NiceJust looking at application as I would normally do this from a desktop. Nice seeing event, but it would be nice to filter better. I am not looking for events for kids and the majority of the ones I saw were for kids. Also, I imagine it would be nice to search for kid only events. For running, it would be nice to break down trail versus road, (there are at least 4 running categories and walking) also it may be nice to break down race size. I saw many mis-matches, cycling - mountain biking events (why waste it with 2 categories) and there is a category for mountain biking, 10Ks listed under 5ks, I imagine this is discouraging to someone new to working out and racing..LynSqdVersion: 2.7.8

I would definitely recommendThe app overall is great for finding races nearby, or in other cities you wish to run in. My only complaints are the virtual runs that are listed as actual races-they should remain in the virtual category. Also, I wish it included all races in that area, aside from those registered with Active. I'll go through the app and then go on another website to see which ones are not listed. Delay in list caused errorI was doing my race calendar, and registering on this app, but things so not show up in the list right away. So using the list of upcoming in the app Les me to believe I hadn't registered yet for one of my events. Because of this I registered again. Then both registrations showed up in the list. I've been fruitlessly contacting both Active as well as the race director to get one registration cancelled and refunded. So far it's been a week and no reply. Hope I'm not stuck paying double because of the lag in displaying my upcoming. Aside from that, it's convenient that most every race can be registered here, even using my Rock N Roll Series Tour Pass. That was surprisingly nice and easy..Display lag costlyVersion: 2.7.9

Awesome AppI like this app for the most part Although it could be a lot smoother it seems a bit slow and buggy at times. On top of that, the website is hidden using a complicated url that gives no hints what the actual url is. Frustrating at timesThe mobile app is good with looking like the actual website but the problem I have is some events show up on the website but not the app. I’m currently looking at a race I want to do on the website but cannot find on the mobile app. Would be great if each event had a reference number or at least an email button to send to friends to prevent this shortfall from preventing friends from missing an event..LilhabVersion: 2.7.8

It's a good app for what I needI downloaded the app to find local races. It let me do exactly that. Plus it did show the races I've completed that I registered for THROUGH ACTIVE, and linked me to the results. Great everywhereI travel frequently through out the year and I love using this app to find local races no matter where I am. It only shows races that use ACTIVE, so it doesn't always show all the possible races in the area. Decent but lacks good event search capabilitiesI find the app useful when I know an event that exists but I'm always disappointed when I try to search for events. Like other said it is hard to filter out some of the miscellaneous for kids items. Better filtersI don’t want to receive emails for events I’m not interested. I want to filter what events I get notified by email. Also, I want the app to only show me events I want to see. Can’t figure out how to add an event if I registered for the event before downloading the app. It only seems to want to add it by trying to force me to register all over again. Doesn’t WorkSo far, this app is way behind the technology race in that it simply doesn’t work. In fact, all it really does is show my upcoming events. But when you click on them to get more information, it says their servers are down… and, this has been the story since installing this app. I was thinking about a paid version since I’m planning on doing more races this year… but I’d worry that this would be the case even with a paid version!!! ACTIVE ADVANTAGE SCAMDo NOT sign up for any races using Active. They will AUTOMATICALLY, without having to check any boxes, enroll you into a ‘free’ trial for Active Advantage which auto renews and unless you pay close attention to your emails, you will have no idea. Yearly auto renew is $80. The kicker…you can’t cancel on the website. You have to email them and they have to start the process for you. Not only is this the most deceptive enrollment technique I’ve seen used before, it’s also the least efficient and hardest way to unenroll from the auto renew..Nunya1987Version: 2.8.9

HorribleThis is the worst app it doesn’t do anything you can’t claim you’re registration and I called customer service please don’t get me started they give you the runaround. First you can’t find the # you have to google it then you call it it’s no help and you have to call another # smh ridiculous. There’s a hidden button that charges you $90!I have used the Active website to purchase 5k runs and others..BUT when you use the app they have a little box checked somewhere..and I’m savy don’t get me wrong..but apparently they need memberships so badly they’ll underhandedly check that box and wham! Ability to filter is very limitedI was looking for an ultra marathon, in the fall. Preferably 50 miles. Thinking a search of 50 miles or 50 miler, anywhere in the US, would be enough to find races of 50 miles. The search results included 15+ different triathlons and a series of 5k’s. This app is a coat hanger abortion. Just terrible. It appears that the sponsored events appear as the top search results, regardless of their relevance. 👎🏽Severely dislike the app. Pretty useless. I downloaded this app for the sole purpose of keeping track of the race I just recently entered. To be fair, the website did not have any info neither despite the fact that I had just signed up a couple of days ago. Not helpfulI'm looking for a century ride within 100 miles. If you tap cycling, you get crazy stuff such as a nature walk exploring life cycles. The categories must just be unthinking search terms, as opposed to organizer provided categories. Moreover, the filters don't allow you to choose a distance or skill level.
