Great app. The 3D models are detailed and it is easy to use. I especially like the audio pronunciation and text info on each structure. Great update with the various models.
This is by far the best investment I have made in my horses health and well being after routine vet care and high quality diet. From supporting the health of my riding horse, rehabbing a rescue horse with poor confirmation and muscling, having our first foal born on the farm to massaging a horse through a bad colic until the vet could get here this app is a MUST HAVE! It also proved indispensable in coaching a 4H Hippology team this past spring. Some of the best horse money I have ever spent! I am currently downloading all the other apps produced by this group the low cost, high quality apps with regular updates I am sure I will be just as thrilled with them.
Good job! Add a quiz on all the colors of a horse, and allow people to be able to change the horses color. That would be wicked cool! And have sicknesses, and then if you clicked say colic it would give you knowledge and show you what was happening inside the horse. Also then it would tell you what to do to fix it. Also say haves, then it would show the hives on the horse and tell you about them.
I work for a nonprofit and didn't have a lot of horse experience. I bought this app to teach myself horse anatomy and just love it. It is clear and concise, and the graphics are great! It's been very helpful at the barn describing areas to the vet when a horse has been injured. Would recommend this app to anyone with a horse, going to vet school or 4 H groups.
Love this app, like skeletal, muscle, and overall views. Clicking on horse parts bring you to highly detailed close ups of related parts, lots of descriptive text makes this app an easy way to earn about equine anatomy...interactivity with app makes learning leaps and bounds better than staring at a lifeless poster.

This a beautifully done app in which I can pull up a specific area as needed. Only wish it would have paid some attention to the brain and more detail to nerves and blood vessels.
Very informative. I'm a professional equine sports massage therapist. This app helps me explain to my clients where the horses problem area are. Love how it show the placement of individual muscles. This is a great app to help horse owners understand what their vet, chiropractor and massage therapist are talking about.
I got this program in preparation for my large animal anatomy courses in veterinary school. I have little to no experience in the horse world and this app really helped me gain an even footing with all the equine people before jumping in!
As a Equine student, I was looking for an app to help me study. I love this one! It's perfect. But after this last update, all it does is crash and I can't use it.
I'm taking college equine classes and this app has saved me! I can study anywhere it is completely worth the price
This is a great app. I already learned all of the names of one part of the horse, and memorized it, all in the same day i got the app. It is a great and fun way to learn about the equine body. Bugs/errors : Crashing problem It is hard to get the names of the horses body parts , i dont know if you have to slide or what. Can you put a button their? Other than that, best horse app I have
I recently started learning equine accupressure and Masterson Method equine body work. This app provided a nice review of the bone landmarks and the muscles. Thank you! I plan to purchase the dog version.
Even my vet thinks so. It's very useful and educational when the vet is out. He can show me just where the problem may be!
I love this app I really want to be an equine vet and this really helps me remember all the parts and this is why I give it thumbs up I'm ten and a girl and I absolutely grate
I am a high school student wanting to go into Equine veterinary studies and this app is allowing me to get a head start on my anatomy lessons.
I love this app! It's great and I love how it will quiz u to see wht u know. I've memorized all the bones, sections in all the organs, and skin of the horse. Like the regions on its skin. I'm learning all of the muscles right now(: yo DEFINATLY recommend this app
Good knowledge to have when discussing issues with a vet or owner. I would like to see one for ligaments and tendons.
Love it! I just wish I could zoom in and zoom out during the quizzes.
This is great for studying for my equine class. I would recommend it to anyone.
If you're "not a horse person" and want to brush up on the big stuff before clinics, this is a good tool.
Much better than the other equine anatomy app. Very useful and clear info.
I love this app it has helped a lot in my studying since im a visual person
Awesomely educational. Love the quizzes and the different selections for the quizzes. Definitely get this app if you have horses.
Currently going to school for animal chiropractic and this app has been awesome...
I absolutely love this app! It makes learning sooo much fun! Totally worth the money! $$$
This app is very helpful. Easy to use. Love it!
It helped me so much and it was 100% worth the $$$!!!!!
Very good I love it helps me a lot with my horses
Thats really great , it help me alot
Super app!! Great to study.
This is a really cool app, very easy to learn from with great pictures, but if you don't know all the medical terms you'll have to learn them as the functions of body parts are explained in hard to understand language for your typical equine enthusiast.
For any equestrian this is an essential. I am an equestrian coach, barn owner, horse breeder, and competitor amd this app is perfect for so many things. Absolutely a must!
I adjust horses so its very handy for me to pull up on my phone and explain to my clients, were there horse it hurting!
Really good app for learning anatomy - love the quiz function especially the favorites option. Would be great if the quiz could also work so that you touch the part that is named.
Easy to use and informative. Recommended to me by my barefoot trimmer.
Horse Anatomy: Equine 3D Negative Reviews and Ratings
Love this app, really helpful to have for review. As others have said, the hoof info could use expansion, perhaps a detailed discussion about how the lamina work to produce and hold the hoof capsule in place and how they are affected by laminitis. The vasculature/organ diagrams could stand to be expanded. Nerve diagrams should be added. Lameness exams (very common procedure) involve blocking sensory nerves in the limbs, so their location is very important to the anatomist. I would be willing to shell out a lot more if this great app can be expanded and perfected. That goes for (fingers crossed) future canine/feline/bovine apps as well.
I was not happy with the graphics, the muscles are blurry and it is not as complete as I was hoping. I am an RVT specializing in equine therapy and rehabilitation and I need to know all muscles and there functions and insertion. I was hoping this would be a great tool to have as a quick reference. But I guess for the price it isn't terrible. Guess I will stick to my anatomy books
I hope you read this review and listen, this app is junk. It hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It’s glitchy, difficult to use (if it will work at all) the graphics and details as well as anatomy accuracy is all garbage. Do not purchase this app, I’m actively looking for a way to get a refund.
Bought this and the dog version. Despise them both. It is not user friendly and not intuitive to use. Not even my tech savvy kid can get the thing to work well. Huge vote no.
This app is great it really tests your knowledge. One thing to make it better, the horse needs to move! A key part of anatomy is how it works in motion, it would be great to see the bones and the muscles move in the gates of the horse (walk trot canter and run) it would help the horse owner know how the horse moves, and trainers ( like me) teach others to ride and work with horses. Again great app but I would love to see the horse move.
It's not as detailed or informative as I'd like. As one of the commenters said below it's very superficial and basic. It doesn't show some bones of the skull, the nasal cavity etc. in great detail and the explanations are kind of mediocre. I'd also like be able to get a full 360 rotation in all directions. For instance with the skull, you can only see so much and because of the mandible etc. you can't see the ventral side of the skull. Overall, likes said I guess it just covers the basics. If you have 10 bucks to spare, go for it. Otherwise save your money.
Tends to be difficult to stop the animation when it is rotating to get the exact view required. A better zoom feature so you can use the pinch function to see details better. More detailed required on the structures of the hoof, comparison Male and Female anatomy, option to see fetus in the uterus of a pregnant mare would be good. Overall a good start but if it iis to be used by veterinary students then more detail is required. Would like to see both a feline and canine version.
All I can do is stare at it and try and memorize the bones or the muscles. You should try adding a quizzing section!
Like the app, but I could use a "how-to help " to find things. Adequate detail in the parts I've been able to get to so far. Not super detailed, but I wish it was. It would be better if I could call up the parts labels, and if there was a lot more detail. So for now I will not be buying the other apps from this company.
Not worth the $10 it's very basic. I bought this app for my Horseshoeing class. It helps a little with bones and basic info of the horse. Very little info on the hoof. the product does not Mach the cost. But it may in the future I would like to see more info on the tendons, joints and hoof anatomy
To be honest, I was expecting more, the app is missing all of the tendons (DDFT, SDFT, ADFT, etc) and the description they give about the muscles is very superficial. Still is a good app for beginners in the horse anatomy, but for those looking for something more advanced I don't recommend this app.
I can't get this app to work properly. It just shows the horse. You can get down to the veins and intestines but it doesn't have the quiz and the labels.
____________ They fixed the glitch fast:)--------------- _________ Wow really fast faster then I thought Get this app it's AWSOME
Good overview. Wish there were nerves, arteries, veins, and ligaments included.
Poorly put together. Images are vague. I regret paying for this app. The quality is what I would expect from a free app. Very general application only.
The names don't line up with anything
A very basic anatomy program more suited to a pony club. For the cost it is rather pathetic in comparison to the human anatomy programs that are available. The inability to enlarge to do anything more then rotate.
All I see is the horse on my ipad with no words. This is useless.
I would love to see different viewing angles specifically dorsal/ventral rotating. Being able to select/highlight muscles from different locations to see their information. As well as being able to add personal notes within the information popup.
It’s useless!
