The MYIO portal has been a life changer for those times Ive not been able to make the trip to be in person and has enabled me to stay connected and in therapy for the last three years. It is super easy to use if you don’t remember your password you can quickly get a link sent to your email and sign into your session or see what upcoming sessions you have as well as paperwork you may need to sign. Thanks to MYIO team for keeping running smoothly!
I like the app overall. Very easy to use, but I don’t think it’s very great to see the total amount of money I’ve spent in total. Maybe make its own tab without the total so you can still check it if you DO want to see the total. If the topic “finances” are a trigger, that could cause unnecessary stress. Like “I could have used that for something else, maybe I’ll stop paying for therapy” type thinking. Otherwise, the app is extremely helpful. I’ve only had trouble connecting once & I use it biweekly now. Used to be weekly.
I had a very easy time downloading and creating my profile. Easy peasy.. not sure why all the bad reviews but next month I will have my first appointment and if it goes badly I will edit my review but if it goes smoothly I will leave 5 star! Everyone who has a problem rates… always… but people who have no problem usually don’t rate keep that in mind….. good app useful easy to set up and sign in.
Great app very easy to use and a convenient way to have more of a personal one on one relationship with your provider then you get better treatment having them know you better you also can send for med refills, make appointments or let the doctor know how your feeling its just a great tool to have as a patient
My mom had called earlier today and set up an appointment with one of the doctors for my episodes so when I came home I called and she walked me through downloading the app, setting up my new account email, and now I am all set for my appointment on the 18th @ 9:30am thank you!

So far, I really like the app as far as being able to see my appointments and fill out my forms however, if the app was left open and you try and re-login it has some kind of glitch error so I have to close the app completely before I try and open and get a link
This app has been a tremendous asset to my betterment. Including my psychiatrist that has really walked me through my health path and aided me in ways I never thought or imagined possible. My life feels lighter now. And I feel anything is possible. So thank you doctors and staff of MYIO. You’re all the very best.
My therapist has been helping me more ways that I could every have dreamed about. Jonathan looks out for his patients, cares about them. I have been in therapy all my life and Jonathan is the best one that I have ever seen in my life. I will always see him
Intake was seamless. Makes therapy much easier. However, no modern app can recieve 5 stars in my book without a Dark Mode. App would be even better if there were a widget for upcoming appointments. App would be even better if it would integrate with Apple Health so I could share mental and physical health data directly with my therapist.
Very easy to use app, understandable, straight forward although can’t find where my prescriptions are or if that feature is in here that’s the not complaint if I had one
This app has been solid for therapy and storage of my clinical documents. Accessing this site has been a breeze. I appreciate the magic email link which makes it easier to login. Solid app.
I wasn’t thrilled that I had to setup one more app, but this was so easy to setup. There were quite a few questions to complete, but just getting the app setup was a breeze. It’s the best one that I have ever had to setup.
The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t easily schedule multiple appointments at once. The app is great for being able to schedule appointments. For being able to communicate with your therapist outside of session. Being able to sign forms.
I find it very convenient to be sent a link to my email in order to log into this behavioral health portal so I can see when my next telehealth appointment is scheduled. This app is also very easy to use.
Platform is not that easy to use and functions are hit or miss. It requires having to interface between the app and email which to me is an unnecessary complicating step.
I find using this portal is very easy and straightforward. I always worry because I usually have difficulty with most portals not working well. This is easy every time I need to use it.
MYIO Negative Reviews and Ratings
Apparently at least 1 star is mandatory… I’d give is 0 if I could… I’ve been prompted to download this app to use for an office I will be attending. I’ve only just downloaded it and it’s already the most infuriating app. There’s bugs within when making certain selections, limited buttons for me to move throughout the profile setup (which appears to be mandatory) and the app will now allow me to proceed through the payment screen. The add card details button daily to load, buffering infinitely and filling out other fields doesn’t suffice. It also won’t allow me to skip this item or the entire profile set up in general just so I can at least enter the app and access my profile. The app will not allow me to complete setup.. guess I’ll be deleting and requesting alternative communications from the office because this app is useless. The best part, upon accessing the website to attempt troubleshooting and viewing the FAQ - there was no info regarding my issue available and also no contact options available within the mobile browser so that I could reach out to an agent for troubleshooting and assistance. Real frustrating and utterly disappointing.
The MYIO app is a fine alternative behavioral health portal to the Client Portal app (I use both for different providers). It’s okay and easy enough to use, but there could be some improvements. My two main complaints are: • “Upcoming Appointments” only shows appointments for the current day. You need to press “View all” to see appointments that occur the next day and later. I’d like to see today, tomorrow, and the next day without having to press “View all”. If I have an appointment tomorrow and the Upcoming Appointments section says there are no appointments, it says there are no upcoming appointments. • I can never stay signed in. There is no “Remember me” option on sign in. The app logs you out after a short period of time and it’s irritating to have to log back in every single time. Thankfully you can use the same login link for 24 hours before you have to request a new one. I had been requesting a new email link every time I needed to sign on (multiple times a day). Another, but less irritating, complaint is that there are no notifications for receiving messages from providers (you have to check manually). I haven’t actually used this feature yet, but another reviewer mentioned it, so I thought I should pass that along (at least for Apple, the app doesn’t even ask for notification permissions). At least the user interface is cute and the colors are accessible. There’s no visual back button, but at least you can press the top right corner (where your provider is) to get back to the home page. Viewing past clinical forms is easy and making payments seems fairly intuitive as well. The app is okay for what it is, and is generally helpful.
I never had a issue with this app where something didn’t work as intended. Though that brings in things that really should work that aren’t built into the app. (1) when you leave the app the microphone should remain active or how can you check your calendar or task app to see when you can male another appointment. not well thought out app development. (2) The app needs settings were you can set your preferences of always keeping mic/camera ON vs default it starting off (3) when your in a session and you leave the app and come back it auto resets the mic and camera to OFF, no! this should not happen! (4) the quality of video is really poor and that hard to determine if its the app or the two users connection but worth a mention. outside of this, everything else works great
First time meeting via telehealth, I could see my provider but she could not see me, her screen froze and after reconnecting we were again frozen only using audio. Second appointment the app decided to make me sideways with no way for me to change my display. Can’t even login to the browser for MYIO to see if the camera and connection issues would work better there, it tells me wrong password and threatens to lock my account if I keep trying. This app doesn’t offer reminders for upcoming appointments which would be a nice feature. Doesn’t save your password or offer Face ID. The functionality need improvement in order to provide a means of connecting with a healthcare provider in a smooth, efficient manner. This is the least functional app I’ve experienced over several telehealth apps.
I’ve had a myriad of problems ever since I started using this app and have gotten very little improvement since then. I have things on my phone I want to access during my mental health session but I can’t access things like notes or other apps while talking in my telehealth session because it disengages the volume and the picture and my therapist cannot hear me. Very inconvenient. My picture blocks my view of my therapist so I’m always just seeing half nose and mouth and some of his forehead and one eye. Very unhelpful. I used to have a way to shrink my picture out of the way or off the screen entirely but now that function is not offered. This is the worst app I’ve ever experienced for medical. You can’t see after visit summaries. Scheduling appointments is awkward and not user-friendly.
Its just awful. i dont understand why medical offices use this app. to put it simple, its just useless. it has way too many glitches and zero usability. i sincerely doubt they do any testing and validation before releasing it as it is. its like a child created it. one star is far too much to rate this app as is. it only works with ONE browser. i imagine you can guess which one lol) and the app is only compatible with a very limited amount of devices.. ZERO USABILITY. A GREAT DEAL OF IMPROVEMENT IS NECESSARY. lol the developer doesnt even know about his own app not working. i wonder if they read all the reviews where people say how awful it is lol. just READ what users say about it. ia all true. developer: if you are unaware about all the glitching, errors, and disfunction of your “app” you are in the wrong business.
I started using this app because my therapist conducts remote therapy sessions through it. Unfortunately, the experience has been frustrating. The video frequently glitches, making sessions difficult, and the email link login process is inconvenient and unreliable. If added my insurance information and when I login for my therapy appointment it asked for credit card payment. When I went to where I added my information. All the photos of my insurance cards for gone. This happened a week after I updated. Who’s developing this app? Monkeys? This is horrible, I’m beyond frustrated. Every time I used the app or the site there’s an issue. I ended up leaving therapy because of the application.
This app needs a lot more testing. Echoing what others have said, it gets in the way of healthcare more than it enables it. I don’t know if the amount of regulation in the industry can be blamed for this, or something else, but the results are really disappointing. Most recent frustration: I open the app to join my telehealth appt, but am forced to download a software update for the telehealth SDK that makes me over half an hour late. My provider was willing to meet with me after that and to not bill me for a missed session—others might not be so lucky. As insult to injury, the camera was broken after the update. As a developer myself, I can imagine that it hurts to read all these frustrated reviews. But BRO, I don’t recall signing up to be your beta tester.
This app is a joke. It's like using a badly coded beta version of an app. Been attempting to use this for months now. Use another platform, this one is awful. Forced updates nearly every week -- it's worse than Windows -- and yet it's glitching all the time. Many times we have to switch to a different telehealth method last minute because it just shows the spinning wheel of death, patient and provider side. Now, it logged me out. First try to log in with my Face ID, forced closed the application -- no new updates to account for it. Second try, it freezes when I try logging in with my email and password. Third try, "error" messages when I try to use the "magic link.".
My only real problem is theres no way to turn notifications on with ios. Neither in the app or notification settings on the iphone. Really important if messaging my dr or staff Also if you dont use the app for a certain amount of time it doesnt let you use face recognition And, one more thing, sometimes when i open the app it asks me to accept new terms and conditions, when i hit accept nothing happens. After hitting accept multiple times i finally close and reopen the app and it goes away
Long story short—if my partner had not taken away my phone and explained to the county sheriff the difference between lifelong chronic suicidal ideation, which is very analytical and mechanistic and is a fun side rabbit hole of stats for an extremely late diagnosed autistic person but it freaks uninformed people the hell out and it has comforted her since childhood to always know there’s an off-ramp and Regular old impulsive neurotypical suicidal ideation that can be easily talked off a ledge. Using neurotypical social scripts on her will make her focus on the problem more when you try to minimize it—right now, all you are doing is offering lethal means to a person who just needs to be left the hell alone. My therapist almost got me killed—don’t tempt me with a lethal weapon delivery service who I can and will provoke to kill me after a long series of bad p-docs has gotten me here. My partner had to tell the cops ‘don’t tempt her right now—she’s fine!!’
This app messed up big. Not notifying me of charges then slamming me with a huge unexpected bill months later. DO NOT USE this app. It’s too risky. I started using it to see a provider about stress and this app has amplified my stress 1000% by being so cavalier and shotty with something as important as health and money. Find a different provider if you come across this app. It’s too risky. When I saw the bad reviews, I thought it was just in regard bad ui and ability to operate, which it totally has, but then suddenly I unexpectedly owe hundreds of dollars and my care is cut off. Complete madness.
If I could give this zero stars I would. It seems like whoever created this app was just trying to cash in on the tele health bandwagon and released it way too early without proper testing or coding. So many things are bugged. Such as: sometimes the camera doesn’t work and it’s basically a phone call with my provider, I can’t use my Bluetooth earphones as the mic and speaker, it rarely accepts my Face ID to log in and I have to reset my password to log in, crashes in the middle of appointment, logs off after I’ve checked into an appointment while waiting for my provider. I use iPhone XR
I hate this app. It’s glitchy & keeps throwing me out of my account, won’t let me sign in or handle it from my end, I have to call the doctor’s office to reset the password. It’s apparently not user-friendly for them either, because they can’t do anything from their end until I come into the office. Doesn’t matter that I’ve saved my password or enabled Face ID, it WILL keep locking me out of my account. Not even sure why the hyperlink offering to reset my password even exists. Or the facial recognition. Or pretty much any other button/link. Hate, hate, HATE this app!
The app does not work. The company does not work. Their website does not work. It fundamentally does not function. Upon opening the service, whether through browser or application it will not load and just presents a white screen. When trying to get ahold of the company on their contact page which says you can reach out to them for support so click here, the link just loops back to that page that says you can reach out for support by clicking here. ADVICE: IF YOUR PROVIDER USES THIS APP SWITCH PROVIDERS. IT ISN'T WORTH IT, AND YOU’LL LIKELY NEVER BE ABLE TO CONNECT TO TELEHEALTH OR ACCESS INFO
Unfortunately I can’t use the app to meet with my provider today. I had this same issue several months ago where when I open the app it shows a blank white screen. An update fixed it for a while. But now I’m getting that blank white screen problem after the last update. I’ve tried all kinds of troubleshooting steps and nothing helps. It’s so frustrating having to bring my work laptop home so I can use the webcam. Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to meet with my provider at all.
This app, more than any family issue or stressor that I have sought therapy to help remedy, has caused enough stress to make a bad situation worse. Currently when I open the app it shows a white screen of death, making cars impossible to access. My provider has no answers, other than “try another device,” and “oh dear, it’s doing that again.” Hello, programmers, this is not some gaming app. People’s lives are literally dependent on this appt working. Take your job seriously and fix it please. Providers, if you are looking for an app, steer clear of this one!
The last update absolutely made the app unusable. It white screens and doesn’t load at all, when trying to use it in the browser it tells my my password is wrong so I had to use another device. I ended up getting charged in full for not being able to make it to my appointment after troubleshooting for so long. Super frustrating, $125 dollars of my money because of this and the office couldn’t do anything about it but tell me to figure it out since this is the only way I can do my appointments.
What’s the point of an app where by you can only email “new patient portal” or “billing/insurance questions”? You can’t book an appointment, only see exisiting ones, and you can’t request or remind them that your medication is running out and you need a new script. You can’t message your Doctor. You can’t see your history. The billing doesn’t even update in real time, but it does still ask you several times if you doing fact, want to pay that bill… absolutely pointless app.
There’s almost no value to this app. It doesn’t make anything easier. It asks you for the same information constantly. It doesn’t offer automated field support that is standard with basically every other app or website these days. An example would be being able to select a date from a calendar or defaulting to a date including M/D/Y. These simple gaps make using the app feel super manual and disorganized. I do not review apps lol so when I do it’s bad.
I've only been using MYIO for about three weeks but there are so many weird things about it. my main problem is i cannot find a way to turn on notifications for the LIFE OF MEEEEE, and it's made me miss two therapy sessions because i genuinely need constant reminders. it's incredibly annoying and i also wish you could click on the upcoming appointments option to get further details. overall just really annoying and making me feel mentally worse that i keep slacking on sessions
I tried both the browser on my MacBook and the app on my iPad; both services are terrible. On the web browser, my therapist could no hear nor see on her end, but I could do both on my end. I left the session to rejoin, but the website was bugged and I couldn’t rejoin. So I reset my MacBook to rejoin. I could join the session again, but my therapist still could not hear or see me. I tried the app on my iPad but it wasn’t even made for that platform. The user interface is too small as if it is built only for phones. I joined the session and my camera was lopsided, not in link with the side my iPad was laying on. And on top of that, she still could not hear nor see me. This service has to be fixed. People in need of mental help depend on this service. This is very dangerous!
This app is frustratingly to use and I haven’t even finished setting up my account. The link to the user guide on the landing page doesn’t work and there aren’t any FAQ’s. I can’t finish setting up my account because the screen to enter credit card details will not load. I’ve confirmed that all systems and apps are updated on my end and have restarted several times.
…you squashed the bugs with this last update? I was just forced to take the update and now the app doesn’t work for me at all. I just get a blank white screen and nothing ever loads. I’ve checked for additional updates, restarted the app multiple times, restarted my phone, and deleted and then redownloaded the app. Super frustrating.
This is the most annoying thing. I can have NO password, and have the app send a link to my email in order to open it (NOT convenient), OR, I can choose a password- but there’s no auto save option for the password, and there’s no way to know the name of the portal, so my I can’t even trick my iPhone into saving it. So I have to save it in my notes. AGAIN, not convenient. What’s the deal with that?
Similar issues as everyone else. After lots of trouble shooting it seems to work only on a specific version of IOS software. I’ve tried to update prior to appointment and it will not so an update and then your login and it will ask you to update. The update results in a white screen. When reaching out to the company they advices to contact your doctor(um that’s what I’m trying to do) troubleshoot the app, but my doctor is not an IT specialist.
You’d think an app where telehealth is conducted would be coded for a tablet. But nope. It’s that annoying phone sided screen on my tablet making everything much too small to look at. It also doesn’t work well with ,y password manager or any password manager, which is “great” given my memory challenges. Not sure if they’re still supporting this but unless you’re on a computer, this app is annoying and frustrating.
I wish notifications were a thing. My children counselor scheduled appointments for them thinking I had received notification they were scheduled. I only found out since the counselor saw me. I also would like an easier way for me to see all my families appointments without logging in and out of each person’s information.
The one thing I need to be able to do with this app is schedule appointments. And yet every time I try to use the “request appointment” feature and fill out the drop-down menus and select everything, I consistently get a “Facility Uids must not be empty” error. I have logged in and out. I have tried every different appointment type. I filled out everything, not just what is required. I deleted the app and reinstalled. It did nothing.
This may be the worst app I’ve ever used and considering this is for medical purposes makes it even more frustrating. Worked for about one month but now only see a white blank screen no matter what I try including reinstalling app. Tried contacting app support and open a ticket and even their page is a blank white screen! Need this app to contact my son’s dr and do virtual appts so no idea what to do now..
My psychiatrist said this app is the best and fastest way to contact her, however, the app will not let me sign in AT ALL. it doesn’t send me a log in email when i try to sign in that way, and it gives me a server error when i try to sign in with my password. contact with my psychiatrist is extremely important. god forbid i have an emergency, i would not be able to directly contact her and this could be dangerous. FIX THIS.
Setting up the app for the first time, facial ID was selected. I didn’t have a password to log in. Worked successfully once but now every time I try to log in the facial ID recognition does not come up. I ask to reset the password and when I click the link provided in the email it tells me that the link has expired or been used. I can’t log in at all to check my appointments or pay my bills.
The app has been difficult for me to access from the get go. After setting up my account, I have had to reset my password more times than I can count, even JUST after resetting! Now, it won’t even open on my phone, just a blank white screen. This app is NOT user friendly and makes it especially hard for people with mental health issues to connect to their provider.
This app is horrible and I work in IT. The login face recognition stops working after a few days and when you try to sign in it doesn’t work and doesn’t send an email to get your password reset. It’s sad that so many people have the same problem and you still can’t fix it. Either hire a 3rd party to actually make the app work or get people who know what they are doing.
