Skeleton System Pro III App Comments & Reviews

Skeleton System Pro III Positive Reviews

Almost PerfectThis app is invaluable for students of osteology and anatomy. The new update adds some great new features such as video, pen tool, and more quiz options. My one complaint involves the videos of tarsals and carpals. These spin so fast that they make me motion sick trying to study these intricate bones. Please Please Please slow these down and allow the user to manipulate them. The other videos are great but these really need to be fixed to be useful. I would also love to see stats for the quizzes and perhaps a time-ddelay based algorithim that many flashcard programs (Anki, etc) employ. Otherwise highly recommended.Version: 3.0

Great Program!I truly like this program. It's the best I have came across. I had to add some names of bones areas that we're missing and it had a stick pin to do that. It has helped me learn the bones quicker and I test myself daily. No internet need to operate the app. :-) Great!.Version: 3.8

Fabulous!I use this, Muscle System 3 & Essential Anatomy 5 all the time. Each is useful and the company is doing a pretty good job of fixing their labeling mistakes (which are few). The animations and I/O maps on Muscle System 3 are very useful..Version: 3.8

Hands down The BESTThe details and precision of this app is perfection, get the free demo.....try it out after using it with in minutes you will buy it, guaranteed! Every medical student should have this app.Version: 3.8

Most helpfulMost helpful in undergrad and will help in grad school.Version: 3.8

Great Study ToolThis is helping me get thru Anatomy!.Version: 3.8

Worth it.Anatomical essential. Brilliant for reference..Version: 3.8

Why med students should own an iPad...This is the reason every student of the health sciences should own an iPad! I am presently studying anatomy for medical school, and this app is absolutely amazing! Without any other competition in terms of quality, clarity, and usefulness of the material, as this app stands alone! I have had the pleasure of using this for my studies, and I recently downloaded the Muscle System as well, and both are absolutely incredible. I have tried half a dozen other anatomy study apps, and I have since uninstalled all of them. I look forward to downloading all of the apps from 3D4Medical, they are outstanding! Customizable pins and the ability to edit what pins are displayed make studying specific parts and functions so much easier. Media tabs on many of the pins allow for demonstrations of motion that each bone and muscle are capable of, and adding personal notes let me customize my notes to include the mnemonic devices that I use to help me remember things. If you are debating about purchasing an iPad for school, buy one. If you have the iPad and you are dealing with anatomy on a regular basis, you should get this app, and any other by this company that are relevant to you. A MUST HAVE FOR STUDENTS OF ANATOMY!.Version: 3.0

One of the Best Medical Learning ToolsI purchased this app to aid me in studying for a lab practical in Human Anatamy & Physiology. This is one of the best learning tools for anatamy I have come across. I don't think I would have learned as much as I did from simply looking at figues in books or images online. I found the built-in quiz feature to be extremely helpful. After studying a region of the skeletal system, I would quiz myself to see how much I had learned and what I still needed to work on. The dfferent views/features allow interactive learning and total access to the skeletal system. Simply put, this app is...awesome. If you are a medical student (or on that track) or a medical professional, the apps from 3D Medical are a must-have!.Version: 2

Fabulus app and fabulus customer service! This app is perfect for people who don't want to buy a life-size model skeleton and who don't want to go into the lab on the weekends to figure out which hole is the foramen rotundum and which hole is the foramen spinosum. Also, this app takes up way less room in your home than a model skeleton. No matter how detailed your professor requires you to be, this program will exceed that requirement in it's own level of detail. Also, it's really fun to play with. I know 40 bucks is a lot for an ap but it's totally worth every penny. I had some questions about the program and both Niall and Sergey provided excellent customer service. I was really impressed with their professionalism and willingness to help..Version: 2.2

Awesome....Except:(I love this app! It helped tremendously when i was still in school. My only major issue is you are not able to separate the bones individually. They are always connected to the adjoining bone. I would love to be able to pull out, let's say, the humerus and see it individually without any other bones. A minor issue is it is missing some key pins when it comes to some of the bone structures. But all in all this is a wonderful app and would, and have, recommended it to anyone needing to know the skeletal system!.Version: 3.3

Fantastic way to learn the skeletal structureI LOVE THIS APP! The quiz is very helpful in learning the various parts and features of each bone and region. I do wish they had a cross section for the interior bones in the skull. I emailed the developer, not only did he respond quickly, he said they liked the suggestion and would look to add that in a future release. Very classy app. I am in nursing school and had 3 weeks to learn the entire skeleton and this app is so helpful, interactive and fun. Added bonus: it was half the price of detailed flashcards from a local bookstore. -Aaron.Version: 0

Great app! This is a great app! There customer service is great too, before i bought it I emailed them with a question and they responded fast! The app's quality is really good, and the app seems to be getting better and better! I'm still playing around with it, and keep discovering new things! I can't wait until they also offer you the choice of looking at each bone separately, that'll be amazing. What a great app, it's on sale now, buy it before it goes off!! I think i'm going to buy the muscles one too!! I'm happy :), Thanks guys!!.Version: 2.2

3 stars because...It's a good app, educational of course. But I would like to see in the up coming update would be the ability to have customized quizzes, also the ability to rotate the selected bone structure AFTER you cut it in half. It's very frustrating only being able to zoom in and out after partitioning selected bone structure. Other than that, The app is great for in class use if rotation of partitioned segments are not required. PLEASE INCLUDE THESE IN UPDATE!! Ps. My mistake you are able to customize quizzes, however you should be able to ad as many questions as you'd like rather than just 12 at a time..Version: 3.2

Fun...but sometimes flawedThe radius and ulna are consistently confused in the program, as well as a number of other more subtle points. The graphic interface is extremely clean, accurate, and in-depth with wonderful control over orientation and connective tissue layers. Pins should offer more customizability in order to correct inaccurate labels, such as movable pins..Version: 3.2

Skeletal System Pro IIIThis app is fantastic!!! At first it was a little overwhelming because there are more terms than I needed to know for my Human Anatomy class, but I opened the wrench and screwdriver icon, unchecked "all pins", and then individually checked only the pins that I needed to know. This app (combined with studying actual bones, of course) helped me tremendously, and I got an A on my lab practical. Muscular System Pro III is great too. My professor reccommended these, and they are well worth the money..Version: 3.2

Skeletal System ProI saw the Skeletal System Pro on my friends Ipad and knew I needed it for myself. I am a student in the health sciences and seeing the detail, clarity, and the ability to zoom in and out is very important. I am looking to getting more of their apps, which I am sure will be benefical for my Anatomy & Physiology class and future classes as well. We are passing the word around about 3D4 Medical. Thanks!.Version: 3.2

Impressive App!Wow, there's so much in this app! It's really organized well and the layout of the screen and navigation tools make getting to different parts of the skeleton quick and easy. But the best feature is the ability to draw on any image and then send that image to my patient via email - this will be a huge hit! These developers seem to be constantly pushing the envelope, well done!.Version: 3.0

A little disappointedIn the context of a medical student, this app is very interactive but falls short when detailed structured such as foramens of the skull are needed. It would also be great if some of the structures that can be seen are labeled. I would finally love to be able to cut the specimen at more levels than just the coronal ad saggital sections available. Overall I'm a little disappointed that I purchased this app but I can see its potential. I focused on the major negatives for me because there are so many reviews about the positives..Version: 3.3

LolaI'm a nursing student and I have all of their apps on my iPad and I love them! The graphics are unparalleled!! They are great study tools for my lab practicals!!! They also have great tech support. I had a question with my muscle app and after contacting them I had a return email within one hour that was very helpful and nice!! I highly recommend all of their apps without hesitation!!!!.Version: 0

Simply Amazing! What can I say. Beautiful imagery depicting one of the most realistic skeletal apps I've ever seen. I skull cross-sections are terrific , and the detail is tremendously beneficial for professionals or educators alike. I've shown Doctors and RN's this app on my iPad and they are now considering getting an iPad (if they haven't already) simply for using these apps to help explain procedures and show their patients for better clarity and understanding. Amazing Job!.Version: 2.2

Great tool for students.I have purchased several different 3d apps for anatomy/physiology. This is my favorite one. The ability to both view things and then quiz myself over the material is invaluable. I will definitely be purchasing more of these modules. Thanks for a great app that is also affordable for us poor college students!.Version: 3.2

OutstandingI work in the physical therapy field and this app has been a priceless addition for patient education. My patients get a much better grasp of their injuries with pictures to go with my explanations. This application has unbelievable graphics and is extremely accurate in rendering the anatomy of the human skeletal system..Version: 0

Crazy goodLove this app! It helped me out alot in my anatomy class and really reinforced a lot of the names when I did the quizzes. The detail is nice because it lets you see superior and inferior angles, just as if you had our own set of bones at home! Doesn't have every sinle structure but it allows you to make your own pin. I would recommend this app!.Version: 3.3

Good but...So guys! Really like the app, I'm studying to be a forensic anthropologist and the skeleton is my best friend. But, some issue is have. The skull is my biggest complaint. You are lacking many features on the bones, also the skull is made up of several different bones, each of which should be able to be seen in a disarticulated view. How is one supposed to study and demonstrate a sphenoid, ethmoid, maxilla, etc if all you can see of them is small views then what's the point?.Version: 2.3

Definitely recommended!I use Skeletal System Pro III in my high school Anatomy & Physiology course when the students learn the skeletal system. Not only is it cool and highly engaging for students, but it is extremely comprehensive. I recommend this for any student of the health sciences! The recent upgrade was great as well; I especially like the colored skull feature..Version: 3.0

Not as detailed as I would likeThe app itself works great and it is the most detailed app of all the 3D apps, but I would like to be able to see each individual bone completely separate from the rest. This would be especially nice for each individual vertebra. Right now you can only look at the different sections all together..Version: 3.2

GreatThis app would be even better if you could separate the bones otherwise its awesome!! Well done. But warning for students if you have a hard time learning bones that you can't separate than I would recommend searching for a different app that allows you to do that :-/.Version: 3.3

IndespensableI'm really glad I came suitably armed to my first year of med school with some great apps to help me study. I have a few 3d4medical apps and this is one of my favorites -- along with Muscle System Pro III. The app's graphics are amazing and the information contained has helped me immensely. I'd recommend to anyone studying the skeletal system..Version: 3.3

Great Study App - As good as the Real Thing!I am studying Radiologic Technology. Learning the skeletal system is crucial, not only for knowing the structures of each bone, but for positioning. The 3D and the ability to rotate, are extremely helpful for visualization. I love your app. I would love to see it do a couple more things, but am still giving it a 5..Version: 2.2

Re: QuizThe drag and drop quiz, upon correcting mistakes, switches screen much too quickly. Quizzes are a great way to learn, but you can't learn if you don't have a chance to correct the mistake or see the names. As a reference tool then, yes this app is all that, but for learning via quiz taking, it's not the most effective. P.s. the interphalangeal joint of the thumb in the quiz appears on the pinky.Version: 3.1

Skeleton ProI'm a limited scope x-ray student and have found this app to be an excellent learning tool. It has proved to be very useful for learning the parts of the bones and articulations when not in the classroom. As far as I'm concerned, this app needs to be utilized in the classroom..Version: 0

Great appThe only thing that would make this app better is if we were able to view the individual bones of the skull- at any view/ rotation (like how an exploded skull is, but be able to view each bone on their own..Version: 3.3

Awesome for the student of medicineThis thing helps to map out and visualize the body in a way previously unavailable without a cadaver. I am a student and having this as an auxiliary "cadaver" outside of lab/class has been invaluable. Terrific work 3Dmedical images....Version: 3.3

Very usefulThis app is ideal for anatomy students. It has helped me so much. The graphics are great too. A must have app for anyone considering the medical profession, or anyone who wants to learn about the anatomy of the bones..Version: 3.2

Liked ItReally detailed. I liked all the different views it had. I have an anatomy test tomorrow, and I feel like the app made me a lot more prepared. It was like I took the skeleton model with me and studied from it..Version: 1.4

IncredibleApp developers did a fantastic job with this. Whether you are looking to study or just simply learn about the skeletal system, this is the app to get. You will not be disappointed..Version: 3.0

Everything I needThis is one of those apps that the iPad was created for - it is the best study tool I have ever owned. I find it hard to believe how people used to study anatomy before apps like these..Version: 2.3

Its OKAY....The navigation needs some work. Like when I was viewing the Pectoral girdle it was very hard to view the Sternal end of the clavicle. The only way to view it was medially. I think a good idea would to be able to "pull out a specific bone" so you can isolate it and view it however you want..Version: 3.3

So Helpful!!No app is perfect but this is the best one I have found for studying skeletal system..Version: 3.2

Basic Introduction to AnatomyThis is an ok app. I have the 3D muscle app and the skeletal app is a letdown in comparison. The bony landmarks are not all there. If you are a medical student, this app won't get you far in your studies. If you are in high school, this app might be OK for an introduction to anatomy. On this plus side, the skeleton is accurate and gives you a good feel for the bones. Being able to rotate is a plus. The ligaments available are only shown on one angle but it's another plus. If there were more bony landmarks available, I would rate this app five stars..Version: 0

SkeletalThis app is fantastic especially for review before anatomy exams..Version: 2.2

More than it seemsI got the muscle system app and I didn't see much reason to get the skeleton app because I already know the names of the bones etc. However, with the add/remove layer buttons you get to see ligaments, bursae, synovial capsules, cartilage etc. This is essential. They should really have all of the systems in one app and let you unlock them through in-app purchases..Version: 3.0

I love this appHelped me a lot w. my anatomy. Really the best skeletal app yet.. I love the fact u can add your own pins so even if the app doesnt have it u can add it. My only complaint is that u cant see some of the things and cant see bones in isolation for example cant see radius alone. It comes w. other bones too. Overall love it gona get the muscle one too.Version: 3.0

Really not bad...It's a nice app. Some good info. However if your studying the spine And are hoping to see the ligaments... No such luck. Great for reviewing before a quiz or test. Not bad for shoulders and the graphics are very nice..Version: 2.3

Not as good as it could beThe idea behind this app is good, but I thought it would be a lot more comprehensive about different bone features, especially for how much it costs. Plus, rotating the bones can't be kind of difficult and annoying, and you can't see the inside of the skull..Version: 0
