Honestly, out of all the gas station rewards programs I’ve ever had, I think this is the most profitable when it comes to savings. It refunds you back points you didn’t end up using and lets you save even more money! I also like that this is strictly gas and not free snacks or drinks; especially because other gas station apps have offer that are way higher than they should be. Just saying, speedway and earnify pale in comparison when it comes to savings on gas and Sheetz is just bad because gas doesn’t earn you points so it forces you to purchase in store items to make any savings. A gas station should reward you in points for spending money on gas because that’s the original purpose and wow does Marathon reward the crud out of you. They also have opportunities to earn rewards by playing games, I earned $8.50 in rewards just by playing 50 games of solitaire which is a looot in this system. If you have a marathon nearby you should 100% start using them and download this app so you can save the easiest .25¢ off the gallon you’ve ever seen.
This is a great world war program. I stopped at a marathon halfway on my commute that I do twice a week for an hour. I pulled up enough or words to get my first $.25 off per gallon. It took five dollars out of my reward account. I only get 10 gallons so I only use 250 of it. I assume that I lost the other 250 but actually returned the unused reward money back into my account. I was shockingly surprised. It’s very easy to use. The only thing to watch out for is when you claim the reward it takes a little bit of time for it to get processed. I claim the award right at the pump, but it didn’t make it into the app until a little bit later so when you claim your award, you’ve got a month to use it. Just do it a bit before you’re going to use it in order to use it at the pump.
Generally speaking, the ARCO rewards program is pretty good. The app itself provides the relevant information but is not immediately timely with transactions. In other words, I’ll receive a text about my transaction as soon as it’s over. But the app is not updated for some uncounted period of time. It is also nice that the program allows you to build up your incentives and use two dollars and up. That said, every other gas station rewards program provides incentives consistently. For example, they’ll give five or $.10 off a gallon simply for being a member. Some of the programs also provide incentives for regular customers whereby they increase the customers standing with the amount of discount provided gallon. Personally, I tend to like this and feel like it’s honestly more rewarding for being a loyal customer.
Edit: the customer service email down below was hassle free and they solved the problem with just seeing my station pump times. I’ll gladly change my review to 5 stars for the ease of this. Recently I discovered when you’re about to redeem your 15 cents in rewards per gallon for your monthly challenges, the pump will shut off on you after only a few gallons and they won’t give you credit for the additional gallons you have to pump after. Seems pretty shady honestly as this isn’t the first time it’s happened to me. Customer service is no help with this and doesn’t care.
I only just started using this app, but so far, it’s a great way to save some $$$ with how expensive gas prices have been lately. This app is NOT FOR YOU IF- you love spending money you don’t have to. I thought the speedway app (save $0.07/gallon) and the Love’s app (save $0.10/gallon) was a good deal- & I was only going to those 2 gas stations, until I came across this app! Now I’ll only purchase Marathon gas. I saved $0.10/gallon on my first fill-up! & my next one, I’ll save $0.25!! The savings just go up & up! At the least, you’re saving $0.10/gallon. I’ll be up to $1 off/gallon in no time!

Been going to the same station for over years just to see a number, let’s say 20 but longer than that my grandfather told me to stick with them American values. I’ve been going with them since 1976 my 1st Motorbike for dirt yz80 I find the fuel they carry is maintained with them holds a value that ever American values good Quality at a fair price keeping it with history with me as I teach my little one that having good fuel for your vehicle and generator or side by side for fun and not to worry ever about getting bad fuel with marathon!
Out of all the available gas stations around me that has an awards program, Marathon, by far is the best one! Anytime I have a problem I can call customer service and they’re 1.available, I don’t have to wait for a long period of time for assistance 2. The customer service agents are very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, 3. I’m very satisfied, my problems are resolved, and questions are always answered. I recommend marathon to anyone as their first go to gas station.
I highly recommend (and have recommended to many) Marathon Gas with marathon rewards program. I feel amazing when I can save an average of 10 cents a gallon on a regular basis but as much as 25 cents off each gallon. It truly makes a big difference with these rising costs. I particularly enjoy how I can use my rewards at all marathon stations regardless if they’re an Arco, a next door, a sunrise, etc… my loyalty rewards work at all of them. Thank you Marathon!
I went to H’a convenience store, and gas station (Statesboro Ga), very professional establishment, love the M.Rewards app so easy to use. Don’t need a card. Just the phone number is so convenient and the savings are great. I plan to apply for a fleet card for my business next thank you so much for a wonderful lap that helps so many customers save on gas during An economy with constant fuel price fluctuations, I now look for marathon fuel every time Im ready to full up, thank you so much.
I love the Marathon Rewards program. It’s simple. You earn rewards when you fill up and for other things in the app. As the rewards accumulate, you simply use the app to select how much of your rewards you want to apply towards you next fill up. The rewards program is tied to your phone number so you just enter that number before each fill up when the screen shows Loyality Number. Easy peasy.
Getting better once you started to understand how it works but there is no instructions at the credit card terminal or at the store counter & they/the employees also don’t know how. So B4 you pay by credit cards You need to touch the loyalty id/tel. # on the credit card terminal screen. After u done inserting your phone number then click i’m done then pay.
Continuously receiving a message saying that “Something went wrong, please try again later.” Has been doing this since last week. I will reach out to their actual Customer Support number today and see if this can be fixed. Just to be clear this app is definitely not functioning correctly. It is not user-friendly.
I was running super low on gas because I warmed my car up for longer than I intended. So I got out to pump my gas already frustrated about prior events. Machine would not cooperate. I’m sure operator error. Went inside kinda angry even though it was the employees fault. He said hold I’ll go out with you. We’re in meetings d Michigan and the temperature was hovering around 4 degrees. He had no jacket walked me through the whole process. Low and behold it work. Very nice young man helping a dumb a**. Thank you so much.
I take advantage of any money saving opportunity that is laid out in front of me and Gas Rewards are one of the Easiest methods to save money super fast! No matter what, there’s always a day where you are needing to get gas or someone your with needs to get gas so you’ll always use your membership. The small amount of money saved ADDS up at the end of the year$$$
I always enjoy the price of the cigarettes i purchase, even though I don’t smoke… rather I’m buying them for a friend or my husband, I go there because they’re cheaper when you purchase multiples! I also get a free coke sometimes, now that’s what I enjoy, get on the rewards program and you’ll learn how to receive these discounts & free items from time to time! Enjoy ~ with love
The AMPM Marathon on S. Rainbow & Blue Diamond is my go-to pit stop. Every time I’m there, it’s spotless inside and out. Their gas prices are competitive, and the pumps work smoothly. Inside, the staff is always upbeat and efficient—even when it’s busy. Plus, the snack and drink selection is top-tier, and I love their fresh coffee options. It’s always a quick, convenient, and pleasant stop—exactly what I need on the go!
Rewards are good and easy to use. If I could change anything I wish to have a key ring rewards card the cashier would scan to claim my bonuses. The app has changed quite a bit in the past months. I only log in every couple months to check my rewards and I have to spend some time to become reacquainted. All in all I am appreciative and would recommend
I really enjoy this app buying gas every where except my local store. I never get credit for purchases it’s like I never put my number in. I have also submitted the receipt by email like I was told to do by customer service. Still no points. Waynes is Warrior the system is not giving points
Your previous rewards program was far superior to this one. It was easy it was efficient, and it had to create loyalty. The new program is cumbersome, not customer, friendly, and difficult to utilize in the moment. I’m sure the new program is much more financially favorable to Arco, but that’s not the reason for loyalty programs
I rated 1 (one) star because I did t know how to use the rewards. I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! Really rather simple. Open app, scroll towards the bottom, and pick the reward you want to use. If you have enough rewards built up, pick the highest and save big. Once you activate it in the app, the rewards will work flawlessly at the pump. 5 stars all the way!!!!!!!
I like the gas station, I’ve been with Marathon for years but recently J&H bought Marathon and it’s safe to say that most of there prices have went up, and I’m not really a fan of the new rewards program, I liked the old rewards program better. Although of the change’s that I’m not a fan of I still have stayed by marathons side and still reward here.
The absolute best customer service I’ve ever had! I’ve been going there for the past 10 years. Anthony and Mike are very personable and always ask how you’re doing. Sometimes, most times we talk about daily stuff, they always ask how you’re doing today. Ask about how family is.. they are just the best!
As the cost of everything rises being able to save a little here in a little there adds up. Being able to travel some is something I love doing. Through this reward system, I’m able to save up to a dollar a gallon, which is substantial at a given time
The young man who assisted me at the fuel pumps was polite, greeted me (and my dog- that wanted pets). The young man pumped the gas, and was patient with my “out of state” questions. He was friendly and professional. Thank you for employing such a breath of fresh. Your station was clean, safe, and great prices. Made it worth taking the time to get app and become a repeat customer.
I’ve been trying to add my rewards number on the screen for about 5-10 refills now, and every time I put in my rewards number the screen freezes up or it doesn’t accept my card. They should make a way to add your receipts or automatically detect you cc Bec this isn’t working
This is the easiest app I’ve worked with by far quick straight to the point type in your number you get rewards back and you get to use them when you want I recommend this app you don’t have to do nothing just type in your number
Super simple layout makes it very user friendly. Each month you get to choose a challenge to earn more rewards points on top of your points you earn with every fill-up. I feel that you get a very fair amount of rewards points, which are redeemed for up to $1 of each gallon.
All arco gas stations offer the option to enter your loyalty number at pumps. each time you fill up, you get arco cash which you can use to get cents off per gallon in your next visit. its nothing to crazy, but its free and we have to pump gas very often so i use it. just sign up and enter your loyalty number each time you decide to pump gas at arco for free discounts on gas
Long time Maverik fueler was convinced by Cashier Tisha at Marathon to transfer. Her excellent customer service and eagerly helpful personality to assist an electronically challenged customer makes her a Gold star. We will see what the future brings but I will go back to Marathon in Havasu at the corner of McCulloch to just to say hello to Tisha again. The .10 off for fuel helped also.
I used to be one that go to Walmart all the time stop by here once because you guys were the only ones open at the time I need gas. I realize my truck was running a lot better and I was getting more miles to the gallon in my driving, I’ve been back ever since, it’s awesome. Thank you God bless.
Once I downloaded the app, it didn’t work at the pump right away. The first couple tries failed. Over a week later (maybe the system needed to update) my account registered at the pump and I I successfully filled my first tank with it. If it continues to work, it will be a great app.
Super happy with the improvements made since they updated the program. When I choose a reward on the app, it asks me at the pump and immediately drops the price at the pump. No guessing on whether or not the discount went through. Thank you!
I was excited to see that we had marathon here in Pima County. I travel a lot to Texas and I see the marathon gas stations throughout so it will help me save money. I love the points that I earned compared to another store that has gas pumps It takes me forever to earn the points with marathon. I’m earning them fast and I love it.
I’ve been using Arco for many years now because not only is it the least expensive it is high-quality gas that I run in my performance vehicles and I also have a Honda a Toyota and they run great on it. Also, try out the app and save an extra $.10.
Marathon Rewards Negative Reviews and Ratings
So the in app point system uses “$”. Right now, after spending about $300 on about 63 gallons of fuel, i only earned “$5.50” and “$2” extra from sign up bonuses. And even though “$7” sounds like a good deal, i can redeem “$5” to get only a mere ¢25 off per gallon. If i had “$10”, i could redeem it for ¢50 off per gallon. It costs “$20” to redeem the $1 off discount. Which as of right now, without any promotions or bonuses, would cost me about $1,200 to achieve that discount. Insane! When i saw a sign at an Arco gas station saying that if i sign up for the rewards program, i could earn up to “$7” in rewards just for signing up, i didn’t realize that “$7” in rewards was worthless and that the point system uses “$” to trick you into thinking you’re going to get an amazing deal. Really though, using a “$” as the point system just makes it seem sketchy and absolutely misleading. Just use regular points instead of “$” points. All that being said, the app isn’t very good on the rewarding part and if you can i would suggest trying to go other gas stations instead and trying out their rewards system. If you don’t have the option, then at least this is better than nothing.
I don’t have any trouble with the app, but I do have problem with the promotion. I can never get the rewards they promise. In May, there was a promotion that once you bought 30 gallons, you would get a discount of $.20 per gallon on your next fill up. I completed the promotion and went to fill up my tank today. I did not get $.20 per gallon. I only got $.10 per gallon. Stations that participate in this program are already more expensive than the other stations so after my discount I got about $.04 a gallon savings. It’s not worth it to try to find a station that participates. I don’t plan on wasting my time anymore. I forgot to mention, because participating stations are $.05 to $.10 higher than non-participating stations, by the time you filled up a couple of times to get the rewards at a participating station, you’ve already spent more there than you would have at the non-participating station. ARCO got back to me about my first review and said, “they would look into it.”
I’ve played along for two month with the monthly gallon goal for extra rewards and I don’t get even a congrats for hitting the mark, much less see the credits applied to my balance which is a bummer and has broken my loyalty to the app. If it’s there it’s there. With or without the app, I prefer Arco (CA/AZ) to other stations due to diverse inventory for road snacks and daily/car essentials. Marathon for the consistently low prices (AZ) I can rely on quick and friendly service, along with access to a vacant and clean restroom, although it’s most times a tight space if that matters to you. Of course some locations prove to be the weakest links within the organization. They are those crazy cousins that we dread to see coming because they make everyone else look bad. The Play to Win offers could be more concise and clear on rules. From a marketing perspective, it doesn’t seem to align with the brand and feels cheesy and sneaky. Something about sitting at Pump 6 having my virtual chicken run through the farm to get all 12 eggs… all so you can earn credits, only to know you have to get to level 22 to do so. Don’t waste our time when it’s time to be on the move. I found myself resisting and changing the subject when I was going to ask/tell my dad about the Arco app and see if he uses it. Word of mouth opportunity that I shut down right away. Be clear, be fair and prove the time investment of extra steps to be valuable before you expect loyalty and raving fans for the brand. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
Garbage app it’s functions is entire useless. Not only is this the only gas app that doesn’t have a pay through the app function when pumping gas. Its reward system never even works when you try to redeem the points at the pump, and to make matters worse you must do all the work of tracking your receipts and submitting pictures of them just to get a few points so that after a few more times of doing multiple times maybe you could save what like 5 cents? Once you have the points like I said you can’t even redeeem much (all) of the time because then there’s always some error with the pump or register and now your stuck at the gas station without your money and without any gas and the lady in the window tries to reset the pump. Go to shell, chevron, Exxon, Valero, Costco, literally anything but marathon; the former of which all have a useful functional working app serving a valuable purpose. Marathon you get 0/5 from me.
Hello, I recently downloaded the Marathon app and am a loyal customer of your gas stations. I appreciate the rewards program you offer. However, I encountered some challenges using the app. I found it difficult to locate the gas pump through the app and had to pay at the cashier instead. Furthermore, the point redemption process was not as convenient as I expected. To enhance the user experience, I suggest implementing features that make it easier to find pumps and streamline the point redemption process, similar to how other gas stations operate. I believe that by investing in these improvements, you can make your app even more convenient and competitive. I look forward to seeing these enhancements and continuing to use Marathon. Thank you for your attention to this matter
Compared to other rewards and cash back systems like upside, this app is kind of awful. Multiple different “choose 1” options on how to eventually earn some discounts. You earn a fake currency in the app that you can redeem. If you save up a bunch of points there’s no benefit to it. As in you could redeem them for 10 cents off or you can save up and get $1 off but if you save up to get the $1 off there’s no discount on the points so you might as well just redeem when you can on a low tank. Unlike upside that just tells you how much you’ll save at any particular station, you have to spend time looking through a clunky app and apply the discounts or maybe get a surprise ask at the pump. The app and rewards feel intentionally convoluted and confusing.
The Marathon Gas application presents significant limitations compared to other fuel station apps. Unlike similar platforms that allow customers to directly activate the payment option either at the pump or inside the store, this application does not provide such functionality. First, the app does not automatically detect the gas station through GPS, which makes it inconvenient for practical use. Second, there is no clear option to register or process payments directly within the app, forcing the customer to complete the transaction in the traditional way inside the station. Additionally, when this issue was reported through the customer service chat, the response provided was neither helpful nor attentive. The only suggestion was to go inside the station in case of problems with the pump, without offering an effective solution or showing any real commitment to improving the user experience. As a result, the application fails to meet the basic expectations commonly found in other apps within the same sector, significantly limiting its usefulness and efficiency.
I can see my money savings and adding up, but I can never use it most I can use is 10 cents per gallon. it shows that I still have $10 savings ready to redeem no option to redeem at the store or the pump tried both prepaid as well as doing it at the pump itself is still no option to redeem your five dollars or $10 or $20 even though I have available funds. Marathon definitely isn’t the cheapest but I thought with the app in the convenience, I could save money however that is not the case. I called and submitted a ticket no response back. I’m still unable to use the app. The gas station attendance state that everyone is having this issue so it’s not just me very frustrating marathon.
I like that my neighborhood gas station is a marathon and owned by somebody. For me that’s an important fact. What I do find frustrating about this rewards program is most of the monthly ones that you pick are are not something I’m gonna ever be able to get I get that bigger pay off also it’s I just don’t use it enough I, get my rewards and sometimes I use it and sometimes I don’t. I’d like to see something separate for senior citizens. We don’t put tons of miles on our car even when we live out in a somewhat area I guess I feel the thing needs a little tweaking.
Sometimes my bank will give rewards for specific gas stations, & I have a reward waiting for an Arco purchase specifically. however, not all Arco gas stations are ones that this company will actually give you rewards for/l or connect with the app, so I can’t just search on map apps. AND when I look on the map included on this app, it does not specify whether it’s marathon or Arco. it would be nice if it was just consistent and labeled. also, they have a receipt tab, but it’s not actually receipts, so don’t count on it if you need an actual receipt…
Disclaimer check the locator. If the gas station you use isn’t included on the locator then this app is pointless. The station may even advertise the rewards program but doesn’t participate. The only value at that point is to the business which has your information. Suggestion: create a fake account, check the locator. If you find your gas station go back and create a legitimate login. If not delete and move on.
The other day I had 10 or 15 cents a gallon coming to me because I finished a monthly gallon challenge. I went inside and paid and the started pumping gas it got to a gallon and the pump said out of order. I then had to go to a different pump and lost my Cents per gallon. I sent a message I have pictures of the receipts it seems that they make you jump through hoops to get your point Corrected. It’s just not a simple process. And I spend a lot of money at Marathon. Very disappointing
Horrible. If I could give 0 stars I would. Need to have option to earn points for in store items. Also needs to be more than earn 10 cents. Also NO ONE wants to download and play games to earn points and their needs to be more store offers. Also never any promo codes or surveys! Marathon/arco could do some much better. And why the heck is their two apps just make one app it makes no sense. Plus theirs no surveys. Need to offer better partner and in store offers. Also would appreciate needs pay at pump feature!
I go to y’all’s station bc I heard circle K has water in there gas. So I started going to YALL nd it b better if more employees would no how to assist customers on y’all’s apps like how to redeem $ in your account nd so fourth other then that come down on ur prices on y’all’s fountains drinks circle K has there FER .84 cents if u got there app downloaded bc y’all’s is almost 4$ that’s ridiculous. Wow i refuse to get 1 bc it’s to high price I mean wow Ty hope to see some changes Ty yo-yo
This program is a scam, the digital has problems registering at the pump every time, says digital offers not valid, you won’t get the normal 5c discount. Plus some didcounts go into the account but you haveand to activate it to redeem your already earned discounts. Thats twice the work for a 50% chance of earning savings because the system is so unreliable at the pump. This is the dumbest rewards program ever conceived. Too many hoops to jump through and you still won’t get your expected discounts
You cannot redeem your reward unless you go inside you have to tell cashier to turn your pump on pump gas go back in then tell cashier you are redeeming points then type your phone number in card scanner then scan your card it not worth the headache of 3 trips back and forth they ruined a great app with the change was great when you could redeem at the pump was a loyal customer
