Upgrade appBetter controls need to be available from the app. Left/right balance and the ability to save your settings into quick selects. For example when you get to a noisy restaurant you could open the app and choose a saved setting that you had created previously in a similar situation.
I didn’t wear mine for a week and when I opened the app to turn the volume down it wanted name and password. I filled in the info and now it wants to run me through the setup procedure again. I’ve already done that, I just want to adjust the sound level.

Horrible appThe app is annoyingly bad and amateurish:
- You can't adjust the volume unless the app has Internet connectivity, such as on a long flight, driving in the country, in a power outage, in another country... The product manager should be fired for this.
- The app loses its brains about every two months and requires you to go through a 15-minute recalibration process in a quiet environment before you can change the volume on the hearing aids again.
- The app resets the volume and directional settings after each recharge.
- You can't create profiles for different settings (at home, in a restaurant, etc.).
- You can't see the "fine tuning" settings you've previously applied. It doesn't explain what those settings actually do for those of us who are more technically minded and want to learn more about what's working and what's not. Works great when its working but…I like this hearing aid when its working, however there are instances that you do have to set it up again. All of a sudden the app would log you out, and prompting you to start the setup again. And there are moments that the sharpness suddenly disappears that you end up reaching for your phone to adjust the volume or adjust the sharpness. I had this for a few years now, I like it due to its size and its quite inconspicuous once inserted in the ear. App refused to connect to preferred email accountThis app needs loads of work to better tweak the hearing aids and to better sign up and connect to begin with. Help signing up consists basically of telling you to wait on a reset password email or to sign up with a new account, which is what I had to do. The app should show battery levels but does not for the C10s. It relies instead on you listening for beeps when checking the levels. Voice control messed upWith this app on my phone voice recognition will NOT work. I consider that a major flaw and don’t understand why Sony can’t figure that out. It was relatively easy to initially set up the hearing aides. I can’t give a review of the sound quality yet. Initially it’s very tinny. I haven’t set up an appointment with the audiologist yet but plan to in hopes of fine tuning the sound. So disappointedI bought these a week ago and set up my account, downloaded the app and things rolled downhill from there. Can’t sign in to my account. Can’t get the hearing aids to pair even. I am going to return them and get my $1300 back. Sony, this is a HUGE failure on your part. Garbage app and hearing aidsThis app is terrible and signs you out every three months or so which makes you lose all of your settings including your hearing evaluation. It is mostly inaccessible if you use VoiceOver. Other reviews have mentioned those things. It will randomly get into this weird mode where the volume turns up and down every three seconds and there's nothing you can do to stop it. Great hearing aids with disappointing appThe Sony hearing aids perform very well. Very happy about that. But the app is a let-down. It is confusing (separate adjustment bars for “loudness” and “volume” - what’s the difference, as another reviewer pointed out?). The app often freezes up and then needs to be re-set. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell whether the adjustments are really being made on the aids or not. It’s a mess. Impossible to pair for hearing controlI purchased these because my hearing is diminished and I believe in Sony products. Unfortunately these are impossible to set up for automatic hearing adjustment. When you get logged out you can't control your hearing aidsWho in their right mind thought it was a good idea to create a system where being logged out means you can't adjust your volume?
I'm on a camping trip without service and when I open the app it wants me to authenticate again.

Great hearing aids, awful appThe app occasionally glitches, restarting usually means having to configure the hearing aids all over again. The battery level beeps don’t always work for some reason. You’re never sure if the volume/tone controls do anything. For $1k devices, there’s an expectation that the software should be pretty good, not just barely adequate. Sony, you need to do better.

App does not work on newer iPhoneI was sent a replacement set of hearing aids as one stopped working. Each hearing aid is registered to their database and tied to your name / email / user. Somehow their database will not allow for a changeout of hearing aids. Though we have worked with Sony over months, it is not possible to use the app to adjust the new hearing aids. Unpair-able !!!!!!!!!!Just spent 3 1/2 hours of my valuable life trying to pair these hearing aids to the app.
I followed the “help” directions to the tee, watched every video made my Sony and the rest of the world available out there and at the end this was one of the most frustrating experiences.
For $1300 I don’t think I’ll be keeping this things. Very upset because I won’t even get to experience the hype I felt when I order them
I purchased because the brand Sony meant something.
Going from Oticon to this is quite impossible to adjust.
