GoPuff saved my income.It’s very disheartening to see people come on here and talk about GoPuff as a company and not their app. I’ve started gopuffing around the time the app was introduced. I’ve gopuffed many different warehouses and cities. I have had problems with managers at the warehouse and delivery drivers but never GoPuff as a company. I started working for them when I was 7 months pregnant as a 3rd job and they made my life so much easier that I could quit my other two jobs. I started in December 2021! I made $900 my first week. They set the bar very high and ofc that was my best week ever because it was Christmas. The app had its issues because it was still in beta. It wasn’t even in the App Store yet. A few years later after I had to take maternity leave for 6 months due to birthing complications. GoPuff changed so much. Their app continues to get better and better. It’s so much easier to operate the app now and to get the most out of GoPuff. I’m averaging $30 an hour. I live in a town where there are 3 colleges and I almost always get a tip over $3. Awesome Company poor marketingI love driving and delivering for Go Puff and initially when I started last year, there was no problem getting shifts at my designated location. I don’t mind driving the other locations, however, with the inflation of gas prices, etc., it’s costing more financially. I’ve seen the company allow customers to blatantly rob them over and over, especially when we know that the person is making up several email addresses just to use the $25 coupon again as it should be one order with coupon per address. Why $25, should’ve given $10 or 10% off. All that money spent for the halftime show should’ve been skimmed down. Also, some of the locations of the warehouses were poorly executed and I do mean poorly. The areas they should’ve been placed, they weren’t and now they’re closing two of our four locations and transferring that flow of customers to each one of the two remaining! It’s OK, but a few things need to be fixedI started delivering for GoPuff about two months ago. I really like the concept of not having to shop for items or being pinged from restaurant to restaurant. But they need to make more blocks available during daytime hours, and give all drivers the hours they requested for a few reasons. One is that the location I drive for is not in the best part of Greensboro, NC. Another is that they have no problem sending us to neighborhoods that should be avoided after dark. In fact, this facility is located near 3 housing projects that are unsafe, even during the day. I do try to keep my acceptance rate at 50% or above, but there are certain streets I won’t deliver to because they’re unsafe. Most of the people who live in these areas are low or no-tippers. You’ll lose money on deliveries like these. If I have to wait for orders, then I would be better off on DoorDash, GrubHub or UberEats, where I can wait at home for a decent offer. New scheduling is unfairTo change a schedule platform where you request hours and next day see none of those hours where granted is so unfair I can’t believe they doing this … I put in for 25 hours two weeks ago on Thursday at 12:45 and on Friday I seen I had no hours for next week ? Shifts don’t ever show up at the time they say they will be available, always have to rely on last minute shift drops at the most random times and support isn’t much help the best you will get is they can’t help how fast the shifts are gone . I do not notice a differenceI honestly do not notice a difference when compared to the prior app. I wish there was a way you could see all available shifts on one screen when they drop. Having to switch between locations is impossible. Also, when people drop shifts is there a way to show which location it was dropped? That would be a major help. Other than that the app is fine. Awful experience first dayI decided to try GoPuff out and they were running a promotion where if I completed 7 orders I would get $150 within the dates listed. There were no times listed but I was consistently checking the app while I was working and saw the mission was active in my list. While on my last delivery the mission got marked as incomplete. I chatted with support right away, they told me they would bring it to the higher up team as they see I completed my end, and that that team was still working and would contact me shortly. They never contacted me. Next day I contacted them again to be told the same thing. Third day I contacted them they told me I have to fill out an online form and that it would be resolved through email. I did what was told of me and provided screenshots of the mission in my history, my completed orders for that day, and all information. No response. I sent another email and they finally got back to me saying I did everything but the mission ended 6am that day. The mission was active until my last delivery in the app. The warehouse is not even open that early and those times were not listed in the mission. I responded and I sent them all the proof once again. Sent them follow up email. Terrible and demeaningThe fact that we sit here for hours as unpaid and unscheduled drivers is ridiculous. It can be 3 people waiting, yet the “scheduled” driver can get every single bin. Even when you are scheduled, you can’t earn wait pay because you get any order that pops, even if it’s a single order. The chat support threatens you when you actually are trying to get them to help by asking for “proof” of your license and insurance. Then after all that they still say that they CANNOT help you. Lastly the scheduling has to be the WORST, even though I am 100% on almost everything, the only shift they offer to give is 12am-2 out of ALL shifts. Go puff lets the same people accept shifts just to not see them at any facility. Lastly the pay should be a crime! 2.75 for one order that took me 15 mins to complete and the customer did not tip, plus the distance and mileage is always wrong. Zero Critical Thinking SkillsGetting on was easy. I did the background check (keep that in mind) and got approved to make deliveries. One day they sent a bonus to make my first delivery. I did. Zero problems.
I tried to sign on a couple days later to find my account deactivated. I learned via chat they needed to complete a background check?!!!? Huh? I already did that. I’ve never even had a speeding ticket in 30 years. GoPuff told me to contact Yardstick. I can’t. They say that they are done with me. GoPuff sends texts daily to say my information is incomplete but when I click it, it says the background check (that had already been done or I would not have been able to do any deliveries) needs more information. This has gone in circles for 2 months now. No one on the offshore chat is allowed to vary from their script and just says they are escalating to specialists. I am here to tell you, there is no one there that is a specialist on anything except not helping. They have now stopped responding to my emails that include all screenshots and chat transcripts but won’t stop texting me. Even saying my account is active and it’s not.

New Driver.This is my second day. I work in a populated area in a large metro city. There are only a few drivers at my facility. There is a lot of waiting. A lot. My very first delivery I had to contact support. I contacted both chat and phone. I was asked to use the “having trouble” button in the app by the chat. When I asked for clarification, since no button existed, it took about 15 mins for the support to say they couldn’t find the button either. The phone support called the customer and was audibly sighing in with impatience and I could tell the customer was disabled and has difficulty speaking clearly. Holy, ableism. Where’s the compassion? You want to sustain customers, right? Im on 3 way phone with this person and I don’t want to be even slightly associated with them. It’s absolutely apparent that the delivery and customer support training is atrocious. Don’t drive for Gopuff1. Gopuff has unfair prices for their drivers: they tempt their drivers to accept these unfair trip wages by giving them only a 30 second window to accept a trip offer, which is not enough time to do any research on if a trip will be lucrative or not. They will also not show you the customer’s tip until after you have dropped off the components so that you will accept bad trips. They want you to accept bad trips because then the company and the customer wins and only the driver loses out.
2. They have no support for their driver’s concerns, only the app whose chat functionality no longer works even if you have the fully updated version of the app and have cleared your app cache. This is on purpose because they do not want to hear the numerous complaints from their drivers. The email address they give you for support takes a full day to get back to you, does not understand your specific complaint and only gives stock answers, and spins all fault on Gopuff onto the driver themselves. No one at the actual Gopuff facility has any way to help a driver with a concern nor any phone numbers for support to give out.

Constant issues with the app, unethical companyNorfolk, Virginia: once again, there was a glitch in the app, making it impossible to settle alcohol or tobacco related orders. They gave me an order to run at quarter after four yesterday afternoon. The company knew about the issue at 2:30 yesterday afternoon. My order was 15 miles one direction. I get there, I’m unable to close it out because of a companywide system error. I take the order back to the warehouse and cancel it, and they kick me off of the schedule for refusing an order. Refusing an order that was impossible to close, an order that they directed me to take back to the warehouse. I reached out to customer support for a resolution. It took them three hours to respond to me. But, because I didn’t get back to them within 10 minutes of their response, they closed the case. Overall, I easily lost $150 last night. The general manager, who seems to agree with my issue, is too much of a coward to even discuss my case with them. I’ve been with this company for five years, have delivered over 21,000 orders, and every year they become more incompetent than the year before. I always recommended them to everyone I could, I drove so much that I had regulars I looked forward to delivering to every week. I had an issue trying to change my location and my new location was disabled in the app so was unable to change myself. Don’t use GoPuff unless you’re DESPERATE.I’ve been using GoPuff since the beginning of 2025, and I have to say - worst experience with an app. Doesn’t matter how far away the drop off is, base pay is always $2.50 or less. Regardless of whether a customer tips or not, or whether the order is filled with cases of water or not. On top of that, GoPuff seems to enjoy limiting their drivers. I’m not the only one in Colorado affected by this either. GoPuff has an issue with keeping drivers from delivering “restricted products” (alcohol, tobacco, etc.) with no such explanation as to why. Only use this app if you’re desperate for money, since none of the work GoPuff provides is worth the amount they pay out. Don’t even get me started on the streak system either. If you’re gonna lie to your drivers, what is the point in making it noticeable?I was about to redownload the app because I received a message saying gopuff could use some drivers in my area and looked closer at the preview pictures that are supposed to show different screenshots of how the app looks. Idk who was in charge or what the purpose of this is at all but the screenshot shows someone who made about $450 by working 4 of the days throughout the week, but the number doesn’t match the bar graph directly under it which shows the driver did not make $100 or more on any day. Class Action LawsuitThere needs to be a class action lawsuit brought against this company for theft. Underpaying divers, violating their rights as contractors, retaliation against those who stand up for themselves, long distance runs for no increase in pay or tip guarantee, weekly bonuses are unobtainable and not even worth trying. No gas subsidies or even a minimum wage. Driver support is outsourced to India and worthless. It’s a cash grab at the expense of drivers and when drivers figure it out or complain, they are let go and the process is repeats with the new driver. It usually takes a year or so to understand how bad you’re being screwed. They always treat new drivers fairly but as time goes on start to treat them like crap. They pay no payroll taxes for drivers, no fleet to buy, no vehicle maintenance, no commercial insurance, no gas, yet they still don’t want to pass any of those profits along to the people bringing them in. MisleadingI applied for this app to earn extra money for essentials that I needed and whenever I did my application and I put in my stuff they did my background check and then they let me do one run and then cut me off completely, and then I was not allowed to do anything else I had did a delivery it was on actually Arrived early in good condition. I got a rating of a five star and they kept my money so I do not recommend any Gopuff app to anybody not even for pick up or delivery. Because there’s nobody to talk to there is no customer service and they have poor communication with clients and delivery drivers. Driver support lacksThe app doesn’t work properly it does not let me push the slider over to start my work day. I don’t need to hear about deleting the app or being close to the facility because I did all of that the simple solution would be to have a dedicated customer service helpline for the drivers as well as the customers or train everyone to handle these issues as well. Has its pros & cons. Lately mostly consAt first I really liked delivering for Gopuff. But lately it’s been very long waits to get a order and sometimes I wait a full hour and only get handed 1 delivery. Poor qualityI have been a driver for almost 2 years out of Boston! In those 2 years I have witnessed how fast the company has gone down hill. More than 20 people have come and gone from supervisors, shift leaders and packers. And it is always the drivers that get affected by this decisions. The system!Since I have been here they’ve added more and more drivers and there are not enough hours available for us all to get even just one six hour shift. FIND ANOTHER ON DEMAND JOBGoPuff has drastically changed over the years for drivers. While all other platforms are looking for ways to increase drivers’ pay, GoPuff constantly find ways to decrease how much drivers make. I went from making $800-$900/weekly between delivery blocks, bonuses, and other miscellaneous incentives but now driving the same hours I’m only averaging $300-$400/weekly (driving during peak times). GoPuff expects you to drive and be on your phone. If you do not accept the ride in their defined time table then it will reset your streak to zero. This mean regardless how many orders you have taken you will be immediately de-prioritized to the bottom of the queue and you will stay there until you get your streak back up. They force you to deliver far to queens when we are located in queens . Example I delivered 21 bags and the last 3 after my schedule was done were in queens and I said give it to another driver , they suspended me and took the schedule away from me so I’m unable to book now! Alcohol delivery revokedI noticed this past week I wasn’t getting any 21+ orders sent to me so I contact the number and they redirected me to the chat.
In the chat they escalated my issue which was pointless bc all they kept a saying is that I somehow “failed to adhere to their responsible delivery guidelines, goodbye”
I asked what did I fail to adhere and no one could answer this for me.
When I called for the 3rd time someone mentioned finally, after I kept pushing for an answer, that most drivers have a certificate to deliver alcohol and that may be it since I don’t have one bc this was NEVER brought to my attention in 8 months that I’ve been delivering with them.
I do not mind getting one of those. Not a big deal but please tell me if that’s the case so I can do so! I’m being treated like some kind of criminal with no explanation and no voice. This is beyond unethical and unprofessional.
I have the right to know what’s going on with my account and I deserve a chance for my side of the story to be hear.
It’s like they do not care about a thing I have to say and could care less to ease your worries. Like is it really so irrational to ask for an explanation?….

FrustratingI was shown a Santa Rosa, CA location as well as a Petaluma, CA location.
After experiencing intense incompetence from employees at the Santa Rosa BevMo go puff location, I drove all the way to the Petaluma location just to be told there is no Petaluma location? I wasted gas, money, and time traveling 30 minutes. Why have a location on the app if there is none in reality? Also why have GoPuff at BevMo if the BevMo employees are going to be rude, give delivery drivers dirty looks (I’m 7 months pregnant), as well as waste my time telling me the package should be in a designated bin, if it isn’t, then it’s not ready, have me wait an additional 45 minutes, then tell me “oh it’s been over there on the ground by the ice machine”. Told by employees to cancel the order, rude attitudes, and was told I wasn’t waiting 45 minutes or longer when 2 deliveries said I worked 2.90 hours!

It’s a trickWhen you first start, you’ll be approved for every hour you request. After two months, you will NOT be able to request hours because they won’t be approved. You can have a 100% acceptance, completion, and on-time delivery rate but you’ll never work another approved hour. I went from making a DECENT amount weekly (decent, not great), to making $80 a week with PERFECT METRICS. I bring up the metrics because they CLAIM the better the metrics, the better your chances are at getting hours. It’s a lie. I request up to 40 hours a week and don’t get approved for 1. Where do I start?After delivering for over a year I have complained about the low pay at least 2 dozen times $2.89 for 3 different deliveries 10 miles of driving “ one way” yet every time I’m told that they pay a fair wage. 10 miles for $3.04 California LAIn this app, they won’t let you earn more than $19-20 plus tips. All orders, each order from $3 to $5. And for $5, you might have to deliver 2 orders. They don’t leave tips, probably because the delivery prices are slightly higher than in the store. So, the only option left is to work for Uber or Dardasha. I think they are facing issues because they collaborate with Uber, as many orders are placed through Uber instead of the GoPuff app. So, perhaps it's worth changing the policy and simply opting out of their own delivery in favor of Uber. This way, they might avoid the negativity towards the company that drivers experience, as drivers often share their negative experiences with friends and family. The Worst Gig AppDo yourself a favor and stay as far away from this app as humanly possible it is the lowest paying gig app that I have ever used, and it has the least transparent pace structure that I have ever used as well. You will not know ahead of time whether any tip is being offered for your service at all. This will inevitably lead to you making somewhere between eight to $11 an hour for multiple hours of work, should you make the mistake of us of assuming that a reasonable tip will be included with the orders that you've accepted. Basically you're gambling on the Goodwill of the customers and this is a losing game. Where is My mommyI was introduced to this app from a coworker told me about it. DriverIt’s very disappointing to contact a support team that can’t support. It’s too often the team says they need to escalate… the simple truth it doesn’t get resolved as seen in the other comment regarding missing trips because of being on another platform. I love the idea to not race all over town then to the customer. But the app and their reduced compensation rate is also an issue. Gas is about $4 a gallon. Yet, I have had several trips under $5. Waist of TimeI signed up for Gopuff to see how it compared to the other apps that I’ve used for years. See if I could fill in any downtime. Sign up says you can drive while they approve your BG check. Not true. Got a message a few weeks later I was approved. There is a ridiculous hour long training. Skipped through completely and still passed the tests. Just common sense waist of time. Finally was bales to sign in and you have to be directly in front of the building. ReviewWhat I don’t like about it is you can never speak to anyone everything is through text they don’t give you reason for restricting you if you made a mistake or if something wasn’t your fault it’s not consistent with orders so you can’t make really good money and they don’t pay very well. DeliveryThe app make you put the customer information in manually instead of scanning when you have a tobacco or alcohol delivery. And then the app does not allow you to complete the drop off after you manually put in all that information. You still have to wait to call customer support to call the client back and verify the drop off. Which will then take about 5 to 10 minutes, which would then jeopardize you for your next delivery if you had one.
The app will tell you to drive to a better location with better signal to complete the drop off but even when you do drive to a better location with signal, nothing still doesn’t work

HIGHLY upsetHello, I am VERY upset right now. I received a “warning” email from you guys. This is the second “warning” email that I have received about me somehow “refusing” delivery offers when I haven’t been refusing any at all. Unfortunately, I do not recommend GoPuff. Especially, if you are doing it as an additional form of income. It adds unnecessary stress. I would suggest trying a different delivery service.
The customer service if horrible. I am still awaiting responses for issues 3 weeks later. I keep automated messages stating that I have open inquiries regarding the same issue. Well yes because I have not received a response.
There is no difference in pay and you don’t have to deal with hassle of IDs. Also you can make any mistakes. Even if you deliver the alcohol to the customer of the appropriate age and not showing visual intoxication, they will cancel your privileges.
With GoPuff you are going to the same facility to pick up your deliveries. The location of my facility has a door bell. There is a note saying to ring the doorbell once. This is because they take more than 5 minutes to get to the door. One day the bell was rung more than once and the site manager yelled and even threatened people. It was raining outside and the pickers were not busy. A report was filed and nothing was done. This same site manager has her boyfriend siting at the facility for hours. It is a very hostile environment at this location. Very awkward.
Also, after 10pm you will get the luxury of smelling weed. Which makes the wait time even longer. I’m not against it. Just don’t do it at work.
The idea of GoPuff is different. However, the personnel they hire are either lazy or angry. If you’re a professional, I don’t suggest GoPuff. You are not a human.
