Excellent App for my Bravia TVI recently switched from a Samsung TV to Sony Bravia 9, 85” TV, that was released a couple of months ago. I downloaded this app, not knowing what to expect. Needs Arrow Buttons and Select ButtonThis app works fine, but it’s very frustrating to only have the scroll pad, and not also have simple arrow buttons and center select, like the actual Sony remote does. The scroll pad can be too sensitive, and I keep scrolling back and forth past what I’m trying to select. And the scroll pad doesn’t always correlate to the functionality of some apps, like not being able to press and hold a select button for a list of options.

Horrible app and websiteI don’t think I’ve ever given a review on the App Store. But this app is so horrible. I need to give it a review. After buying a $2500 TV you would think it would be the best. I won’t even get into the TV being slow and responding I will talk about the app which I am reviewing here. It does not work! And then going to various Sony websites to try and login it’s nothing but frustrating! So many various platforms and they don’t seem to work well together. And the app won’t let me sign in. Needs overhaulDue to congested AP wireless location I’m having wireless connection issues with Sony’s newest Bravia Quad speakers.. it would be nice to have a feature to see realtime ‘health’ of wireless connection rather than simply to keep changing wireless channels group types then wait if things improve only to find out a speaker or two still struggling. Sony Bravia bar 9 cannot connect after updateI have a Sony Bravia 8 55 inch Oled TV(2024) and a Sony Bravia theater bar 9 with Sony RS5 rear speaker. I use this app to setup and connect them. Doesn’t work on same networkConfirmed that both devices are on the same network, subnet, have the same default gateway and DNS settings,and are pingable. No firewall or ip filtering and app and tv both configured to allow access and control. The app discovers the tv no problem. Still does not work - says it can’t connect to the same tv it discovered. Terrible ConnectivityI have a Sony Bravia 9 TV. I bought the hoping it would work seemlessly. Sounds great, if you can get it connected and keep it connected. The app is horrible, and setup takes a lot longer than it should because of it. On top of that it loses connection frequently and requires set up again. I would expect plug and play for the price.
