The team has built something awesome!! If you’re someone who’s trying to look up the right thing to do and already trying to chatGPT cardiac questions- this is the best AI tool (ignore ChatGPT!!). It’s well resourced with high impact journals. It’s helped for quick summary of current evidence (with referenced journals) and especially quick for looking up new medication side effects. It’s more robust in its LLM for answering nuanced questions than the usual Cochran review/Uptodate that ones used to learning decades ago. A great equalizer for trying to synthesis best practice and when trying to pull quick things from guidelines. And supposed to be able to get CME credit in the future for what one looks up also! Great starting point for being able to jump to a journal reference quickly…

I have been using this platform for over 6 months now, and it is both revolutionary and disruptive. Whether updating medical knowledge or searching for actionable up to date treatment plans, this AI reference is invaluable and beyond game changing. My patients (and myself) benefit from its powerful results on a daily basis. The answers are both thorough and accurate with extensive reference if you are an AI naysayer. Only negative I can synthesize is clinicians could be rendered obsolete with this phenomenal technology. In its current iteration, this tool is an invaluable adjunct to modern day medical practice. I find that I have made OpenEvidence a tool I use every single day and multiple times daily at that. For a year I used it often but held it at arms length while sizing up the technology. I found it provided zero factual errors in that time. While in the early days I found a few of the searches/answers to be superficial and of no real help, that changed over time so that in the past year the quality, depth and breadth of answers have been remarkable. I find it provides concise reviews of content I have not recently visited and every day I learn something. I wholeheartedly recommend this tool for busy Internists.

Incredible resource for clinicians. Gone are the days of sifting through endless journal websites/clinical trials trying to find an EBM answer to my clinical questions. Most clinical questions I have in an obscure, uncommon situation where the data is not clearly established, with time constraints it is impossible to sift through endless journal articles to find the answer myself. OE harnesses powerful AI technology to do the data sifting for me instantaneously, and can tell me what the data says on an obscure, clinical query where there is no obvious answer from traditional sources. Linking the journal studies/info is extremely helpful so I can go straight to the source myself if needed.

I’ve experimented with ChatGPT as well for medical guidance and with appropriate wording requests it is often helpful summarize medical guidelines, etc…. BUT I’ve found mistakes at times, so have used with caution. OPEN EVIDENCE however is so much more helpful in pulling together from only medical sources& is easy to see provided sources quickly & follow up with additional questions, rationales, pharmacokinetics, pathophysiology, etc. Love it, especially to help my continued learning/critical thinking as a fairly new practitioner, without extensive time scanning multiple articles/sites.

The app has been providing me with great and accurate information so far, with really good references and precise data, the only issue is that their servers are really bad, i can only ask around 1-3 questions before they crash and tell me they are having troubles processing my question due to high volume of traffic, this hasn’t happened to me before on any other AI that i have been using so far, i suggest the creators to fix this as soon as possible since their app really works great answering questions accurately but the issue i mentioned is really rendering most of its purposes useless

This app has been a game changer and has become my go to reference when I encounter something in my practice that I have not delt with before. I still collaborate with my specialist colleagues but now when I do, I generally have a plan I intend to take and just need to verify it with my specialist. I also really like having some specific numbers/statistics presented by this app from real studies to use and reference when presenting a plan of action to a patient. My patients respond well to that kind of specific data.

I’m 80, but lucky to have absolutely loved radiology and medicine, such that after retirement at 65, I continued to practice six 7-day weeks/year until 3 months ago. AI, of could, did not exist. OpenEvidence is phenomenal. It keeps me up to date anytime i want to review a subject or investigate a medical topic which I don’t know much about. I could go on forever about the incredible value of this website. Thanks for creating this, which uses AI to be so incredibly valuable to such a noble and important profession.

This app has been blocked to UK users. We don’t have anything else here that I can see as being even half as good. I used the app daily for CPD, literature review, reviewing interesting case studies, even to help me explain issues to patients. It was the best thing that had ever happened to democratise access to the best quality medical knowledge globally. What can we do to regain access? What are the issues so we can try to help from this end. I’m writing to my MP.

Succinct, accurate, well organized, and fully referenced snapshots of issues… available in seconds. After forty years of effort to find or develop software to subtract some of the drudgery from internal medicine, this is the biggest step toward that goal ever. It will be even more important going forward to ensure that medical research produces well controlled and critically appraised papers to add to the repository. This tool has the potential to disrupt the practice of medicine; the time to enjoy it is now.

This was a seemingly random email that I received, but it’s been an absolute game changer. As a physician, it’s incredibly valuable to be able to run an evidence based search of the literature and not have to sort through the Google quagmire. I’m currently putting together a grand rounds talk. I have an instantaneous answer to my questions with citations that saves me hours of pubmed searches. Machine learning will change the way that we practice and this is a step in that direction.

As a current medical student, this is easily the best, most accurate resource I have used to find an answer for clinical questions. From summarizing studies to explaining the rationale behind management options, OpenEvidence does it all with accurate references. Although I can find a lot of this information elsewhere, the succinct explanations keep me coming back. I will continue to recommend this app to everyone in healthcare as a must-have.

Fantastic app! Provides accurate and very helpful answers for an enormous variety of clinical questions. Incredibly helpful to support my patient management. I didn’t notice any hallucinations so far - this makes Open Evidence much more trustworthy than other apps, including ChatGPT and other competitors. Sources including guidelines are very well selected and the list of used references is fantastic. Really a game changer to improve the daily work flow of a physician like me!

This app came to be a Game changer not only into my practice but as well for aiding and educating my patients . Other apps as UpToDate are valuable but too tedious most of time due to extent of explanations. This app has all I looked for in terms of strength , knowledge , applicability and “right there” concise and solid evidence-based medicine. If you value what you do by passion ,and this should be practicing evidence- based medicine , Open Evidence is a must. OE rocks!

As a new primary care attending, I have found this app to be very helpful with some of the more obscure questions that patients ask, including some references on supplements and other things. It is a nice quick reference to before I walk in the room and has up to date information on current trends. I have definitely been recommending it to friends and colleagues.

This app is probably the best thing I’ve found while practicing medicine. The idea that every answer is pulled from medical journals and other trusted resources is reassuring. It has helped me consider differentials I hadn’t thought about, decrease/increase what I’m ordering, helping me decide if something is an immediate referral vs waiting, and specifies best imaging/next steps! Highly recommend.

One of the greatest strengths of this tool is also something that can sometimes be frustrating, but is entirely appropriate: it resists overstating, even if pushed. I’m a curious RN and FNP student. I had been using Grok to learn about conditions and treatments and to explore case studies. I’m so glad I found OE! I call it “The Evidence” in conversation. It feels like a playground and I’ve just gotten started with exploring what it can do. I am so excited to use this tool both during school and in practice.

Really beneficial quick search for that searing question honestly. sometimes requires very good specific precising in order to get the desired answer instead of an aberage answer. but if u use it right, its incredible. 10/10

I find open evidence to be extremely fast and very accurate when I have a clinical question. I frequently use it to make sure I am doing everything in the most up-to-date fashion.

I rarely write reviews, but I have to say that this has really been an outstanding addition to my medical library and knowledge. It does not substitute for full text digestion of articles, but it definitely helps with a quick birds-eye view.

This app is so useful. It's also nice that it can't be cluttered up by non-clinicians. The fact you need a health care provider # helps keep the app good and useful. It's very helpful when looking for evidence to support a claim to my patients. It's also great to help if I'm in a rut.

Open Evidence has become the new UpToDate when it comes to quickly accessing info on rarely used meds. It’s also great for getting verifying that your independent interpretation of labs, imaging, etc. are correct.

This AI is helping me guide my own learning process in residency by giving me fast searching for both the most cited and most recent studies in different practice areas. It’s not infallible at summarizing but it gives me great blurbs to start off with.

I have been testing this rigorously. A few things it has gotten wrong, or rather, not fully correct, but with some fine tuning of the verbiage I was still able to get there.

Don’t think twice. This app is a game changer. Able to now claim CME as well. However, CME is claimed only on website and not app. Hopefully this gets fixed on future updates. Nonetheless, it’s a fantastic app. A must have.

I’ve been using Uptodate for a long time, but this app is on another level. I hope they keep adding more evidence based content, and keep improving it. Excellent so far!

I really love OE and it helps in plenty of clinical scenarios. I especially love being able to read journal articles cited. My one complaint is that there is not a saved articles library feature. I feel it is very cumbersome to try to find specific articles that I had read in some conversation when I am trying to reference it later. Having a library feature would be great. Especially if it had an option to jot down some notes/thoughts about the article too. Thanks!

Very useful for medical research and work — it brings together all the useful primary literature I don’t have time to search through in one place, and answers my questions with evidence from these.

The website, and now this app, are amazing. I’m in love with it! It’s super helpful and I really like how it provides the references for where it gets its info for. As with all things AI, the onus is on the user to fully search and verify the answers.

As a physician, I have tested the application in my speciality field (psychiatry) and have as yet to find it providing inaccurate information or hallucinating. I primarily use it to address questions that are outside of my specialty field.

I’ve been using OE for a few weeks now and it definitely adds tremendous value. Please keep adding to its universe of knowledge and incorporate the next generation of reasoning that Open AI keeps hinting at releasing soon.

Answers are ACCURATE and even site sources. Great tool to have in your pocket and absolute game changer. Just with there was a platform for my MacBook (app only available on iPad and phone)

I started using OpenEvidence about 1 month ago when I found out about their web version. It has replaced every other medical reference. I use it every day in my work. It gives thorough, accurate, concise and immediate answers to any medical question. Every clinician who I have shown it to has told me that they found it to be practice changing. Amazing work!

OE is one the best AI medical sources that i get the best recommendations for my tough cases.

This is a fantastic app. It generates fast, clear and succinct answers to questions, but there are some issues to be aware of. I have found that in practice, you REALLY need to use the right prompts, or some of the information you receive may be incomplete or misleading. For instance, it may not provide you information pertinent to special populations (ie pregnancy), unless you think to ask for this specificity. I also found that when asking about treatment options, it may provide options but will not go into details of the risks associated with these options unless specifically prompted. I also noticed it will sometimes generate information that is not fully correct if the prompt is too general. For instance I typed “magnet runaway pacemaker.” I expected to get information on the runaway pacemaker condition and how to use a magnet to stabilize it. But what I got was “A magnet runaway pacemaker refers to a malfunction of a pacemaker that results in erratic and rapid pacing due to the inappropriate activation of the device’s magnet response mode.” I think this will eventually be an incredible application of AI for as a tool for medical practice. Looking forward to future updates.

It is known that AI provides inaccurate information. This app isn't an exception. This app is actually particularly dangerous due to it being marketed as a tool for health professionals. This app will result in patients being neglected further due to it pulling from outdated and inaccurate medical journals. CBT isn't an adequate treatment for CFS and AI isn't an adequate replacement for looking at medical research yourself. If you're a doctor using this you should be ashamed that you're risking the health and wellbeing of your patients just to make your day a little bit easier. If you don't know about something a patient comes to you for, tell them you don't know. Tell them you'll find someone to help. Don't type it into an app and act like you helped someone.

Probably 90% of the time when I ask this app a question, it gives me a generic error message saying that my question was "outside the scope of OpenEvidence" (because apparently this app can't recognize context like ChatGPT can). If you have a **very** basic question, this app might work for you. But if your question has literally any depth whatsoever, searching on PubMed and reaching your own logical evidence-based conclusions (or just paying for and using ChatGPT) is probably going to be 100 times more helpful than using OpenEvidence. Very mediocre and lackluster from my personal experience.

I was given this website by Cardiology Made Easy program. I was able to set up email and password. However, unable to set up an account. It asks for occupation and mine is listed but it keeps asking for an NPI number. Why is it asking an RN for an NPI? I have no problem proving I’m a nurse and my credentials. I can’t give a true star rating since I can’t even get past enrollment.
