I took my nremt 2x prior to buying this app and failed both. I was referred to this app by a friend and it really helped me study and get a feel for test questions. This app gives u explanations and examples. I do think it’s a bit over priced but if you really want to pass I do recommend this app. Also, passed on my third try bc this app
I love this app very informative, however there still are some answers that are not complete and they need to proofread this app and fix them. In no way would I not suggest this app, The information is very relevant to my study and I’m very pleased with the way it is set up and how it functions.
This app is great and is helping me to get through my EMT class and hopefully pass the NREMT exam. Only thing I dislike is some of the information differs from my book so they need to update it a bit. Other than that, great app.
This app is sooo good. Used it for 2 weeks for about an hour and a half before bed each night after not studying for 5 months. And passed NREMT first attempt, highly recommend! #TPL
The app is really good I passed my first time using it. The information in the questions definitely makes you get prepared for a lot of things you might see on the NREMT

I failed my NREMT the first time because I was unprepared. I used this app pretty much everyday for one hour and I passed my exam! It was so helpful and gave explanations as to why each answer was correct. I'm happy :)
Passed in 70 using this app, it’s very helpful as it gives explanations and the way the flash cards are divided into sections is very useful for targeted studying. -1 start because it’s an expensive app.
Daniel Limmer literally wrote the book (or books) that many colleges now use to train EMT's and paramedics. His work and career are highly respected. This app is the culmination of that. Excellent questions. Concise answers and explanations. The only thing that would improve this application is a stronger interface. There are other applications on the market that have inferior content, but a superior application interface. For instance, when completing the final exam portion of this app it would be nice if the app could give statistical feedback on what areas the user should apply more study time. (i.e. if the user missed 5 out of 20 questions pertaining to EMS operations, then the application could show this information.) Currently, when you finish a final exam it gives you a total score. Feedback is the most important thing to anyone sitting for a NREMT CBT. It's a great tool! With a few tweaks on the application side of things it could be an awesome tool!!
I studied this app literally everyday for a month and pass my nremt the very first time! It's definitely worth your money !!
Studied this app all categories to 100% and passed my EMT easily
It’s worth the money if you want to pass.
This is the only reason I passed my nremt. I studied from only the book the first two times I took it, and surprise surprise I failed both times. The third time I studied I used this app every day for a month, and finally I Passed. I give all the credit to this app. I started with the study cards, once I had all the cards down for the section I would then take the quiz. Once I finished all the study cards and all the quizzes I moved on to the tests. This app really helps you prepare for how you should answer the questions on the nremt.
Questions are good. Purchased a few days before my state exam for MA and I definitely feel it contributed to my passing. Price is a bit steep but questions are good. Would like to see more variety though. Highly recommend. Gives you full exams and results with explanations.
The NREMT test uses a system in which the number of items and difficulty depends on their confidence of the probability that you will continue to score at a level where you qualify as a competent EMT. With that said, this app is a lot cheaper than many reviews and practice tests out there. I'm not sure how much better the others are for the price difference. However, I believe this app helped prepare me for my success on my first attempt. Questions are reused at times but the clarifications are great.
This is a great study app for your NREMT if you're always on the go like I am. The only thing I would like too see change is whenever you start a practice exam, then put your phone down for a minute, it makes you restart the entire exam. If there was a way you could save your progress and then continue from there would be great. Other than that, great app for quick studying!
This is by far the best and most convenient NREMT study tool. Being able study anytime any place from my iPhone made it possible to balance work, wife, and kid. The questions on the actual NREMT are different and more difficult but if you take the test on this app and read the logic behind the answers you should have no troubles. I passed first try three months cold after I graduated.
I took NREMT the first time using EMT PREP along with my book and failed it seemed really hard throughout the test. A friend recommended the app to study, and was he spot on. I used the study material on the app along with little book use and got 70 questions. A lot of the questions on this app were very similar to the ones on NREMT. It helps a lot will recommend to my friends taking EMT now to use this app.
Used this as my primary study tool for the NREMT exam a couple of weeks out from my EMT-B class. Passed on the first try and felt comfortable with most of the questions. Practice exams with justifications for each answer were really helpful, as well as the "review" section. App seems a little overpriced, but it's better than paying to retake the NREMT.
I used this app to hep me pass the national. It is very helpful, especially the Exams. The questions are similar to the ones on the NREMT. Each exam is about 100 questions, and goes in detail with every answer, right and wrong!! One tip that I suggest is to study all that's on the Study plan and Review plan!! Especially Airway, Trauma, and Medical (OB, CVA/TIA, Syncope, ex...). Hope this can help, and good luck
I don't want to sound too cheesy, but seriously- this app is great. Use it as a study guide and not the only thing that you use to study. It will help you prep for those tricky questions that come out of no where (wait, did we even learn about that?!). I didn't pass my first NREMT, but with a lot of reading and practice tests, I did it!
I read the reviews and thought I would give this a shot. I used it during EMT class and it bumped up my grades. Even better I just passed registry the first time. Some of the questions were almost word for word. This is well worth the money. I am recommending it to everyone I know!
I used this app along with other resources. The app allowed me to study when I only had a few minutes and didn't have my books. I passed NREMT basic after about 70 questions. The app helped me focus on where I was weak. I would definitely recommend.
This app's pre-tests are amazing. I just passed the NREMT after only using this app to study as suggested by a friend. The questions are so similar to the style of the NREMT I felt more than prepared for the test. I mastered these pre-tests and was done with the NREMT in 20 minutes. Took off one start as it could use a baseline vital review and a bigger vocabulary study section.
I passed both my final and NREMT exam and used this app for studying on my phone when I'd typically play angry birds. Pro: It gave me more opportunities to study. Con: Some of the answers were incorrect (typos I'm sure) and I feel like I got the same questions a lot, not as many as advertised...Still, worth $10
I used this app along with my EMT book to study for my NREMT test. Well the test computer shut off after 70 questions. This app was awesome for study use, two or three of the questions in the app are on the NREMT test, WORD for WORD!! This is an awesome app!! Thanks for helping me study and pass my NREMT Exam!!
If you use this app to its full potential, you will most def pass NREMT. Included with obvious reading etc. it's got great questions, a few of them were even on my registry! Study and Understand the material
I used this app and passed the NREMT exam on the first try. The questions on the actual NREMT are going to be much more bizarre and with much more vague questions, but this app will at least reinforce or expand your knowledge well enough to pass the NREMT.
I downloaded this app back in October due to me failing the NREMT twice. I have been using this app since I downloaded it and I must say I learned a lot from it. I took my NREMT for the 3rd time and passed. I strongly recommend this app to anyone who is studying to become an EMT.
It definately was helpful in studying for the NRT and it works on my iPad and iPhone for one price. I would not use this as my only study tool however. Worth the price.
Thanks for a great application. I found all three sections very helpful in material review. The 5 Tests made me comfortable with testing on a computer as my class work was paper tests. I took my NR EMT test today and passed with ease. Forty minutes into the test and on Q71 I was finished.
Passed the NREMT first try at 70 questions I was done(70 is the minimum amount of questions you'll get if u pass) I was kinda worried about getting the app but after getting my results back today it was money well spent!!!!
Awesome ap! Used only this ap to study and passed no problem. Def worth the $4!! Anyone who says different must have not even tried to study the plethora of material!
When you close the application from the app switcher you lose your place if you are taking a test, very annoying. These questions seem to easy to be a good prep for NRENT, but I wouldn't know.
This app helped me so much. Every time I found my self mindlessly sitting on Facebook or snapchat... I'd switch over and start taking tests.... This app helped me so much!!!!
I passed my NREMT Test on the first try thanks to this app. I had a lot of VERY SIMILAR questions on my test. It was easily with the $10. I will always recommend.
This app helped a lot! Took the NREMT 3 months after my emt test and passed! This app got me ready and had information that the book did not.
EMT Review Plus Negative Reviews and Ratings
So, this app is amazing at educating you on all things EMT. It gets you used to sort of what the questions on the exam are like. If you didn’t get a lot of true knowledge in class then this is beneficial. It has in detailed explanations of what terms are and functions of things. Is it like the actual exam? NO. Nothing can prepare you for that test single handedly. You have to gather significant external resources to do well.
Some questions make no sense and are the opposite of what I learned in class. I suspect they are old questions from years ago which also adds to the different answers to the same questions. Got a lower score on the second practice test after hours of studying because of this. Update your app with recent information please.
Some information is completely outdated app is in dire need of an update. Some questions are wrong and you’ll know this because the explanation contradicts the “right answer” that it shows you. App is extremely basic and could definitely have been made wayy better and some functions could definitely be improved. Overall just meh
I haven’t taken my nremt yet but I used this app to help pass my emt class, I would give 5 stars but the app itself glitches so much that I have to delete the app for it work and if you aren’t logged in before it glitches you will have to delete all your progress. Had to delete at least 5 times
I would’ve given this app 5 stars if it hadn’t been so glitchy. I would find myself in the middle of a practice test and all of the sudden the app is frozen or I cannot click the submit button. It makes it extremely difficult to see how you are doing when you cannot get a test score
Played with it for a couple days and I loved it. Now it glitches and it ultimately had some type of myocardial infarction and went into complete cardiac failure and just died. I didn’t even bother implementing any life saving interventions. However the other more expansive app from limmer is pretty dope.
Some questions contradict each other. When I’m in the middle of a practice test, the app goes blank and it stays like that. Also some of the answer choices and explanations made little to no sense. This app needs a major update and re-evaluation. The price is too expensive for this app....
Yes this app can help you study, quiz then practice test. Unfortunately it now requires internet to boot up. This app didn’t always have a programed reliance on an internet connection, back then it was perfect.
There are a lot of free apps that are much better that do the same exact thing I’d maybe pay two dollars for this app I definitely regret this purchases.
Please update to work with the iPhone X So the app can fit the screen and not be like I’m holding an iPhone 5 inside an iPhone X
I studied the material on the app relentlessly. I began to memorize many of the questions and the explanations. This morning (9/9/13) I took my national test. Not a single review question from the app was on the test. Some were similar, sure, but the testing standards have drastically changed! The app needs to immediately reflect the new testing standards. Needless I say I did not pass after dedicating months to studying the source material, trying various apps, and digging into my book (which also needs to be updates). Between March of 2013 and September 2013, the standards have changed. Time for a MAJOR update!
Good app overall but prone to crashing! Each time I try and do all the tests I get 30 or so questions in to one of the sections only to come across a blank screen and no way to go back! It has happened multiple times in different tests and becomes pretty frustrating. Additionally once I meet the blank page, returning to the menu only the first test appears the other are gone. Closing the program helps but it really requires a restart to cure ( temporarily).
Just purchased the EMT review plus app for my iphone 4. Just playing around with it, and the app keeps crashing! I went into "select a topic" ...taking questions by topic vs. the whole test...and the app crashes pretty consistently. I have not yet been able to complete a test by topic. I would suggest you wait until they fix the problem before you pay $10 for this app.
While I'd like to give this app 5 star rating I won't. I'm having an issue where the flash cards will stop mid sentence and more often than not during the answer. I will change the rating and recommended the app if this issue is resolved.
