Very poor search functionMy kids swim local club dual meets, USA swim, and public high school league swimming. Searching for meets should have the same functionality as a Google search. Any part of a meet name should yield the full name as a search result. It does not do this. A meet must be named exactly as the hosting team lists it, but this is sometimes different than the name of the team and meet listed on the meet announcement. I often have to search for my swimmers’ names before I find the meet they are registered for. Location services also do not work. Searching “Meets near me” often yields only some meets near where I am, however, I still can find the meet by using swimmer’s name. It is frustrating that I pay for this app yet it does not work well particularly with the search function..MomnollVersion: 3.7.3

Features removedUpdate Oct 27th- Thank you for adding back in the features you removed. Especially being able to see the whole race results from one swimmers results. Now...can we do something about the hard to read text? Bolder maybe. Yellow on white is never easy on the eyes. The app was once...ok. After the update, It’s functionality has diminished to a point of being unhelpful. In the older version, I could see my swimmers event result, then click on the event name and see the psych sheet or list of final results. This feature is no longer there. If that could be added back in, I would be grateful. May I also suggest adding in additional features . Making each swimmers name a touchable hyperlink of sorts from any screen, that would take us to that swimmers event list would be stellar. I don’t favorite all of my swimmers team, because I don’t care for the hundreds of notifications. But being able to pick a teammate out from an events finals list, touch their name, and see their results and upcoming events would be very helpful. And if you want to get super crazy helpful, the ability to request accounts to be merged. My swimmer has at least 7! Swim Meets Made SimpleI really love this app and the ability to track swimmers from multiple schools. The interface is easy to use and updates quickly. I am able to track my swimmer and where we are in the event versus trying to follow the event sheet. The time decreased or added is helpful. Suggestion: I would love to see a way to track a swimmers growth over multiple seasons. For example, if the swimmer has been doing 100m breast stroke over the course of several events and they are logged in meet mobile, dates and times grouped together by the stroke. Extra bonus would be a visual graph that allows the swimmer to see just how far they’ve come and growth achieved. An example would be similar to the graphs Strava uses for runners etc. Fastest, longest distance etc. Currently you have to click back and forth between many events or track it manually which is a lot of work, when meet mobile has the potential to simplify this for parents, athletes and coaches. Swimmers dreamI’m a super competitive swimmer, and Meet Mobile has come useful many times. Usually after an event, I ponder my actual time. The touch pad usually gets inaccurate results, so meet mobile always helps me confirm my time. It also includes my profile, where I can change my name, see the meets I’m competing in, and the official teams I’m in. MeetMobile has another helpful addition, a favorite page. There you may star a swimmer. After they compete in a meet, you can see their results and points. The favorite tool is my all time favorite addition on meet mobile, I get to compare myself to my friends and team members. Although there are a few glitches, like a wrong time or an incorrect heat and lane, Meet mobile is fairly cheap and is really helpful for everybody!.FoxSWIMMER1989Version: 4.7.0

Wonderful, except for one problemI just finished a 200y Freestyle, and my coach was showing me my 50-yard splits on her phone. I had never heard of an app that shows everything the heat sheet does, plus splits and places, so I asked her what it was called. She told me it was called Meet Mobile, so when I went home from my meet I got on my phone and downloaded it, and I now I love it! It is amazing how in-depth this app is, with everything it shows. However, there is just one problem which I hope gets fixed. When I go to the “Favorites” tab at the bottom of the screen, and then I press “Search for swimmers” underneath “Favorite Swimmers,” or “Search for teams” underneath “Favorite Teams,” and then I try searching for a swimmer/team, nothing shows up. Kicking It Up A NotchI do a lot of swim meet announcing and use Meet Mobile quite a bit. Just wondering if you can add some additional functionality. Can you allow for Meet Mobile to be used in ‘Landscape’ mode instead of just ‘Vertical’ view when using an iPad? Most everything I use the iPad for in meets is Landscape. If I have to rotate the screen, there are multiple cables involved and it’s just not practical. Also, I know you can use the ‘Swimmer’ lookup mode to see where a swimmer places in previous races within the same meet. It would be helpful for me (and no doubt others) if I could be referencing a swimmer in a race, see their Prelim splits, then keep scrolling down to see their previous placing. When calling a race it would be better to more easily see that information rather than backing up steps to go to the other section of Meet Mobile - relook up that swimmer to view that info for crowd enhancement purposes - then go through the other steps again to get back into Prelim split mode. Life Savor for dyslexic swimmersI have a dyslexic swimmer that can not process information on a spreadsheet very well. I can’t explain how frustrating it is to watch your child huddled up with all the other swimmers on deck trying to get their heat and lane info. It’s a lot to process without being dyslexic. This matter gets even worse when the meet doesn’t make heat sheets available to the parents. Events with meet mobile allow our child to access only his information, interpret it in a more focused environment and let’s the parents communicate with their swimmer to make sure they are reading everything right. Great app - Feedback for publisher tooGreat App. Love it for keeping track of results on meet day. Also love being able to see how friends kids are doing. App is at its best when results are near real time. SUGGESTIONS: 1) One of the most annoying parts of being a swim parent is keeping track of when your kid is about to swim. Long gaps between events make it easy to lose track. Publisher should add a “reminder” feature that pops up a message when “favorite” swimmers are about to swim 2). Some events are now doing video. Yes there are still some minor glitches, but the main issues I have had with the app; after talking with the support staff at meet mobile is not an issue with the app itself but with the meet managers submitting information to the app. If you are having similar issues with the app, it can be frustrating but I am happy to hear that it isn’t the app itself. This app used to be an amazing and quick way to look up placings,times, and splits; but somehow over the past two years it had gone down hill so hard. Great for timelines and heat/lane assignmentsWe’re in our 5th year of swim club. We mostly use this app during swim meets for the meet time line, as well as the heat/lane assignments. I will say that the app doesn’t always update in real time. Which I’m sure is more on the people running the swim meets than meet mobile. When we were total noobies, we made the mistake of leaving a meet during a 3 hour break and going by what events were marked as completed. We ended up missing an event, which was horrifying. I am shocked at all the 1* reviewsEta: it’s so slow since i wrote this. So, so slow! Is this app perfect? no, but its pretty good. I have no problem with the annual 5.99 fee- I have very few glithces & results are pretty fast. Peope do reliaze that its up to the individual meet directors to feed this right? Real Time updates come in, but things change as soft touches, dq, etc come in & some meets are more efficient than others. Additionally, its up to the Individual Meets to provide heat sheet access, if its not available, then its the meet directors fault, not the app. it isn't perfect, but its better lately since a few glitches were worked out. But I do agree that the "favorite" swimmer is annoying, I expect it to take me to my kid IN that meet, but instead it takes me back to the all the meets for my kid, it did not use to work this way, so this is an update that is unwanted! 90% of meets that we attend are in here, maybe 40% offer heat sheets, so this would be better if it were higher, but the results are pretty real time and yes, you do see splits and relays- providing the meet directors supply this info. I want to love this appI really want to love this app. And when it works, I do! But it is very inconsistent. I’ve had the app for about a year, updating when available. But yesterday at a meet was a typical experience. For most of prelims in the morning the app was current and posting results almost immediately. But for finals? A completely different story. Some events have current results and others remain “in progress.” In fact, this morning the results of the 100 back, 200 IM and 200 fly are still “in progress.” And no, they are not the last three events- they are events 3, 5 and 8 out of 10 events. Great to track events; utterly frustrating navigation and searchMeet mobile is great at presenting results of events, and even often (at the discretion of the people running the event) giving heat and lane information. It is amazing to be able to get results in close to real time whether or not you’re in the building. That is if you can find the meet in the first place. It’s frustrating that after almost a decade the of paying for this app, many of the basic UX annoyances remain: flipping between views that focus on your own swimmers to the meet in general are at best unintuitive and at worst (and mostly) impossible. This is exacerbated by a meet search function that is a mere alphabetic lookup instead of an actual search. “[Team] Spring Meet” and “Spring [Team] Meet” are searches that will produce vastly different results - and if the name in the system is the first, the second won’t find it at all. It feels like this app could be so much better with only a few minor changes and it’s frustrating they never seem to come. But I suppose as long as my kid is swimming they’re going to get my annual subscription whether they fix it or not, so why fix it?.BaltassocVersion: 4.2.4

Does the jobThe app does the job. Any complaints about it not being updated or not being updated fast enough really lies on the meet hosts. The app will update when the information is entered, some hosts do this better than (faster than) others. I do wish there was more information on how to read the info posted though. For example, if there are 3 heats, and 16 swimmers, why are only 6 names posted and these swimmers are 6th place, 23 rd place and 14th place. One ThingThis is a short review because I only want to say one thing. This is app only has one problem. Relays. They can get messed up a lot. Sometimes the splits can be uneven, and one swimmer will get an extremely fast time that just can’t be right, and someone else will get the extra time that was cut off the other person’s time. Swim meet data for busy familyJust downloaded the app and it has already proven informative at a very busy swim meet with hundreds of competitors and even more family members. My wife and I manage sports events for our 4 children and are on the go pretty much 7 days/week, rarely both being able to attend a singular event. Swim ParentAs a swim parent I love meet mobile. When my swimmer travels to meets with the team, I can still follow the meet. So can the grandparents. I can see the psych sheets and heat sheets. Worst update everI have had the meet mobile app for years and really loved it. However my App just got updated and I can no longer easily go from a favorite swimmers times to the Event overall i.e. after viewing my swimmer, the only way to see all the other swimmers times in his event is to go all the way back to ‘home’ then ‘event’ then find the event. Meet Mobile declines in qualityI have been using the app for several years and my recent experience following my collegiate swimmer is that MM has declined in quality over the last year. In particular, it does not produce comprehensive meet results until many hours or even days after meet events. Good Resource but a couple of problemsThis app is a great resource, but I have noticed that it has gotten much slower in the recent past. When I click on an event or swimmer, it ‘spins’ for a long time and uses a lot of battery. Also, the ‘heat place’ function doesn’t work. It is always the same number as the heat. It seems like the developer has given up on that though, and is content to make money. Wish there was a competing appTo put it simply, this is the most infuriating app on my phone, and the only reason I use it is because there is no alternative, and it is often the only real-time option, including the internet (sidearm stats, etc). Searching for meets is the first issue - sometimes you can get lucky and type one word associated with the meet title and it’ll pop up as an option - most times, however, that does not work and even finding the meet title via a swimmer search and then typing it EXACTLY as written does not result in a successful search. The main issue is how INFURIATINGLY SLOW this app is. It’s not an issue of the meet director taking his/her time to update the meet. It begins with clicking on the meet *wait :30-1:00*, then you need to click “Events” *wait another :30-1:00*, followed by clicking into the session *you guessed it - wait another :30-1:00*, followed by the event itself *diddo* and diddo for all of that if you want to go back. Think that’s agitating? A third of the time, the app crashes and you have to re-start the process all over again. Like I said, since USA Swimming refuses to create a competing app, MeetMobile has no incentive to fix these glaring issues, so I’m really just writing this in hopes that it gets seen along with other reviews, and the issues are fixed..Involuntary UserVersion: 3.9.0

Descent interface but slow response times...Hi, my parents and I have been using this app for years and it works well for the most part but it is pretty slow. Whenever I search a swimmer on the search bar it takes almost 30 seconds or 1 minute to respond. Also there is a long delay for some of my events when I go to see my results. I am using the premium paid version of the app and I also have a very up to date iPhone 8 so there’s no reason that it’s a hardware issue. Your only real choiceIf you want to get times and heat sheets this is your only real choice. It does a good job of getting the info but finding the right place in the app is horrible. Examples: 1) If your swimmer joins multiple teams or different seasons they show up as a new swimmer each time so you have to find them each season. 2) if you have your swimmer favorited your can see the meet they’re participating in but you can’t click through to the meet itself. You have to search for the meet using the exact and full name of the meet. Any mistakes and good luck finding it. So I guess. Faulty SubscriptionI am a swimmer of 5 years, and have faithfully always used this app! However, an update came around and my subscription went away! I was shocked because I had about 3 months left in the annual subscription. My family and I are on a family plan, and so we bought the subscription on a different phone and it didn’t carry over! Frustrating in the extremeA reasonable app that isn’t too glitchy, I paid the subscription so that we could keep track of my sons’ meets even when we were unable to attend. Why pay?I am a USA Swimming Coach as well as a US Master Swimmer. I get the idea of having everything altogether in one app which is great but at the same time there is so many cons that outweigh the good. First of all, you have to pay to know your results. You might as well stay after you finish your event to see the posting in person. They charge either 2.49 a month of 6.99 annually. You shouldn’t be charged to see what you swim. I get the fact hat you can favorite your own swimmer, but this is extensive. Second the app is slow. Overall, I’m disappointed with how much effort you have to go through just to see your swimmer’s and your own results. No family sharing?Bought the annual membership in this app thinking my son and I could both use it. The description in the App Store says it supports family share. Turns out the information in the App Store is deceiving. Even though the app says it supports family sharing, the paid subscription is not shareable. Super slowI love this app most of the time. Since the change in format the search is worse. When searching events near me it’s always off! The search could be a bit better too. Does not support family sharingTechnically this app works well. As a parent, I paid for this app a long time ago. Slow, slow, slowThis app used to be awesome. Click on a meet, the sessions pop up immediately. Click on an event, the results are at your fingertips. Click on a swimmer’s event, bingo—splits are on the screen. Nowadays, it takes at least 30 seconds to 2-3 minutes to wait for the app to load. Very time-consuming when trying to view a swimmers results. Let alone multiply swimmers. I would gladly pay $15 a year if it meant the performance of the app improved. Get this fixed.I love this app, last year I would use it all the time to track me and my friends races at swim meets but now it won’t update. My name was randomly changed and all my races from last year had disappeared. My new personality still had my last name but my first name was changed to a short form and now i’m registered as a different person on the app and on the boards at meets.
