I cannot download magazine for some time now. I have repeatedly deleted and reinstalled app. I have also restored purchases as well. I have tried this with several different WiFi. Covers of issues show but that is all. I have asked for help but only received the instructions to reinstall app and restore purchases. Feel ripped off. Love the magazine but have given up. Will cancel. Any other advice
I usually don't complain about these things, but whatever format it went to BLOWS!! Uploads take a long time or app shuts down and resets to home page. Or it times out and goes to standby. Update back to the old version or fix!
Trying to read the content and all I’m seeing is the ads. The PDF seems to be working fine. What happen to the video content and interacting of the app it just seems to be just boring. I have been a subscription member for years and years. Please send out a update to fix this issue.
The original app years ago was better. MH attempt to “upgrade” = total fail. Don’t know how much reviews they have had in the past with original version that said hey change it. Sometimes if it ain’t broke don’t fix. Anyways I’ve cancelled my subscription
Absolutely horrible application now. It worked well for quite a while but has been failing for the last several months. I am now at a point where it will not allow login due to continuous lockup’s. Ridiculously bad emagazine and I miss the content.

All my magazine just disappear, I can't restore and isn't work properly can Apple do something with Men's Health Magazine, I try the support from Men's Health Mag and they said it is iPad issue… if you wanna that app think twice...
I’ve already paid for a year for this magazine, yet it will not let me read them... telling me to pay again..... not happy!!!!!! Bill E. Richmond va
Just purchased the subscription to include access to past 0 years. I cannot log into the app.
I would love to have an index that would cross reference training for body parts, supplements, etc. Otherwise… I love the magazine
The issue with the app freezing and crashing seems to finally have been resolved. App works great now
This is where I find interesting articles that supply much of the health information I need to keep my 80 year old body in tip top shape.
I haven’t been able to open the app for months. Is anyone else experiencing this on their iPad?
I just paid $4.99 for one “magazine” I didn’t realize it was just for one. I want to purchase the annual subscription. Can I apply the 4.99 to that??
I wish you could “gift” a subscription of this digital version to someone....
Can not read content
Men’s health has been my source of where to go for diet tips, fitness tips, and fashion for several years. Oh, and did I mention the great sex advise? Yes fantastic sex advise.
Very informative and easy to read
Great app!!! However I do wish they didn't charge current subscribers for getting the iPad edition. I will not subscribe to both the print and iPad editions separately.
I can’t download any of my issues. Keeps crashing.
(Digital Only Subscriber) I complained about the app not working properly and "Somebody Listened". I am now very happy that the app now works properly on my iPhone 7. I'll try to forget the time on my last trip spent trying to get this thing to work. It works now as designed. Yea!!
Like that I have access to full content. Opp to include video feature for exercises/ circuits.
I really like the layout and simplicity of use of this app.
A subscription is cheap, and there's many features you don't get access to in the magazines, the accessibility of this app makes everything streamline an convenient. A must for fit fanatics and enthusiasts.
Very easy to use, just as good as the mag.
Great job all
This is the best magazine ever. This is the best on my iPad. I love it!
If you like pretty girls, relationships topics, new exercise training, entrepreneur advices, gadgets, cars, bikes, architecture... This magazine is for you. And the picture quality is just amazing.
Forget reading from a magazine. Avoid all the clutter as well that comes with traditional mags. Get this App and you will wonder how you ever read a magazine without it!
Great app
Men’s Health Magazine Negative Reviews and Ratings
I used to love this application when you could look at both the PDF version of an issue as well as a streamlined scroll version, where you could tap on an article and scroll to read through it. But about 6 months ago, there was an update to the application that did away with the streamlined view, and now there is no longer an option to toggle between the two. Now it’s difficult and very tedious to have to swipe to flip a page, zoom in and out to read the words, zoom out to view photos / diagrams, especially on the iPhone. My suggestion would be to give the reader and consumer the option to switch between the two views. I’m sure a PDF view would look great on an iPad, but for iPhones with much smaller screens by design, the scroll version is much more efficient.
I have not been able to read an issue of this magazine for three months. The app on my iPad and my iPhone freezes every time I try to download an issue. If I try to get to settings/help, the app freezes, if I do advance to help, once I start to type the app freezes. I’ve reached out to Men’s Health, Hearst Publications, MAZ and Apple. All point the finger to each other and none, I mean none of them have tried to fix the issue. Restoring issues does not work. Uninstalling, reinstalling the app does not work. Hearst says they no longer use the iTunes platform for their digital version of the magazine. I finally just cancelled my subscription. The worst feeling is being caught in the middle and no one accepting responsibility to fix the app.
I used to buy men’s health off the rack back in the day (the magazine is great). I finally decided to give the e-version a try. The format wasn’t really my thing so I let my subscription lapse. Recently, I tried to access those purchases and could not. I contacted customer service multiple times and never received help that got me into my account. I received copy and paste useless help that is easily accessed through FAQ. But they obviously were not interested in doing more than the minimum. I was definitely better off with the hard copy. Big fail men’s health.
I have been a subscriber for years and primarily read using the app. This has to be one of the worst “upgrades” I have seen in all my apps. The new layout looks like a magazine in a web browser. If I wanted to read articles on the web, I wouldn’t subscribe to a magazine. That new “modern” table of contents is useless. I just love endlessly scrolling through tiny squares hoping I’ll see a tiny glimpse of what I was looking for. The saving grace before was the ability to still see the PDF magazine, which stayed true to the print version, but, you guessed it, that’s gone too. This app is a complete abomination. I can’t believe is has 1.5 stars.
I like having the digital version. I have all of them with me to easily access. The issue I have is that I was locked out of all my issues when my subscription expired. I paid for those issues. Zinio does not lock up your issues after the subscription runs out. Customer services only reply is to read the FAQs. I have done that. Just consider that they only let you read issues you purchased as long as you have a subscription.
App started freezing every time I used it. I contacted tech support, and got the standard “Please allow us two to three business days to reply.” Two weeks later, I contacted them again, letting them know that this was my second attempt at contacting them. As of right now (a month later) I haven’t received any contact from tech support. Finally decided to delete the app and reinstall it. Seems to be working, and yes—probably something I should have tried at the start. But a real hats off to the stellar tech support team at Maz (sarcasm emoji)
You can only share the entire magazine via iPhone or iPad you can’t send yourself an individual stories. The biggest problem with Men’s Health is that you can’t remember all the great advice! If you were able to send yourself an individual store you would like when you’re reading it on the app it would be killer an increase the value add significant way!
This app use to be nice. Offline mode is terrible it often does not work. App has no way to visibly show you whether the full issue is downloaded. I read on my iPad often without wifi and offline mode is necessary. Design UI looks older and boring. I'm not sure if they did this to drive people back to print but it's clear no thought was put into this. PDF view is good if you don’t want to create a better UI at least make it so the PDF view is able to be saved for offline viewing.
I guess they wanted to go out of business as the new version is impossible to use. The version takes forever to load and it unusable. I wish I could comment on the content but since the "new version" came out I haven't been able to access it. Why not go back a version until you get it right! For example tapped to get an article and I the time it took me to update the iPhone version and type this review, it still hasn't loaded.
Had the app last summer and bought a few issues. It was convenient and worked well. Yesterday I went ahead and bought a subscription thinking it would be the same and have had all the same issues stated in these other reviews. Click on the issue and it opens extremely slow. After that it's won't do anything. Today I cancelled my subroutine since I had a 30 day free trial. I'll come back when they fix it. On to print copies now.
Frankly the constant effort to see where a particular article is and the multiple articles not in the magazine makes subscribing a waste. My news feed shows me articles that I cannot access even though I subscribe. Then I learn I need a premium membership to access. buy premium and yet more articles are not accessible. I won’t renew any of my membership. It was once a good product. Not any longer.
I can no longer read this magazine because it will not restore my fully paid subscription. I’ve tried multiple times and even though it says it restored, it still wants me to pay for a subscription. I’ve sent multiple emails via the in-app help and gotten no response. If it doesn’t get fixed soon, I’m going to cancel and request a refund of my annual payment. This used to work just fine.
I have tried to cancel this rip off Subscription and each time they tell me it’s been canceled they keep billing me year after year. I am going to report this to the attorney general in the Better Business Bureau. I’m sick and tired of being ripped off by something I’ve canceled and they keep billing me every year. Do not buy men’s health unless you want to pay a subscription fee for the rest of your life.
I purchased the year subscription on the Men’s Health website and the app doesn’t sync with it, so I still have the 5 minute timer and locked content. When I try to log into sync my account it tells me the account isn’t found, I wouldn’t recommend since I planned to do my reading in the app which apparently is not associated with the website.
So I just got a new device and I'm trying to sign into my account to access the magazine via the app. The problem is that it won't take my password, and it is the correct password because I sign into my old device with it even after signing out. I think they need to pay close attention to their app and make changes.
I’ve been a subscriber for years, however the latest updates to the app have left me frustrated. Content downloads don’t work and contact settings doesn’t allow the user to contact the developer for assistance. The app just freezes. Extremely disappointed!
All I get is grey boxes with a little download cloud. It won’t download or do anything, but freeze! I used to have this as my go to entertainment when I had time to read. But ever since they have started updating all I’ve gotten is frustration every time I open the app on my iPad. Probably just going to cancel my subscription and find another magazine.
I’ve been a print-subscriber almost since the beginning. This app has always been iffy, but I struggled through the problems to get my digital edition along with my print copy. Now, apparently, MH stopped offering the digital version with a print subscription. That’s it for me - I deleted the app and canceled by subscription. Huge disappointment for a long-time fan.
Have not been able to read or download an issue in over a year. Everything just freezes no matter what ... settings, downloads, whatever. Nobody acknowledging that there is an issue; issues actually. Don’t plan on getting a subscription and read it on iPad/iPhone, it won’t work.
The latest update to Men's Health not only deleted all of my downloaded issues, it removed my subscription. In addition it is slow, not overly intuitive appears to require an internet connection at all times and the interface is not very visually appealing. I also cannot figure out how to download issues for offline reading.
This use to be a fantastic app now is keeps crashing. Can’t download for offline reading. Really frustrating. I’ve reached and received nothing back from my request for support. I’ve deleted the app - didn’t work, restored purchases- doesn’t work. I’ve had this subscription for over 5 years and I’m going cancel it.
This should not look exactly like the magazine on an iPhone. You can’t comfortably or easily read the articles. It has been a while since I have tried to read this on my iPhone but it’s horrendous. Please give us back the ability to read an article and not have to scroll or zoom all over a page.
I already seem to have a subscription but I just signed up for another to log in. The system wants me to read the magazine, but it does not support the website interface. I’m not impressed so far. I’m sure there is some user error but this shouldn’t be that hard at three bucks a month. Make it better please.
The app is not worth having. It will not allow previous purchases issues to be viewed. It is oriented only toward purchasing which is futile if you can’t view previous purchases. The email function does not work. The app is sloppy, none functional in many areas.
One again the brain dead at men’s health decide to change the format of their app. Now it’s impossible to read. It’s looks like they just got lazy and scanned every page into a pdf file and shoved it into a crappy app. You have to pinch and zoom each individual paragraph on a page just to have any attempt to read it. Epic fail.
I got the app since I got my subscription but it keeps logging me off all the time very frustrating cause you can accidentally subscribe again and pay double.
I have an account I have 20 in print magazines sitting in my lap right now and I’m having a hell of a time trying to access my online account to be able to always have them on my iPad so I can throw these away. This app has made it impossible to do so and there is no customer support. whatsoever.
This app is a total mess! No bookmarking, no way to at least have the app open to the month you were last reading. If you see 5 stars, they appear to have been mistakes or they relate to the app from a few years ago that at least partially was usable! Summary, love the mag but really really really hate the app.
For two months speaking to the help desk which is no help at all. Cannot save/bookmark any articles, cannot do anything, what’s the purpose of even having an app!! Paid for the app subscription which I am reading on iPad with unlimited data;wish I was able to get a refund!
Didn’t like that you couldn’t pinch and zoom or adjust font. Pages were blank on LTE and my WiFi at several locations and speedtests and signal level and other sites were fine. Reinstall didn’t fix. IT guy here that just didn’t like it and I love Men’s Health.
I have been trying to download the magazine for a couple of weeks. Can’t get it to cooperate. I have asked for assistance twice only to receive an automated reply saying someone would be in contact in a couple of days. Two weeks later... still no help!
Lately, the app performs horribly. Illustrations do not load and written text also is partially visible. Really bad reading experience over the last couple months.
Have a subscription and paid for the additional charge to have all products..yet I can’t log into your app.. can’t seem to get help.. definitely will not renew my subscription once it’s close to be completed
I subscribed to a year right off the bat and it still asks me to BUY all the issues for five bucks and when I emailed support about it, I got a reply back saying it was acknowledged and received but its been a week and I’ve received no response.
I paid for a digital and magazine subscription. It is impossible logging into the magazine and there is zero help, all I get is an automated email sending me to a useless FAQ section. I want my money back but can’t even get that. Basically I feel scammed.
App won’t load magazine no photos are loaded. It looks like it’s in html state and not a magazine.
Your app makes my iPad Pro run hot.
Got a new iPad installed and uninstalled this map many times and nothing loads, everything is greyed out no fix? Apple support was helpful but Maz the software developer is just trash with their support
Can’t view any magazines. Just shows the covers and freezes anytime you click on anything. Cancelling my subscription.
Had to delete and reload app as it would not download the magazine. Now the app sometimes shows the monthly cover but won’t download and on other times doesn’t even show the monthly cover just a grey blank magazine cover outline.
I purchased a full year and first none of the new issues wouldn’t download. Once I restored my purchases, the new issues have downloaded but are prompting me to pay $6.99 now. So far this is waste of my money.
Since subscribing last week, I have downloaded the latest magazine several times to read on my iPad during my morning commute. Every single morning, I have opened the app to find it has deleted itself. If you are looking for offline access, this app is not what you are looking for.
Purchased 2 years subscription and not even a year in I have to pay $6.99 to view what I’ve already paid for, disappointing.
The older version worked just fine, back when the digital magazines were just the same as the actual magazine. I’ve tolerated the new version for a few years now. Occasionally all downloads gets wiped, so I have to download them again when I actually sit down to read them while in transit. I don't have unlimited data on the go. Now restore purchases no longer work, and I’m only one year into my two year subscription. I’ve even logged in, which made no difference. And you’d think by now, they would have added an area code option to login, as opposed to just zip code.
Downloaded the app and subscribed but when I tried to access the content it kept telling me I already have a subscription to enter email and zip code but I live in Canada and it would not allow me access without it. Tried emailing the address that came up for customer service and it came back server does not exist. Not a very versatile app
See above
The new update for the Michael B Jordan issue made everything so small. I have to zoom in to read anything. I liked the previous one that was interactive and was mobile friendly unlike the new one.
This new men's health app is completely worthless. Constantly crashes. I can't log in my print subscription. Stop fixing what isn't broken and please fix this major issue or there will be no renewing.
Im not going to pay for two subscriptions as I subscribe to the print copy. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!
Shouldn't have to subscribe twice..much smaller magazines have already done it, please fix this MH
I've been waiting for the app to be free to print subscribers for some time now, and I'm still waiting... I saw a deadline for mid-November, but that's been removed from their description. I will be canceling my subscription if this is not offered soon. This is ridiculous. It shouldn't be this hard.
They have been promising free access for existing subscribers for several months now. Still waiting...
Echoing what has already been written; this app would receive 3.5 stars from me if my print subscription gave me access to the digital copies of the magazine. As things currently stand, it is a brazen insult from MH to have to purchase the same content twice. Totally destroys any goodwill associated with the brand.
I payed for a subscription 3 months ago then new update is released and I can not view any of my previously purchased issues. Is this being fixed? Or will I be receiving a refund for my subscription? Not really fair to try and makes customers pay again for something they should still have access to
Excellent app, but print subscribers want in too!
I lost my paid subscription when I updated to the most recent version. This appears to be a common issue and after contacting Men's Health they are aware and are going to fix it. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but if you have the old one still, I would recommend sticking with it for the time being.
Payed for he year did the update now they are asking me to pay again for this months issue what the hell! Not pleased at all.
Updated the app as requested. My yearly subscription has now disappeared! Asking me to buy June issue... What is going on???
I finally decided to subscribe after all the bad reviews...I had to see it for myself. I took the free trial and was satisfied with my june issue and about to pay my first 23.99$ but this update came and now I cant even access the june issue which was already downloaded on my ipad. Now the only way is to buy the single june issue for 4,99$.I tried to restore purchases ...not working... I tried to reinstall the app...not working... I even decided to take the risk of reactivating the subscription through the appleid/manage subscription in settings... Even then it does not give me access to my issue!!!! Common! Worst magazine app ever guys! Its just sad cause I was really gonna subscribe!!! Until I see that june issue back I will abstain!!! :(
I downloaded this version and my subscription is gone and it is asking me to pay for the June issue! Not very happy!
This app needs to be fixed ASAP as it does not allow recent subscribers such as me to unlock the magazines. I've tried everything listed in the FAQ but to no avail. Right now I am unable to read anything even though I'm subscribed until April 2018. Please provide an update ASAP.
I downloaded the app in Dec 2016 and purchased a year subscription within the app. The purchase went through but I was never given access to any current or past magazines. I contacted customer service several times and they directed me to uninstall and then reinstall the app + restore purchases. This never worked and I still do not have access. When I asked for a refund, l was told to contact Apple directly. I highly recommend not using this app or purchasing a subscription as it most likely will not work.
Really confused on how to best use the app after the app update. Original format was wonderful and was actually best in class for magazine apps. No longer the case. Please go back to previous user experience.
Just a scanned version of the magazine. Don't waste you money.
The app is decent, but please, for the love of God, update the app so it supports iPhone 6 Plus resolutions! Also, the interface could use some reworking; it's somewhat tedious to get around within a magazine issue.
Why there is no support the iPhone 6/6 Plus resolution?
App always gives me an error message when intry to download an issue. Glad I still get the paper version in the mail!
Doesn't download in the background, very slow even with high speed connection, it forces you to keep the iPad paralyzed until it finishes downloading one issue at a time, it assumes that you want to jump onto the issue every time it downloads something, very bad and sad...
Would be a great app if it would actually let me download a book or 2 I might want but doesn't let me. So once fixed I will change my score
Subscribed via iPhone a while ago. Working great initially. Now with the update - problems galore! It tells me to sign in with my account (didn't need to before)... Does not work with my info of email + postal code. I tried making a new account... does not accept my info. There's no other given options at this point. It left me with only 3 monthly magazines (old ones + did not even leave me with all the other magazines I was able to open before). I don't mind if it no longer works; I just hope it doesn't charge me anymore.
Keeps dropping off
