Instant ECG - Mastery Of EKG Customer Service

Hello, I'm a paramedic is Santa Clara County with AMR. We are the contracted 911 provider and I've been practicing for over 15 years. I was so excited when I found this app. I love it!!! I use it everyday just to see if I can interpret the random rhythm. I didn't like that I had to pay for all the upgrades, but I can't stand pop ups. And it's a one time fee. That being said... I was wondering if you could include more case base study and include abnormalities and the etiology behind the rhythms we encounter in the field? Don't waste your time teaching us ACLS, we have to be certified every two years. All I'm looking for is to be able to look at a rhythm and not wait for the 12-lead to tell me what it is. Now I know VT, VF, Afib, SVT, Sinus Brady, Sinus Tach. What gets me is the different AV blocks and looking for ischemia in an area of the heart because of a odd slope on the tracing. I really want to become proficient in this art. I know for us in the field there isn't much we can do for the higher blocks. But not recognizing them can lead to some issues down the road. Anyways, I'm enjoying the app. Keep up the good work.

Concise, portable reference with helpful visuals. Also contains quizzes to help reinforce critical concepts. Perfect for practicing during downtime at work. I’ve been a nurse for over 20 years, but have recently switched to cardiology, so have needed to enrich my understanding of 12 leads beyond identifying basic ACLS rhythms, which this also is super helpful for.

I’ve really enjoyed using this app. I’ve been using it for several years and I use for a couple of reasons. Some times I use it as comparison to rhythms that I am trying to be sure that I’ve identified correctly. Other times I use it as practice just practicing identifying rhythms so that when those moments come and I have a patient with one of those rhythms that just shouldn’t be, then I can identify or at least know that it’s not anything it should be and immediately get the patient to the right person. So far it has not failed me yet!!!

I purchased this app and opened it up the other rhythms as well. It ended being a little less that $10. I think it’s worth it, I enjoy seeing and hearing the rhythms, some even have real world examples of EKGs. Between this app and my note cards I made to go with the rhythms, I feel confident in recognizing the ones that are on my certification test.

Current nursing student in my last semester studying under critical care and this app has been a nice study aide when I'm on the go. I'm able to read ECGs better each day. My only suggestion is more variety in the quizzes and maybe some different strips of the same rhythm to make it a little less convenient. Awesome app though, I'm very thankful for it!!

Outstanding app! This is trrrific-I love how when you get one wrong, it goes over it and tells you some teaching points and gives you a clinical example. I would highly recommend this application to anybody who needs to brush up, study, or learn ECG. Thanks.

In the middle of Paramedic School, wanted an app that would help me study Cardiology and Arrhythmias without having a big book to tote around. Got more than I expected from this app. Definitely helps to visualize arrhythmias and explain the causes. Keeps me from having to hound the instructor day and night and lets me test myself on the content.

I’m a paramedic student and like a lot of other student reviews I love the app. It’s convenient and the information is concise, just the facts. One thing I’d find helpful is if you included National Protocol treatments for the specific rhythm you’re looking at (shock, cardizem, adenosine etc) along with the dose. That would make this app even better than it already is

I’m an EMT trying to take ACLS soon and just expand my knowledge in general. This app has been super helpful in doing that while I’m on the go and can’t necessarily pull out all my books to study. Lots of good information here. Obviously not a replacement for a good cardiology textbook, but a great supplement on the go.

I'd love to give this 5 stars. The only drawback is the app closes every time I turn it to landscape on my iPhone. If an update would fix this. 5 stars all the way. The app is phenomenal. I'm utilizing it daily to help me get a greater understanding of rhythm interpretation. Great app for the beginner or advanced clinicians. A life saver for a student in paramedic school like myself.

This is a study app. It does not give ecg/ekg I bought this because of heart conditions so I can check my heart. I was upset when I wrote this. As a past EMT 1A in training for EMT 2 (got hurt on job) this is a great app. As a reference and teacher. I wish that it was available in my time.

It’s a fun and easy way to learn the basics of EKG’s, all on the comfort of your phone! I find myself doing it all the time with little bits of free time, whether that be waiting in a long line, in between sets at the gym, or any other free time! Thank you for the great resource.

I just started learning ecg and learning rhythms and this app has helped me way more then the modules my hospital assigned me to do to learn. I use this app anytime I get bored and continuously test myself. Absolutely recommend this to new ecg learners

This app helped me understand EKG in a way I never learned in all my school years . What I like the most is when I miss the heart rhythm it shows all the details of the heart rhythm so there's no way not to learn.

I’m a paramedic student and like most other medic students who have trouble reading the squiggly lines, I started looking for an ECG app and downloaded this one first and didn’t need any other app. I will DEFINITELY recommend this app to my fellow medic students!

I’ve used this throughout med school and into practice. Very helpful. Can use it as a quick review if I have trouble remembering criteria for a specific rhythm or I can use it in quiz mode to keep my skills sharp. Highly recommend this app.

So helpful, once you have the recognition then hone the why or the other way around or both! Whatever works best for you, this app has it all.

I’m a paramedic student and i downloaded this app to help me memorize rhythms. I like that it explains what it is and has test to help you learn. Ive used other stimulators that I found as websites but not any good apps until finding this one.

This app does a great job of giving the information needed for ECGs. I haven’t used the in app purchases though. The included material is well thought out and present in a clear and concise way. Great job guys! 👍

So far, it’s the best ECG app that I’ve found. I work at a very busy cardiac hospital and precept new nurses and nurses new to cardiac. This app helps me show and explain different rhythms to them. A picture is always worth a thousand words.

Being a paramedic working in chicago and south side of city this is an excellent fun app to learn or refresh memory in downtime definitely recommend add the 5$ content purchase its definitely worth it

It's a great app then it got stale, they never updated it. Then all of a sudden it got a major update and upgrade and it's been a great app ever since!! Quick easy tutorials and tests.

The app is great for beginners and the tests help with rhythm identification. The app serves as a good resources for basic ecg and rhythm knowledge. I would like to see more rhythm options to make the identification more difficult.

This is incredibly helpful starting out to learn 12 lead. In fact it still teaches me things and reminds me even now. Well worth the money...

I have the new Apple Watch and I thought this is to test heart rate I am not in any medical field it’s not what I thought it was it it refundable I can use so what can I do about it! I thought it work like the heat one on the watch sorry

So helpful! Exactly what I needed to get the basics down. My only compliant is that it makes me “register” ever time, rather than just recognizing that I’ve already registered. Still, overall, very pleased.

I use this in the OR when a rhythm looks odd. Having it on my phone is really helpful.

I try to brush up on ECGs as much as possible and this definitely helps me whether at the house or in between calls.

Love this app. I appreciate how actual real patient ecg's are shown instead of just computer generated. I will say it's a bit pricy but I guess the makers gotta earn a living some how. Awesome app!!!

The app overall works quite well. There are insufficient diagrams in covering the basics section. Showing labels and diagrams for the analysis process would be helpful. I am using this as a refresher for my skills and knowledge.

I used this app for a mock scenario today and it was fantastic! Also serves as a great review to keep the knowledge fresh.

I love this app! I have trouble interpreting rhythms-just can't get the hang of it. This is so helpful,you have no idea! Now,throw in simulations with treatments and it will be spectacular.

A near must for med students.

I’m disappointed as some rhythms such as SVT require an additional 4.99 payment on top of the 5.99. There’s a free ECG app that actually provides most key rhythms and it also syncs to Apple TV. For some reason I thought this app would provide more rhythms, thus making fees acceptable, vs. the free app. I was sadly mistaken. In fact, I don’t use this app at all. The free one is much better and the live views are identical to what you would see on an actual electrocardiograph (black background with green traces)

My cell phone company does not support Apple Watch. They use AT&T cell network but to get cell on my phone I have to have Verizon or AT&T which are more expensive. The programing on watch takes quite a bit of learning so I am hesitant to review watch. The fall feature needs some work. Did not know I fell. But when I clap hands it asks if I fell. The watch fact has too many different faces and they keep changing when I don’t want them to.

Nice idea but a failure in execution. The app crashes. Clearly not designed or coded by an experienced developer. Page traversal is a tedious chore; images do not enlarge and you can't read the text on them because the font is so small. Save your time and get a good book. This app is poorly written and not worth a dime. Oh, and if you try to provide freedback to the author, the app disappears!!! Pretty neat trick!! If I could, I would give zero stars.

I bought this to sync with my Apple Watch to give ECG readout on my watch. This app only gives examples of ECG and does not sync with my watch. Very disappointed and feel that this app is a waste of money. I would not recommend this app! Information given is free elsewhere on the web. I would give 0 stars if allowed. What a waste of time and money!

This is a great app for interpreting rhythms. Two things I only wish it had. Basic measurements for interpretation (PR interval, QRS, QT, RR), not just variable or normal. Also I can’t read the full clinical implications under certain rhythms like the heart blocks. Otherwise very helpful.

It would be helpful if every rhythm had a section for potential treatments such as “treating the underlying cause” for tachycardia or “Valsalva maneuver” for initial treatment for SVT prior to medication administration. I notice some rhythms have treatment explanations but many do not.

Worked once, can’t get app to initiate now when I put my finger on crown. Will keep trying... should work consistently. Just read reviews more carefully, pay for upgrades? Sure hope not. If so I’ll give this 0-1 star at this point.

When it did work I thought it was fairly good. One month later still is not functioning. Do NOT buy this App until they fix it. Apple not impressed that you allow this app to still be sold!

It crashes my iPod when I run rhythm strips. I didn't need most of the rest, so spent little time with it. Might be good for learning. Deleted.

Not a great app. It lacks alot of rythms especially 12 leads. If your a new EMT student or practicing BLS it's okay

This app was good prior to update now most of the functions are missing most of thier content. Don't waste 9$ on this junk until issued are resolved

You're 3G-S/3.0 compatible YET. WAS working great before I upgraded. Now when I load the program it just has a blank white screen and I need to start clicking around. Improve your software on 3.0 before this can be used at the point of care, which as an Anesthesia/Critical care trainee requires. Thanks.
