Works Great But Needs ImprovementsGot this app to replace my HTPC keyboard/touchpad as I wanted to reduce the number of remote control devices being used. This app works very well. Installation of server software and connection to the host machine was straightforward and quick. The keyboard and touchpad work without noticeable lag. There are enough setting options to tune the performance satisfactorily. The "sway mode" is a nice touch on the iPhone for emulating my air mouse--not as comfortable on the iPad Mini. I did run into an issue when I removed the USB receiver for my keyboard/touchpad. The Remote Mouse cursor shrunk down to a tiny view and would disappear about 3/4 of the way down the screen. The task bar icon would, however, register the presence of the cursor even though it was not visible on the screen. Frequent disconnects and failure to connect was also a problem with the Keyboard USB receiver removed. To avoid these problems I left the USB Receiver plugged in and everything works fine. Overall, one star deducted for the USB receiver problem, otherwise, with a little bit of improvement this would be a five star app for me..Caduceus1Version: 2.800

Inertial ScrollingThis app is pretty good. The latency is not that bad, but sometimes the touch tracking is laggy. My biggest problem is the lack of inertial scrolling for the touchpad! When I scroll faster, it should move more than when scrolling slower. Same for mouse movements. Moving 2cm very quickly should move the mouse more than moving 2cm slowly. Pretty Cool!!!!This app has some pretty cool functions. The mouse runs identically with my Mac without any lag. But be warned the keyboard function costs you $2.99 and to remove adds you need to pay another $.99. The biggest reason why I didn't care about paying $4 for the app was because you need to download an app on your computer to allow the mobile app to work; this basically goes with most trackpad apps. I was able to download the computer app through the Mac App Store making me a lot more comfortable. I know that I would never download some kind of computer app like this from some random web sight with identity theft being the biggest crime out there. I know with apple that all apps need to be looked at before going into any of their stores. Be warned though!!!! This app has its times where it freezes and quits but it doesn't bother me too much. Very coolYeah, definitely a very cool app. Really glad I grabbed it. The biggest deficiency I've found and several other people have echoed it is the lack of ability to click-and-drag. I know it can be tough to get a click-and-drag when the only way to register a click is with a tap but in this case we not only have the tap to click, but also have the virtual mouse buttons to use as well. My guess is it has to do with trying to interpret the multi-touch interface. As a developer myself I know that can get a little difficult, but considering the above-average price tag for a an iTunes app of this complexity I would think it's something that could be added to an upcoming revision fairly soon I hope. Fabulous - w/a caveat for iOS6Update: Website FAQ tells users to re-download and re-install for iOS6 crashing problems. While it does indeed help with crashing, the keyboard will no longer transmit to Win7, and it will still crash requiring multiple attempts to reload. Button clicks don't always register either. Autoconnect is what seems to be causing quite a few crashes for some reason. Recommend avoiding this until developer resolves compatibility issues with iOS6. A shame b/c it was exactly what I needed and used frequently. ***** iOS 5: Works as intended. I use this to control my HTPC w/ Win7 and it works like a champ. Click and drag works fine, I can control the whole PC - and it's all over wi-fi, so no pointing or range issues. Good app, but here are some improvements I'd like to seeI've been using the app almost every day for a month, and so far the experience has been mostly positive. However, they need to do some work to make it worth the money and earn that fifth star. I suggest/request that the developers fix the following: First of all, the cursor doesn't track all the way into the corners (at least, not on my computer). The best way I can describe this phenomena is that it feels like there's an invisible force field preventing the cursor from getting to the corners of my monitor. I use hot corners on my MacBook to switch between windows, so this is very annoying. Second, I use Remote Mouse with the iPad propped up on it's side (landscape), enabling me to charge it during use. Unfortunately, most of the Remote Mouse functions can only be used in the portrait mode. So, if I want to use those functions (without constantly holding the iPad on my lap), I cannot charge the battery. Third, two finger gesturing only works in the vertical. This really limits the functionality of this app when browsing the web or operating other applications on my MacBook. This definitely needs to be included in the next update. Eventually I'd like to use Remote Mouse on my iPad as the primary interface for controlling my MacBook. Unfortunately, any problems or lack of features with this app translate directly into a loss of features in whatever application you are controlling (essentially making Remote mouse a universal feature-reducer). Not perfect, but usefulI bought this app because I had some iTunes money from a christmas gift and never had anything I wanted to purchase. I manly use my computer through my television set to watch videos and such. I also exercise a lot while I watch netflix etc, but using a wireless mouse is difficult to do while on an exercise bike. Same with typing. Now I just leave my ipad next to me and when I need to search a show or use a mouse, it's all right there on my ipad. Pretty goodI hoped some of the things I'm about to type would not be an issue in the paid version, but they are. I'm about to list every little thing I found wrong, but overall it's a good app. Here goes... No delete key and no shift-delete functionality, no shift-click or ctrl-click ability, no F12 key, much fewer keys in landscape mode which I really don't understand, don't know what auto connect does but it does not reconnect when you turn the iPad back on, which it should since it currently takes way too long. Does exactly what I want it to doYou install the little software on your computer, install the app on your iPad, runs very smoothly. I'm using my HDTV as a secondary display and essentially my primary display when I'm hanging out and this app works perfectly! Best $2.99 I've spent on an app. Also does all the Windows and Mac click and scroll gestures pretty much, portrait and landscape keyboard like normal for iPad. Only downside is when you lock your iPad and try to use the app again you have to reconnect but just hit auto connect and you'll be all set. IPhone version is much much betterThe iPad (paid version and also free version) version work quite smoothly. The mouse control and keypad have no lag and do exactly what you would expect. But.... And this is a big problem, the iPhone version is much better. It has a drop down menu that allows you to open programs in the launch pad, a drop down for power and restarting, a drop down for an audio video remote, and all of the other features of the iPad version. Add these features to the iPad version and this would be a really phenomenal app. As it is, it's very good. Great appI've read a lot of comments regarding the keyboard not working after this update. I haven't had that issue. This is the first version I've had so maybe that's the difference. The only issue I have is the app disconnects as soon as the iPad goes to sleep. It would be great if it could keep the connection when it wakes up rather than having to reconnect all the time. There is an option in the app to keep the iPad awake but I'd rather not do that. The reconnect only takes a couple of seconds so it is manageable. Does what it saysThis app is straight forward with no funny little surprises that ruin the performance and overall quality. It's says it turns ones iPad into a mouse pad and it does no problem. Perfect controllerI have personally been using a Dinovo mini Bluetooth controller to navigate my pc connected to my TV. My first IPad test was mobile mouse which is very good and sports a full media controller with volume play and other buttons which is lacking in this app, but the key here is mouse buttons! Great app love itI got this app for my pc so I can easily operate when connected to 3 different screens at once, and this app made it very simple to do so. Also it is great for when my computer is hooked up to my flat screen because I only have a 6 foot VGA cable, now I can sit on the couch instead of a folding chair in front on the tv. The settings are great, you can even change the speed of the mouse. Does not work when using VPN connectionI still give it 4 stars for my first 30 minutes of playing with it - it does what it says. HOWEVER, for those using VPN connections for a laptop or to login to private network tunnels like for work. It does not work. It used to work, now it will only work if you have Mac OS X 10.6.6.When I first purchased this app it worked like a dream. All I did was download the app and I was good to go. I emailed customer service SEVERAL times and the same auto response is bounced back. Essentially the message says, delete the app on your iPad and reinstall. I have done this a few times and continue to email them with my questions. The last email I sent only said "Does any one read these emails?" and the same auto response was bounced back to me a few hours later. I think they are trying to figure out the issue. Keyboard CAP key flawed...I grabbed this app for one reason only and that was for the cordless keyboard ability. It was a little suprising that in order to use the keyboard that I needed to buy the app first. Well, I paid for the app only to find that the CAP key is flawed. Many bugs not worth the moneyI thought I will buy this and it will save me the money instead of buying a wireless mouse&keyboard but there are so many bugs. the mouse won't go over some windows and keyboard not functioning properly the software on the computer what's me to pay after 30 day trial also they want extra money for changing the wallpaper. such a stupid feature should not cost money... If the mouse and keyboard would work like a real one I wouldn't care about the in app purchases but nothing works right. Also I'm running win 8 and when it gets to the lock screen the whole thing gets disconnected and won't connect so I have to get up to the computer then wake it up and reconnect the iPad!!! Got screwedSo like someone who conserves money, I got the free version of this app, I also bought the wallpaper and remove ads on the free one thinking it would unlock all of the paid features seeing as how it was more expensive to buy it in app....but no. Scam!!!This was a fabulous app and I was using it a lot so I decided to buy the app. A week later I had to buy the app for my macbook too. If I hadn't bought the ipad app in good faith I would have just given up on it and not bought the macbook app. But I did. And now none of it works like it did when I had the free version. The worst part is that the trial period isn't disclosed when you download it. My full version however is not letting me type at all. I am able to "press" the buttons but no text appears regardless of the entry box. Please fixEvery time windows displays the user account control UAC dialog, remote control dies and I am no longer able to control my pc. This is frustrating. The UAC pops up each time I install something in windows and this app doesn't appear to handle this. How did you miss this in testing. Work around is to turn off UAC. No landscape modeUsed to work in landscape mode, but not anymore. Tried rebooting and reinstalling, but still does not work. Don't waste your money. Wait until another version is released. Maybe the bugs will get fixed. UPDATE: The new version 1.61 does not work in landscape mode. I was able to go to my download history and re-instal the older version 1.6 and landscape mode is working correctly. UnimpressedI tried the free version for a bit and I liked it so much that I decided to pay for the full version. I wanted to access the keyboard and to do that you have to pay for the full version. After downloading, I was so impressed. I was glad that I bought it, it was so convenient and then two things started to happen: the app stopped working properly and the desktop app (to sync to my iPad) started asking me for a key-I guess there's a separate fee for the desktop program.
