MyZio App Comments & Reviews
MyZio Positive Reviews
ZIOSeems to be working well. It’s so easy you don’t even know your are wearing it. It seems to stay stuck I just hope I can remove it without hurting my skin. One improvement they could make to the design is, they ask when you have and episode two press the button on the face and then log it either in a book or the Internet. I chose the Internet. The two problems I see are if you choose the book it’s too big to fit in your pocket. you may not have it with you when you need it because of that. The second problem is the unit itself. It may just be the unit I have, but it’s hard to tell when you press the button during an episode whether or not it actually worked meaning the switch the button is not as definitive on and off as it could be. My real thoughts are if this thing works and we can get my medication’s in wine I’ll be very very happy. Would I try it again? If the doctor requested it you bet it’s simple it’s easy!.Version: 2.1.0
Customer service support and data logI was trying to troubleshoot why the app had not registered any button presses in 4 days of wearing it. The guy hung up the phone and never called back. I know that is a phone issue but I never would have called had the app not displayed button presses correctly. It is now working correctly. I do wish the data log would pop up to write down what you were feeling/ doing during event would pop up on its own. The last thing I want to do when not feeling well is login or get search stuff. I would love this feature as when you feel crumby you just don’t feel like messing with anything. I do love it gives the option for entry on phone instead of toting a notebook around or having to transfer notes from phone to paper. I think if it were approached of what would I want from this app if I had the worst stomach bug of my life feeling applied there could be remarkable additions. However it has not logged 3 days of button presses despite going through the steps of ensuring the flashing green lights are telling me it is in fact working properly. Just praying this leads to figuring out next steps for my health effectively and it isn’t being lost in traslation in the abyss..Version: 2.2.1
Oh how getting old is not funTechnology has come so far these days I wear this nickel size button over my heart with adhesive stickers and yea you can shower just after 24 hours even though I still did the same day I just held my shower handle in hand to not hit my zio. Well isn’t this nifty all I do is press the button when I’m having any off feelings and EVEN THOUGH ITS RECORDING 24/7 It kinda highlights these moments for the cardiologists so they know what your feeling. Then you open your phone hit this app and bam it literally gives you all the options needed to log your info and to my surprise the lady attaching this device also made me aware that if the company noticed any kind of weird things going on with my heart that would cause immediate need to alert the company automatically alerts my PCP PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN THAT REFERRED ME. ISNT THAT COOL. I LOVE THIS THING IT KINDA MAKES ME WANNA WEAR IT ALL THE TIME LETS ME KNOW SOMEONE HAS MY BACK. THANKS MYZIO!!.Version: 2.0.2
Easiest Heart MonitorThe MyZio heart monitor easily applies with one sticker and one small button device. Unlike bulky monitors of the past that had wires and a large battery/recording box, this Zio is smaller than the circumference of a quarter. No wires. No bulky battery pack. The tiny device is applied with the two flat electrode-type sensors built into the fabric feel of the sticker. The entire size including the small MyZio button to press when feeling symptoms is no longer than the average hand. When a patient feels a cardiac symptom, the simple Face Log On enabled app records accurately in 2-3 clicks. This device is worn for 14 days and is water resistant. Simply cover with a plastic bag to shower. Easy! When done mail the sensor back in the provided box right from your own mailbox. Nothing could be easier for patients and their cardiologists. Great job MyZio..Version: 2.1.1
Good log option for usersMyZio is much easier and using the written log. As for the unit, I’ve used Zo more than once, and this particular option has an adhesive that fails quickly. My first unit fail after three days of use and they had to send me another one. Nursing appointment reattached the second unit and after the 26th hour at two after slight sweating fell off. I am now relegated to using paper tape to secure the unit. I’ve talked with two irhythm technicians help me to reset the unit and assuring me that it’s working so they cannot check to make sure that it is. It was the second rep that told me that they were aware of the adhesive problems that I was not alone. So, I would think that going forwardmay go back to adhesive that you used in previous versions that did not fail so easily. That’s my two cents worth as a user..Version: 2.0.2
Wearing a heart monitorI used to hook up these kind of monitors abt 20 years ago and they were so difficult for the patient bc there were so many wires. They would always fall of then they would have to redo the test. Plus having to write down everything you do from the time you get it on till it’s taken off. Being able to log everything on the app is so nice. No paperwork. Plus the fact that it in NO wires at all. Having to were it for 7 days would be unbearable but this is gonna be a breeze..Version: 2.0.2
Can I delete this app now? This might seem like a common sense question, but I haven’t seen a single thing answer my question. Can I delete the app after the two weeks is up? I’ve mailed my patch back already, and am waiting on my results, but do I need to keep the app until my results come back? There was also no clarification as to whether or not there was a limit as to how many entries you get. It says it’ll only show your doctor 50 entries, but can you enter more? I only entered exactly 50, so I never found out, but it made me very nervous at the beginning that I’d have a limit. Obviously there’s the customer service line, but that’s not always accessible for everyone and would be better to have some sort of online messaging service for customer service, or a more in depth FAQ page..Version: 1.6.3
Decent appMakes it much easier to log symptoms when they occur. The only limitation is the amount of text you can enter in the detail section. That’s fine with me. I’m keeping a separate log for anything I need to go into detail for. If I had to log each incident in the book that comes with the device I probably wouldn’t do it so it’s worth it to install the app. I had trouble registering my device from my iPhone 13, whether I entered the serial number manually or tried to use the scanner. I was able to register it from my iPad Air by manually entering the serial number. Not that this is the place to rate the device itself but I like this better than using a Holter monitor. The only downside is where the device is stuck to your chest can itch..Version: 1.6.0
Good but could be betterI had a three day heart check with MyZio. The product itself, Zio’s Heart Monitor, was easy to get started, prep skin, put on, keep on, and use to trigger any signals or signs of heart rate disruption. 5stars for the product. The app, is where Zio fails to deliver. One would think an app corresponding to a stellar product would work while being tested. One morning I triggered multiple alerts while working out. I stopped, opened app to log event & details, easy enough, but the app stopped working after I triggered an alert. Frozen app, wouldn’t get me past the time entry. I tried multiple times to log previous events and to change time. The point of the app is using it instead of the paper version and definitely not both. By the time I deleted & reinstalled app, twice because of multiple failures and freezing, I forgot the exact time and details. I wound up using the book, in addition to the app bcuz of app failures to log alerts. I prefer the app over using paper and pen. I don’t always have a pen and carrying a book is cumbersome. Especially when I’m actively working out. Three stars because it finally opened and worked a few times..Version: 2.1.1
Great idea, miserable experience at first… but it got betterUpdate after 14 days: The experience was better after the first few days and some modifications. I used a medical tape to keep the pads on, and that helped a lot. Once I had to worry less about it falling off, things were easier. It’s definitely a better experience than the OG tape deck heart monitor, and a lot easier to note any events with the button and the app. But still: Zio people, PLEASE add extra tape or replacement stickers to the kit. And maybe try a proactive blinking to tell you things are recording right rather than no lights at all? Changing my original 1 star review to 4. Way better than wearing a tape deck, but could still be dramatically improved. Original: The monitor started coming off on day 2. It’s been a constant hassle since then and it’s only day 4. It fell off completely today and gave no indication there was a problem. It’s supposed to blink if it loses connection, but I literally had it in my hand and it wasn’t blinking. It should ship with replaceable stickers. 14 days with one set of stickers is bound to fail..Version: 2.1.1
Clever design but confusing diary text processAppreciate how neatly nurse prepared & affixed monitor over heart. Like the choices of keeping written or WP diary of Med events; but ZIO app is like 150-char style on low-range laptops w/o ability to easily change entries. Also beware of extreme itching in shaved area (after 3 days for me); called Cust support for permission to stop in day 4. Called today for perm to return unit though I didn’t push orange start button; agent confirmed that nurse had done that after installing so file should contain 4 whole days of heart activity. Cardiologist warned that, if no abnormalities are found on next images, he may implant 3-month tracker in arm. Until further notice, avoid gym (where I had fainted after 30 min light workout 10 days ago) & driving. Hydrate, avoid sugar/salt etc..Version: 1.6.0
Many problemsThis is my 2nd Zio. The 1st one fell off within hours of the hospital nurse applying it Friday night. That weekend if fell two more time. Finally no sticky stuff at all. They sent me a new one immediately. This is day two of my second Zio. I received what I determined what appeared to be an urgent email telling me to apply it and let them know it’s been applied. Can’t they tell it’s been applied since about 4 p.m. yesterday? Maybe not. I’m 76 years old and not computer savvy. I took me awhile to figure out how to write Zio’s requested evaluation. I’m very sure there are others in my space in their life. I’m really looking forward to being done with this. It’s stressful..Version: 2.1.1
Makes monitoring and recording SO easy!I was a nurse back in the olden days when patients had to wear great big monitors with a million wires getting caught in everything. Then they had to find a pencil and record their symptoms if they were feeling them. This is so much easier! All I have to do is poke the button on my chest and then open the app on my phone to record things so quickly and easily! I'm sure I am doing a better job of monitoring and recording than I would if I had to hand write it in a book..Version: 2.0.2
Great alternative to a Holter monitorQuick, easy, efficient alternative for continuous heart monitoring. Very small unit affixed to left chest with reliable adhesive, so you can shower and sleep undisturbed. Apply, after receiving by mail, wear for days to weeks as prescribed by physician, remove and return by US mail using attached mailing label. Very well written directions for application included. No fuss, no muss experience. Company prints out results and sends to prescribing physician for review. Well thought out and executed product from patient standpoint..Version: 1.6.3
A way to affix the monitorSo if you added a sheet of “second skin” the size of the box with a hole cut the just allows the white round portion of the monitor to poke through, it would stay affixed for the required duration. It could affix the second skin over the device. It wouldn’t itch as much either. Other than that the adhesive is irritating as it itches, but it doesn’t stay affixed. This would fix the issue and your product would be worth the time to put it on snd actually wear the monitor..Version: 2.1.1
Thoughtfully designed deviceJust completed my 2 week Zio monitoring. The instructions from step one of opening the box to applying the device to operating the device to then removal and returning the device IMO was most excellent. Zio team had patient in mind when designing. The app, text notices, type of adhesive (long lasting never came loose) to repackaging with even the little tape to seal the box was all thought out. Good product and hoping the device did its recording job equally well..Version: 2.1.1
My Zio MonitorInstructions don’t tell you whether you are to use new page for each incident? I.E. On 12/14, I experienced 4 incidents throughout the day and wrote everything on one page. A couple times I had a problem but was too sick to hit the button and/or make any entry until long after it happened because usually when I have an episode I lay down immediately and try to let it pass especially if I have taken Sublingual Nitro..Version: 2.1.1
My Partner the MonitorUser friendly; instructions clear, large print, color coded and all I needed to become partners with my monitor for two weeks. One thing I did to prevent water damage and itching was; cover with large water proof bandages (2) side by side. Cover the center of the bandages with a stripe of paper to prevent sticking to monitor. Wipe around area with alcohol wipe. Remove after shower. Worked for me! Return was just as easy. An over all pleasant experience Thanks for Caring!!.Version: 1.6.3
Customer Service is rude!!!I called them to let them know that I was forcefully removed from my house an hour after my hospital stay. I also explained that THEY (Hospital staff) never activated my device. I was told that it was always activated by the staff and that I am wrong. I literally can see it not showing anything on my app that I started downloading before becoming homeless because my Ex got upset that I was in the hospital in the first place and he had to take care of the child. They showed no sympathy. I told them I was having severe symptoms and just needed the serial number to activate my device. I was told that I would have to wait until the box arrives on 3 to 5 days because he cannot and will not give me the serial number. I found out MYSELF over GOOGLE how to activate my device without having the return box. Isn’t that exactly what I was just asking him to do? Very disappointing.Version: 2.1.1
Oh My ZioThis is the 2nd time I have used this app and heart monitor. Such an easy way to keep a record of the irregular events I experience. The Monitor is small and hardly noticeable. The app is simple to use and is a quick way to get my feedback to the cardiology team who get the test results read sooner which in turn leads to receiving a diagnosis and treatment plan in a short time. Much better than the old heavy halter monitor and handwritten notebook..Version: 2.0.2
Poorly designedThis app needs some work. First off, the date you put on the monitor defaults to the shipping date instead of when you told the app you put it on. I had to change it twice before it took. Secondly, specifying how long a symptom lasted shouldn’t be required. I don’t have a crystal ball! And the categories are not mutually exclusive. (1 minute is 1 hour or less, right?) Also, can’t they tell from the data how long it lasted‽ If Zio wants to encourage logging, they should make this app work on Apple Watch too..Version: 2.1.1
So smallWhen my doctor said I was to wear a monitor for 2 weeks I immediately thought of those rather bulky cumbersome old model ones! I was amazed at this technology and it made wearing it so easy! The only issue I had all on me was I would press button when experiencing an issue but was never able to log my exact issue and specifics sorry all on me :(. Redinthehills.Version: 1.6.3
Needs UI updateSomehow this app still uses screen dimensions of older iPhones and is not optimized for larger screens—I see black bars on top and bottom of the interface. Other than that it’s simple and intuitive enough. Would be great to be able to dismiss the message about calling 911 after logging each symptom—I imagine people are capable of understanding it the first time around. Maybe a “I understand, never show this message again” checkbox?.Version: 1.6.3
Zio woks well!In my second experience with the Zio patch, I found it works extremely well, especially in coordination with the phone app, which makes everything easier, more efficient and ultimately I assume more effective in examining and decoding the accumulated data. The convenience of this device is exceptional - and I’ve worn several devices over the years as I’ve had my afib diagnosed and essentially dealt with after a third and successful ablation..Version: 1.6.3
Very easy logging infoIt’s very easy to log in and record info and it is broken into categories so u can pick one plus you have other on there so when the categories doesn’t apply you can use the other selection. That way you can describe more in detail what you r doing and make it more easily understood to the person reading it.Version: 2.0.2
Some ThoughtsA lot better then heart monitors I’ve worn before, only downside is that as a bigger man it was harder to get the leads to stay on, when I moved around or laying it felt the device would come off my chest, also need some kind of tape to keep the leads down as it lost its grip barely into day 1 of 14.. but other then that ya barely feel it on ya, just wish it was Bluetooth or WiFi where I could personally see my heart beats and rhythms in real time, maybe down the line you would think of that...Version: 2.1.1
Intuitive app to track symptomsSimple app to quickly log / edit symptoms when i’m out and about and don’t have or want to carry a paper log book. Ability to trouble shoot on my own was nice by using the help section/ button in bottom right. I liked the countdown at the top to see how many days left i had to wear the device..Version: 2.1.1
Zio Heart MonitorI was prescribed to wear this monitor for 7 days. It was easy to put on and care for. Straight-forward instructions for when having symptoms and the logging process; in the booklet and in the app. Taking the monitor off and returning instructions were also easy. Now, we wait! Would definitely recommend this product to others. ~ JH.Version: 2.0.2
OK, but…The efforts made to simplify the app and process and product have made it so simple that it doesn’t fit for certain circumstances. What I mean is, I’ve had several accidental button pushes and there really is no good provision for that. The button actually pushes too easy. I wish it was more centered in the unit and you had to just push a small spot That’s the size of finger and it must be bigger than that the way it keeps getting pushed by accident..Version: 2.1.1
JWI’m happy with the Zio Long-Term Continuous Heart Monitor, because of the great app, and the comfort of the device. The symptom log on the app has been improved. Even if I need to record an event later, after it happens, the app allows me to do that. I was expecting to have a lot of skin problems from the adhesive, but it wasn’t a problem at all. I’m thankful for a very good experience..Version: 2.0.2
ZioDevices lite, sometimes you forget it’s there. I don’t like that you can’t take a full shower and I forget to write down or log some of my symptoms. You just forget to log them. You cannot log symptoms when you were in the store or when you’re driving or when you’re asleep at three in the morning. other than that I like that it’s tiny. And let you forget that it’s on your chest..Version: 2.0.1
Could be much betterI was excited there was an app to go with my heart monitor but it is lacking! The biggest problem is there is no way to edit button pushes. I have hit the button on accident 6 times and there is no way to add information to the log. I can’t go in to the entry to say why the button was pushed. This seems like a big flaw in the system. There should also be a way to edit accidental button pushes..Version: 2.1.1
I like the app not that I have a choiceSo the app is good. It needs a watch app. It would be nice to be able to do a verbal thing log to my AI also a before action not just a doing such as I was sitting for the last hour but started walking The lack of verbal is very frustrating for someone who has dyslexia also when you’re moving around and are having heart issues usually you don’t really have time to do a log in a verbal log nice.Version: 2.1.0
After the third day, the center part was loose it wasn’t against my skinThe girl told me I didn’t have to document the app did but I had recently a couple days before I had a right hand surgery and I told her this was not a good thing but she went ahead with it. I had anesthesia FOG brain I hope it worked, but might not have brain..Version: 2.1.1
Customer serviceI called because I had two issues and the customer service lady was absolutely wonderful. I was waiting so I could give her a great review and my phone got disconnected so if there’s anyway to give her a great review, please do I just got off the phone five minutes ago with her so it would be about 3:35.Version: 2.1.0
Great tool when it doesn’t have glitchesI used this last year when I did the Zio monitor. The book only holds 10 logs if I recall and I experience symptoms multiple times a day. Last time the bottom bar wasn’t black and the other under symptoms worked. I am doing another Zio patch now and it is annoying not being able to use other to add additional symptoms so I am having to add it in with the activity I was doing..Version: 1.6.2
