Slack reviewWe began using Slack about a month ago and we were told of its great collaboration tools and how easy it is to communicate with team members and other coworkers. I find Slack to be not intuitive at all, very difficult to collaborate effectively without jumping through all kinds of hoops to set things up in a logical, comprehensive way. You cannot share files easily depending on where you are, working on projects with others is way more difficult in Slack than just using SharePoint tools which aren’t really that great. Messy tool with non-intuitive featuresWhile the concepts of Slack seem good, the implementation is messy. Threads seem well intentioned but make finding responses cumbersome. When new content is published, the channel is at the top, but once you read it, it moves somewhere and is not easily found. Searching more likely than not returns a multitude of results and filtering with additional criteria then yields no results. Working with more than one org makes this worse. Security by making the app uselessI love Slack itself—so convenient and replaces what was once thousands of emails and meetings. Slack for Intune, however, completely negates any convenience. Multiple times per day, Slack for Intune will require adding a workspace because it completely lost/erased/removed/no clue the only workspace, which combined with SSO means a whole process just to read or send a message. I don’t care for SlackWhen I had Microsoft Teams if someone texted me, a pop-up would appear and stay on my screen until I clicked on it so I knew someone was trying to reach me I have lost this ability since Slack has been enabled and it makes for me to track messages.
