Less glitchy, but doesn’t save login info!I was actually happy to see an update to the old glitchy app due to all the issues I’d had with it (crashing, couldn’t add to calendar, slow, wouldn’t load card balance, etc.). Overall the app works much more smoothly and consistently with one big flaw: it doesn’t save your login info! You now have to type in your entire email address and password (I know, first world problems) which is frustrating if I’m going back and forth between the BioLife app and say, my calendar.

Excellent place, Wonderful and easy to use App.I have been a donor here since december 2023 and i am very happy with everything . The staff are great and they make me feel appreciated and welcome. They are all very good at what they do and there are very distinct rules and policies that must be followed regarding everything involved with the donation process. They usually can get my vein with one good poke and if they have any trouble they get someone else to help them before trying again.
The app has been a needed tool and makes the scheduling, rescheduling, checking the debit card, and checking promotions so much easier than using the website. Messages, blogs and everything that is on the website can usual be accessed through the app. i have never had a 3 hour wait like another user claimed to experience. perhaps during the holidays when they get very busy that might happen but for the most part the only 3 hour wait is at the first donation with the physical and perhaps the yearly physical or when there is a referral to the medical staff/nurses for some reason.
The app is great and it's better with the changes and remodeling. The center is the best and so much better than the other option here in Tucson, AZ!!

THEY UPDATED!!I’ll keep it short and sweet. I’ve been donating for many years and have used the bio app throughout those years. I always thought it was a decent app but could use a lot of improvements. I recently went to reopen the app noticing there is a new thumbnail. To my surprise the entire app has been updated and is refreshed and is so much easier to use. The layout is nice, everything works, easier to understand, and has a really nice overall flow in color scheme. The app is a lot more inviting and engaging. (Not to mention you can actually see your cash and redeem points easier) good job development team! The application itself works amazing. I can book my appointment, cancel, or reschedule perfectly fine. It shows me the balance on my loadable debit card. Personally, I have not struggled with the app. There have been glitches on occasion, but when isn’t there glitches with anything electronic or web based?
Since day 1 (over 2.5 years ago) I have always been able to make my appts, cancel or reschedule my appts, see my balance on my card, see my history for purchases and donation appts.

Bug with appointment schedulingThis app has been very easy to use except for the fact that when you get deferred for a day the people at the center tell you that you can reschedule and come back the next day, unfortunately I keep getting the same message that I “cannot donate more than two times in seven days” even though I didn’t already donate due to being deferred.
The issue seems to be the same on the website and the worker at the center told me to wait a few hours but it’s been 5 hours and I’m still unable to reschedule my appointment.

CredentialsFirst off, reading the reviews I don’t see a problem with the app, pretty straightforward imo.
However, my concern is the staff that does the actual injections. How qualified are they? Registered nurses? Received any medical training? Or just trained employees with no experience? I’m curious because sometimes the needle hurts more than usual going in. But this last visit not only hurt going in but was uncomfortable during the entire process as well as very painful removing the needle! My wife noticed a blood saturated gauze blood stains on my arm about 2 inches from injection area. Why is that? I sent that question and awaiting a response. Other than that, all is well. App is frustratingYou can schedule days weeks out but can not see your upcoming appointments. Only the very next one. If I want to change my 2nd appointment for the week I have to cancel my 1st listed one in order to see my 2nd one and change it then go back and reschedule my 1st one which is usually taken by then. Also would like to see what’s Ava on other days even if I’m already scheduled so that I know if canceling to change my time is worth it but it won’t show availability. Everything clean in the area. The whole place is always clean too. If there is ever a problem it is always addressed right away to correct it.
I have been going here for a couple of months and have never had any problems. When I first started going to Bio Plasma I joked with them about giving me a T-Shirt and one of the people who work there went and got me one!!( Purple is my favorite color) I really believe Bio-Plasma is a great place to give plasma and would be a great place to work. Log in and Facial RecognitionI’ve been donating plasma for some time. My only frustration is scheduling plasma appointments. You have to log in using your email address and password EACH TIME you want to schedule an appointment. With the latest Biolife app update you were supposed to be able to set up facial recognition which would make it so much easier to schedule appointments. I’ve logged into the Biolife app but can’t figure out the facial recognition option in the app. Am I missing something? Fixing this problem would make so many donors that much happier. App is Great, Company GreatHad nothing but positive experience in picking up some extra cash donating plasma. They have been awesome. First donation didn’t eat before hand, only ended up giving half what would normally be required before getting sweaty. I barely noticed, they did. Came over, stopped early, checked everything out, still paid fully, was shocked. Next time back more hydrated and ate and had no problems since. Only on 5th donation. I think the app and BioLife are just fine.It seems all the reviews left recently are quite negative. I’m new to BioLife with my third donation coming this week and so far have had nothing but good experiences here in Pensacola Florida.
I think if you are reading these reviews and deciding if you should work with BioLife, take what you read with a grain of salt. It was clear to me that most donors were doing so for the money (no problem with that) and are probably in a tough spot financially, leading to them leaving reviews through a jaded lens.
BioLife clearly states the health requirements to donate so anyone complaining about their veins or something else going on with them that has disallowed them to be a donor, well that’s just a tough hand they have been dealt.
Reading these negative reviews gives me the feeling that people here need to look in the mirror rather than at BioLife for their issues.

Long wait timesThe last few times I’ve donated, it’s taken 3-4 hours. Not enough staff to accommodate the amount of appointments they provide. It’s really discouraging and I have stopped going. Tried to switch to a different location that is local but was told I could not do that. I love to donate and feel like I’m putting some good back into the universe but it’s hard to find time if it’s going to take 3-4 hours each trip. Pretty good, but needs some tweaksThe app is great to schedule, check your account balance, or get some info. I do have trouble sometimes when opening the app, it just crashes. I have to delete and reinstall the app when that happens and it is frustrating. It happens about twice a week and I can’t find a pattern as to what triggers it. Sent home without compensation due to lack of staffToday, Tuesday, November 5th, I had a donation appointment at the Temecula CA Center at 7:00 pm. I went through the entire donation screening process. I got my finger pricked, they took my blood pressure, the checked my weight, and passed my questionnaire. I was waiting in line for them to connect me to the machine, so that I could start the donation process when they told us that they were short staff and they sent me and home well as other people who were in front of me. They didn't give us any coupon and, they told me that we would not be paid. It's not fair that they schedule so many appointments if they don't have enough staff to serve us. I lost more than an hour of my time, spent gas and drove more than 20 miles to be here just to be sent home without any kind of compensation. I don't think it's fair. I demand that I be reimbursed for my wasted time, because that wasn’t my fault they didn’t have enough staff. They told me that there is no way they could give us any coupon, but I know they can. This has already happened in the Corona California center, and whenever this happens they give us a coupon or compensate us. I'm very disappointed and upset with this company. I have been a constant donor for more than a year and I am seriously thinking about moving to a different plasma donation center. I hope you answer me and something is said or done about it. Garbage appWhoever wrote this app should be fired. The thousand+ reviews already written that outline how garbage it is , should be a clue. I’ll add a new one. 1- u can’t donate without the app. Literally. We call 4 different ones within a 40 mile radius. No one ever ever ever ever answers the phone. Ever. So u need the app to donate. U get to the place and there is always a 1-3 hour wait BEFORE sign in. Because “someone called in sick “. Because of that u have to click early early times to get in. Sadly most of them are gone. Like say 9 am. U click 9 am and u might get in but not your spouse. So she goes at 9:10. There is a 10 minute grace period to sign in. Can’t be 11 minutes early or late to sign in( at the facility) now say u get there at 8:40. Since it’s a 30 minute drive. U leave a cushion. U try to change appointment. U have to CANCEL old one. And click to see if there is availability. Hopefully there is. If not u just lost you appointment. You can get around this by talking to the receptionist there “hey can u see if there is something earlier since we are already here “. Appointments mean nothingThe problem with this is that appointments mean nothing. You set an appointment, but 100 other people did at the time as well. 3 hour waits are normal. Defeats the point of “scheduling an appointment”. ^^^^^ And they seemingly randomly don’t allow you to schedule appointments. I know there’s not many people there in the morning, but they block you out from that so fast. But yet you can still schedule at 7:30 when tons of people are there and coming in. So it’s next to impossible for me to donate twice a week when I can only schedule an appointment one at a time, and on that short notice I can’t get a spot in the morning. ^^^^^ And I’m confused why it even blocks you out of scheduling at that time when less people are there than at other times that you can schedule. ^^^^^ It’s just a tremendously packed place at this location, would love to be able to come in and get it done but this confusing method of “scheduling appointments” that assumes you have all the free time in the world is very oddly done. Losing my mindThis app and the website is driving me insane. I registered online to be a new donor. I donated for the first time on 2/9 and had the required physical. The next day, I received a text message saying I missed my appointment and could reschedule. I activated my payment card and it showed I successfully donated and was paid for the donation. The app and website both said I never had any previous appointments and I still need a physical+donation appointment. I called the center and submitted a “Contact Us” form on the BioLife webpage. Nobody ever picked up the phone or returned my calls after leaving multiple voicemails. Never got a response for the contact form either. I brought this issue up to the employees at my second appointment and one employee “merged” my accounts, apparently, so it “should be working”. I’m on my FOURTH donation now and the app and website both say I’ve never had any previous appointments, still need a physical, and cannot schedule any other type of appointment. Biolife is a based center, and they need to be investigated.Ok I went in and took a physical. Passed donated twice then they blocked me out and UPS stopped at my house and handed me a letter stating that my plasma was not up to parr, I’m like what! I don’t do drugs I take care of my self, they said I had to much white cells attacking the red blood cells, I’m like I gave in the past not to long ago to another plasma center and they never refused me. This center is being run by a biased personnel that just take who they want it seems, it could of been that they made a mistake and labeled the flask with some one else's name. there’s nothing wrong with me. They said I’m banned forever there, I hope they check them out and reprimand who ever is behind this. Not worth all the timeAside from the app being difficult to navigate, the organization itself is highly unorganized. For being so desperate for people to donate, you would think they would make enrolling a much smoother process. Not to mention they seem to have difficulty staffing facilities. My husband and I spent half a day for our initial appointments only to find that neither of us qualified until AFTER finally seeing the nurse for the physical. He didn’t because he had stents and I didn’t because I have OSA. They said they would need my provider to fill out a form and then fax it back to them. Meanwhile my phone is being blown up with texts and multiple emails asking me to donate yet I can’t even get past the screening process. Literally the only way to bypass all the red tape is to lie ,which ,based on the people that were there donating, was obvious. AppointmentsThe appointment calendar was better the old way. At least it was on my iPhone. If I make say 5 appointments, I can’t see where I made them if I come back into the app unless I click on the date again one at a time. Being able to see the whole month to schedule your appointment was much nicer. In the end it doesn’t really matter because the line to get tested is usually a half hour, then you wait in another line a half hour to get a chair, then you wait again for them to catch up and stick a needle in you. My scheduled last appointment took 2 hours to complete. I only need 45 minutes to give plasma so the rest is all waiting. Why even have an appointment? Must be like the airlines and overbook seats. The worst app everI would give this app a zero if I could. I have never given such a poor app review, but I have never interfaced with such a problematic app. Here goes:
1. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT - They suggest “connecting with us online,” which really means liking them on Facebook. There is ZERO app support. Yes, there is a very roundabout way you can give feedback, but it’s quickly followed up with “we don’t work weekends and only work 8am-4pm, so you may not get a quick (any?) response.” I messaged three days ago and have heard nothing.
2. I continue to get an error message when trying to sign up for an appointment through the app. It tells me I have to have a physical because I missed my appointment, except I didn’t. I was there. FOR OVER THREE HOURS.

Can’t log inI haven’t been able to log into my account for days. I’ve reached out to the website directly, and the Facebook page with no response. Today there was an ‘update’ on the app. I deleted it and downloaded it again with the issue still happening on the app and website. I donated for the first time last week and had an appointment this past weekend scheduled. I needed to reschedule it, couldn’t log on, opted to cancel through the text reminder and it said in response it couldn’t find my appointment. The system has been so messed up I didn’t want to take the chance payment would not work because I’ve seen complaints about payouts before. I am trying to complete the $1000 sign on bonus but they are making it literally impossible as I still can’t schedule and have continually been met with an error message with [4]. Update Doesn’t WorkEver since the update on Monday nothing has been working. I’ve tried to be patient since before it kept saying there were errors due to high site traffic. After waiting three days it still does not work. It’s now saying “Donor’s Inquiry API Failed” and so I still cannot make an appointment and I don’t even know what the error message means. I tried looking to other reviews to see if the developers have responded with any helpful tips and I saw one where they said to email them if problems persist. I tried to email the address they wrote. It doesn’t work either. It said address not found.
I don’t know why they would update a working app to make it completely unusable. Terrible customer service.I went the first time and stood in line for 30 minutes before anybody even talked to me even though they saw me. Then they told me I didn’t eat quite enough so I needed to come back another time. I went back for a second visit. I was greeted within five minutes. I gave them my verification papers. The lady told me to have a seat and somebody would be with me. 45 minutes later someone finally said I needed to be in the line. They said the wait time in the line would probably be 45 minutes to an hour. At this point I asked if I could get in the front of the line because someone else told me to sit in the wrong spot and they said no. I left. Calendar option doesn’t workThis app update is very difficult to read. I have my phone set on a little bigger font so I don’t have to get reading glasses out every time I look at my phone. The Biolife app then looks very wonky. The numbers and words are all over the place. I liked the look of the app a few weeks ago better. The “add to calendar” function stopped working months ago so it’s annoying to have to go to my calendar every time I make an appointment and manually enter it in even though it says you should be able to click to add to calendar. Worst donation place bad experienceAs expected my first physical and donation took about 3 hours which is fine it was expected but got my first donation without issues . Now i Have gone 3 more times after that and still could not make any donations first time the dumb app wouldn’t let me make an appointment and would not register my past physical and first donation. The clinic to make me wait an hour more to be approved to be screened but did not wait so went home. The next time i go The nurses could not find any of my veins despite drinking 8 bottles day before got poked both arms and sent back hime . I tried no less than 7 to 10 times to load and reload app. It closed me out. In one segment to see prior account, in another it says I’m already in the system. I had a previous married name so I went down to BioLife stood in line to talk to someone. They reset my account said it was working. Came home to get back into the app now it says my emails not a working email in the system. I tried Bio Life. I tried calling several times no bodies to answer calls. Automated system only. Won’t let me register or log inI’m a new donor, I just did a walking to give plasma. I went on the site to register with the email I provided the center and it won’t complete the process it just gives me error msg over and over again. I used a different email with my donor information and it allowed me to register but it starts the whole process I just went through at the center. So I logged out and tried to log back in with the second email I used to start registration and now it said that this email isn’t in the system either. So now it doesn’t recognize both emails, won’t let me get past login or registration to make my follow up appt #2. Now what? Potential donorNever again will I put myself through the stress of trying to donate at this place. Twice now I have been there trying to donate and both times were a complete waste of time. The first time, my blood pressure was a bit high, so I got on BP med and returned over a month later and it was fine. This time I was turned away for slight psoriasis on my elbows, which was there before, and is a thing I’ve had for 45 yrs. INCORRECT/INACCURATE PAYOUTSOkay, first of all, I’m writing this on behalf of my fiancée (as I have a medical condition that disqualifies me from donating), who is currently blood-red in the face and in tears trying to solve this issue inside a BioLofe facility. Today, he was supposed to receive a $240 payout for his donation after 1-2 weeks of tiny payouts, and he has just received merely $20. During the last promo he had, there was a time that he was supposed to receive $60 but instead only got $40, and then the $20 he didn’t receive was added at his next donation. I try on another phone and it won’t even open the app. It will force stop and shut the app off instantly. No matter what I try hour after hour it won’t make my appointment so something is clearly wrong with the app. I’ve been over 175 times so I don’t appreciate the difficulty in just making an appointment or the amount they pay you. They clearly make 5-10k off a donation with what they tax peoples insurance for plasma I bet but they wanna pay us less then $100, only $40 then $90 if you can make it and I only have one arm available. Worst experience everThey need to have actual certified phlebotomist working here rather than students who don’t care about the patients and the damage they are causeing to people, after being stabbed in the muscle because the student wasn’t paying attention this location did nothing to care about the giant purple blood clot that was immediately forming under my arm instead I was told to come back later in the week so I go back 6 days later just to stand in line for 40 minutes and then be told I can’t donate because the damage to my arm looked worse, no accountability here and now I’m left with my time wasted and my arm looking deformed still, not worth the stress and damage there are plenty of other places to donate that care about the patients. This is a scam!!!!!They advertise all over about Donor900 promo to trick you into downloading this and signing up waste of time.
When you type that promo in it just says not available. And calling their location is zero help as the people there have no idea what’s going on. Lady literally told me she doesn’t know anything about the promotions and to go online and read to try and answer my questions.
It’s been over 6 years since I’ve been to this joke. And back then it was exactly the same. They offered a bonus for so many donations your first month, only my 3 rd of 8 visits i was paid but not credited the donation towards the bonus because the incompetent nurse kept sticking me until they were not allowed anymore because of collapsing my vein. On top of that when i asked for a different nurse After being stuck 5 times they were extremely rude to me for asking that.
The only reason i even entertained the notion of going back to this incompetent disaster was the 900 in a month which turned out to be a lie.

Customer service?The first person you see when walking into a business is someone smiling. Not here you don’t. I walked into a blank stare. I said good morning and asked how I should make an appointment since my app wasn’t working. I was told to elaborate more she didn’t understand how my app wasn’t working. I told her my phone has been crazy and I can’t open any apps. She then asked my name said she would make the appointment for me THIS time and THIS time only. Once she pulled me up she told me I needed a physical and she would make that appointment for me. I said thx but didn’t realize and don’t have the time. I said I would come back. I got a blank stare back.

New version buggy and not well thought out, layout is not goodPeople who are leaving reviews for their local donation cent let should go leave a review on Google. Don’t leave a center review in the App Store.
That said, people who are leaving reviews about the new version of the app should be taken seriously. The new version is really a step or two backward. Did they have people test the new version? People who actually use it to donate. It’s not user friendly and needs issues addressed. Luckily, I can use it, I see others that are saying it’s not working. For me it will log in, but then it needs to log in again. Why???

Corporate GreedWhen is the reimbursement amount going back up to a reasonable amount? Is it corporate greed that keeps lowering the amount of payment? I still stand in line waiting to be processed, I still wait in another line waiting to give my donation and I still am producing the same amount of plasma. SO WHY DOES BioLife continue to decrease the amount of reimbursement payment???? It was $130 week to $120, to $110, to $105, to $100 and now I see the promotion is down to $95 a week. Appointment scheduling app is awfulThis is the second time this has happened. It is very frustrating to the point I might not continue to give. When it is time for my SPE test it takes weeks to come back so I miss 2-3 weeks of giving. This is not good for the donors or receivers. Your lab needs to get its act together. Even worse there is not notification you can’t give till you show up for your appt. So I drive 40 minutes round trip for nothing. You need to get your app to give you this notification when you schedule your appt. If the check in station can do it the app can. And then no one notifies when you can give again. Why update what wasn’t brokenSo I’ve used this app for nearly a year now with no issues which has been great. I can see what’s on my card, receive my promotions and check them. Plus, I live 45 min from my donation center. It was nice knowing I had an appointment as some of the other closer donation centers don’t do appointments.
Now since the update I can’t setup appointments. I was told just to come out on my normal appointment times and see if there’s anything open. Unfortunately that’s a lot of time and gas to risk everytime I want to donate. Really don’t want to but I may need to look at another donation center. Horrible appI clicked on a newcomer promotion coupon but was too busy to use any of it. So after a couple of months I went to click the next newcomer promotion coupon and it said I was no longer eligible even though I never stepped foot into a biolife. No matter what I did I couldn’t intuitively get rid on it. Annoying! One of the reasons I never got around to making an appt was because it had my location set for a certain Biolife building but I didnt want to use that one. And it would NOT let me change locations no matter what! So you could only make an appt at the Biolife you have already. Forget about changing locations online. What is this 1990? PhysicalI was on time for my 12:10 physical. Asked to take a seat. Person comes in after me says they had a 12 physical and were late. The tech doing the initial work takes him first. After waiting for over 20 minutes, they still were not done with the person that was late! I had to leave and reschedule due to the time I took off for this! Manager said an honest mistake the tech even walked over to the desk and no apology from them. If you are late why are you not told you need to reschedule? Trash promotionsI used to get promotions for $500 when returning to donate over the course of 6 donations. Now they’ve been trying to get me to come back for $340 over 6 donations. I barely felt it was worth the hassle of changing how I eat and drink to get the $500 but now you won’t even send me that offer anymore. If you keep donating without and offer their greedy guts will pump you dry for the equivalent of some trash they found on the sidewalk as payment. That’s how low they pay people. Points Redemption IssuesI would prefer if the point system consistently worked properly, instead of redirecting you elsewhere. I don’t remember my old email’s login, so I can’t login to the Biolife website to redeem my points. I also don’t have a recovery email for it, and my old recovery phone number I don’t have access to anymore. The payouts should be more consistent and equal. I live out of town and if the first donation of the week is only $20 that doesn’t even pay for my gas to get there to donate. Poor functioning appAs far as a scheduling app it works fine. Where it falls short is it will not tell you if there’s anything wrong with your appointment schedule, like if you need a physical or any paperwork done. The app will make the appointment but the physical location will not let you donate. It would be nice if the app told you when to schedule a physical. As for bio life plasma as a whole, it is is a poorly operated business that does not care about you or your time. They get way more money for plasma than they offer to pay you, and don’t give two hoots how long you stay at their poorly run facility “donating.” This app is just one deficiency among many..🙄😳😒Version: 2.0.7
