This app is for AT&T landline voicemail, not mobile phone voicemail. Make sure you have your AT&T home voicemail PIN prior to downloading this app.
Voicemail Viewer makes it easier to stay on top of your Voicemail or Unified Messaging voicemail messages directly from your iOS device. Like looking at messages in your email inbox, you can check your AT&T Voicemail messages visually, choosing the order in which you listen to them or even reading your messages as voicemail-to-text. For more information, visit our web site at att.com/vmviewer. If you are a Voicemail or an Unified Messaging customer and are having trouble signing into or using this app, please contact us at 800.288.2020 (Voicemail) or 888.300.6500 (Unified Messaging) and be prepared to provide your landline phone number associated with your mailbox, the device you are using to access the app and the problem that you are experiencing.

Great app, great customer serviceWell, I‘be got to take back any negative things I’ve said about this app not working. I finally set aside time to call AT&T customer service and the rep figured out and fixed the issue in a couple minutes (and I was only on hold for about thirty seconds). It was a password problem, so a simple fix once the rep got it updated for me. Anyway, this app has been a great way for me to check in on my home office calls and faxes when I’m on the road, and I am thrilled to have it up and running again. If I run into further snags, I won’t delay calling their customer service line. Very nice work, AT&T, I appreciate you (and this app)..Version: 1.14.0

Stopped workingDoing fine until early this year. Suddenly told me to check settings because unable to log in. Probably around March like other reviewers said. Called ATT twice. Didn’t get any help and gave up since so much time on hold without results. Works when calling the number to retrieve messages from home phone but have to call several times from mobile phone and input password few times. I have 6 digit password. Will probably cancel landline because of this. Just having it as a backup to mobile at this point. Ps won’t let me send review of 1 star saying nickname is taken even if I put ridiculous names. Will try to change to 2 star and send. Still won’t will have to try 3 stars now. It’s actually -3..Version: 1.14.0

***How to Fix March 2021 “Unable to access” problem***If after the March 2021 app update, the app says you can’t access your voicemail, try: 1) Go to Settings. 2) Turn OFF the “Save PIN” option. 3) Go to Inbox, you should be prompted to enter your home phone number and your PIN. If you’re not prompted, close the app and re-open again to go to Inbox. Enter home phone number and PIN when prompted. 4) The app should now function normally. Go back to Settings and turn “Save PIN” back on so that you won’t have to enter your number and PIN every time..Version: 1.14.0

Works fineHad this on my phone worked great. Lost my phone and got a replacement phone voicemail stopped working. Support (Ben) spent quite awhile working to get it working again and succeeded. A few days later voicemail stopped again. Support tried again but we couldn’t get it to work. Contacted AT & T spent over 1 1/2 hrs and two techs finally got it working. Was a phone problem and not Virtual Voicemail program. Working great again !.Version: 1.11.0

Delete and download again if you get locked outI updated the app over the weekend to 1.14.0 and it locked me out. I had to delete the app and download it again (twice) for it to let me log in again. Overall, it’s a good app. Alerts me whenever I have a voicemail at home, and Reading the transcriptions - still not perfect – are much faster than actually listening to a voicemail. Deducted one star only because of the access issue. Otherwise highly recommended!.Version: 1.14.0

Now it works greatI used this app for quite some time with no problem. Recently my iPhone X s Max crashed and I had to have it restored to factory settings. After reinstalling this app, I could no longer log in. I tried getting help with NO SUCCESS. I actually called AT&T and they could not help me AT ALL. After uninstalling and reinstalling a few times, it finally works great again. Happy once more..Version: 1.12.0

Okay, needs improvementThis app works fine for checking my home voice messages. Listening to voicemails is pretty straightforward. The transcription is useful. But I wish it had the ability to change the alert tone to something more significant. My biggest disappointment now is now they’ve taken away the ability to forward the voice message in an email. That was really useful..Version: 1.11.0

**People having trouble logging in**I called AT&T and they figured out it is wanting a 6 digit PIN number in my case to login. Once my pin was changed to 6 digits it let me login and stay logged in. Once logged in under settings there is an option for pin to be remembered. If this doesn’t work for you call AT&T. The guy stuck with me and figured it out. Hope this helps!”.Version: 1.14.0

What happened to forwarding?Generally a useful app. It used to have the ability to forward voicemails via email from my iPhone, which I found very valuable. Unfortunately, it does not look like the iPhone app supports this function. Apparently, it's still an option on the iPad. Strangely, AT&T website still refers to Windows 7 widgets. Might be as little outdated. Having a Windows 10 app would certainly be useful.Version: 1.10.0

Basic voicemail pickupI recently moved my home phone to the AT&T U-Verse COIP service. I wanted to be able to pick up messages on my iPhone AT&T told me that I should use the VM viewer app. It's OK for basic functions - I do in fact get a notification when someone leaves a message on my home phone, they are converted to text on my cell [none (allowing me to deal with many/most messages without actually listening through them), and I can play them back on my cell. This is fine for onesy-twosy messages. Two additional features would be very helpful. 1. Allow me to trigger the speakerphone on my iPhone when playing back messages. 2. Allow me to delete all the messages in the Trash, rather than forcing me to go one by one..Version: 1.10.0

Great appMy wireless and home phone voice mail have a shared mailbox. When a message is left in the mailbox, the app vibrates the phone and I can read a transcription of the message and delete without needing to dial and log into the mailbox over the phone. So convenient, thanks AT&T!.Version: 1.14.0

Phone AppIt’s ok. I wish they had the next message automatically highlighted already to just click to delete instead selecting it and deleting it each time. Also for the trash bin , there should be automatic time to be deleted like in 3 days all the messages in the trash bin would be deleted. There should be a way to filter and select and select all.Version: 1.11.0

Works well, but please don’t log short messagesWorks well, and is fast to launch. However, hang up robocalls show up and send notifications, which is annoying. Can you make it so 5 second (or less) calls with no voice don’t get logged and don’t notify me? Thanks..Version: 1.11.0

Could be betterI like the fact that I can check my voicemails from my phone. That’s very helpful. However, the transcription is horrible! None of the words match ever. It’s also hard to listen to the messages. It’s like the volume is low. If the transcription feature gets better I think the app would be more helpful..Version: 1.11.0

Keeps crashing needs attentionAT&T someone on your team should be using and quality checking this app. It is fine when it works but now has crash bug. Please fix.Version: 1.14.0

Password requiredThe app is very useful but it’s annoying to have to login every time I open the app. This was not required until recently. Annoying for those of us with large fingers..Version: 1.13.0

Works, even though it’s uglyThe app is perfectly useful. It looks like it was designed for the very first iPhone, so it’s pretty hideous. But don’t let the looks fool you. It works just fine. I do hope their app team gets a little love, or they open the API to let someone else modernize this..Version: 1.11.0

Works nowI gave a 1 because update knocked out access with two iPhones. Now it works because I deleted and re-downloaded. Giving a 4 since update should not kill access..Version: 1.14.0

Useful! - also recommend caller block for spamWe get a lot of spam calls - on cell phones we can block the number but haven’t been able to on our AT&T land line. This system could add that feature!.Version: 1.11.0

Does exactly what it’s supposed toAllows me to hear my home voicemail before I get home.Version: 1.14.0

Luv the App!I’m one of the very few who still has a landline. I hate checking voicemail. This app makes it convenient and easy breezy! Fabulous!.Version: 1.11.0
