyl collectorsI have been on a kick of listening to the debut albums of many artists, both that I like and of just well known artists I have never listened to beyond their singles. This app allows you to search online and find the album, then you can’t add custom tags to mark them in different ways. I have debut, 2nd album, 3rd, etc., how I own it (CD, Vinyl, Digital), or if it’s one I listened to on a streaming playlist, which is the majority, I have a tag for that as well. Sync leaves a lot to be desired.I do not trust the sync feature. When syncing between Ipad and IPhone I get duplicate entries and entries that I had previously deleted or entries I had editied with the old edits still in place which completely makes syncing unusable for me. I recently purchased a new IPad. I backed up the files on my old IPad and transferred them. All the files from this app did not transfer to my new IPad. I am glad I kept my old IPad because now I have to manually transfer the missing information. Other than that I enjoy this app very much..Pu-yiVersion: 9.0.2

Wonderful app for cataloging music collectionsMusic Buddy is a remarkable app for cataloging and browsing my extensive music collection, which include cds, cassettes, LPs and mp3s. The interface, while fairly utilitarian, is easy to use and offers a wide range of information to be stored for any given record. My one suggestion to the developers would be to have it so that artist names were automatically alphabetized by last name. I have to go in and replace “Bob Dylan” with “Dylan, Bob” to show correctly in the list. Overall, this is a wonderful app and I will be using it for many years to come..CablelineVersion: 8.9.4

Ok. More like a 99cent AppThe app is ok. I’ve only loaded 75 or so CDs into the app and have noticed the following: “The” counts as a word when alphabetizing, other apps ignore articles in titles for alphabetizing; I’ve been able to “stump” the app quite a few times with CDs that aren’t found in whatever databases it is utilizing. I’ve had to manually add quite a few of the 75 titles. It makes me hesitant to start on the remaining 3000..The DdddavidVersion: 8.14.0

Truly amazingUpdate: i told my dad who got me into vinyl about the app and he was so sad it’s not available on android, please try and work on that because there is definitely a few people i know who’d be interested!! i downloaded this app after almost having a brain aneurysm in the middle of a walmart trying to remember if i already owned a copy of certain vinyl, the store wasn’t exactly close to home so i was worried i wouldn’t be able to get it again. it was becoming all to stressful as i was in a rush so i just left without it, when i got home i realized i did have the album… but not the deluxe version that walmart was selling. after going all the way back to get it, on the car ride home i decided to try and make a list in my notes app of what vinyls i already had so this wouldn’t happen again. but with having to manually enter every detail, not being able to organize it cohesively, the list getting lost amongst my other notes, having to remember that i have a list, and then having to go search for it, it was just far too difficult. once my collection outgrew the small ikea shelf it lived on i knew i needed to find a way to be able to keep track of it. after trying a few apps i found this one and it was truly perfect, i instantly purchased the plus version and it’s been SO worth it. i’m easily able to keep track of my nearly 200 vinyls with zero issues. i usually don’t leave reviews but i absolutely love this app and just had to. the only feedback i have is that i’d really love if there was a field to see how much of a vinyl was pressed. having a field to see i have 1 of say 5000 copies would be super cool, especially if it was a field that could be filled from online (discogs) like some of the other ones!.Hailey rockerVersion: 9.7.15

Amazon appI love the details and options this app has to offer! I bought pro version and love it. The only two things i wish i could do is import my itunes library. And have it set up to veiw per song track and not album. Some albums i only have 1 or two tracks for. That way i can see how many songs i have and make a playlist based on songs instead of albums. The albums do have a tracks section in the info but i have to delete all the tracks i dont have on itunes. Overall great app..Spuuner23Version: 9.3.1

Best Catalogue App By Far!!Recommend using seller's other catalogue apps if needed as well, you will not be disappointed. Everything seems to already be Indexed, all you have to do is scan a barcode/search, and add to your library! It backs up to your personal cloud with absolutely no hassle.
