*** Most downloaded Contraction Timer app in the world! Number 1 in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy and elsewhere! ***
This is the simplest-to-use contraction timer. The app will help to track your contractions and determine when it's time to go to the hospital.
If you plan on having a home birth, the app will tell you what stage of labor you are in at any given moment.
Keep track of your labor by tapping a single button at the start and at the end of each contraction. The Contraction Timer analyzes the duration and frequency of contractions and will notify you when it's time to go to the hospital.
Thousands of pregnant women around the world have become mothers using our app.
Always consult your doctor to orient yourself in terms of contraction frequency and duration.
This app is not a medical device and our recomendations are based on standard indicators. Your labor may occur differently. Therefore, do not rely exclusively on our app.
If the duration and frequency of contractions do not yet correspond to the necessary indicators but labor pains become unbearable, it is better to go to the hospital as soon as possible rather than give birth at home or on the way there. Trust what your body is telling you.

Amazing appThis is an amazing app! I was notified when to pack my hospital bags and within hours when to go to the hospital. I loved the ability to delete a contraction time after accidentally pressing the button. Thankfully, I was able to take naps between contractions and even with forgetting to press the stop contraction button it was able to still give me accurate readings. Unfortunately, I did not go to the hospital on the first alert, however, after many alerts to go to the hospital, I finally made my way to the hospital the next day. At 10 that morning, I went to get my cervix checked finding that I had a very high pain tolerance and was told that I was 7cm dilated. With this app, I was able to show the nurse when my contractions first started the following evening and all my contraction times I had up until I arrival. I was admitted into the labor room, went natural with no medication and had my daughter two hours later. Thank you for making an accurate and reliable app.š.Version: 2.8.8
Helped me tremendouslyWith my first two pregnancies I was induced. So I was already hooked up to IVās before my contractions kicked in. With my latest pregnancy I knew I wanted to bring on labor myself, but I was not aware of how to count my contractions. This app took the guess work out of it for me. On the day I went into the hospital, I was walking around target and curb walking in the plaza(to naturally induce labor) I tracked my contractions and it told me when I needed to start getting my things together (they were already in the car) and when to go to the hospital. I waited maybe another 45 minutes to be sure the alert was legit and continued counting. On the second go to the hospital alert I was On my way! Got to the hospital and delivered 9 hours later! Thankful for this technology. **SN. Since this app will mostly be downloaded on a phone, try to not go to another app or doing anything to distract you after you pressed contraction started. I forgot to press stop contraction a FEW times.Version: 2.8.13
This app is a Life Savior!I crossed my due date and 3 days later I started getting my labor pain. But I was not sure if itās a true labor and didnāt want to end up in Emergency Room and being sent back home for false labor. So I kept tracking the timing of contraction but it was difficult to analyse. And during that time, I found this app in App Store, since it had high ratings and good reviews, I wanted to give a try. I started recording my contraction timings for 2 hours continuously. Initially it was prompting me to get ready for the hospital. And at a point of time, it prompted me to go to hospital multiple times. We trusted this app and rushed to the hospital, and voila! That was a true labor and I was 6cm dilated already :) Canāt thank this app enough when it was a critical time and when we were confused to make a decision! I highly recommend to use this app!.Version: 2.8.12
So thankful for this appThis app was so very useful to me. My brother found it for me and I paid the $2.99 to include the extra features. I had been having a lot of contractions for several months, so I was like how in the world am I supposed to know when I am actually IN labor?? Well I had been using this to record my contractions, and the night I was actually starting real labor, I was not sure at all, I just kept recording on this app. Then, about 1am, the app alerts me to call my doctor and get ready to go to the hospital. I paged her and she called me back immediately. I read her the results from the app and she said yes it was time to come in. We grabbed the older kids and made some phone calls and by 2:30am I was admitted into the hospital and it was confirmed I was in active labor. My son was born by 8am. Best 3 dollars I ever spent, seriously! Thank you to the one who created the app..Version: 2.6.3
God sent!Being a first time mom I didnāt know what contractions were suppose to feel like and so I was cramping one night . I was 37 weeks , was already 3 cm dilated but was told Iād be induced in a week. I didnāt know how to track my contractions or what that meant so when I was cramping I downloaded the app real fast and started to time them . After 4 recorded times the app said ā GO TO THE HOSPITAL NOWā I still didnāt believe it so I called my doctor. My doctor said ā if you feel like they are bad then go ā we lived an hour away from our hospital so I told my husband Iād rather go now while itās cramp your instead of unbearable. I was fully convinced it was Braxton hicks and Iād be sent home. Got there , they checked me , I was dilated to a 5 !!!! They said they were glad we got there when we did ! Super thankful for this app.Version: 2.8.8
Helped tremendously with my labor!I paid for the full version of this app and couldnāt be happier. I was having Braxton Hicks my entire 9th month so it was important to have a tracker. On the day I went into labor I was tracking my contractions all day and that was the only reason I could see how patterned they were. When they got to every 5 minutes, I got a warning saying I should get ready to go to the hospital, so we did. I kept tracking. By the time we were ready I got another notification that it was time to go to the hospital. I still called the hospital to make sure, and because I didnāt āsound like I was in laborā they hinted at me staying home longer but I went anyway. By the time I got there I was already 6cm dilated! It was absolutely perfect timing thanks to this app šš¾.Version: 2.8
No Apple Watch compatibilityI didnāt want to give this app a bad rating because I didnāt use it. Im sure itās great based on its popular reviews. I deleted it immediately because thereās no compatibility with the Apple Watch. I downloaded one that is compatible, however I wanted to plant an idea seed with this company because itās prettier than the other. It would be nice to have the compatibility with the Apple Watch AND have a Apple Watch face so that when a contraction begins thereās no scrambling mid-contraction to find the phone/watch and start it 15 seconds into the contraction because you werenāt open on the right screen. That would be the most effective and convenient during this time in my opinion. :).Version: 2.8
Got the job doneWhen I first started going into labor my husband was tracking my contractions with the stop watch on his phone. "You know there are apps for that?" I said. "This is working fine," he said. Fast forward to an hour later when I was in active labor and the contractions were coming hard and fast. My husband got up to get me some water and handed me MY phone. "Push this big button when your next contraction starts." I look down and he had downloaded a contraction app! When I pointed this out he said that it was way too much to try to keep track of with a stop watch and notepad. The app itself is very easy to use. You push the big button when a contraction starts and you push it again when it stops. Super easy for even a woman in active labor to do. I didn't realize it, but apparently every few contractions it was telling my husband to take me to the hospital! When we finally went I only labored for about an hour before I was fully dilated and started to push, so the app seemed to be spot on. It's nothing fancy, but it got the job done and in the chaos of labor we needed something super simple..Version: 1.2
Amazingā¦it really works!!I was only 32 weeks and 6 days pregnant when I started having contractions. I wasnāt sure if they were Braxton hicks or real contractions, so I downloaded this app. It told me right away that I should start preparing to go to the hospital. I was in denial but I could see that my contractions went from 5.5 minutes apart to 4 minutes apart. Still in denial, I called the on-call doctor, and he said it was probably nothing but I could go in to get checked if I wanted to ease my mindā¦the whole time the app was telling me to head to hospital now. When I got to the hospital I was already a 7! I couldnāt believe how accurate this app was. Iām so relieved and thankful that I downloaded it..Version: 2.8.8
Great Tracker Easy To UseI downloaded this tracker as I was near my expected due date. It was simple and just what I needed. Writing times and counting down on your own is too much hassle when your going into pre labor or active labor. This app is a must have when youāre close to going into labor. They give you a notice after 5 -6 consecutive trackings on whether to go to or call the hospital or stay home as itās not close enough yet. With the tracker listings, it was easy to tell the nurse when and how long the contractions were. I recommend this app to anyone whose near their expected delivery date. It worked great for me and I would use it again in the future. Wishing everyone the best..Version: 2.8.8
Simple and easy to useFound the simplicity really useful when my contractions started. I would just recommend to developers to work on the algorithm (or remove the feature) where the app tells you if youāre having real or Braxton hicks contractions. I kept getting notified that I was having Braxton hicks when I was definitely, definitely having real contractions. For most women, contractions arenāt so exactly consistently spaced out so I suspect itās an overly sensitive algorithm or something. Otherwise, really liked the app and would recommend! Anyway best thing to do is call the hospital to know when to go in rather than rely on any app for that info..Version: 2.8.8
Delivered with this app!I was using another app to track my contractions and was getting so stressed out/confused as what to do and if they were real contractions. I called the hospital and doctors office which told me different things to try and gave me tips. I downloaded this app after seeing it in a group. I love the average frequency and length feature!! I had thought mine were farther apart with the other app but in fact they were close! Within 4 contractions the app suggested I get ready for the hospital. I stayed home for a bit longer and it kept notifying me to get ready until finally it said time to go! When I got to the hospital I was 3cm and delivered the next day!.Version: 2.8.4
This app saved me!My labor started at 5am. And my contractions started out at 5mins apart. I had prodromal labor with my first daughter, and I was convinced that I was experiencing the same thing again. But I downloaded this app about 2 hours into labor, just to help me time my contractions. After about 4 contractions, the app told me to go to the hospital. (Keep in mind, it was only 7am at this point). Despite my doubt, I headed to the hospital and gave birth less than an hour after being there. If it wasnāt for this app, I would have had my baby at home or in the car! Lol. Also, Itās super easy to use - no learning curve at all. Love it!.Version: 2.8.13
Saved LaborI would of had a home birth if this timer didnāt tell me to go to the nearest hospital. This was my second pregnancy and I woke up at 2 in the morning thinking I had to use the bathroom, I was uncomfortable but not in any pain. I downloaded the first timer that popped up and it happened to be this one so I was going about timing what I was feeling. The notification for head to the nearest hospital kept popping up and I finally decided to listen to it after 30 minutes. I was 5cm and in active labor at our arrival and had our sweet baby girl 3 hours later. Download this timer!.Version: 2.8.12
OutstandingI was referred to this app from an expecting parent GC. The first time I used the app was 5 days prior to me going into labor. On the day I went into labor I used this app at 4 AM and the app informed me to Head to the hospital, when I got to the hospital I found out I was in labor! I had my baby by that afternoon! With it being my first child I wasnāt sure if I was having contractions or counting them correctly on my own but I will say with this app and it notifying me to head to the hospital Iām glad I downloaded it because I had to travel far to the hospital and risked going into labor home!.Version: 2.8.15
The free version has some issues, but is goodSo this app is great. I helped me to keep track of my contractions and gave me a record to bring to the hospital. My issue with this app is that when you have to free version, it has a sneaky extra black ring around the start contraction button so that when you are trying to look at the record, you might accidentally push it. When you do that you start a contraction and mess up your average. In order to delete it or change it you have to pay for it. That just seems deceptive to me. Other than that I love that you can easily start and stop contractions, see your record and average, and rate the severity of the contraction..Version: 2.8.12
Useful and worth the purchaseI used this with my first 2 babies and will be using it with my 3rd. Im glad i paid for it the first time cause now i just download it again when I go into labor. Everytime its told me to go to the hospital it was correct. Both times I questioned it and waited and by the time I went I was in PAIN and impatiently waiting for an epidural. I would say its useful for people who plan to have multiple or arent on birth control, also moms who havent had a natural birth. I thought id go natural both times unfortunately I was too craven haha..Version: 2.8.12
Awesome app got us to the hospital on timeIām always weary of these apps with perfect scores, but this no frills app worked great for timing my wifeās contractions and got us to the hospital just in time. Healthy baby was delivered 5 hours after it told us to leave for the hospital. I did buy the $3 in app upgrade because it seemed like a no brainer cost. Definitely would recommend to friends, family, and internet strangers. Thanks to the developers for this simple to use app. It immensely helped us navigate a scary experience :) Good luck to the parents reading this!.Version: 2.8.7
LABOR MUST-HAVESo I never write reviews⦠but this app was a saving grace during the early stages of my labor. After my water broke, I didnāt want to immediately go to the hospital so I used this app to track every contraction (length and frequency) so I knew when it was time to go. On top of that, the app notifies you (based on your stats) of when it thinks you should go to the hospital. That way you donāt have to analyze the data yourself. Iām so so glad I had this for my birth. I will definitely be recommending it to other birthing parents..Version: 2.8.15
Worth the purchase! This app was recommended to me through a friend who recently had a baby and i was due soon. Started having contractions, used this app to track them. It eventually told me go to the hospital and so I did and had my baby not even 3 hours later! As a first time mom, I probably would have tried holding out longer at home if it wasn't for this app! So grateful that an app was actually worth it and made it to the hospital in time. I'm highly impressed!.Version: 2.8.12
AmazingThis app was very helpful. It helped give my sister-in-law something to focus on through her contractions on our way to the hospital. The clean interface and large buttons allowed for ease of use. Unlike other comments we found it comical when it told us to head to the hospital bc we were already en-route but it does appear to have been up-dated to follow the 5-1-1 rule of thumb. My sister-in-law was very disappointed to find that it wasn't available in the Google Playstore for her future use..Version: 1.2
App is great but nearly impossible to close adsThe app is great and works perfectly for timing contractions. I used it as a first time mom and found it extremely helpful and easy. My issue is with the ad pop ups, they are nearly impossible to minimize/close because the exit button is at the very top right of the iPhone screen. I had to tap over 30+ times to close each ad each time and some times my next contraction would already be happening. This affects the functionality of what the app is meant to do and should really be improved..Version: 2.8.15
Very convenientThe screen doesnāt go off, when itās pulled up, doesnāt have constant annoying advertisements like other contraction apps, I give 4 stars, because you can edit a contraction only if you buy full version, but when having contractions hit the button by accident a couple times. And this app also doesnāt record at what time when you were having the contractions, some other apps had that, so that would be nice to add, to be able to look back through the whole day at the time and intensity of the contractions..Version: 2.4
Great App!Used this app a few days ago while I'm labor. I love the clean design and the large button tap for the start and stop of contractions. Very easy to use. The updates about when to pack or leave for the hospital were also an added bonus that I appreciated. The only thing I would have liked was for there to be some way to see what time the contraction actually happened. As I'm trying to think back to when I was actually in "active" labor, I'm realizing that information would have been helpful. That aside! Definitely get this app..Version: 1.2
10/10!I donāt write reviews, this is my first review on hereā¦. With that being said this app is everything I used it with both of my kids, And it worked amazingly. I just had a baby and when my contractions was consistent the app told me to go to the hospital and when i did I had my baby the same day ! Same with my first son , if youāre pregnant and almost due I recommend this app 1000% ! Itās helpful.Version: 2.8.12
Good for timingThis was a great app for keep track of the spacing of contractions and length of each contraction. The interface was attractive and easy to use and read under pressure. My labor came on hard and fast so it was great to be able to see really how quickly everything was happening. The app did tell me to go to the hospital earlier than my OB advised. I would just lose that feature. Each pregnancy and doctor's advice is different. I ignored the alerts and followed my OB's advice. I would defiantly use this app again and recommend it..Version: 1.2
GET TO THE HOSPITALI bought his app in advance of my daughterās birth to help keep track of contractions. We were a week and a few days late but the minute the contractions came this app took out all the guesswork and let us know when we should get to the hospital and it was right. My only note is that I wish there was a running counter on the right side to show you the distance between contractions to give you a heads up that another one could be coming. Worth the price..Version: 2.8.14
Amazing and accurateIt worked for my friend and worked the night I went to the hospital. Very easy and pretty accurate and let me know I may need to pack my bags soon for the hospital. I continued to use this into the evening and it alerted me I needed to go to the hospital and sure enough within 45 min I had full on heavy contractions and am so glad I went to the hospital since I felt nothing really at home ! Loved this app and it was so useful !!!.Version: 2.8.1
Great toolI used this app for about two weeks to make sure I was keeping the right track. It kept saying practice contractions and it calmed me down On the day of, it said to prepare and call the hospital. We did, so we were ready to go. Then, it prompted me to go to the hospital. I went to pee and what was left of my mucus plug came out. So I woke up my husband and got to the hospital. Three hours later, my baby was born. This app really helped me to come in at the right time and not freak out before hand.Version: 2.5
By far the best and easiest! This app helped me when other ones I started then prompted to upgrade and pay this was free, quick, simple and exactly why I needed. Once it said to call my doctor and head to the hospital I did just that and the Dr asked questions I only knew because the app helped me track it. So I was able to correctly track my contractions in the middle of the night while I wasn't aware of timing and have it exactly documented. This is the best app!.Version: 2.6
Great App, I would definitely recommend!I honestly love this app. It has helped me keep up with my contractions, which makes it easier when I go to the hospital for labor so I can let them know how far apart they were. This is very helpful, for anyone whoās looking for a contracting app to keep track of them, I DEFINITELY recommend this one. By the way 40 weeks today so this has been extremely helpful..Version: 2.8.12
Extremely helpfulIntuitive, robust, well-designed. It allowed me to track my wifeās contractions and it indicated that we needed to go to the hospital at the perfect time. We showed up with her in active labor, didnāt get sent back home or told we were too early. Highly recommend it. Easy to use under stress and allows deleting entries in case of an error or an oddball one that is super irregular or something..Version: 2.8.8
Really helpfulAt the begging I had been getting the āget ready ā screen but I was just ignoring it since I had gone the day before to my appointment & I was 0 dilate & wanted me to deliver in 1 1/2 week since baby didnāt seemed to be dropped either. I thought the app was a scam or something & didnāt really wanted to go to the hospital and get send back but my bf ended up taking me & I was 2 dilated & in 4 hours I was 8cm and I had her in 2 hours . I recommend this app.Version: 2.0.1
BlessingSeriously this app saved me from delivering my second son in the car! I thought I had time yet, based off my first delivery, when it told me to go to the hospital I was going to wait. My partner insisted that if the app said to go we are going and it's a good thing too because we were at the hospital less than an hour and my son was born! Simple and easy to use and understand, which is everything you want going into labor! A++++.Version: 1.2
Really helped! This timer really helped when I needed it and couldnāt think for myself, was so easy to track my contractionsā¦highly recommend. Was accurate on the average contractions but stay true to how you feel when ready to go to hospital vs. it telling you. Liked the āwarningā to get ready but got a few of them before I was actually near 511 rule..Version: 2.8.8
Pretty good app! Wish there was a way to add/editI really do like this app. Itās simple, straightforward, nice looking. The only thing itās missing that would make paying for it completely worth it is the ability to add data and make it easier to edit. I have missed a few where Iāve been away from my phone and there isnāt a way to add in a contraction after the fact. This skews the data and makes it less accurate..Version: 2.8.7
Minimum viable productBest UI out there - very simple & straightforward. I really like this one & am using it over the other two I downloaded. That said; is is definitely bare bones 3 basic missing features: if I hit the button by accident, then delete the accidental contraction, it should fix the "duration" time -- i.e., if I have a contraction at 10:10, bump the button accidentally at 10:05, then have another contraction at 10:10, then delete the middle one... the duration between the two "real" contractions should be 10 minutes, not 5. I should be able to update the length of a contraction. And I should be able to rate "strength" ... those seem the major missing features to me, but overall the app is usable, has a nice clean UI, and isn't annoying. Definitely worth a try, especially if you just want the basics :).Version: 1.2
Good but missing one key thingI might be wrong- but I canāt find how to link the app with my partners. That would be really helpful because sometimes Iām at work, and if I want to track them myself I can, but if Iām home or in hospital it would be easier for me to tell my husband to do it and have them both linked so we could see all of it together.Version: 2.8.13
Pretty decent in a basic wayHonestly overall it's nice, but owning it is almost no different than free and you can't do a separate session. Which may sound silly but I can't link my email into my phones mail settings as I use a non supported email. So I can't even export my data... and it doesn't tell you the overall start time and end time nor does it let you "pause" It says to potentially shower and eat but to do so you may not be recording contractions... overall it's simple to use which I like but a little disappointing..Version: 2.6.2
Saved me!I wasnāt familiar with counting contractions even though this was my second child. This app told me when to start heading to the hospital and thankfully I listened because five hours later I had my little one safely in a hospital with just enough time to receive an epidural! This app literally saved me from a traumatic birth story and gave me the reassurance to show to a busy ER (during a pandemic) at midnight!.Version: 2.8.6
Great, but rename the app! This was a wonderful way to keep count when my attention was so fully consumed with the contractions. However, after a bit a message from the App Store to rate the app asked āHow are you enjoying Contractions?ā I almost threw my phone across the room! Loved the app, not the pain! By all means, use this to take the thinking part out of labor, but let someone else rate the app when the message comes up :).Version: 2.5
100% worth the priceUsed it to monitor my wifeās labor at home prior to the hospital. It gave a heads up on when to get ready (shower, etc.) and told us when to go in. We arrived to L&D at 3 cm dilated and just before much larger contractions started and were promptly admitted. You can measure contractions yourself with a timer, but having an app that removes the āthinkingā during this very stressful time was well worth it..Version: 2.8.10
Helped with the birth of two of our daughters!Great app, itās helped us with the birth of two of our daughters! Gets the job done..Version: 2.8.8
AwesomeVery helpful and easy to use.Version: 2.8.14
Loved the appHighly recommend this app! It comes so handy for mummas and families to keep track of contractions. It does the work for you so that you can accurately record keep. An angel thought of this..Version: 2.8.14
10/10 recommendUsed this with my second born, super easy to use & told me exactly when I needed to go to the hospital for birth and was very spot on. I have recommended to many of my friends who recently had children..Version: 2.8.12
Early reviewIām rating this before I go into labour in hopes to avoid being asked when Iām in immense pain, like the other reviews state! š.Version: 2.8.13
GreatWorks great.Version: 2.8.12
Worked Great!Worked Great! Worth the extra couple bucks to get the full version.Version: 2.8.12
Good but pop upsUseful but it keeps asking for a review while I am in labour.Version: 2.8.12
Contraction TimerIt timed my contractions!!!.Version: 2.8.12
Good if you payUseful with the caveat that youāll need to pay for the premium app. Otherwise the pop up ads will interfere with your counts..Version: 2.8.10
Worked perfectlyWhat more could you want..Version: 2.8.8
HoyoRating now.Version: 2.8.8
Review request during LaborMaybe it would be better to not have a request for reviews right after most contractions? Like, Iām busy, OBVIOUSLY! The timing and warnings to contact your provider, or head to the hospital were reassuring. App did what it was supposed to. Was just annoying to have to close a review window before prepping for another contraction..Version: 2.8.8
Review so stops askingFine.Version: 2.8.8
Not compatible with Apple Watch?I like the interface of the app and how easy it is to use it on the phone. Even with the free version Iām able to track the length of the contractions and the intensity. Unfortunately, the app is not compatible with the Apple Watch which is inconvenient since I barely carry my phone with me around the house. So I end up not being able to track accurately..Version: 2.8.8
Hopefully it works wellIām waiting for my contraction. Hopefully it works well..Version: 2.8.8
Best contraction app.My daughters birth progressed pretty quickly. The app let me know when to head to the hospital. Thank you!.Version: 2.8.6
Perfect for the Dadās who have no idea!!!!This app is perfect for the dads who has no idea but wants to help..Version: 2.8.1
Itās an useful applicationUseful app.Version: 2.7.2
Good but pushing notifications during useIt keeps asking me to rate the app while Iām trying to time a contraction. Not the greatest time to do that..Version: 2.8
Super helpful!I was able to go to hospital on the right time because of this app. It helped me a lot to be aware of my labor progress so I highly recommend the use of this app..Version: 2.7.2
Great app!I love this app, it makes it so much easier to focus on your labour, yourself and your baby and not have to worry about calculating how long/how appart contractions are. The design is simple and easy to use, I definitely recommend..Version: 2.7.2
Great appEverything you need to track Your contractions.Version: 2.7.2
Best app!Best app whatsoever! My favourite feature is long term tracking and being able to delete a contraction! The deletion is a life saviour.Version: 2.7.2
