Easy to Test, Upgrade, Save $$$Love my current WiFi printer; but, it would not communicate with iPad. Considered buying new "airprint" supported printer; but, for $10 this APP solved all my problems. The initial download to test printer communication was free so felt confident that the upgrade would be worth it. So far have tested variety of material on iPad and all printed just fine, no formatting problems, no hassles. The developer could be a bit more clear about the need to buy the full upgrade in order to actually print documents, e-mails, etc. But putting the free "test" APP into you hands first might be the best way to sell the upgrade. Anyway, $10 was a lot better than paying hundreds for a new printer when the HP Photosmart that I have right now was working just fine for all my other needs. Amazing!I really like apps that let you try it before you buy it. Print Direct lets you do that. If only they were all like that, sure would save me a lot of money. I downloaded from app store, clicked on the app icon, it immediately showed me my Brother Multi-function networked printer as an option. I clicked test print, walked into the other room and there it was sitting on the printer tray waiting on me! This all happened in a span of about a minute and a half. Now I just need to click upgrade for around $9 bucks. Not a bad price considering all the apps I bought and didn't know if they worked or not because I wasn't allowed to try them first. Believe me, I have a lot of paid apps sitting around collecting dust because they simply will not work or I had to jump through a lot of hoops just to get some use out of them. It converts files to PDF, web prints, and has allowed me save web info and export or open in other apps that I cannot move using iBooks. It really has been a life saver over the years and keeps working well from my iPad 1 to my current iPad Air 2. ******I see some complaints about printing, but i have been impressed. I have an old printer (HP6480) that is slow but does a great job scanning and printing but will not work with my iPad. Using this app I can finally print docs. It is not a great quality print, but definitely acceptable. The other features I love, especially the web to PDF. I save a lot of important info I gather from web searches. Needs tweaking!Downloaded the free app, found my wifi printer, test drove it and managed to print 20 or so pages with a few font characters on each page. I was prompted to spend $9.99, no mention of a free trial or recommended setup instructions for a generic inkjet printer. I needed to print something and don't have an AirPrint capable printer, so to have the print capability on the iPad, I bought the paid version and downloaded WePrint too for the iMac. Way too complicated for the novice user so I'm recommending putting some more "clues for idiots" in the PrintDirect app to avoid wasting paper and getting positive results early. Great appWorks great with my hp photosmart c7280. Customer support is great and got back to me within the hour. I asked them if it would work,and she said she thought so,as many customers had had luck with 7200 series printers but they hadn't been able to test it themselves. She said I could use the free download to see if printing worked, and if it did I could do the in-app upgrade to full version. It worked great, so I did. I can print directly to my printer without having to have my laptop on! Just what I wanted. Looking frward to exploring the other features of this ap. Works as advertisedI am very pleased with this app. I wanted to connect my HP Officejet 4500 wireless printer with my iPad (this HP model is not on the AirPrinter list). I had no problems with the set-up. The free test app is a great way to make sure the product will work, but just note that you get to test print with a document provided by the test app, not a document of your choice. The other features that come with the app are icing on the cake. I'm back in business with my New York Times crossword puzzles! Excellant App!Awesome support! Turnaround time was less than 1 hr and all my questions were clearly answered! A good work-aroundI have a 16-year-old (!) hp laser jet printer connected to an old airport express, which itself has not been updated in years. This app worked perfectly except for one small detail. After installing, the pages app on my iPad kept crashing, but after deleting and reinstalling pages it worked and printed fine. Dunno what the problem was. Pretty snazzyTook me a little while to figure out what to do. Even though I was seeing available printers the timer kept spinning...so I was sure if was finished searching. Zero starsWas very excited to find a program that allows you to print from iPad. Now I know I ain’t the smartest cookie in the jar but I’m also not the idiot one, so I thought. After I upgraded, Let’s just say when I buy a car the intent is to buy something that is turn key, don’t really want to have to go and buy tires and wheels. Installed app on pc and iPad. Test seemed to work now everything I read tell me I need print central wasted $5 not going to waste more money, time and paper trying. Do yourself a favor and save your money, paper, time and a whole lot of stress and anger and just go buy an Air Printer. I’m sure it may work and I’m sure it’s something I’m doing or not doing correct but plain and simple it’s not like most apps of download pay then use. Could not possibly recommend this app to anyone. PrintDirect don’t buy!I spent hours yesterday trying to set this up and running on my iPad 2 to print email and from Pages. It simply doesn’t work. I wasted the whole day. I went to their web site for their trouble shooting advice only to discover that they say it currently cannot print email or from Pages. You can only print from inside the PrintDirect App. I downloaded Print ‘n Share, also by EuroSmartz, and it works great to print from the other apps on my iPad 2. Buyer bewareI downloaded this app thinking I could print directly to my network enabled printer, as the description states. But you have to first purchase the $5 upgrade and, you can't print directly to the printer unless its wireless enabled. If you don't have wireless enabled or wireless at all, you have to install WePrint on your Mac or PC and leave that running in order to 'relay' the print job to the printer. If my computer can print directly to my networked printer, why can this software?? Useless in my view. Poor output qualityTried the Lite version first. Seems to function, but was so limited, so couldn't test what a real document that I'm familiar with would look like printed. Bought he full version, expecting better. But instead seems the print quality is poor compared to a normal print out, at least for the drivers compatible with my HP laser. Almost looked like every page I printed was a medium quality jpeg of my document. Even when using the computer to process and relay printing, which bypasses the app print drivers, it printed in better quality, but far worse than a typical printing. This is just a video - misleadingI have no problem paying for something. However, this is advertised online as a "free" app for printing direct to my PC's printers and it is not that at all - it's mostly just a sales video. It does allow printing a snippet to see if it works with your set up so it is sort of a test on this basis but it should advertise that this is what it is and not be misleading. It also promotes its included email app (my ios one works just fine) and a pdf converter (i also already have one of those) All I want is a printer app. No thanks.Canuck100Version: 1.7
