I’ve gotten emails with tracking numbers from companies I’ve ordered from then I open this app and they’re already in there. My USPS I have to actually manually enter the tracking number. I’ve even had packages show up in my app to be tracked before the company I ordered from has emailed me the shipping info/tracking number. As far as most of the bad reviews, I’ve motivated they’re mainly about facilities, customer service, drivers, not the actual app. Those reviews should be on the actual website or called into their customer service. I’ve never had an issue with ups. And if a package is delayed they let me know and people need to be more understanding that things can change. My delivery driver is always amazing and when ever we get packages always comes around the same time frame(their routes can change people different packages to different address everyday, you need to be more understanding). I would like to add that maybe in the near future UPS can add a feature where the day it goes out for delivery to the final destination(shipping address) you can let the customer know there’s “x” amount of stops before your package so we as customers can say “ok I’ll wait since it’s 2 stops away”, or “oh there’s 20 stops before I can run to the bank real quick” or “oh im in 5 stops let me run home to catch the package or so it’s not sitting out front for too long”. Info right there at your fingertips 24/7I am a product reviewer, so when I say I get a lot of packages delivered to me, I do mean a lot. They come from all over the world. It’s so good to be able to keep track of the ones that are shipped via UPS or shipped via USPS and are upgraded to UPS Ground with my UPS MyChoice Premium membership. I know when a company creates a label, when a package is received by the carrier, and when the package is in route to me. I get delivery dates and estimated times on that date. I also have the option to change the delivery and leave specific delivery instructions for the delivery driver. The app also lets me create a widget for my iPhone screen so that I have live updates on current shipments. This is a great app to use to track your packages that are incoming. As far as outgoing shipped packages, I don’t do a lot of shipping, but so far the shipping process has been seamless. I haven’t had any issues at all. The app will take the info you feed it and calculate a price for several different types of shipping service (ground, air, next day, parcel, etc.,), and then you pick your choice, your payment method if you don’t have a payment account, and print your label. Delivery concerns!I ordered my son a nice sturdy chair for his computer table and to sit in while playing games. I thought UPS suppose to take pictures of the package once it’s delivered. I looked into the app to see if I could see a picture however it states “if I want to see the picture!” I was under the impression to tap/click on that but nothing came up. I actually did it twice still nothing happened. My main concern was they didn’t take the picture to show it was in front my door and that could’ve been a disaster because my letter on my door is covered with Xmas decoration and it could’ve been delivered at the wrong apartment number but if I was able to see the picture I would’ve known that the driver delivered it at the correct door and someone could’ve stolen it but the driver would’ve been covered by displaying a picture for me to see. Thank goodness my son was home to get it. I hope this review reach the correct person so that this information can be displayed to that driver. Thanks again for the fast delivery but I usually have packages coming pretty often. Thank you for your services!

App needs more optionsYour app needs serious fixing. I’m signed up for UPS. My choice premium. Your website shows different information than your app. I had an item arriving but needed a signature so I tried to release my signature. So that I did not have to sign for it at the door. I have Parkinson’s disease and my husband is a disabled veteran. So it’s much easier that way. I could never do it on the app. I could only do it on the web. The problem is every time you open a link it automatically tries to open in the app. So I release my signature and it never showed anything regarding the fact that I finalize that. It should’ve updated in the comments. Under tracking. I have my package is set to auto switch from sure post to ground. In the tracking that will notify me about that. So if somebody releases their signature, it should be the same. Sitting here, worried that it didn’t work, but I finally got it to open in the website. And when logging in it shows me that the signature was released. If you’re going to have an app, then please make this available on there. It’s 2025. This should already have been implemented. Also have the time I’m not getting a text or email about my updates for my packages. I have all my notification set. There’s also no notification area for package delays. FedEx has one. I work for Apple and I’m highly disappointed with all the update updates to the app doing nothing. I am also going to say that half the time the delivery map does not show. BlundersThe app is convenient but the truck tracking is spotty and often unavailable. UPS in general can be problematic. I changed my delivery to a drop point less than a half mile from my home. It was scheduled to arrive at my home from 12-3pm. When I changed the drop point, the time changed to before 7pm. I changed the delivery spot bc I had to go to the store I changed it to at the end of the day anyway. The package did not arrive that day. Not only did it not arrive, but the drop point claims to be open until 10pm, when the actual store closes at 9pm. Even more ridiculous, I know for a fact that the route of the truck my package is/was on is extremely local, so getting my package to the new spot should not have been an issue. If the truck tracking had been functioning, I wouldn’t have had to go through any of this, as I would have gone to the truck and tipped the driver to get my package on the spot. I have done this before. I have interacted with the driver for years and he appreciates the tip. It is not an inconvenience for him at all and is an easy way for him to make a little extra money from me. I don’t know if this last blunder is the fault of UPS or the driver, but either way, it was a major inconvenience to me since it was very important that I received the package on time and there was absolutely no reason for it not showing up..TheDude112385Version: 10.13.1
Great appThe app itself is excellent for just about every feature it offers. Only minor complaint is when it shows a package is "almost there" just because the delivery truck is nearby. A driver's route might put them near your address several times per day before they finally deliver to your address, so until they can figure out a better way to truly know that your delivery is coming up soon, instead of just going by the drivers proximity to you, they should probably remove that feature.
As for all the negative reviews about UPS as a company, I don't understand how that makes the app bad by default. I suspect those reviewers had one single bad experience waiting for a package so they took out their frustration tenfold via an app review. I have been using UPS heavily for over 20 years and I had maybe 1 or 2 issues along the way, nothing serious enough to warrant more than an "oh well." I understand everyone's situation and expectations are different, but to publicly blast an entire company based on being unhappy about one transaction seems very petty and childish to me. Wonderful app for online shoppers!I have used this app for years and it is very helpful. It gives tracking updates as notifications, which is helpful in planning for a delivery so it isn’t sitting outside tempting a thief to grab it. If we are not going to be home when a delivery arrives, I can have a neighbor grab the package when the app alerts me it has arrived, as it gives real time updates! This entire company is superior to the other delivery company, including the app. I try to have everything shipped UPS if possible because sometimes Fed ex will hold packages up to a week if they don’t have a delivery close to our home. Living far from the city, it happens often. I have had to track down refrigerated medications and gifts that express shipping was paid for Christmas delivery with Fed Ex (and they were “somewhere at our local shipping facility but couldn’t be located, with the tracking number”). I have never had that issue with UPS, they deliver on time every time and sometimes EARLY. One package out of 3One package out of 5 was delivered to my apt door because number one it was a woman who had enough sense to know it would get walked off with if left outside of mailboxes on the counter where anybody coming or going living here or not could just pick it up and walk away with it ! Life sustaining materialI think all of the people putting themselves at risk,especially U.P.S drivers that make sure we have our life sustaining packages (like myself) on time and in a fashionable manner. They could have used an excuse and said “I m not going to work and taking the chance of getting Covid 19 because I have kids or I have a family etc. they just keep going as they normally would. I thank you all. They care about their customers and when I say they I don’t mean the CEO’s and the board members. I mean the everyday blue collar working man. Job EXTREMELY WELL DONE! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!! May God be with you all and your families during this madness. Remember it’s not Jersey strong or California strong it is called AMERICAN STRONG !!! Honest FeedbackLove the App especially when having to track a shipment that requires a signature. The only issue is when you are tracking the truck to deliver the items, we waited all evening. Then when it got past 8:30 pm and it was on our main road, ( which Fed Ex delivered an hour ago) the truck turned around and did not deliver our items. Then proceeded to list “severe weather or emergency situation “. This is not the first time. I would rather have an option where the driver was running late and was not able to deliver the products due to time constraints that was not under their control. ( I understand about not being able to effectively predict time)
Today, we received an alert from UPS, our signature required items will be here between 1:30-5:30pm, great I will be home. An hour later it was revised to 3:30-7:30pm. Now we will not be home. The items are time and temperature sensitive.
Other than that I love the app, just wished there is an alternative option for the driver to communicate why the items could not be delivered.

DowngradeThe new app is a downgrade in quality for my uses as it doesn’t offer the functionality of the older app, specifically the “Change Delivery to an Alternate Location” function. It is not available for review or modification. Instead, after spending a lot of time on the phone and then talking with tech support, the only solution was to log in to the web browser version to modify my Premium Membership Preferences. So more inconvenience is already built in to managing the account, especially as it was available before. Now, I have to manually click every item being sent to me and instead of having confidence that I can pick it up safely with signature release and conveniently at my neighborhood UPS Store location, I’m left to contend with missed deliveries that can result in theft and/or damage, if not just additional confusion as to where packages will be sent. A big miss for the new app. Please rectify this oversight or correct this error, UPS. Great tracking appI’ve only had this app for a couple weeks but it’s proven itself invaluable in that short time. I ordered several items from different online retailers and most of them use UPS as their go to shipping provider. The app helps you keep up with the tracking numbers of all your packages and you can check any one of them at any given time for progress or a rescheduled shipping date among other things. You can also assign nicknames to each tracking number so you know which order contains what items. It automatically uploads any tracking number to the app with all this info and you can set up delivery placement at your address or change a delivery to a pick up in a matter of seconds. My only complaint is it won’t delete tracking info of delivered packages. I’ve got the option turned on in the settings but it still keeps them in the list of tracking numbers for some reason. I’m sure I’ve left out several other options you have on this app that are very handy but these are the ones that stand out for me. Love UPS delivery, and auto tracking!I had gone through a difficult repair to husbands iPad. It had to be replaced, but only after receiving it back twice, and the second time they had replaced the battery, but had not taken off the Balastic Glass screen protector. So before sending back for the third time, I waited until the battery went dead! I knew the main circuit board had finally had it. It took about the entire month of August to receive the new replacement which was going to be an upgrade. This time I got it tracked by UPS and it was delivered a day before we expected it. This had been hard to believe but we were very happy to get our replacement and we can use a hot spot and tether the iPad to the iPhone so he can get his calls more easily because he carries it around the house, and he will be able to use it in the car while going to his medical appointments now. It was a great day when he had his own iPad again. Not accurate at all. They lie about everything.They want you waste your whole day on the phone and driving to different locations/hubs. It seems impossible to try and make logical factual sense of when and if a actual knock on your door and attempt to deliver, and have you sign for your package.
They give you multiple blocks of times to be at home to sign for your package, but then the block constantly change, and then they supposedly make an attempt at a block of time that they told you not to be there. He will talk to multiple people that barely speak English and know nothing about the process. You can even attempt to talk to managers and supervisors and they will lie to you. Also, you might as well just smash your head against the brick Wall or shoot yourself in the head and get the same feeling of dealing with UPS.
I did finally end up with dealing with three good people at the UPS hub/depot in Chantilly Virginia and did physically get my package off their truck there. Kaliyah ups businesses supervisor and Matt Lee at the UPS in Chantilly were very helpful and went way over and above to make sure I got my package..Mtnbikerva1Version: 9.12.1
Love the app except for….The app is so user friendly. I love the ability to see the approximate location of the driver in comparison to your delivery location! It makes it so much easier to know when your item is close to being delivered so you’re available if needed. No more porch pirates grabbing your goodies!
My only recommendation is adding an area to the delivery option for those who need, or would like the option, to put more specific instructions. For example, my delivery instructions on other apps are always “Please leave by the side door under the carport.” It’s actually the easiest location for drop offs since no one has to climb stairs, my items are “hidden” from foot or vehicle traffic, and it’s closer than my front door is. Clicking on “side door,” “porch,” or any other option remotely close has always confused people because the door isn’t that visible from the road.
Hopefully someone at UPS/the app designers take this into consideration and add this option to the app. Regardless, great job on everything else!.SunshineStateGirl93Version: 10.0.0
MISDELIVEREDThe building that I live in has 2 mailrooms. The delivery that I received today was at the incorrect mailroom. I live in a handicap apartment and my mailroom is across from my apartment. I was able to obtain package and spoke with the driver who had no name tag and inquired was he the driver of my delivery and he stated he was. I inquired as to why he failed to properly deliver my package to which he stated he didn’t know there was another mailroom. I then inquired as to why he didn’t notice that my apartment number is NOT listed on the mailboxes in the mailroom that he put my package in. He then gave me a dumbfounded look. I then inquired as to if he understood how to follow delivery instructions that I have provided to UPS and again another dumbfounded look. He then reached out and attempted to take my package from me and asked, “Is this your package” to which I responded it absolutely is however your failure to follow instructions could also have led to my package being stolen because again he FAILED to deliver to the mailroom.

App is great!I’ve used this app for a few years but for the past couple of days I haven’t been able to open the app. I can log in online just fine but the app just forces itself to close before anything loads. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I even looked at the app page to seek help before writing a review. Normally I have no issues and the app is very straight forward to use and has been reliable. But now I can’t open it and just thought I’d send a possible bug report. Thanks! Hopefully I’m the only person with this issue.

I received an email directly from the developers regarding the bug and they explained that it was an error with loading due to communication with the Facebook component in the app. So most likely was only an issue if you signed in using Facebook. Which I’m pretty sure I did. But the issue had been resolved shortly after I posted this, then shorty after that the developers responded to me. Honestly I let it go and wasn’t expecting a response. Where is my stuffWhile I understand weather delays, you don’t tell me what is going on. You say it is out for delivery then next thing I know it it back at your facility….no explanation. At least as of today you are saying it could be a weather delay, but it snowed over a week ago. Why are you just now saying weather delay???? My road has been plowed from the very beginning and so has my drive. There is plenty of room for your truck to pull in and turn around.
This is not acceptable. It would have been faster for me to come to your facility and pick it up myself. You have several deliveries of mine and I could get them all at once. I guarantee my truck could get to your facility. Am I frustrated YES!! You should have been straight with me from the start. Beware of False billingInstalled app only for tracking purchases of items ordered online. No shipping involved. Reasonable personal information was given to UPS. A few weeks later I received an email from UPS billing in the amount of $270 for shipping something from the east coast - that I am not responsible for.
I contacted UPS via phone and after a 45 minutes wait a very polite representative cleared up the false billing and informed me to change my password as it was compromised she said. She told me to change it. No one has access to my password or phone. I used Microsoft Authenticator with an insane password to change the password. A few weeks later I receive another bill from UPS billing and after a hour wait time on the phone THAT matter was cleared up. That’s it. NO MORE. I demanded on the phone and went online to delete any and all information that was given in order to use the app. Good luck, keep an eye on it and do not dismiss any charges thinking it has nothing to do with you. Tracking Number don’t open app and you can’t leave specific instructions for delivery personI received a UPS tracking number from Costco. When I click it, instead of going to the UPS app, it takes me to a page telling me I should sign up for that app. I already have an account there. So I have to copy the tracking number (not the link, which it usually tries to copy instead the actual tracking number characters), log into my UPS app, and paste it in the tracking number field. That works, but then when you click on the option to give instructions to the delivery driver, it makes you log into on the website. So I do that. Copy and paste the tracking number again. And then, the only options available for delivery instructions are in a dropdown, and none of the options are even close to what I need to explain to the delivery driver.
The app, the website, and the tracking numbers need a lot of work. On the plus side, the delivery drivers have always been very professional and friendly. 5 stars for that, but 1 star for the app/website/tracking interface..PablopaulVersion: 10.30.2
Being a designer I really do like to:Track my packages on the way to my shop but my neighborhood driver seems to stop delivering a couple of blocks away from me and the tracking on the truck is no longer able to see and the truck sits for a couple of hours. Then I am able to see the truck and my store supplies are delivered about 10 minutes before end of day... Now I’m stretching to believe that the driver controls the gps or has a way to disable it before his route is complete finished for the day... Sad UPS doesn’t use this as advertised.Have had a number of issues with deliveries that this app should have solved. I have a difficult driveway in the winter. UPS advised me to use the change my delivery function to deliver to another close address so my deliveries are safe. Deliveries are not made to the changed address, but are sent back to the distribution center. The changed address is on the main road the truck goes by on it’s way to my place. Talking to the drivers over the past couple of years, UPS’ system doesn’t send an alert to the driver to advise of the change. Drivers I’ve talked to admit they rarely access the portion of their tracking units that deal with the changes, because it is an extra step, and takes time, of which affects their efficiency ratings. This app would be great if used as intended, but internal workings of UPS defeats its purpose. Best insurance policy out there!!!Times used to be you would order something and the only thing to do after that was wait with excitement until you either got a knock on the door, or pulled into the driveway after work and saw that package sitting on the front porch!!!
Now, however, I used to worry so much about my package “disappearing “ before I got home, that it limited my shopping. I’ve been using UPS mobile for about 3-4 years now, and I’d fight to keep it. Your kept up to date on exactly where your package is and when it’s due to arrive. Have an emergency come up and know you won’t be able to be there on Rome? Contact UPS via the app and reschedule. Want your package left on your back porch instead of your front porch? Set your preference once and that’s where you’ll find it. Know that your package must be signed for or it will be returned? Have it delivered to a local pick up spot with extended hours and pick it up after work. I absolutely ADORE this app and wished I had this much control over EVERY aspect of my life! Unfortunate bad serviceVery unfortunate experience we arranged for $78 to have a pick up scheduled from a business out of state for overnight express air saver. USPS Dan charged us an additional $15 on top of that to actually pick it up.
The driver wants to have a label with them and they didn’t so the place of business called us and said they couldn’t take the envelope from them to send to us Because the driver didn’t have a label with them, which is why we set all of this up in the first place and paid extra to make sure the driver had a call tag. Not only that it took us being on the phone over four hours with USPS getting bounced around in an attempt to understand that in fact, everything that we set up was proper, which they said yes to.
Only to find out after all that money we spent someone had to eventually go and drop it off which created friction for our client.
I’m pretty shocked at the whole experience and very disappointed.

New Update is HorribleThe new update is a terrible UI. It’s so much harder to look at and find what you want since this new update. They advertise that one of the new features is enhanced tracking that allows you to see the approximate location of your package but then this tracking doesn’t show at all. I thought perhaps not all packages qualify for this feature but when I viewed this feature update again, it does not say ANYTHING about not all packages having this feature which tells me I should have it. This comes across as false advertising on UPS’s end. The only good thing out of this update is the app seems to be loading up faster than before. UPS used to be my go to shipping provider because they always did such a great job but between this and them prices gouging me going into the holidays, I have switched to FedEx. The app is great. Wish the service was tooThe app is wonderful. I only wish the UPS service was equally as good. I pay $40 bucks a year to have UPS My Choice Premium. This is supposed to upgrade any packages that are coming via “Sure Post”. Those packages travel partially thru UPS but then are delivered the last leg by USPS. If you select your settings to do so, they will automatically upgrade all of those packages. But UPS consistently has an issue following thru and delivering any of of these packages. It will even show on the app that it’s been upgraded and then get passed on to the post office. It’s extremely frustrating!! When you call to talk to someone about it, all they do it’s say “Sorry” and tell you someone will call you from the “operations” center within an hour. Of course, this never happen. 5 Star To 3 StarThis was a 5 star app. In past I could see all my tracking steps. Now UPS reminds me of USPS so 3 star, maybe 2.
I say this as last week I was away and needed to put a package to be delivered on a 6 day delay. That worked fine (but charged for it…ok, whatever). So now I had a package put on hold. It appeared UPS did that but the message was confusing for a host of reasons too many to write about. But entry stated package would be delivered Tuesday September 7 between 1:45 and 5:45. I had all alerts turned on in the app. Got zero alerts. No “Out for delivery” message in the tracking. 5:45 pm came and went. Finally around 8:30 tried calling the contact number. What a joke. Send you everywhere but to a real person and after 30 minutes of that tell you this call is over, goodbye.
Today I was going to drive to my local UPS customer service center as no update in the app. Got busy at work and decided I would go at 1:00 pm. At 12:15 pm the package actually arrived. Here it is 6:00 pm and the app still has no updates on the package. Still has message about it going to be delivered yesterday. And this is after I saw there was an update to the app (that I took). Latest and greatest didn’t resolve the message.
Never used UPS app before on a requested package delay. That actually worked but then it is like the system no longer knows the package exists. I will never use that service again hopefully. Pay to have the package delivered on another day and it doesn’t happen. At least a notification in the app would have given me confidence UPS knew where it was. Maybe there was a good reason for the delay? Who knows? Communication of delay is ok but dead silence is not!!! I expect this with USPS but have had higher expectations with UPS. Experience before on other deliveries was great, and the fact I got my package, I will use UPS again. Just hope they are not going backwards. Not very happyI had a notice that my parcel was to arrive on Friday, notice was submitted from ups on Thursday. So today is now Monday and still no parcel or update as to when it REALLY, will arrive. Poor delivery service and customer serviceWill neve deal with ups again and will show and tell retailers not to use ups my fight with ups has been going on since wed the 20th I sent the digital signature the next day as I pulled into my driveway the ups truck came past me I got out and waved at the driver cause they left a note on my front door watched them do another delivery down the road and watch them turn the other way so the phone calls began talked to a rep and was not getting any help so I asked for a supervisor and was told that my packages would be delivered that evening I waited from 330 to after 7pm and nothing came I called and went through the same scenario talked to rep no help talked to supervisor and promised packages next day again failed to deliver said attempt was made called again talked to a rep then went to supervisor again promised that they be there again I waited and no show called again went to supervisor and wouldn’t help and said next delivery would be on Tuesday day after holiday well ups decided that they would deliver on Saturday with no knowledge until a late message saying they were out for delivery argued with a rep about the whole signature thing again sayin they never got it and same happened again today sat 23 i did the whole signature thing again and packages were not dropped off again. UselessThese ups deliverers are useless. Absolutely useless. I ordered a parcel and I was not aware if the import fee so the first time I refused the order. I later called customer service, said that I could pay it, and they reschedule a delivery. The next day at 12:56, the person who was supposed to deliver it said that I refused the parcel. I was home from 12:00 to 13:15. They didn’t make an attempt to ring my appartement doorbell or anything. They proceed to reschedule it again after I called customer service AGAIN. I checked the application to see when my parcel would get here, if never said the time. I left my house to do some shopping I came back and checked the app, they said I refused my parcel. Again. When I wasn’t even here. When the customer isn’t here you leave a notice but these ups delivery people are so lazy that they refuse to do it correctly and just leave. I paid $43 dollars to get this order, and was told to pay a 25€ import fee, and they still haven’t brought me my package. Do not use UPS as their customer service is unhelpful. They’re either all « busy » or say the same repeated answer instead of giving you actual help to make you last longer on the line since you have to pay to call them. I spent 50€ in 3 days because of how long I was on the phone with them. Ridiculous. And now I have to wait until Monday so that these useless people can learn to do their job. My Choice has issuesI don’t think my choice is integrated real-time with their systems. I requested my package to be delivered at a later date. I saw they had leave with neighboor option, so I canceled the later delivery and opted to be delivered to my neighbor instead. Great! I got an email confirmation saying my package would be delivered the next day. Well, not really, UPS then attempted to deliver the package the next day but they didn’t actually follow the instructions and leave with the neighbor. I get a physical slip saying my package is going to be returned to the sender, but got an email saying it was going to be delivered the next day! Now I’m throughly confused. I decided to then choose to pick up the package at a local UPS store through the app. I submitted the request on the app and then 10 minutes later it said it was rejected and I could not pick it up at the location. Now I’m thinking… there’s literally nothing I can do. I used the chatbot and it basically said, go it the website, but the website and app didn’t have further information. That next morning, the app says, your request to pick up your package was confirmed and will be held for 5 business days. No where on the website or app says where to pick up the package!!!!!! I then call customer support and they have to tell me the address for pick up. It was not at the original location I selected. Don’t trust UPS with your packages….I am beyond enraged at UPS for the way they handled my package. I received my package with numerous large holes and tears in it where you could see the items inside, and the people shipping the box didn’t even take the time to repair it, and I have to move on knowing justice will never come to these lazy workers who can’t do their job correctly and with consideration for the people who need them shipped. I have called UPS numerous times with no answer, so the customer service is non existent. The person who shipped the package took a terrible photo that was pixelated and sideways where you could barely make out that there’s a box sitting up against a garage, and it looked as if the shipper was in a hurry and took the photo while driving. I have now lost a 2 TB Xbox hard drive that had ALL my games and progress on it, all my university documents, my AirPod Pros, and numerous items inside were damaged or destroyed and shattered into pieces. Just another instance of a large corporate getting away with wrongdoing and because they have so much money and are such a large company I imagine they could care less about me or my items, and they have made it as hard as possible to get your money back for the items lost. Of course if you want to get ALL your money back you have to pay more, a perfect example of corporate greed at its finest. No choices and delivery timesI was not available for the first delivery it apparently a signature required with no other options so I wasn’t home the second delivery attempt was this morning nothing said what time they may be coming or not I was sitting in the house never heard anyone knock and missed it again now I called and was told someone would call me within an hour to see if they could make another attempt today it’s been an hour and 40 minutes with no phone call. It’s my day off and I don’t know whether they’re going to try and deliver or not again sitting wasting my time

Just about uselessThis app is pretty much only good for tracking packages which should be possible without an app accept for the fact that UPS's "service" has turned to junk. Delivery is rarely done without issues (late, etc.). This app is pretty much useless in fixing those problems. What little can be done to fix delivery issues with this app are now services that UPS CHARGES FOR (i.e. changing delivery date or to pick up at facility/ UPS store). I recently used the app to change delivery date of a signature-required package to a WEEK later and was charged 10 bucks to do so. That was the only option the app showed available. UPS "confirmed" that my delivery date was updated, I stayed home the day that tracking showed my package would arrive only to be notified at 6:00 PM that my package would be delivered the next day. The only option the app gave me was to AGAIN pay 10 dollars to change the delivery date. What a waste of time. I had to call and spend more time with customer service to change the package to be picked up at the nearest UPS facility. All of that, by the way, was after paying 30 dollars to "upgrade" to UPS shipping. This will be the last time I have anything shipped through UPS when I have an option. Multiple package not deliveredI have had 2 package about to be 3 packages that were sent back to the sender because the ups driver said the address was either incorrect or was missing a number. But each time I would get a notification saying my address couldn’t be found I would call and speak with someone who would do the bare minimum and say someone will call you back in an hour and the majority of the time I wouldn’t get a phone call. My package which was always paid to be delivered next day would get sent back to the sender which would then take another 3 or 4 days before it gets mailed back out to me and usually after it gets sent back to ups to deliver somehow the driver magically can find my address. I don’t understand how every other delivery service can find my address with no issues but ups can’t find it. I have called to ask to speak with someone other than the people who answer the phones of customer service of which I get none. But they always tell me there is no one who can help me. Useless app.I have two packages that were scheduled to be delivered today. Both are coming from the same sort terminal. One has not been updated from said sort terminal, and says it will be delivered today. The other has been updated to the next sort terminal in my state, and the app says due to the weather the shipment has been delayed, but they have no idea when it will arrive. Two packages coming to the same destination with different information...wait a minute.....is the USPS app.....? As is common these days, companies race to beat the competition with high tech information apps without having the technology to deliver timely info, or none at all. Most of it comes down to scanning a label and computing an algorithm and yet they cannot get it right. I know we pay enough to ship packages, smh....... why even have an app when you cannot
accurately update it? One of the packages ( the one that still says it will be delivered today) is signature required. So I tried using the app to change the delivery instructions to pre sign for it.....yea you guessed it...I couldn’t. I then used the email link to pre sign.....yea, received a message that they were having technical difficulties and to try back later....of which I have been trying to do for the last two days to no avail! Terrible. Can’t communicate with an actual human.My item was supposed to arrive yesterday afternoon. I went on the UPS app to track my item in real time and this is where it gets unacceptable.
The item was “Out for Delivery” at 10:43am and I began following the delivery on the app at 1pm. From 1pm to 9pm the truck that had my item on it was in my neighborhood the ENTIRE DAY, but never stopped by my location to deliver my item. The truck just drove around my area for HOURS, even passing my house at least 5 times without a drop off. I watched this truck on the app all day due to the importance of the item. I can’t believe this is how USP treats its customers, and when I tried to contact an actual human being in regards to this matter, I kept getting referred to the bot on the app, which was useless.
I can’t stress enough how important it was to receive this item, but the lack of care and respect for their customers has left me extremely upset. I’ll be finding a way to speak to an actual person in the morning, but this situation is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. What a terrible way to treat your customers while the driver did practically nothing all day. (Just check your records, UPS. This driver did absolutely nothing all day.) App is just as slow as the companyI don’t know if it’s the app or the drivers. My tracking doesn’t update for days and then all the sudden a bunch of scans show up at once. It seems like I never know where my packages ACTUALLY are. Then whatever the original delivery date is, it always seems to get pushed back. Whenever they give me a date, I always just assume it’ll be a couple days later than that. Whenever I see a company has used UPS to ship me something, I’m immediately disappointed. At this point, the post office is more reliable.
Also running into the problem where it changes my preferences on its own. I have ALWAYS had all delivery apps set to text messages for every single update imaginable. I have 3 packages I’m waiting on currently (2 of which have already had their delivery dates pushed back). One is “supposed” to be delivered today but under the manage section, it says nothing is scheduled to deliver today! I guess one tab on the app is realistic and one tab spouts out lies that gets your hopes up. Anyway, I wanted to make sure I got a text notification when (if) it arrives since drivers out here don’t knock or let you know they put something on your porch. The app is only useful if the data it gets is accurateI mostly use the app to track packages I am receiving, and it does a decent job of that and seems to reflect the data in the UPS system. It even has a cute little truck on the delivery map. But here’s the problem, too often I’ve been told by the app that a delivery is coming “today,” complete with the cute little truck and map, and then I watch on the app and from my window as the truck drives by, only to subsequently get another notification from the app that delivery was rescheduled to the next day. Huh? I don’t think the driver forgets to deliver to me, I think the package never gets loaded on the truck even though the app says it was. I’ve had this happen enough that I don’t trust the app much any more. And when I then need help, all I can find in the app is a virtual automated chat assistant with canned answers I’ve already tried. Want to call customer service for help? Good luck, there is no customer service number, only the virtual automated chat assistant. I finally figured out that if I ask my question and didn’t accept any of the canned answers AND asked to talk to a customer service human, then I did get an 800 number for customer service, but the app didn’t provide it willingly..DrAlAlDrVersion: 10.15.1
Won’t deliver packagesUPS, thinking they were doing us a favor, decided to deliver a SurePost item themselves a day early instead of handing it over to the post office. We weren’t going to be home and our mail was on hold. We scrambled to upgrade the package so we could control the UPS delivery. We sent it to an access point, but that delayed the delivery by another business day until we actually were home. They then had a sorting problem and failed to deliver the package. We wanted to change it back to home delivery, but the app failed when we tried to do that. They went on to try to take it to the access point, but the access point refused the delivery twice, even though we showed up there twice trying to collect it after the app said it was ready for pickup. They then went on to return the package to sender claiming that the delivery was refused, but we didn’t refuse it at all. During this same period of 2-3 days, we called customer service and were lied to by 5 different agents at different times of the day. Some said it was coming to our house later that day, others said that we would have more options if we called back later, and two others were going to connect me to a supervisor. All of those were lies and one of the connections to a supervisor even hung up. By the time we did finally reach a supervisor, he wouldn’t have an answer for us until the next afternoon, but it was already being returned to the sender by then. Total failure UPS service and total failure UPS app!
Another problem with the app is that if you inadvertently remove an item from the list, you can’t put it back on the list. You can still track the item but you have to renter the tracking number each time you want to check it. Terrible for an app!.Px374692Version: 10.9.0
HorribleI’m trying to change delivery instructions, but everytime I try to log into UPS My Choice (which I think there is no point to have anyway) it takes me back to the home page where I input my tracking number, which then tells me to log in again even though I have already logged in. The app and the website keep me going in circles when all I want to do is log into UPS My Choice, input my tracking number, and change the delivery instructions so I don’t risk having my expensive package stolen while I’m away for on vacation a couple days. I cant log in, it just sends me back to the home page where it asks me to log in again, then it sends me to the app, then the app gives me no option to log into my UPS My Choice account and only gives me the option to sign up, and it goes on and on and on. It’s absolutely ridiculous, I’ve been trying to do this simple thing that I can do on other shipping websites in less than 5 minutes.
Update: after almost an hour of trying to figure it out, I managed to log into my account and got to change the delivery instructions to rear door, just to find out that they left my package at the front door instead. thankfully my dad decided to drive an hour back home to get some stuff or else my package would’ve been stolen. ridiculous..Lildancer1313Version: 9.4.2
Customer Service/Package Delivery OptionsWhen I called and spoke with a representative on October 10, 2025 when I missed my delivery because it requires a signature, why didn’t she say it would be also delivered the next day, October 11, 2025 SATURDAY! Instead she said I would have to wait 24 hrs to submit a request to have my package delivery service rearranged to pick up at a UPS location. She kept saying the next delivery day is Monday, October 13, 2025. Well I missed it again today because I thought the next delivery was Monday. Now I have take off work but I could have received today if she would have simply said I have another opportunity. FEDEX makes life so much easier. You know if you have a “signature required” package scheduled you can leave a personal signed note on your door with the tracking #, delivery address and tell them I give them permission to leave the package. Guess what they do. I just did it on Friday. I can’t even change delivery options for this package - it will only let me leave with neighbor or return to sender. Why just why are all the other options grayed out?????? Like why can’t I arranged to have it picked up. Is it physically sitting on the truck???? Truly dissatisfied!I thought going digital would make life easier. So, I decide to download this app to facilitate my shipping needs. I was proven wrong. Seems that UPS failed to notify people that their service is still less than digital. Even though your credit card is on file, you still have to manually select how you charge a shipment to your account. It is not automatically billed to your credit card; instead, It’s manually billed to your account, and if you don’t manually, pay on time, that opens them up to charging you past due fees. In my case, they claim I failed to pay for a $45 shipment 5 months ago, which unknown to me went into collection even after I tried to head this off a month and a half ago — having lost an afternoon (3h 45m) on the phone bouncing between 9 calls and three departments trying to correct the problem. Then, I arranged to pay the original fee and was told that they would resolve the overage, only now to receive a letter claiming I’ve been referred to collections for (what they claim is the full amount) $85 — the original shipping plus $40 in past due fees.
I’d think twice about downloading this app, and relying upon a company that has obviously gotten too large to care for people. I’m deleting this app, and killing my account. There are other services out there on which we can rely (FedEx, DHL, USPS). UPS seems to have become too complacent promoting what should be cutting edge tech, while still holding on to extinct accounting practices, and worst of all, neglecting consumers.

What Driver “Judgement “Please, UPS can your drivers use common sense. On the FIRST delivery attempt, the Driver left my door (with a sticker) and delivered my package to an alternate pick up location without my knowledge or request because I wasn’t home. As a result this caused a hardship for me. I was told by Customer Service it was up to the driver’s discretion and judgement. So he left a Disabled/Senior low income apartment complex where most of us do NOT have cars or drive, and locked up my package at an authorized pick up location !!!! Why not just redeliver it to my home the next business day??? When I called about the issue all Customer Service could say was go pick it up! Well none of us drive, which is why we order and have it shipped to us!!! Also. Please do not bullsheet your customers. I was told that my package would be redelivered to my home in two days time. Impossible, because the next day I called the order had not even processed. That Customer Setvice rep again told me it would come the next day. I asked what about the escalation I was told to do. I had to make an effort for him to actually escalate it to the local office so they would see it after he gave me the brush off again trying to dismiss me by saying it would be there tomorrow when it wouldn’t have been. Both Customer Service reps tried to brush me off with a quick, “ it will be there tomorrow “, and get me off the phone and dismiss me. I had to keep asking questions and push to find out that it really wouldn’t have been there tomorrow in any event and to get them to do anything about it! Very poor customer service! Still no update on adding a “lock box” option for deliveries?
There is one big update that would be helpful and this would be for the app and the website. If you have UPS My Choice you can choose where your package will be left. You’re given multiple options but a lot of newer communities like mine use a smart locker for packages. My communities smart locker is controlled by this website - (www) ParcelPending (dot com) This is an electronic mail package locker where the user puts in a PIN number to open the locker. This PIN number is emailed to the user whenever something is delivered from UPS, FedEx, etc. There is no option to select a smart locker on the UPS app or website. This means I need important or expensive packages to be re-delivered which is a pain (my front office doesn’t accept packages) or manually pickup which defeats the delivery service. Please give customers this option, I don’t need to sign for a package if it’s placed in the smart locker. The smart locker is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so it doesn’t matter what time the UPS driver shows up for delivery. Awful awful awful customer serviceSince when did Customer Service become so horrifyingly bad? I ordered shoes from Nike 12 days ago and every time I check on their app it says waiting for carrier pick up. When I check the tracking number on UPS it says label has been created. However no additional information has been available for the last seven or eight days. Today I called Nike and they’re telling me that the package has been shipped and they have no further information, and I need to talk with UPS. I call UPS and their ridiculous automated system keeps putting me through this frustrating loop of “provide me your tracking information before I can connect you to someone”. If I don’t, I keep getting asked the same question over and over and over again. When I provide the number, then it tells me there is a problem with your order and start a claim on the app and our representatives are unable to assist you.” What problem??? Why can’t I speak with somebody that can tell me what’s going on? Sending customers on this wild goose chase because UPS can’t be bothered to have somebody answer the phone is reprehensible. UPS is awful and so is this app.The company is terrible. I’ve had multiple drivers steal packages on camera and filing claims is frustrating to the point you just give up. Some drivers are good and handle with care. Most just throw your package from the open door of the truck. Almost all of them ignore delivery instructions. I have all settings to say my office location and reception closes at 5pm and I’ll get notifications at 10pm that there was nobody available to accept and they’ll try again tomorrow. Will go back and forth like that trying to deliver after hours for a week before they finally come on time! They’ll waste that time and cost but they’ll charge me a fee to pickup at one of their facilities to avoid that. Packages arrive with damages all the time or just get lost in transit. They don’t integrate well with third-party tracking systems. If you’re going to force the use of your app, make sure it’s not hot garbage before you do so. I get notifications that items were delivered when they never were or hours late after it has sat on doorstep. Delivery updates just show “today by 9pm” but allow you to see live tracking of the truck all day. Why? Without seeing route or accurate estimates on when it gets to you, you could just watch it go to every neighborhood around you all day. It’s pointless. The app and web interface are way too clunky. Too many clicks and pages to handle simple tasks. UPS Store integration is worthless and never works and when it does it’s just useless data. Business support is even worse. This app just doesn’t serve any useful purpose over the website (which is also just as bad). Email updates will tell me one thing and this app tells me another. Delivery dates change all the time. Always reschedules packagesI gave UPS the benefit of the doubt since I 100% understand many delays are out of the driver’s control. I also don’t like giving bad reviews. However, this is my last straw. I have watched several UPS drivers drive past my apartment making no attempt to deliver my package now. I will be waiting for packages because I work from home and then get an email saying “Sorry we missed you” as they drive off. This has happened way too many times now and I’m sick of it. Every package that was sent by UPS ALWAYS gets rescheduled and I end up having to wait days and then pick it up at a UPS pick up point. At this point, they should have all packages dropped off at the pick up point to save people the frustration and disappointment. Or just order from vendors that doesn’t deliver through UPS. I never have any problems with USPS or FedEx. The cherry on top is this app, which a complete waste of time. I would give it zero stars if I could. The “MyChoice” doesn’t work at all and the “virtual assistant” chat is automatically generated and does not help solve my problem at all. Horrible user experience overall. Well I changed it to the desired access location without attempt to deliver to house, and guess where the package ended up. It’s now sitting on my front steps vulnerable to theft and the cold winter weather.

Poor user face and notificationsThe app is poorly designed , it takes multiple clicks to get the information you need and even then it doesn’t show all of it. For example , I can’t change my delivery address but don’t know why unless I go to the website. UPS pushes the app but it barely gives you what you need.
I asked for notifications to be sent but never got them. Specifically I had asked for notifications when my package was delivered. Never got those and only knew when I checked the app.

Can’t set my actual addressI live in a rural subdivision. I have a central mail box location that I pickup my mail from via Canada Post. I also have a physical “Blue Sign” address in Alberta that allows Couriers to deliver packages to my front door. FedEx is a prime example of this, they have delivered many packages to my house. UPS has consistently held my packages at a location that is an hour away from my, and without even notifying me that they are doing so will hold the package for a few days until they are required to return it to the sender. I have tried to at least send it to a local depot 7min away that I can go pick it up but they refuse. Chaque fois que je contact la service à la clientèle il a me rassurent que le colis va être livré le lqndemains mais …. Je suis toujours sans ma comande. Je fait des commandes avec les autre fournisseurs: Amazon, Purolator, DHL, Nationex ect et je n’ai jamais eu des difficultés. Les chaudières sont formé adéquatement chez les autre scompagnies et arriver à livrer les colis alors que chez UPS sans instructions que je ne sais pas lesquels car même la service aka clientèle n’est pas capable de le confirmer je reste 4 jours sans livraison.
