This app is awesome!I have over 1100 movies in my library currently. I used to have a typed list which was a major pain. It was bulky to carry around which you had to in order to make sure I didn’t purchase movies I already owned. With that list, I could only view them by title alphabetically which created a new problem every time I had to update it. With this app you can easily add movies with several different methods and it is 99% correct without editing needed. It also allows you to rate it as you add it, or after you’ve watched it. You can view your movies by several different categories such as rating, actor, genre, etc. instead of just by title alphabetically. One last point, it updates to the cloud periodically or manually so even if you lose or change your device, you can recover your list from the cloud. WunderbarI have been waiting for an app like this for decades. Literally. An amazing database that actually works. Very stable. Allows you to import and export. Recognizes an incredible amount of films. It's easily customizable to fit your specific needs in the data you want to know and access. Nicely organized. Bravo. The one thing they could do to break it would be to move the databases online and charge a monthly fee. But that would make them into just another crappy scam app. So, please don't. GreatSo far only a few very minor issues. It can act up and just need restarted, but works very well. It’s better than my original app choice “My movies pro” which charged you annually way more than realistic. This app is genuinely user friendly and it seems to find most movies or shows I look up. I am currently scanning my library which is rather extensive and will take several hours. It should give me a true indication of how well this app works. Kimico's MovieBuddy imports data from a CSV, including Delicious Library. I started with the free version and with Kimico' helpful support team I have a sample of my movie library on my phone. I have used Delicious Library on my Mac for years, but had to export my library to Spreadsheet, CSV, or PDF to take with me on my phone.😫 The tech support team is responsive and that adds to my happiness. Best there isI’ve tried excel, notepad++... This app is perfect. Small learning curve and well worth it. Over 1,500 movies in my collection and it was challenging to keep up with. Now I can see the movies like a shelf view. Much easier to pick one when I go looking for one to watch. My Noir is separated from drama now. Easy to categorize, by genre, a breeze. Even has a search function that brings all the information with a simple search within the app. Scanning most movies i purchase in seconds... done 5 bucks, what a deal and just backed up the whole thing on my iPad to the cloud. Handy AppLove this app! With older movies the multiple add movie option doesn’t accurately input the correct movies. Sometimes with newer ones. It may just be how bar codes are for the older movies. 1980’s -2000 example. I have a request for book & movie app. Include multiple photo options. Previously I gave them a OneSo, I was absolutely in love with this app. We finally found a way to track our movie collection. BUT then the app started crashing. I emailed the developers and they got back to me quite quick saying they were working to fix the glitch. Absolutely amazing!I have no issues with this app whatsoever! It’s simple to use and helps keep me from updating an excel spreadsheet of movies like I was before. Crashes when I add a movie manually.The app would not work on my iPad it crashed when I added a movie. It worked on my phone until I updated it. Now it crashes when I add a movie on that. Great for mainstream, not for othersI gave Book Buddy 5 stars because it seemed to have a pretty comprehensive database and was so well done. Not so much for Movie Buddy because of a lack of a comprehensive database. If you have a lot of instructional, fitness, documentary or oddball movies you will get the dreaded “not found” message a lot and have to manually enter them. Latest update 8.9.8 works wellWould give 5 stars, but the export has bugs that will not alphabetically sort anything within categories upon export. While it looks good on ipad, exporting needs repair asap. On the good side, app works well, syncs with dropbox or icloud your choice. Gets movie info from net quickly and accurately. Super good app if you do not need to export any data in any kind of order. Good luck finding movie name in over 1000 movies from a cvs file if you picked a category. So close to perfect, but missing some thingsThis app is extremely powerful, I’ve never added my movie collection to an app quicker. Even with my 3 complaints, this is the app to use. However if you’re debating spending the money, keep these in mind: The general UI is not great. I primarily use this on my iPad, and everything is so small and not scaled particularly well. Selecting a grid view only shows the covers, which is good for the images but then the rest of the info is not displayed. There is a lot of empty real estate that could be utilized better. When you select a movie and it shows you the “Movie Details” screen, it’s in a very small font and simply not laid out particularly well with tons of wasted space and small fonts that can be difficult to read. Every streaming service has a “movie details” page that utilizes the space better. On the whole, all the filtering is very impressive and detailed. But I do wish there was a section for custom categories to be added to each movie. My library is digital on a local server, and would love to be able to add info like filetypes (.mkv or .mp4), audio types, (Dolby 5.1 or DTS-HD MA 7.1, Atmos), and resolution info (4K, HDR, 1080p). Even fun things like “total watch count”. These don’t necessarily need to be added to the app, but no option of custom fields besides “tags” is disappointing. I know this app still receives updates, so I do hope that it can be improved over time as at the moment there is nothing else like it available.SfbdgjchVersion: 9.2.4

Love it. But one thing is missing.I love using this app to store and sort my movies. I have over 800 movies so it's nice to not have pull out the case to browse the many films. I like being able to sort them by genre or director and get a count of how many I have that meet specific criteria. My one issue is that there isn't a way to get a count of the movies by year (not that I found anyway). I would love to know how many I have for each year without having to count each one. Love this appI love giving this app to my kids to pick a movie for movie night. I have all the movies that are available on Netflix and red box on a list and they can go to each movie and watch the trailer. After they watch a movie just select watched and it comes off of the not watched list. Great for (most) movies. Poor for TV Series.This app works well for most (emphasis on most) of your mainstream blockbuster films. But when it comes to films like Courageous or Disney's Inside Out on Blue-Ray, it doesn't work very well at all. These types of films need to be added manually. Also, the app doesn't work at all for any original TV series such as Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory or The Office. A great appThe only cons are the number of movies I had to add manually and the sync still needs work as it glitches a lot. I have the app on my iPad and iPhone so syncing is very important. They are aware this is an issue and give several work-arounds, but it would be better if it was fixed. I bought the pro version after testing out the frees one and despite those two flaws, I would still highly-recommend this. DisasterWhile upgrading to Pro I lost my entire library. Categorizing of series could be better. For example on the main screen you see the series name. Tape on that you get a complete list of all shows in the series. That on the episode number and you get all of the normal details. This will keep the app and your library cleaner and more organized.
