Can’t see my ratingsAt first I wasn’t sure if there was a glitch on my app or people just didn’t do the ratings after I delivered. I have completed over a thousand orders and can’t seem to get passed 99 five stars. The only time it changes is when a random four star shows up with no explanation and the five star amount reduces. Also I have received several compliments from customers but I’m unable to see them. I have talked to other shoppers about this and they have showed me their ratings and some have been in the thousands. I’m also having issues with orders appearing for a fraction of a second then disappearing before I can react. Sitting at stores and waiting when the app says 15-30 minutes or even 5-15 minutes and no orders come up. I move to a different store only to get an order at a store that’s not even on the map. Also why does the pay reduce when a customer requests a refund on an item that isn’t available and the customer didn’t like any replacement options? Sometimes I spent entirely to much time waiting on customers to respond to messages and searching for items that aren’t there just to have my pay reduced. Even with these issues I’m still giving Instacart a five star review because for me there are more pros than cons. At least most days. Also I have never had any issues with shopper support. Room for ImprovementInstacart is a great way to make money however it is not as great as it used to be, at least in my area. There are far too many shoppers and not enough batches. When there are batches, they pay little to none or they’re combing two stores so the pay/effort put in is not worth it. The promos are a joke at times as you can easily pass the bonus earning without even trying. For example, I’ve had a promo that was $48 for 6 batches. Well math will tell you that if most batches pay about $7, you’ve already basically hit the $48 or close to it without trying. If you don’t have a shopper card or are waiting for a new one, there are not many stores in my area that accept Apple Pay/mobile Pay. When shopping at stores like Kroger, there should be an option that informs you if the batch is an online pay or not BEFORE accepting. This would be helpful for those who don’t have their cards just yet. Also, I don’t think customers should be able to add items once the shopping starts. They’ve had plenty of time beforehand to do so. Shop only orders should just automatically use online pay and should at least have the option for tips. Stores that don’t have aisle numbers such as Sam’s or Costco should have more time added to shop. Also customer service needs a lot of training and revamping. With some reps I’ve had to ask the same question multiple times to MAYBE get the correct answer. Rating systemInstacart is a great way to make independent money. I do it as a main source of income I have 3 kids and it works just fine for my life. I do have a problem with “support”. I was just threatened for expressing concerns so I decided to express here. A problem I have is the rating system. We have no control over disputes if not attached to a particular item. For some background I’m a diamond cart 5 star shopper and I give everyone the same level of respect. I’ve watched the lessons and have improved myself to this level of shopper and take what I do seriously. You can put your all into someone’s order and 1 item can be the difference between a 5 and 1 star. People are emotional and irrational especially while spending their hard earned money. We as shoppers get the bad end of that which is unfair. We go out of the way to communicate and suggest replacements which requires the actual customer service and that’s where problems are, people don’t respond or irresponsibly ask for a refund they didn’t want (this happens a lot to me). We need a voice as shoppers when it comes to defending ourselves and earning potential. We can’t dispute actual ratings. I think that would be extremely helpful to be able to at least look back and see why and learn from a mistake if one was rightly made. I give you a 1 star in hopes to gather the attention to fix this issue..Version: 4.317.0
Pros and consPros: descriptions and pictures make finding items super easy… I love that the print has been made a bit larger and bolder… Access to tips earlier is a big plus… Support is super fast and I a text away… I like that I received pet patches that are close to my location on a regular basis… I love having my Costco and Sam memberships available... Cons: no fun when you hired way too many shoppers I couldn’t get a batch to save my life as I went from 600 a week to 200… Why do I have to send a picture when I hand deliver the groceries it makes no sense… I wish there was a way customers could request their shopper as I get it multiple times daily my customers say I only want you shopping for me Kim but I explain to them that everybody should be at the Instacart standard that I am and they say Kim they are not but maybe in the future it could be possible… bugs me that 1/2 pound of lunch meat from the deli dictates the Publix… Fort Myers Beach/Estero Blvd., Publix has the lousiest selection and a lot of outdated products but if somebody orders a half a sub or half a pound of lunch meat I have to use up Publix sometimes for three different customers and I’m always having to substitute… I never really minded going to the deli because I went there firstAll in all I love working for Instacart… I’m a paramedic firefighter by trade but after I fractured my femur and was it ready to hit the ground with boots running yet this is proved to be good income to help me get my son through college... On Demand is Great!!I Absolutely love the switch to On-Demand Sunday’s I have church and family time and we go to church at 8:00am and church is an hour long so if i wanted to have a slight chance of getting hours I would have to leave church 10 min early and go outside and some how I would still end up on a waiting list so not to mention how embarrassing it was walking out early because I don’t bring my phone in with me. So I personally love the change to on demand wake up get ready open the app and immediately head to work and than when I’m done, I’m done no consequences I just go home. So thank you Instacart I fully support your decision and if anyone wants to throw a fit it’s very obvious that they can thank all the inconsistent people signing up for hours and than either bailing an hour or 2 befor there shift or bailing and not even saying anything. That may not be a big deal to anyone else but that’s money Instacart is loosing because I guarantee it’s a minimum of a half an hour by the time someone accepts the hours and gets out the door and in a position to accept an order and that’s 30 minutes of unsatisfied customers trying to make an order or what should have been delivered at 4:30 to make dinner at 5:00 is now not showing up u til 5:00 messing up there schedule possibly convincing them that they shouldn’t use Instacart. I love working for you guys but…I just think since you guys allow us to be our own boss (which is cool don’t get me wrong) and have to pay for our own fuel (which is also understandable) , i feel like batches in the beginning should be much closer to the area we live in. Not everybody is going thru this, I know a lot of people probably are tho, but gas prices are obviously thru the roof and I’ve gotten this job just so I can afford just that. So having to travel 20+ mins away, I find myself not even being able to make it to majority of batches. Sometimes I get lucky by being at a “closer” store and randomly stumbling upon a couple (at most) batches at that store which is great & you guys also mention how that can happen in the app. But other than that I’d really like closer batches while waiting on my card to arrive so I can at least do plenty of batches to make myself eligible for a cash out so I DO have enough gas for the farther and more busy stores. Other than that I love the app and it is so easy even if you have to scan hella replacements during shopping. It can get hectic if every or almost every item is unavailable but the app is so helpful with that and you eventually get the job done. Just wish y’all would make the batches closer for those of us who got the job in order to put fuel in our car and food in our mouths in the first place. I know it’s not meant as a full time job but I’m waiting to get added to the schedule at another job as well so I’m basically in between job which also means I’m low on money. Items that are not availableWhen I am shopping for someone and the item isn’t there I’ve checked the shelves and check the shelves and I say I can’t find it, and the screen comes up for me to check again because somebody got it 4 hours before I was there kind of makes me think you’re telling me I’m stupid and look again. I don’t like it when that happens. Often there’s an item called for and I look and I look, and when I bend over and look down under, there it is the last one way back in the corner and I get that item. I didn’t bend over and look because you told me somebody found one for hours ago, I bend over and look because I am a very persistent Shopper. And if I find that item later, in the store on an end cap I go back and I put down that I found it and get it for them. It just makes me angry when a machine tells me I’m stupid like a little child to go look again. If you look at the length of some of my shops you’ll know that I don’t just zip through and not find stuff. I have a lots of shops that are well under the time in which I should have shopped them, and gotten everything on their list. Then there are ones where there are refunded items because they weren’t available and in those cases usually my time is quite long. I’ve had shops were I spent 15 minutes trying to find somebody to help me, just show me where this was supposed to be before I give up on an item. Stressful, Unfair, UnjustI have been a full service shopper since May of 2020 and have completed well over 200 batches. For my “Thank you bonus” I was given the base payment of $50 for all my hard work when the company said the bonus is based on the number of batches that have been completed. 200 being the highest amount of batches completed and the minimum amount needed for the maximum bonus amount one can get and 10 batches completed by December 9th for the minimum bonus amount of $50. Customer support is useless for this issue I was told that they can’t help me because they don’t have any information on how the bonuses are given out and that they couldn’t help me. Also when going shopping in stores the other people shopping are just so rude and it’s just so stressful to get through the day but I do my job to help out others during these unpredictable times. Sometimes the customers will lie and say that they haven’t received their items when they have and it ends up bringing down your rating so I have had to start taking pictures of each bag with the items in it to insure that everything is accounted for. And if your rating drops to far it affects you from accessing certain batches which is wrong when the customers are lying but of course the company will believe the customer before you hence the reason I take the pictures..Version: 4.207.1
It’s ok…but Uber eats is way less work and more $$This app can make my phone run slow at times and drains my battery. The biggest complaint I have is the pay. Uber eats it’s a lot less work and pays more. Also with there being being a lot of replacement items because of the high demand, it lowers my tip which I don’t think is fair. I’m sure the customer selects to tip a percentage of the sales and the total amount changes when you select different items or have to refund their items and that makes the tip chance, but customers don’t think of that when tipping a percentage. It’s a lot more work to get a replacement item it should pay more not less. I think it’s kinda complicated if you can’t find the exact item they want. At first I thought having to scan every item was tedious and annoying but after doing it a couple times I got faster and it helped prevent me from getting the wrong item. Lastly I was running low on gas when I first started. I had made 3 deliveries and was going to cash out to get gas, but it won’t let you until you’ve completed 5…I can understand making you wait but 5 deliveries is a bit much. Over all, if I had a choice in delivery jobs I’d much prefer door dash or Uber eats but unfortunately it seems like everyone else does as well cause I can’t get on with them because they are too full. If they upped the pay for the amount of work that is being done I’d be all for this app but it’s not really worth it if there are other better paying options that are far less complicated as this..Version: 4.263.2
Fairness for allLove doing Instacart although I get very frustrated at times. Mostly when a place shows up as a house and I take the order as I did yesterday and it turns out to be a third floor apt. It states on the address it is an apt and I’ve complaint before and it not done any good. If it says Apt #1234 in the address then you already know it’s and apt. Customer service comes up with different excuses why they showed it at a house. This was 4 big boxes for fruit and veggies from Costco. I had the make four trips up three flights of stairs with boxes I could hardly carry. I’m 70 years old and pretty strong but there is a limit to what a person can do at this age. Pay younger shoppers more. Anyone who is carrying these cases of water up steps should make more. It’s not easy for them either. Or at least show it correctly on the app. I deliver a lot, I’m pretty good at it and get lots of compliments. I’m not lazy and I feel I do a good job. I made $7 for two batches with a $5 and an $6 tip so $18 for a ton of items from Costco. Wasn’t worth it for so little. And I’m not sure how you figure out pay for gas. Had a batch last week for 20 miles got gas money had another for 21 miles got no gas money and one for 7 that I got gas money. Doesn’t make sense. Gas in Arizona is still at 4.19 a gallon. I don’t know what else to do 😢 I can’t get any batchesI have been shopping with Instacart since a little before the pandemic started. At first work was steady I could fairly quickly pick & choose a batch, then it turned into an insane free for all! In less than one second you had to grab whatever batch you could get even if the store was an hour away just to make a few dollars. Now I have been staring at my phone since the new update to give 5 Star Shoppers Priority, WELL I’m a 5 star shopper (A REAL ONE NOT A BOT) and I have not gotten 1 Batch in 2 days. I can’t get through for my unemployment, I’ve been pending status since March & now I can’t make money on here either. I don’t know how I’m going to pay my bills? And I want to point out that No matter the issues with the app I have remained an EXCELLENT SHOPPER to my customers, my reviews speak for themselves I get additional $10 to $20 tips all the time when I can catch batches & customers often request for me to be there permanent shopper (which I know it’s not possible but people ask). PLEASE InstaCart I beg you, fix the issues, get rid of the hackers stealing higher priced batches & offer batches again to deserving shoppers. I want to remain a part of this team but if I can’t make money how am I supposed to keep waiting for these issues to get better if I have bills to pay. I’m in the Northern, Orlando area. I travel from NSB, Ormond Beach, Daytona & no matter where I go an hour or 2 up or down I’m having this issue. I don’t receive the paymentsHi there, how’s going. I contact this email because I have a problem with my shopper account, I been working for almost a year with Instacart shopper. The last weeks I don’t receive the last two payments from (February 24 to March 2, 2025 and March 3 to 9, 2025) I still working but Instacart don't make my payments, I contacted my bank to know if something happened with my account or my Card but they said that all is good, my account don’t have problems. I contacted shopper support from Instacart again but they don’t help, they just leave the chat after read the question, I try contacted shopper support ten or more times because I need my money, I worked hard to get it but Instacart don’t give to me an answers. Now I have many problems because I have to make payments, I need to pay the rent, I need to pay my credit cards but I don’t have money because Instacart don’t make my payments, even don’t contact to me to explain the problem or to fix the issue, I’m alone in this situation. Now me and my husband want to file a lawsuit for the damages caused and for negligence on the part of Instacart. No one has taken on the task of giving to me an answer, even a support agent gave to me an email but that email says it is not attended by anyone, it is like a mockery. Love making customers happy!I love when I get big batches. I strive to make my customers are fully aware of an item is out of stock and send them pictures and prices of similar substitutions. They always thank me for my professionalism and leave a great rating and review which makes my day in return. So it’s a win win. I get discounts on my oil changes. I wish we could receive holiday incentives. Or promo batches be $30 for 5 batches instead of $21 for 7 batches. Also they shouldn’t be quick to remove Costco without explaining what the problem was and should at least give you a warning instead of completely removing Costco batches forever for something you didn’t even do. Apparently the cashiers at a particular Costco scanned the first customers Costco card for all three orders after I showed her the other cards for the remaining 2 orders and I was removed from receiving Costco order without being told why. Then I heard from other fellow shoppers it’s because Instacart believes the shoppers were using they’re personal Costco cards. Which at the time I never had one. I hope they can change that and allow me to shop at Costco again. I was never told why I was removed and have inquired multiple times when I can shop there again, they said never. I had the worst experience with the updateThis update has cuased nothing but stress and trouble and confusion the app doesn’t let you proceed with the order lots of app glitches and not getting enough work now the app has updated cutinf our income of the batch i half it’s enough to make gas for the day only and maybe a gallon of milk if needed at home it’s a disappointment now that Instcart has changed owners the milage is not worth it they pay really bad for milage for example if the batch has 50 items they will pay 7 dollars to shop and deliver not including tip and customer won’t tip due to Instacrt taking the ten dollars from us when they say it’s a ten dollar delivery fee yes of don’t believe u will see that it’s bad and very insulting to us shoppers who have been with them for so long and the new people have no idea they think that the new shoppers think it’s a good pay and shopping gig for extra income kinda like making them dum it’s very sad how we don’t get prioritized as there shoppers and to top it off they put customer first in issues that have proof of customer being wrong yes no matter what we don’t get listen to and our ratings are very sensitive we get rating for a can being dented and hurts our rating for months to come and don’t get paid well off that if work believe u will see once u Inter the instacrt platform and see it for your self.Version: 4.289.1
Not fair for allInstacart has had a lot of updates recently & the updates have made the shopping experience instacart provides for you a horrible one. They don’t honor their shoppers because if someone were to report their food missing after receiving it definitely they will honor the customer’s word over the shoppers & make it go against your shopping account. Then sometimes the app glitches while you’re shopping a batch & takes the batch away from you. Leaving you in the store you traveled all the way to for nothing. The agents are unreliable & take super long to answer the chats when you request help & it will leave you looking stupid in the store. The only way you’re really successful on this app is if you earn platinum cart status which gives you the opportunity to accept batches before anyone else sees them called Priority Access. You’ll need a 4.7 out of 5 star rating for that to be available to you but not every customer you shop for is going to give you a 5 star rating. If you receive anything less than a 5 star a couple times your rating goes down below a 4.7 causing you to lose your Platinum Cart Status & Priority Access. For there on forward you will see all low batches & picked over batches thats probably a low amount of money. New people really wanting to do this will struggle finding batches over people with Platinum Cart & People who have been working with Instacart a while will lose Platinum cart & all the time & never really get the chance to straighten the average rating out. I’m hoping Shipt just increased the prices in their orders & I’ll just go work for them because Instacart ain't it no more ✌🏾.Version: 4.312.0
Love InstacartI recently moved to another state and was very heartbreaking it was taking me a while to get back into law enforcement! I was really down and I tried doing Uber and Grubhub; to help with contributing financially to help my husband and provide for three children. During this pandemic, I wasn’t making anything at all to help at home except to provide gas. I had to sign up for blocks and with children there was no telling when I could work! I would just put I was available And was lucky if they sent me any orders over a 3 hour period of sitting around! It sucked. I signed up for instacart, hoping things would pick up. I was approved so quickly and within days I was able to head out and work. After I finished an order there were so many more waiting and when I say I am so happy with what you guys are providing for people in need, on both ends, its unbelievable! I make enough to supplement my husbands income, pay bills and even help my family with what Corona is doing in our nation! I wasn’t paid to leave this review, I just really wanted to thank instacart for what you have provided that allows me to help my family! I can work when I want, can log off when I don’t and don’t have to worry about consequences! With my babies out of school and daycares closed, I control my own schedule and don’t have to fret about needing baby sitters!!!! I love it!.Version: 4.170.0
It’s great if you don’t like the contraints of normal jobsIf you need money and you need it now, this is a great way to make money. I don’t know if it’s that great hourly but it’s better than the minimum wage set by the city of Philadelphia. There’s this thing that happens where you use your gas which does cost money to make money and does it work out in your favor sometimes it seems like it works out sometimes it seems like you’re using a lot of gas, but I think that it helps you feel empowered and like it’s possible to make money and this is a way to make money and there’s probably ways to learn it that make it more profitable like if you stay in the vicinity of one store during hours where you get more business and then you’re not driving all over town I think it’s kind of fun away if you like driving I think this is definitely for when you’re in between real jobs and when you can only work a few hours at a time I’m not sure if it would be a good choice for someone that wanted to work full-time hours but I think it’s pretty good for it’s ability to like make you some amount of money when you really really need money (because I am driving right now. This is the life we’re all living. We’re all doing it. You go to the store on Sunday. We’re all Instacart together. It’s kind of a funny Collective experience.).Version: 4.415.0
Inconsistency insta cartInsta is good when your batch is under $20(unless your doing multiple orders in one batch) Anything under $20 batch the app works perfect, as soon as you start getting higher over the app shuts down and continues your time when your not able to contact customer service or customer because of the app not working!! Help center isn’t reliable when time in need!! When the app isn’t functioning, there’s no specific # to reach unless you search(google) it, and the # that’s provided doesn’t allowed to talk to anybody, until it’s 20min later while the batch is still in effect!! Yes it’s good when your doing $12-$7 batch’s app works perfect but, anything over then the app messes up completely and your ratings are effected by the cause!! Insta cart needs an official customer service # for drivers!! Recommended not to do insta cart on high paid weekends your money won’t add up🤷🏾♂️👎🏾‼️ Customers lie on missing items and regardless how quick and neat you bag groceries, drive on time…they don’t give honest ratings Never will I tell anyone how to spend their money But, if an person takes your order, order takes an 1hr to do, they’re done in 45min, bags groceries in a good way, leaves market and arrives 15min before drop off official time, doesn’t deserve an higher tip and an automatic 5star rating🤷🏾♂️‼️.Version: 4.362.1
App glitches and shopper penalized for lack of customer ratingsI have been an Instacart shopper for over a year now, and the app seems to always glitch. I LOVE doing Instacart, and it has been a great source of income for my family. But it is very disheartening when your app repeatedly has issues. I have been able to maintain a 5 star rating for the majority of my time shopping for Instacart, and I pride myself on being an excellent shopper. I absolutely take into consideration what my customers expectations are of having someone else do their shopping for their families meals and such, but feel that I as a shopper, am penalized repeatedly for customers not rating my service. It is completely unfair that my rating should be affected by this. I work very hard to provide for my family, and yesterday, a 4 star rating, that I had received over a month ago, that had been forgiven due to low stock, showed up in my ratings dropping my score to a 4.98 effectively causing me to not be able to see any batches! This is the second day I have been ready and available to shop, sitting in the store parking lot for over 2 hours, and not gotten a single batch! All because I am 4.98 and at no fault of my own!!! You guys really need to be more conscientious of your shoppers who are out here every day ready and willing to go above and beyond for the customers. And please fix your app issues and customer rating system. My ability to provide for my family is now being affected due to negligence on your part..Version: 4.228.0
Hate the new updatesThe new updates are so frustrating! Not only are there even more bugs than there were before which is so frustrating when I’m on a time constraint while shopping. But the update requiring I message the customer whenever I swap an item is so annoying because I always talk with the customer first anyway so now it’s just embarrassing and makes me and instacart look dumb because I have to send the message twice for them to approve the swap even though they already approved it. Then I just have to apologize saying that instacart makes me message them again, which waists the customers time and my time while I’m trying to quickly shop and get everything right. Also if there’s any way they could make this app not take all my phone battery life?! I will go in to a store with 100% battery and by the end of the order my phone will be below 20%. So many times I’ve had to stop in the middle of my order to go charge my phone because it completely died. And don’t even get me started on instacart never paying me for my friend referral bonus. Now that it’s been more than three months… In summary, doing the shopping is fine but the app has so many bugs and stupid requirements that any good shopper should have already done, it gets really frustrating when I’ve been in a busy grocery store for an hour and have to apologize to the customer and wait around for the app to work so I can complete the order..Version: 4.285.0
On Demand ChangeI was really satisfied with the on demand option that Instacart switched to about a year ago. Made me choose over other driver platforms and allowed me to make the most $$$. I know this is something not everyone appreciated but it worked really well for me. Recently they changed it back to having to be online to receive jobs and then having a few seconds to grab the order or decline. Ruins it for me. I live in a rural area on the mountain and I need to be able to decide if a trip is worth the effort, time, money, gas etc and longer than 15 seconds or whatever is happening now. I think shoppers should be given a choice as to whether or not they want to do on demand or take shifts, as depending on your area and how many shoppers are on the platform vs demand etc effects how efficient each system will work for you individually. There weren't many shoppers up here to compete with so for the most part I could pick and choose from which orders I wanted to take or take most of them if I wanted. Where as when I work in bigger cities like LA it was more competitive and the jobs were gone as soon as they posted up especially the bigger ones, so you had no time to grab them therefore it was better to assign yourself a shift or take on a block schedule. But overall the on demand feature was the way to go. This change effects my desire to do any work with Instacart going forward. I think I will continue taking a break it from until, hopefully they update to a better system. This new one is inconvenient as of now.Version: 4.225.1
Appeal to developersHi I love working with instacart, it is by far the best job I have ever had. But there is a big problem on that. I work so hard, the people love my work, I receive a lot of wonderful comments. But there are some people who are not satisfied, but it is not my fault, 100% of the low stars I receive is due to ITEMS OUT OF STOCK AND PROPLE DOESNT ANSWER TEXTS AND CALLS FOR POSSIBLE REPLACEMENT. These people give us low star because they think we didn't do the necessary work, but we don't have the power to create objects, when they're out of stock, there's nothing we can do but ask for replacement. This is unfair, most people do not accept replacements chosen by Shoppers, but they are also not available to chat. Speaking for myself, I work with instacart full time, and low rating makes my job go down a lot! keeping my score above 4.95 is an impossible mission. It is fair to have an analysis system in order to maintain a quality work, but sometimes we are punished, without guilt, and the time for a low star to expire is too long. Make 100 batches for a star to expire, and while you make those 100 you have to ask God for don’t get a customer who does not answer you, this is an immense psychological pressure. I ask the developers to research this, see what the reason for the low star was, and check if the customer responded to the shopper. We work for you and for you. Need help fixing issue InstaCart!!! PLEASE!!!I definitely recommend it working as a shopper for Instacart! I am definitely making more than I would at any other entry-level job. I love how I can make my own hours and on average I bring home at least 800 a week. But I do have one issue that has not been fixed for me and I’ve been dealing with it for a couple months. When I first started I was seeing available batches for shaws and hannaford along with some other places. Then one day hannaford stop showing up for available orders and I have not seen one Hannaford order in almost 3 months now oh so I know I’m missing out on A lot of potential batches. I have a five star customer rating and they keep telling me that there’s no restrictions showing on my account. And they can’t give me an answer on why it’s happening and can’t fix it? That doesn’t sound right to me even on my referral link if I share it that doesn’t even show Hannaford as a participating company … weird right? But I know that’s not true because on my friends shopper app she is constantly getting available orders for hannaford so I would really like this issue to get fixed especially how I live within 10 minutes of four different Hannaford locations!!! InstaCart support definitely needs to have access to be able to control and fix things like this… I can’t even get them to contact tech support for me to look into … it always seems like a dead end and they are like.. oh well… like c’mon guys… this is an awsome company… so create some better support for your shoppers… I want my issue fixed!! Bad rating systemYes, you can make a lot of money using instacart BUT their rating system is absolutely terrible and affects your income. You can literally do everything right from shopping to delivering and customers can leave you a bad rating and say items are missing, your score will go down and instacart will do nothing about it. The highest you can have is a 5.0 and even if you reach a 4.98 because a customer gives you 4 stars instead of 5, you will lose batches and make significantly less money which totally isn’t fair since a 4.98 is clearly still high. I feel like even a 4.8 should still get plenty of GOOD batches but if your score is that low you can kiss your income goodbye. You will probably get the worst, farthest batches and super far between. Customers also have 2 weeks to complain, report missing your damaged items, give you a rating AND adjust your tip.. which is absolutely ridiculous. Instacart doesn’t even care if customers lie, which they do ALL THE TIME about missing and damaged items because I take pics of all my items and report it as fraud and instacart does nothing. They only care about the customers.. when it comes to them, they are all over it, fixing issues in minutes. But when it comes to shoppers, the ones who DO ALL THE HARD WORK, they do absolutely nothing for our best interest. The instacart number is “out of service” and the chat agents within the app are useless, unless it’s regarding a customer. Off to a horrible startI just applied last week. Everything went smoothly until I picked my interview date. The app showed that I was locked in for 2pm on 10/12 and that I should be on the lookout for an email with the interview location. I became concerned on Tuesday morning when I still hadn’t received an email with the interview location. I opened the app and all it shows is the interview confirmed screen. I figured the managers were busy and didn’t get the email out. Today after getting an email telling me to upload my driver’s license and a selfie, I went into the app. Of course, all I can access is the confirmation screen or the “support” files. I browsed around looking for a way to speak with a person. I eventually reached a person. I would have been better off using Google for help. The rep claimed info was missing from my profile...info that is required or the app won’t allow you to proceed. I told her what was happening. She suggested that I cancel and reschedule. I told her I thought that was a bad idea because I’m only allowed to reschedule once and if the app glitches again, it makes me look like a slacker. She basically told me that’s my only option. Customer RatingsI really enjoy using the app especially since I have platinum status with high priority to batches. However, I’ve noticed that customers ratings are not fair when they do not communicate with me during the shopping experience. They also rate a low score if there is an substitution requested and when I replace the item with the closest in price and compatibility they are able to score me low based on it when they did not communicate a refund or a different item while I am shopping. I always greet and offer customers to communicate with me in their InstaCart experience however, 90% won’t, but are allowed to score me low or say that I did something wrong when I have reached out to them for their input on replacements. In short, in the last several weeks my score has tanked lower than it has in the last four years of being affiliated with InstaCart and it has been very mentally anguishing because my income has declined and I wonder if that my access to batches has also been compromised. Overall, I love InstaCart and my independence of working on my own, making my own schedule, and making my customers happy in their overall experience. All around problemsI have been with instacart nearly 2 years and I am a 5 star shopper. The past few months there has been a steady decrease in batches and an increase in updates. With every update there are additional issues. I am currently not able to see batches for hours at a time. I thought it was my phone so I went and purchased a new phone with its own telephone number that I use solely for instacart. The first few days were great then bam no batches again. I have spent countless hours with support to no avail. When I see batches I see those under $13 and loads of mileage. I have never had any issues with distance as long as the pay was worth the drive. I see batches for 50 to 70 items paying less than $10 for an in store batch. This is well below the surrounding areas as I shop there as well. I drove Monday to a neighboring city which is busier by far than where I Am at just to find the app telling me to go back to where I drove from. I sat in front of a store yesterday while that app continues to tell me to go there and still nothing comes up. I make $150 or more a day and now I am lucky to make $60. I see loads of shoppers shopping when I am sitting there as I know most that shop this area. As shoppers we all talk to each other. There is no reason why I don’t see batches before others like I use to a few months ago. So please for all that is good fix these issues. As a shopper of 3 years….There are a few things I would change… 1. You let wayyyyyyyyyy (and I’m not exaggerating…) way way way too many people work for instacart. That needs to stop. It’ll be amazing one week and the next week I make next to nothing and I finally get a order and go in the store and see 67 new ppl working that I’ve never seen before. I mainly do the store that’s closest to my home and I can normally make a living off that.. but you guys just let too many people in. I’ll think wow it’s finally getting good and then the next week it’s back to crap. Stop allowing every single person to join. You are ruining it for the loyal shoppers. I’ve been doing this for 3 years. It’s never ever soooo busy that you need to let a floodgate of new people to join. Never.. that’s my biggest complaint. Also I feel we should be allowed to leave a comment about a customer just like they can leave a comment about us. Sometimes I feel like the shoppers could give better notes then the customer. For instance houses that do not have a number on them or a mailbox with a number…. That is very very annoying and the customer doesn’t care. They don’t give any type of note to help find their house. I would put it’s the green house 3 down on the left. I think that would really help other shoppers. But we can’t do that. Love working for insta but…I have worked on many gig apps and really enjoy working for instacart. Only have one complaint. I feel that the support could be better. I followed their recommendation on two alcohol drop offs that the app was not working properly for me; 1 it would not let me get by the I have arrived, and a second that I scanned the id got signature and left only to reset the app miles away from the drop off and the app to show like I had never been to the drop off and wanted me to rescan id. On both these instances support was contacted. The first one support told me to drop off items that included alcohol and they would close the batch and the second support also told me in chat that they would close the batch for me because I had already scanned id and the app was not functioning right. Following both of these instances I received alcohol violations even though I followed what chat support told me to do. I feel like instacart should know that shoppers are getting in trouble and losing out on their ability to shop alcohol because they are following chat supports orders only to have the trust and safety team give them a violation and in my case remove my ability to deliver alcohol. I still deliver for instacart almost every day but think there should be some cohesion betweeen support and the trust and safely team so as shoppers we are not getting conflicting results from following chat support. Instacart is frustratingI have been an active shopper for Instacart for over a year now. I recently had my account deactivated because I needed to provide my new driver’s license (which I totally understood). I recently changed my email address and I needed to update my new email information so I can receive further information on how to update my drivers information. I spoke with the a representative on the phone and he provided me with an email address where I was suppose to send information to so I would be updated. Once that was done I immediately got back a bounce back email which said that the email address was no longer working. I then called again and this representative sent me a link that allowed me to change my number and update my drivers information. I was told I would receive a text message with an update. It’s been 2 weeks since then and I still haven’t heard anything. I recently attempted to just make a new account and because my number is attached to the current account I am not able to make a new one. I reached out to the live chat representative and just like the other calls I was again told this was out of their authorization (which I understand as well) but this process to just update my email and drivers Information has been a complete nightmare!.Version: 4.300.0
Great opportunity if they paid their shoppers well or what they’re worth!I enjoy working as an Instacart Shopper, but my recent experience on March 29 was frustrating and unfair. I accepted a three-order batch for Restaurant Depot and carefully separated each order at checkout. I informed the cashier that I was processing three separate transactions, but they mistakenly scanned items into the wrong orders. When I asked them to void and correct the transactions, they refused, claiming Instacart policies prevented them from doing so. I contacted Instacart Support, expecting a resolution, but instead, they canceled the entire batch, instructed me to leave the items at the store, and assured me that it wouldn’t affect my cancellation rate. They also told me to wait inside the store to accept the batch again. However, I soon found out that my account was placed under review for 24 hours without any warning—despite following proper procedures and trying to ensure the customers’ orders were processed correctly. It’s disappointing that Instacart penalizes shoppers for mistakes made by store employees. Additionally, the low pay, such as $5.41 for shop and 6-mile delivery with 41+ items is unacceptable, considering the time, effort, and gas expenses involved. Deactivated due to alcohol and a flat tireI’ve been an Instacart shopper for a little over 3 years now with few issues. I absolutely adore doing the work and maintain a 4.5 customer rating. Recently (a few weeks ago) on an order I lost my drivers license and had to replace it. Due to not having my physical license I had to cancel order that contained alcohol as there is no way to see if the order contains alcohol until you accept (especially with larger orders). The store will not accept paper copy or just customers birthdate, I know because I tried. This had my cancellation rate high, when I reached out to customer service about it I was told they would look into and and had not heard anything back. On my last order I ran over something in the road and ended up with 2 flat tires, when I reached out to customer service he said it would count against me which I didn’t understand why as I cannot control getting a flat. My account was immediately deactivated and when I reached out to customer service via email they wouldn’t reactivate. My car is still sitting in front of the first customers address, by the grace of god she has been very understanding offer to help me replace my tires. I have been writing to there appeals department for over a week now and have not heard back at all. Not having an active customer service line is becoming a problem. Every shopper is expendableI’ve been working as a full service shopper nearly a year and a half. It’s consistently becoming harder to make decent money working for Instacart. They have a ratings system that is borderline predatory. You are unable to see any feedback or comments under five stars. As a shopper you’re left with no explanation for four stars or lower and there’s nothing to do but “grind” and complete 100 low paying batches until the rating goes away. Believe it or not a 4.8 rating instead of a 5.0 can and will cost you hundreds of dollars. My biggest complaint however, is even though I live in a high demand area (800 feet away from Publix); I typically only see batches that are 25-55 miles away from me. The thing is, once I take a batch in a area far away from me and upon completing it, I’ll start seeing batches at the store next to wear I live. Henceforth another long drive. Sometimes I feel like Instacart just wants me commuting lengthy miles to access batches. I know the market is overly saturated with shoppers, but there are things Instacart does that could be easily corrected. Each thing I complained about can be fixed. DesMan what can I say, it’s impressive how much the world evolves with new ways of working. It’s an amazing feeling knowing that if you are blessed enough to have a car or any type of transportation, you can always make money. This app gives people no excuses on why you don’t have a job or can’t find a job. These delivery apps changes the narrative of life. I can say I was that person that would refuse to put all those miles on my car to deliver food but I gave in and tried it out. And I’m only two days into doing instacart and it’s a rush I tell you that. But what you get out of it is the freedom, no boss, manager or annoying co workers that sit and complain about everything and still continues to comes to work 😒. Doing instacart makes you want to hustle and get up early before the stores open to catch the early bird batches. For anybody telling you it’s not money to be made doing instacart there’re lying, don’t listen to the negativity. Go find out yourself. Veteran hereThe app randomly glitches. I’ve been doing this part time since 2018 and I’ve switched phones and it still does it. I don’t like the new feature where it counts down before you can check out, especially if I’m on a time crunch. Then as someone who is a shopper and a customer I don’t like the fact that the customers get charged the same but the prices for the batches went from $7 to $3.50. Getting paid minimum 3.50 to go to a location shop it and deliver it is crazy. It’s not worth it a lot of times. If I’m going to get paid $3.50 for an order I might as well do DoorDash where I rarely have to shop anything bc their base pay is $2.50. That’s often times why there are boosts and bonus $& added to batches where I live. If the base stayed the same it wouldn’t be an issue. Just charge the customers $1 more to make up for it so your profit margin doesn’t go down. I also don’t think customers should be able to take away tips up to 2 hours after delivery bc the tips are the main reason why we take the batches. This just happened to me and I was polite and did Everything asked and she took say the $5 tip. If it wasn’t for the tip I wouldn’t have taken the batches tbh. There should also be a thing where we can rate the customer and if they get a low rating for being too difficult or rude then there should be consequences like they can’t shop for a week or something..Version: 4.415.0
Poor SupportUPDATE: After reading a comment from a developer on a different review, I saw the option to reach out to the support team through FB and WOW! A total difference, my issue I’ve been trying to resolve for the last two weeks with no results from the support team on the app was resolved almost immediately with the specialist who helped me over Facebook Messenger. Leaving a star off due to the horrible experience over the past two weeks. Based on my experience, I HIGHLY recommend messaging through FB for support and not bothering with the in-app support team. Old review: I love Instacart and have the low review does not have to do with the overall experience, rather a recent issue when needing support and the inability to have my issue resolved in a timely manner. I have reached out four times to have my last name updated in the system (legally changed my last name) and have been told each time “no to worry, this concern will be resolved” however we are nearing two weeks and the team that is supposed to email me in order for my name to be updated has yet to do so. I have no needed help before this but it’s incredibly frustrating to only have the in-chat app option with specialists who are not part of the department that handles this sort of thing. I considered deleting my account and rejoining so I can begin working again but I don’t want to lose my 5 star ratings and all the positive reviews from customers. I just wish they would be more prompt because waiting this long is pretty ridiculous for how large a business this is. Getting worse and worse every weekI’m an instacart shopper. Very very good one. But instacart doesn’t treat me the way I deserve. The company is getting worse and worse every month. I would like to submit official complaint about instacart system. It needs to be fixed. This is not gonna work. Lots of shoppers already quit because this is unfair. New shoppers and shoppers who are using bots are getting all the batches and old shoppers sitting the whole day and doing 20$ batches. When I was a new shopper I didn’t see anything, I was running 10$ the whole day. Now I’m a good diamond shoppers and have to do this again. Instacart has lots of batches but not showing us. Most of the time I see only notifications but batches are never dropping on my dashboard. So it means other shoppers getting them way before me. Previous system was perfect, everybody saw batches at the same time and whoever is fast would get a batch. It was fair. I was happy to come to work because I knew I would make money. Now I don’t make money. You have to wait hours to get something. Agents are not helping at all and hardly speak any English. They just copy and paste the same information which is not even correct. They don’t listen to shoppers. They suppose to help us but they do nothing at all. There is no phone number to contact the instacart for help. I don’t even see customer who I used to do every week. They were my customers who liked me a lot and wanted me to shop for them. Dividing shoppers into small groups is the worst update on the app. Please do something. Improve the system. I wanna work. Tip baitingIt’s getting out of control and y’all should fix it! I can’t go to a restaurant and come back the next day “hey it’s been less the 24 hrs I’d like some of my tip back” or tip a waiter 30 so they do a good job then only give them 10 once I’m satisfied, I’m sure that’s frowned upon in the service industry. And y’all need to explain to your customers that it’s not our fault if the store is out of stock and we shouldn’t get penalized, up selling and selling someone on a different item was not in the job description if someone wants peanuts and the store is out I’m not going to convince them to eat cashews that’s out of my pay grade. Batch baiting also getting out of control they use one address to go outside their area then change the address I’m tired of driving 17 miles for $7, gas is 4.55 a gallon. And y’all need to take that no fault delivery off because y’all consider everything our fault, store chip reader not working your fault, accidentally accepted a batch while trying to figure out the app update at 9p with your kids in the car 🤷🏽♀️ do the batch or it’s your fault, store has no signal or WiFi and you can’t get any signal and they keep looking at you like your stealing every time you walk in and out the store that’s your fault as well 🤷🏽♀️ before I received my card I took a Ralph’s batch my fault Ralph’s doesn’t except Apple Pay. Great app, crummy driver customer serviceThe only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is the way they deal w perceived mistakes on their part. I got screwed on 2 occasions. 1st, a customer cancelled after I paid for an order and got 90% of the way to the delivery. You are supposed to get a bump in pay. I went back and forth w them and they said their policy is not to pay a bump in this instance when the website and policy clearly states otherwise. They gave me excuse after excuse and things did not add up. Then, I got a $15 tip from a customer after a delivery. They INCREASED the tip amount. It showed in my earnings as paid, but it would take 1-3 days to be released. It sign on the next day and the tip is gone and there is no trace of it. So I message customer service. 6 different people (seriously, 6) pulled the same stunt. Yes I’d be happy to help. Let me check w finance to see what happened. And then they would either not respond, the app would say that if I didn’t respond within six minutes I would exit the chat. Sometimes it would happen after 2 minutes. Sometimes I would wait for a response and they would just leave and the last person I made sure to just type yes or ok so I wouldn’t get timed out, I’d get a thank you for being patient I am working on getting you a solution. Then literally the next message was I hope you are satisfied w our solution. WHAT SOLUTION? Then they exited the chat. No one likes the runaround, getting the ball passed, etc but that’s what was done to me on 2 different occasions. Extremely low batch payI’ve been doing Instacart since the pandemic I started late 2020 I’m a platinum cart shopper now and even though it says I will have “priority access” I may only see 1-3 batches per week or so under this category and outside of that, I can hardly get a decent batch because once it pops up, it’s gone less than a second before I can even raise my finger to tap it it’s not fair to sit and wait for orders and then you don’t even have a fair chance of seeing it or accepting it before it disappears And why has the batch pay decreased so horribly? this shouldn’t be something that shoppers have to worry about when we already have to worry about how the customer may tip us. At this rate, you’re basically just working to cover the gas used to make deliveries so basically you’re just breaking even there’s no real profit at this point and please stop lowering the pay once we mark something out of stock or have to refund a customer. It is not our fault, especially if they do not want a replacement or don’t even respond to let us know. That is on the store not on us. Why should we suffer? Instacart used to be a great way to make extra money, but it’s really not anymore when you consider the wear and tear on your car to not even see decent wages from all your hard work is really disheartening and a big letdown.Version: 4.401.0
Usage issues1-The new auto messages to customers with every replacement is extreme overkill since when you hit can’t find item, you’re already directed to send a picture of what is available, then they message you yes or no or request a different replacement. So this message asking if the replacement should be optional but instead you have to hit the x about 6-10 times to not send the message. 2-When batches are to be shipped at multiple stores, we should be able to see the items and number of items from both stores but cannot, therefore I don’t know what I’m getting myself into or how many miles I’ll have to travel from that second store to the customer. 3-There recently been bugs with the customers who have multiple addresses on file. I have been sent to the wrong address several times and when using the app as a customer it’s happened as well, selected the address I wanted delivery to but once the order was placed, it listed a different address I also have on file in the app. 4-When an order is updated and items are added the only way it updates is to leave the batch, go back to the shop tab then back to the batch, otherwise you get the notification but it does not auto add to your shopping list and there is about a 2-5 minute delay from the notification until it will show up even when you leave the batch and go back to it..Version: 4.282.2
Really like the companyBeen doing it since 2019, when you had to sign up for a shift!!!!! The response time of the reps has been good for me thus far, however I am giving it a 3 star because they customer is allowed to change the tip after delivery. Once a tip is inputted they should not be allowed to take it down, only up….Sometimes shoppers takes batches because of the tips!!!! I don’t find that to be fair with all the work and driving the shoppers are required to do. They are allowed to rate you in any manner, lie and say they are missing items when they was never charged. Some customers are just rude to shoppers at times!!!! Also the way that the Cart status work is unreal. As a shopper I work hard, put endless miles on my car, oil changes etc. which is all my choice of course, however with all this hard work why do the cart status reset every quarter. I find that to be unfair. I don’t see why if you make it to the next status that you can’t keep it unless your ratings dropped drastically…. I have been doing this for a long time and never made diamond and today I was told that even if I did, it will still reset once a new quarter starts, that discouraging….If one makes diamond cart they should be able to keep it….Work hard for all this, to do what, start over every couple months…what’s the point of having this FEATURE? User friendly & clean looking app!From the first batch I completed, I have been hooked on earning through Instacart, it’s so easy to open the app up at any time of the day and see at least 1 or a few batches available. Highly recommended for anyone looking to earn extra $$ and be rewarded with promotions & incentives along the way. I do however have a few cons about the app as well, such as not having any sort of “filter” to weed out areas or stores you don’t care to see or drive to at certain times. I know extra opportunity is great but I’ll most likely never drive 30miles away to take on a high dollar (or Delivery Now) batch to drive another 17miles from the store with little to no tip included. One other feature I’d like to see in the future would be to split up 3 Shops or 2 Shops if you so choose. Certain Instacart shoppers don’t mind taking on larger batches but sometimes it just makes more sense to do only one of the Shoppers orders whom is close by.. instead of having to drive a long distance for the other Shopper on the “2 Shop” that could’ve been left to someone else going that way anyway? A couple months ago this would be a 5 star reviewSo every morning when I wake up I check instacart, but as of recently whenever I check the app there is something new updated & it’s honestly just making life harder. The most recent being I can’t see how many shops are available until I “go online” which is so stupid. Then if I don’t want to see anymore I’d slide the “go offline”. I think they’re trying to make it like door dash but it’s just pointless. If I wanted to see orders obviously I’d click the app, & if I didn’t want to see anymore... I’d obviously leave the app. Why make these stupid buttons. They also changed where the location of the towns are to above the address instead of after the street name like a normal address. Also unnecessary & annoying. There were plenty more, but besides these stupid updates I LOVE this app. It’s super easy to navigate (unlock door dash) & really fun & the people who place the orders are always really nice. I also wish there was an option to set my location because recently I’ve been seeing several towns I’ve never even heard of. Which makes me think they’re 30+ miles away (who the heck is going to drive that far for one order). I just want to see the ones in my general area. Lots of work to doI’d really like to see the delivery address before I accept a batch. Some areas are not desirable to deliver in after dark. I’m a female and deliver alone. People need to put addresses on their houses with clear delivery instructions. And maybe a rate on the customer for the shopper would be a good option too. Not all of our customers are pleasant. And if you’re gonna be nasty you should probably shop on your own. Shopper care is a headache. It shouldn’t take almost 30 minutes to get ahold of someone to help with a batch or ask a question. You should have the option to talk to shopper care immediately pop up when you accept a delivery. Delivery instructions should also pop up prior to the end of check out. For example if I’m at Aldi and they want bags that should be asked right at the beginning. Not after I’ve checked out. If you take a batch that has 2 or more you should be compensated accordingly. And get credit for each batch separately. The gps on your app is off. I’m not going to take a order when I have to drive an hour away to get it done. You give a promotion and then after you do maybe 3 batches you aren’t getting any more. Customers for the most part are decent but are terrible tippers. If people provide a service of over a 100 items in a batch they should be compensated accordingly. I’ve made decent money doing this but there are some major kinks that need to be worked out! Also your rating scale is a nightmare. 1 bad rating takes weeks to make right. And get your rating back up. Customers shouldn’t be allowed to change the tip amount. PERIOD!.Version: 4.224.0
Needs ImprovementI have only been doing Instacart for a few days now and I already see things that could improve my experience as a shopper and possibly the experience of customers as well. First off there is no way to see your completed orders and how much you made from them. In correlation to this when looking at reviews from customers you can’t see who marked you as having a good or bad performance with regards to the four customer feedback areas so you never know how well you did on a particular job. Going back to the payment per job, Instacart does not tell you your final amount that you earned on each job so you never know, unless you’ve been keeping your own records, how much money you lost with replaced or refunded items. Next, there have been several instances already in just my first few days where Instacart will suggest a location for an item in the store but when you go to that location it’s not there but somewhere else. For example I was told to pick up a thing of cheese in the eggs and dairy section but it was in fact over by the deli. Another example, on the same order by the way, was for a thing of fries located in the snacks section yet it was actually in the frozen section. My final bit of input is that Instacart does not tell you how far YOU are from the store but instead how far the customer’s house is from the store. The only reason why I comment on this is because I accidentally swiped on a $9 order that was far away because I didn’t know that the miles shown is the customer to the store and not me the store..Version: 4.182.1
Customer ratings.The customer rating system sucks. I went from 5 start to 4.87 for no reason I can think of. We make the best decision possible at the time. I contact every customer with changes or clarification. If they don’t answer I am penalized for it. That’s not fair. I love Instacart. I love the idea of them and I use them personally. AWFUL AND UNFAIRThis is the most unfair job with unresponsive support. One woman gave me a bad rating because she falsely accuse me of forgetting to give her an item, and Instacart failed to address this issue at all. Due to this one bad review Instacart penalized me by not letting me access any good orders anymore. It’s completely unfair that out of the hundreds of deliveries I’ve done this one bad review has completely ruined my reputation on the app and now leaves me with I will access to any orders. Random decision and unfair treatmentMy father’s account got deactivated because it said that he is failure to deliver orders for 4 times but he has done over thousand batches and he has delivered everything. They are not transparent on the info they get. The trusty and safety team is the worst, they should try the job before they make a judgement, there is fraud by customer. Stop buying your rating They are paying very little for shopper to carry numerous of items alone. Ridiculous. Small items but a lot of them don’t count as heavy item. Why don’t you try and lift them? Shoppers should be able to rate customers!While doing Instacart, I have concluded that both the customers and the company are inconsiderate of the shoppers. You can do 100 Instacart orders, and perfectly deliver them with no issues, and the customer is satisfied, but they do not give a rating. On the other hand, when you make one mistake, or the customer does not reply and you refund or replace an item, then that's when the customer rates you. I think some of the customers need to do the job themselves and see what it's like walking on eggshells, I have been working in customer service for many years, and the customers here are terrible. It's not just the customers, it's the company. Just today, I woke up bright and early at 7 am to complete orders. I am hit with a, “please verify your photo” request, not a problem, I complete the verification. It takes 5 hours to complete, and shows how unreliable Instacart can be. Another thing that makes it unreliable is the unpredictability of knowing how much you will be making in a day. I start doing orders from 7am (the time the store opens) to 10pm the time the store closes) and my pay varies from $70-$140 excluding gas. How is it that the pay is so little, but the punishment is so high because a customer feels that you deserve a 1 star rating. I have been a diamond shopper for many months, then go to a 4.5-star rating because customers don't want to rate me. because 1 or 2 customers want to be picky about a little mistakes. SHOPPERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO RATE CUSTOMERS!!! A lot of the customers are the issues. I have had a lady give me a 2-star rating because I didn't want to go inside her home to place the bags. I have had people lie about missing items when they were the only customers I delivered to, and I triple-checked to make sure they got all their items There should be a firm line between making sure shoppers are doing a good job, and customers abusing the system. Either pay us more to make us put up with all the flaws, or let us rate the customers to ensure that everyone is treated fairly. A lot of the customer's orders are unfair to the shoppers, it is unreliable to make someone shop for $200 worth of groceries and pay them $15 for 1.5 hours of work and the cost and effort of delivering it to them. We are all people, some of this is inhumane. We are in this gig to make money, this is not my only job, I work in customer service and on my days off, I do this to occupy my off days. Stop saying “Find a better job” when some of us have reasonably paying jobs and are in pursuit of other sources of income.
