I have used this type of treatment for the last 7 years and am confident in how to use EMDR therapy as a patient . This is such a life changing app . However only people who are familiar with EMDR therapy should use this app . It is easy to use but should be used under the guidance of a Dr or Psychologist til you have been told that you can do it on your own .
I use this app all the time. The variety allows clients to feel like they have control over their treatment process. If you need instructions with it you shouldn’t be using it. It is for trained and experienced clinicians.
Good app but I lost my iPhoneX headphones, and bought AirPods... And the audio won’t play through them. Bummer. Wish I could use AirPods for the audio while using my tappers. Hope this app gets updated.
I am an EMDR clinician and I think this app is simple and effective. I strongly caution anyone thinking about doing this at home. Your clinician is trained to use specific techniques to process trauma, if you do not have this training you may get someone to a state that you can't move them out of. It's simple tool, but very powerful. If your trying to save money clip coupons instead.
The best I've used. Does need to be speeded up little bit. It will shut off, the touch but you have to touch it twice. I disagree strongly that only a clinician is able to use this EMDR technique once you've gone through several sessions and your partner wife or husband have also been in there with you should be able to do it on your own. $$

I was disappointed that the tactile pulsers do not work plugged directly into the phone. BUT, after contacting the company I tried again with the volume at max on the headphones and it works fine!!! It doesn't even need to be plugged into a television if you are not using the sound feature. I'm very happy with it!
This is a very well put together EMDR app. It's the only app that works in all three BLS modes -- visual, tactile, audible. The backgrounds to the animations are distracting which is the primary drawback. It is very much hoped that a custom background or solid color background are offered in future editions. It works very well with tappers or vibration pods.
I have used this app for a few years but what I really love now is using the tappers with it! I ordered a set of tappers and just plug them in and switch over to vibration in settings. Clients love it and it is easy to keep with me!
Don't let the "professionals" keep you from using this incredible technique for stress/pain Alleviation. You don't need to pay $150/hr to find relief. Only thing that would make this inexpensive EMDR app better would be the ability to write up reports for each session.
I installed the EMDR therapy and it worked excellent till I installed the updated version from 16 of feb 2012. I did not work anymore! I lost the app!
Love love love this app!! I am an EMDR trained therapist and I adore this. For me personally it works better than the machines. I only wish I could figure out how to use the pulsers with it and where to buy them.
Great app, but I can't use it the way I wanted to. Hoped to connect to TV in my office to use in session. App won't turn correct way on TV screen.
EMDR Therapy Negative Reviews and Ratings
Warning: This tool is for EMDR trained clinicians only. No other person should purchase. I have used the tool with children in my practice. The children respond well to it. It does have some flaws it doesn't go on and off with a touch. It could be improved, but I have had success with it.
It feels underdeveloped and is poorly implemented. There are UI elements layered on top of text. A history section looks like a spreadsheet designed in 1985. The music menu is literally unreadable in dark mode due to black text on almost black background. The control strip in the animation is covered by and conflicting with iOS’s swipe home bar. There’s no apparent way to start the animation and no help/instructions. I had to get frustrated and start randomly poking at the screen to discover that you have to swipe …the object..? To get it moving and then there was no way to stop it unless you mashed about somewhere near iOSs swipe home bar trying not to accidentally swipe home before somehow activating the control bar again. I can’t imagine remaining calm while trying to use it. Requested a refund.
NO instructions, info or any other guidance - you have to go to the website to figure out how to us it. The app will not run in the background so eats up a ton of battery. And is limited in it's adjustability. I suppose the good news is there is a LOT of room for improvement. In the mean time, Im stuck with this $10 piece of crap.
This app is awful. Do not waste your money! Difficult to use and very ineffective.
As an EMDR therapist I like that this program is available. This program BADLY needs an instruction manual. It's not hard to figure out, but it would be nice if there were instructions on basic use for people who just bought it.
This app has alot of promise. I tried it on my iPad with a boom mic stand and it is almost perfect. Could easily stream it to a tv too. However, it needs to go faster. The fastest rate is the only plausible speed and it is still too slow. As it is, i cant even use it and it was a wasted $15. Update it with faster speeds and I will come back and rate it as a 5.
Good basic app. Needs a much improved UI for basic commands like start and stop and better sound options, but other than UI good. Good start, needs work for charging any money.
This is a great app in that you have both eye movement and sound. The only criticism is it needs to be able to go faster!
Needs to have the option of going much faster to be used in clinically in emdr. Please consider an upgrade soon. I much prefer this to the idea of buying a light bar, but it needs to be clinically useful and at the speeds offered it is not at all.
Please help. I am a clinician. Spearited @comcast.net
Seriously?! No instructions or guidance whatsoever. How is this supposed to help someone? AND you charge $10 for this?! To do that to anyone, particularly someone with PTSD who needs this, is pretty despicable.
This a terrible app it more affective to do this using a tennis ball. I would like my money back please.
App does not work and I can't find anyone to get ahold of to talk to about it. The website does not appear to exist.
I just got the tactile pulsers and it isn't working-they aren't vibrating when plugged in to the headphone port. Anybody have suggestions?
This app had no instructions how to use it. Also once you click on the ball it goes on and you can't pause or stop it. I wasted $10.00 on this and can't use it
It takes a few swipes to start the movements. It’s next to impossible to stop them. Is there a secret to this?
