UDOT Road Conditions Customer Service

I’ve always been one to pull up the traffic cameras to scope the drive up the canyons or on my way to work. I always hated cycling through one camera at a time, forgetting which one I just clicked and spending way more time than I needed trying to pull them all up. This app makes it really easy to group cameras into collections, so I can instantly see the state of the canyons without having to navigate up each camera one by one. I have no reason to use the Traffic app at this point and this will be the new go to. Being able to add a camera as a widget to the Home Screen is also awesome.

This app is easy and quick to set up and use. You pick your custom selection of UDOT cameras to see. I created custom pages for each of the Cottonwood canyons. Now I can see the whole canyon in one glance! Very useful for making decisions about when to go up or down the canyon. TIP: keep hitting the “refresh map” button — the cameras don’t populate when you move the map around.

I’m happy to say that this app is very accurate. The cameras are delayed by around five minutes but other than that I have it set to my morning commute for work every day and I’ve been using it now for almost a week and it’s been fantastic to physically see the roads on my commute before I leave my house, and I am happy to support any local app developers in the state.

I just downloaded this app and added a couple of my routes, and I am completely blown away! This is what a traffic app should look like. I’m so happy to have just randomly come across it! UDOT’s recent update made their own app even worse than it was, but this… golden and shiny. Love it!!! Thank you so much, brilliant Developers!

UDOT changed their search criteria away from a map-based system. The change was horrible—took forever to find cameras along my route. This app not only allows me to click on a map-based camera, but choose all cameras just along my route and save them for future reference. Great app!

I use this app consistently being a snowplow driver it really makes our job easier being able to see where to dispatch trucks during the storm. Having the ability to combine cameras in to groups is very helpful! The Udot app that was just released is junk!

This is much better than the official Udot app. Being able to get a list of cameras on my commute is a very helpful look at road conditions and traffic. There are also cameras I look at to get an idea of ski conditions. This does it all. Thanks.

The UDOT app is a train wreck! It’s not user friendly at all and hard to navigate. I use this app daily and easy to use. I work for UDOT and many crews are using this app to help them with snow related events and traffic information. Job well done!

I like this app because you can select cameras by area. That allows you to immediately review cameras you choose in the area of interest rather than get on the UDOT site and have to zoom into the area of interest.

The way everything is set up on this app shows that it’s not the developer’s first rodeo. I live in Preston Idaho and visit my kids in the Kaysville region. I don’t go up the canyon without checking this app.

I am thrilled I found this app! So much better than the UDOT one which rarely works. I like the ability to save your favorite cameras so checking the roads is quicker and easier. Telling my whole family to switch to this app.

Very cool! Very good idea and well executed. I hate having to check each camera one at a time on the UDOT app. Your app solves this issue and allowing to create a collection of cameras is just awesome! Keep up the good work.

Love that I can set up custom camera groups for various aspects of my commute. As a camera app it is highly functional and incredibly useful!

I sure do like the New APP! Especially the way I can map a travel route and see the cameras before I leave!

Bring the old app back, the traffic incident on this new app is way worse and harder to get info

Currently not a fan of this app, on my last phone I had no issues and loved it. But now every time I click on anything it keeps asking me to get a pro subscription. As a wife of a snowplower I can’t check cameras for my husband. I don’t need the pro, I just want to look at the cameras quick and can’t even look at them. I have deleted and redownloaded several times. Not sure what to do.

FYI, you can setup a route with cameras, but then if you go to look at it later, it’s a premium feature. I’m fine with premium features, but you gotta tell people before they set it up, or they’ll get annoyed and leave 1 star reviews.

Do not use this service you can go to the government provided website or call 511 in your state and get the same information that they are trying to charge you for

The app opens to a zoom out of the USA and then you have to zoom into the state of Utah. If UDOT wants to use this app it needs to be replaced. You can’t look at traffic cameras, it is clunky to use for even traffic flow.

View once then block you until you pay a monthly fee. I would consider a one-time payment but monthly, no thanks

Might be okay if you want camera views for major areas but nothing for Vernal to Manila. Shows 3 cameras but none are available or working.

This app really isn’t useful to me to quickly see traffic conditions. Also, WHY IS IT MADE BY A COLORADO COMPANY???

Wolf creek cameras are out more than they are on. They are critical for travel
