ThingsI used to use this app all the time before getting a phone. now that i have messages and i am able to talk to my friends, i don’t really use it anymore. I created a new account to talk to my brother when he is away because he doesn’t have messages or a phone/apple id yet so we have no way of communication when he is away besides this app. since i got it again there are just some things i’d like to talk about (mostly the problems that need fixing or just things that need to be changed) 1. Whenever someone is spam calling you (or just calling you in general) if you open the app then it just goes straight to the call and you’re not able to text the person calling you or anyone else until you decline the call or wait for the call to go away. It is very annoying and causes a lot of typos when that happens. 2. Whenever someone calls you and you answer, you can’t turn off your camera right as you answer. For facetime, when you are called, before you answer you have the choice to turn off your camera or flip it. Since this app is supposed to be used for kids who don’t have a phone or apple id to call/ text friends and family, some of these kids might be going through things where they don’t like their appearance. Turning off the camera right as you join the call should be added because it is very annoying not being able to turn off your camera when you want to. Messenger Kids Is Awesome!! 😎🤩 A few suggestions thoughI’ve been using Messenger Kids for a while now. I started using it when my cousin and best friend Olivia got it a few years ago to talk with her. We would text each other, call, and video chat quite a bit on the app. It works very well. The video chat feature is very good if you wish to see the other person’s face, and miss them and just want to talk longer than over text. It works pretty well most of the time but there are times when it is kinda glitchy and doesn’t work as well. For example, say you audio called someone, (no video camera), so you are talking to your friend, cousin, whoever, and all of a sudden the audio gets very quiet and starts sounding very faint. Then you can hardly hear the other person on the phone, and you have to eventually hang up the call and call them again. It can happen several times and is very annoying and inconvenient. Also, when you video chat someone, sometimes when you are on the call it just randomly pauses, glitches, or stops the video. That is also very annoying and inconvenient because then you usually have to call that other person several times again to get it to work. I wish that whoever made the app could fix these bugs because then the app would work a lot better. Overall it’s a very good and helpful app. I use it to communicate with my best friend Charlie and my young out of state cousins. I just wish the app developers who made this app could and would fix all those bugs and glitches. Thank you!.Version: 213.0
Good but some glitchesI’m a kid myself. I use this app for my friends who can only have messenger kids. I am a kid and I think it’s pretty fun to have. Some games are cheesy and lame to be honest. MESSENGER KIDS NEEDS TO SEE THIS ONE PART! The glitches are super bad. I don’t know if it’s just mine, but on my phone and iPad and my moms phone, it was super slow. Whenever my friends would text me it would give me a notification just like any other. When I got onto the app and looked at the messages it wouldn’t show. Then a week to a month will pass later and the same exact notification will pop up. I get on messenger kids and it finally shows me what my friends are up to a month ago. One night I’m just watching a show when I hear a buzzing noise. The noise was my phone ringing. When I pick it up it stops. It was from one of my group chats I had on messenger kids. When I opened the app up, it didn’t say anything. When you usually call it’ll say “Missed Call”. This time it didn’t say anything. It kept calling, and calling, and calling, and calling over, over, over, and over again. The only way I could get it to stop was by powering my phone down and turning it back on. Then about 30 minutes later, it started doing it again. The games are slow, everything is slow, everything’s glitchy. Everything’s messed up. If I honestly had a child, I wouldn’t give them messenger kids. I would give them iMessage with parent controls on it. My messenger kids reviewHello! I am going to tell you what i think of this app. For starters, its definitely helpful cause when i had my tablet, i used it and i only had my parents, and our group chat and own chats, then my best friend, and my cousin, and another friend, and also other people im not really friends with. it was very nice and i loved all the cool stickers that it gave me to use. Also, the facetime is really nice too. okay now for the things i need to have fixed. since now i have a phone, i need some assistance. First, i have added more people on it such as another friend of mine who i recently became friends with at the beginning of the school year, who does not have a phone but has a tablet, and my sister who does not have a phone but it very close. when lets say my friend i recently became with, texts me and sends me a pic of something like her dogs and then she says like this is so and so. thats two messages but on my home screen, it only shows one text. from her. and me sometimes when i send her something like maybe ill reply to her saying like how cute or something then ill go to another app or something and then ill still say one message from it and i go into it again and i didnt get texted. i have to go back into my chat with her and then go back out of it. last thing, i wish the facetime thing would be like regular like i see my friend's picture clearer and more closer. mine and hers are the same size i dont like that. thats all for now byeeee. 😘✌🏼.Version: 274.0
Pretty goodThis is a good app for children who don’t have phone numbers or can’t be trusted with a phone number I wish that if you were allowed to send links because sometimes my friends try and send me links it won’t work. I know you have to get your parent to approve it, but I think it would be easier if they were approved and not approved sites to send links from also please bring back the video call games. A lot of my friends don’t even know what they were and I miss them so much. They were very fun messenger kids is very easy and accessible. I wish it had a little bit more customization and maybe you could change the contact name not just a group chat. Overall, this is a pretty good app for anyone who wants to wait to communicate with friends that’s free. It’s a really good app I was suggest getting it if you or your friends don’t have phone numbers or a phone. You can use this on a tablet or computer well, at least I used on a computer in the past, but that’s not the point. It is a very good app and sometimes they can be glitchy depending on your device, but as long as you have a pretty good device, it should work well with no glitches or anything note to parents if you would like to look through your children’s texts it allows you to do that but it also will report anything mean or anything like that so don’t worry about that stuff so much or at least that’s what I read, but I’ve had this for a long time anyway have a great day!.Version: 287.0
Good but some recommendationsHi, I love using kids messenger to talk to all my friends and over all it’s an AMAZING APP. If you are a parent reading this just let your kids get it. It’s amazing I am a kid but I know about all the parent controls and they are really good. You get to choose who your kid gets to talk to and everything but back to my point, I don’t really like the newest update. When I got onto it it the appearance wasn’t as fun as usual. Like, your contacts were not in little bubbles any more and it looked like plain old boring messages. I think you should put in the settings to be able to choose the appearance. Also in the updated version (like I have) you don’t get to choose your emoji. When I first saw that I was so excited to see what it did and I liked it. But, when I got the updated version it didn’t have that option. Maybe like my other idea you can put an option in the settings if you want to be able to choose your emoji or not. Another thing is it gave me an option to see my friends contacts. That is kind of creepy like you are spying on who your friends talk to. I mean they do have to option to share it with you but still it’s kind of creepy. My last suggestion, say your friend has another friend that they want you to meet it only lets you make group calls or group chats if they are your contact too. It doesn’t work for me…So basically, I was trying to sign in and create the account when when I pressed create account, it did not work for some reason. I do not know why, but basically I was just trying to make my account and it wasn’t working. I don’t know why so if this is working for you, please don’t know if you if you want to. You can talk about what happened, but I really hope Messenger Kids can update it so like re-update it every month so I could get like better and better and better so I could make my account and start doing it better and stuff so I could be in the account and talk with my friends and stuff because it’s not working for me for some reason, but I had an old iPad and it worked for that but it’s not working for my new one. I do not know why I don’t know if you like, mine is not working because it’s not working for me. I’m really sorry. But no, it’s not working for me. Messenger kids is AMAZING but please a few recommendationsHello I have been using Messenger Kids for about a year now and I absolutely love it! It has so many fun games and stickers I also really love the filters. But I do have a few recommendations and a glitch as well. There is one glitch that happens to me quite a bit is sometimes if I send a thumbs up another one appears under it and wont go away. Other than that most glitches have been fixed. I wish there was a shop like one where you could use the points you earn in games to buy stickers filters or like special emojis for your picture. I also wish that there was a multiplayer mode where you could get on and play a game with your friend at the same time is them like for instance send them a link to this game in messenger and play at the same time with them like race them or see who can hit the most orbs or jump higher on frog leap something like that but at the same time. I also wish that in the video maker where you can add songs and fiters i wish you could hear audio too so if i talked you could hear it. I also wish there was more than fifteen seconds for the videos. One last thing is if you could like have a weekly vote for everyone using messenger for a new filter or game and then the one with the most votes would be added. Been a hot minute since I used this app and I loved itWhen I used this app I was probably in 3rd grade but now I’m in High School suffering yet surviving. Anyway, It was really good and it just kept getting better. Contrary to popular belief, I felt like Meta’s top priority of this app was privacy and online safety where parents are REQUIRED to have a Meta / Facebook account to monitor your child’s contacts, enable and disable features like games if you were to use Messenger Kids as a way to study with friends for example, and add more contacts. There is also safety features in place keeping inappropriate GIFs, Images, and Videos out of the mix. Also If your an adult, you don’t have to download Messenger Kids AT ALL to communicate with your kid, you can use the Messenger App or use Facebook built-in Messenger but the host parent has to approve you. So, if your a parent of the edge about random numbers texting your kid or you want an extra bit of peace of mind knowing who your kid is texting and what they are texting, download this app. And one more thing I’ve found the transition from Messenger Kids to normal iMessage to be fairly smooth as your kid gets into middle school and is begging you for a REAL phone I’d recommend in terms of money waiting til you or another family member gets a new phone, because there could be carrier deals. Or when they turn 13 and you as a parent feel that they are mature enough..Version: 273.0
A Few Suggestions On New UpdateFirst of all, I love this app, great for just about anything! A new update just came out where you can “Write A Song” there were just a few adjustments that I think would make that feature better. first of all I think that there should be a way to save the video like into your album. I say that because if you try and it says to somebody and then save it then it comes out really really blurry. Also I think another adjustment that could be made is so every time it says that you can make the front I like the album cover except every single time is it right now it doesn’t work. Lastly I think that there should be a search option for the songs because it’s really annoying to have to scroll and scroll and scroll to try to find a song that you’re looking for. I actually have two other things that I just now thought of one of which is that just about every 30 seconds whenever you’re making a video your screen turn black and that’s really annoying to have to go over there type of screen and then redo it. Also I think that there should be a countdown feature so that you know if you want to go somewhere instead of it being right in front of your phone that would be real helpful. I also think that it would be good if we could have more optional texts to make the text so that it can go away to. and that’s about all the problems that I found him on the new update other than that I think that’s about it. Developer please read thisI love this app and it is the best way to communicate for kids and sometimes it’s a little glitchy, but I can just fix it by recalling the group chat. I am 10 by the way, so I don’t know if it’s just me but I had this problem about three or four days ago and I’ve had this app for about four or five years. so me and my friends play this game called Roblox while calling on this app. So one day me and my cousins were calling and we were playing Roblox and suddenly I could only hear the music of the game. And when I’m calling, I can’t hear the music that well, but it was like full volume. And my cousins were not there anymore so I tried calling their names no response. So I went back into the messenger kids app, and I could hear them yapping away again. So I tried closing the Roblox tab and then rejoining, but I still couldn’t hear my cousins when I was playing the Roblox game. So then I said hey guys, can we just talk in the chat because my Roblox isn’t working right now maybe it’ll work tomorrow. So then I went to go update the Roblox game, but I just didn’t need an update. And then the next day I was calling with my friends and the same problem happened again. I do not know if it’s just me, but I really want this fixed because me and my friends play Roblox all the time while calling. So developer please read this and give me an answer why it’s not working. Great but a few things.Ok so I really love this app because I can talk to family and friends on FaceTime and not have to hand out a phone number which I would probably forget all the time but I found a few problems that really annoy me. The first was when I got messenger kids I was told to go on the missions tab and when I did it showed me how to do things and if I did one I got a badge but once I finished it it said come back later for more missions so the next day I did and it still had no missions and now I had this app for almost a year now and it still hasn’t given me any new missions. The second problem is when I am on a call with my friend either one of us is black or frozen and all these weird problems like someone is talking and then all of a sudden we can’t hear them. This is really annoying because if we both can’t hear each other we have to call back and it gets really annoying because after it happens once it starts doing it constantly. The last problem that I faced just started recently and has been super annoying. So my mom texts me and I try and text her back and the text says it couldn’t send. I look in my setting and at my internet and test to see if it happens a second time which it does. I really really am mad about this because my friends text me and then I cannot answer them back no matter how many times I try and then I cannot talk to them. This is one is my most major problems I had so far cause I cannot even send videos or pictures. Amazing but a few suggestions! (Safety Suggestions)I love using messenger kids to talk to my good friends, friends, and best friends! It is so fun! But I think it could be a useful feature if you were making a group with a couple friends, and a feature you could turn on in the settings location is if you want you or your parent to approve to let you in the group first, as in a safety feature, for kids and their parents. I know it’d be nice to be able to approve if I would want to be part of the group or not. Plus, parents should be able to be able to control what time messages send, like screen time, but for messages, so no one can text or call while you’re trying to sleep. I hope my point is getting across clearly, and if you a parent reading this, I highly suggest downloading messenger kids for your kids! I also suggest adding chat filtration, if someone said something inappropriate, it could be blocked out, kind of like how my parents don’t allow me to click links, and turned them off. But parents reading this, There are lots of safety features and fun filters! Messenger kids is super fun, and safe! You can block and report someone who is making you uncomfortable. This report/block is sent to an adult right away. Kids like me use the app to text my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family members, some of the safety features besides blocking is being able to approve friends! Messenger kids makes sure you are having fun, but safe on the internet! And this is beyond incredible for a kid’s video chatting app. I’ve had this app for so many years and it’s completely free! Pretty AWSOME!!!!I originally got this app when I was 9. It was the only “social” platform I could have at the time. Honestly I have been so happy with it ever since, I don’t even need it anymore but it’s fun to see what my younger cousins or younger friends are saying once and a while. Every week they add new games and new filters which is really nice! The only reason I gave this app a 4 star review is because of three things. One: you cannot call, only FaceTime. Wich is fine just you can’t turn off your camera so it’s hard sometimes! Two: every time someone turns on their phone you get a ding saying they are online. It is not to bad at first but if you have a cousin like mine who gets on every five mins, the notifications add up.... three: (this depends on settings) if you turn on your app too late it will say your app went to sleep, meaning you cant text, call, or do ANYTHING! Your parents can set the time on for when it goes to sleep, but the latest is 12:00. I think it’s stupid because I needed to call my mom once and they app would not let me open it!!I think the only thing that’s not that cool is that you can’t change your name. U can change they name of a group but not yours, it’s really wierd. Also you cannot use the app unless u have WiFi / internet! So if you need to call your mom and your not home, think again! Okay over all I give this app and 8/10, there is nothing truly wrong with the app just something’s that can get on your nerves! Needs a couple boundariesMy daughter gotmessenger kids we had good terms with it except when I was doing my work and she was upstairs doing online learning people kept Photo bombing me and it was just too much so we had it on her iPad but we deleted it on her iPad when she does online learning and so I was just sitting there trying to do my work and my phone kept buzzing and so I turned off the notifications and there’s this one point like I heard from the other parents that wrote reviews that like they started yelling and that kind of happened to me I raise my voice and they were on a phone call and I really feel like messenger kids and makes my daughter happy but it doesn’t really make me happy I really want my daughter to be happy but like it doesn’t make me that happy because likePeople kept bothering me like photo bomb me and there’s this one time when a random person just added her and then they kept photo bombing her I don’t know how I would go because they like if you go on messenger I will tell them like oh yeah like so and so wants to add so and so that’s one person I didn’t know added her and kept from bombing her she’s being kind a rude person and messenger kids definitely needs a couple boundaries definitely like a do not disturb I wish I didn’t have to say that but it kind of does so I agree with a couple of these parents that give messenger kids 4 star reviews because you’re definitely to be do not disturb that is my review you this is just my opinion but you can find out if you have a good terms with it can just locate messenger kids and they’ll help you with this situation Stay Safe 😷.Version: 158.0
Love itI really really love this app I always use it to message and call my friend but I do wish you could just audio call and I like that there's games because there's something to keep me busy And there's a ton of filters and there's a lot of parent control so your parents will probably agree too am a kid and I could never message my friends because my mom is a little protective and she want to find an app where I can talk to and call my friends but it had parent controls lots of them so that way she could keep track of what I did and make sure I didn't get any trouble so if you're a kid you will love this I recommend the ages 7 to 10 years old and parents you will also love this because you can see what your child does you can contact your child and your children can call or text there friends with you knowing that you're safe and your children can't add any contacts without your permission and kids there's so many games and so many filters and you can add as much friends and family as you want and keep in contact with them as long as you have Internet it is so fun and I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this please download u will love it have a good day and You are awesome and you deserve this app thank you for reading and have a good day😁😊.Version: 176.0
Great app but a few suggestionsSo I’m a kid and I use this app and I like to talk to my friends and play the bunny bridge game a lot but there’s an issue with it that makes me frustrated. The issue is this: in the tutorial it shows you the exact pieces you need and the bunny doesn’t start moving until all the pieces have been placed. When you start the real game, it doesn’t give you all the right pieces and the bunny doesn’t wait until you’ve completed a path. It starts moving after 2 pieces have been placed. I get that it’s a puzzle thing, but the bunny moves really fast and on the first level I played today, I tried placing a piece but it didn’t work, so that’s really frustrating. If you could maybe wait until the path is about halfway completed and if you could set out some more actually useful pieces, that’d be awesome. Also, I was thinking about this recently, last year I did this thing called “let’s look for cool filters” but when I watched the video at the end, I couldn’t hear what I said with most of the filters activated. I don’t know if this is still a problem, but anyways, there’s one more thing I wanted to discuss. There was this ADORABLE shark filter and I named him Leonard (pronounced Len-ird) and I haven’t seen him since! I love itI love messenger kids so much. It allows me to talk to my to best friends Izzy and doggie . But sometimes it is a little annoying and I’m not talking about my friends I’m talking about messenger kids. One reason messenger kids is sometimes annoying is because sometimes the filters don’t work. For example, one time I was calling my friend and then I tried one of the games we could do together and it didn’t work it was just there frozen doing nothing although we did have fun because I putted on one of the games we could do together and since it didn’t work I putted on the crying face filter and omg the tears stayed for ever !!!!! Another reason why messenger kids is annoying sometimes is because some times and this happened today my friend and I wanted to talk and then she called me but I didn’t get the call then it said you missed a call with izzy that is so annoying !!!!!!!!!!!! Then I called her and the it said connecting and then it hang up. Another reason why messenger kids is annoying is because some times when we are talking it hang up. For example, and this happened yesterday me and my friend where talking and we were both checking something on our iPads and then non of where in messenger kids but somehow it hang up. All this shows that messenger kids is sometimes annoying. But it’s still am amazing app but I think if it could change a little it would be even more amazing !!!!!!!!!! Great app but one small problemI love this app so much, it lets me talk to my friends who don’t have apple phones or don’t have a phone, and I love the cute stickers and games . I had this this app when I was little and one of my favorite games is the treehouse diy game but I had deleted it for a while and then re-downloaded it recently and realized that the treehouse game does not work. The buttons don’t work just you can’t play it like you can open the game but then as soon as you press like like you can’t even press the randomize button and that was one of mine favorite games and I’ve actually I think Britain has a review about this and and it’s been like I think three months and I think I had seen other people writing reviews about this too, but it’s I don’t know it’s been a while and I don’t wanna be impatient, but I have a little sibling who also has this app and I can talk to him through it, and he was very excited to cause he had gotten it just like last month and I was like showing him the games and how it works, and he clicked on the treehouse game and I said sorry it doesn’t work kiddo l and he was disappointed, cause he was like he’s played games like that before like outside of Messenger Kids and he really likes those kinds of games. I have a big issueI have been using it for nearly 5 years, and something like this has never happened. Recently, maybe just a week ago, I got a text from a friend on messenger kids saying, “Did you block me? I cannot see your messages.” She sent a photo of what was on her screen and every text message said, “message cannot be displayed”. This meant that no matter how many messages we sent each other, she would not see the ones I sent her. 3 days later (about now or so), the same exact thing happens to my messages. When I went onto the app it deleted some of my recent messages with my friends and family, and all of their sent messages that they sent me said, “message cannot be displayed”. There is also another big issue that tags along with this problem. Yes the messages say, “message cannot be displayed”, but I am not even getting the messages! My friends will send me a message and it will appear on my home screen, but when I go to open it, there is no new message to be read. This is very upsetting. This is a key source to contacting my friends and family. With no contact with them, I will not be able to get plans or even just simple notes. Very important recommendation 🥰Can we have a nickname feature? I know this sounds weird to be important but….. more people in their are noticing that they are trans at earlier stages of their lives. And hence this app is for 11 to 12 year olds and younger, that discovery is in those lines. Most people want to change their names, and their deadnames (legal names) are now heartbreaking and very hurtful when hearing them. And the notifications often sometimes say the name linked with our profiles, which is often our deadnames. As a trans person myself I find it very sad when I get a notification and my deadname pops up within it. It feels like a chip of my soul has chipped of and some of my happiness goes with it. And there is actually a pretty simple solution for it, ✨nicknames✨. With this feature the child will be able to change the name for the specific profile, homophobia isn’t much of a problem ether. If a child changes their name, they can create a nickname. Say Sally changes their name to Sam for example, they can have a nickname for their friends profiles. Say they change it to SillyStarfish, Sam doesn’t get deadnamed in notifications (nicknames appear in notifications) and unaccepting mom doesn’t know. SuggestionI love this app! It allows me to chat with my younger cousins and a few of my friends. I only have a couple of complaints. One being that it doesn’t sync across devices, so I can’t use it on my phone without my mom signing me in. This is only an issue because I rarely ever use my iPad, so my little cousins get angry at me when I don’t respond to their messages often. I don’t know if this is intentional or not, but it would be great if it were changed. The other problem I have is that the general interface is designed with seven year olds in mind, so it is a little childish to me (no offense to anyone, that is just how I feel). I just think it would be nice if there were a couple options you could choose from, like a minimalist design where it is just little white icons/emoji, and an abstract theme, with colored shapes, lines, and dots—instead of the colorful (and slightly scary) monsters that there are right now. It would also be cool if you could pick the exact color (using HEX codes or the slider thing) for your messages and buttons, instead of just the presets options. Its nice i guessThere are so many problems and annoying things like first of all, ALL OF THE games and filters are SOO childish! theres only like 3 that are actually funny! now with the problems. theres been like NO CONNECTION for like the past year in messenger kids! i CANNOT send messages, they DONT LOAD/SEND! About Messenger Kids…Messenger Kids is a great, fun way to connect with others, and a great free app for kids to use. However, I recently had the same problem as LILAC6761, and I wanted to let anyone else who ever had the same problem know that, to fix it, all you need to do is delete and redownload the app. I had trouble with it too, but I figured it out. Of course I am asking Messenger Kids to fix this bug so it doesn’t happen again. Anyways, it’s a great app to connect with others and great for on-the-go messages or responses. I absolutely love how you can see if other people are online on the app, making it an easier way to know if they’re busy or not, and if it’s a good time to text them. But possibly add a feature where it shows if they have Do Not Disturb on or not? Also, could you add funner things to the app? I know this request is very vague, but I just feel like there aren’t enough fun stuff to do with your friends. The games get pretty boring since the same ones come up, as well as the filters. And maybe add cool message features as well? And better video editing tools? I’m not asking for insane pro video editing tools, just better and more convenient ones. Make a Instagram Kids app!This app is great. I am 13 years old. My parents are really strict about my phone. I’m not allowed to have a bunch of apps that my friends have. Messenger Kids is a friendly app that doesn’t allow any abuse or anything out of your control. On my account, I talk with a few of my friends and family members. It’s also really fun because of all the stickers and fun pictures you can take with at least around 20 different filters. One thing I really wish the creators would add is more filters like the ones in Messenger. Whenever I go on my mom, dad, or grandma’s Messenger account, I see way more filters that are a lot better than the ones in Messenger kids. Something I really hope the creators will do is make an Instagram Kids app. I’m not allowed to have Instagram, even though my best friend is. I would love to post some of my pictures where everyone could see it, but how do I do that without Facebook or Instagram? I would be able to see pictures my friends post and keep in touch with them. And I’m sure there are lots of other kids who’s parents won’t allow them to have Instagram. It’s not fair for these kids, and I know that because I’m one of them! Whenever I see kids that have Instagram, I get upset because I was the one who got stuck with parents who don’t want me to have any fun on my phone. Omg you should get this!!Okay so I’m a kid and a love this app so much!!! I have been using it for a little over a year now, I got it around November or December of 2019 and I am loving it now that I am able to still safely talk to my friends and family during Covid-19. Just one problem....I used to use a tablet but now I use my phone, and on my tablet I was able to change the theme of my app and choose my own personal emoji and stuff but now it is organized like my moms messenger and I think that if your a kids account you should have the option to decorate your app and choose your emoji and stuff! Also, while there is an option to mute I also think you should be able to turn your video off. I use it every dayI love this app so I can text my friend. I can text my parents I can text everybody I know also there is a time limit on this app so if your kid spend too much time and the other kids are asleep so you’re not texting in the middle of the night. I love this app! It’s amazing!!I really like this app. It’s very well organized I think. Honestly it’s just so amazing because it’s so safe. My mom got this app for me during quarantine since a lot of my friends didn’t have phones to text or call with. They all had iPads or Computers. Love HateWhile I love that this gives my young son a chance to feel a bit more independent, i absolutely HATE that I’m unable to silence calls on neither my phone nor my sons. Yes I can set sleep hours , but it still allows the call to come thru initially before going to a screen saying it’s during restricted hours. So my son, and everyone else around , is still interrupted for that brief second someone is calling. My son has a friend, who bless his heart , calls much too much and every time is rings on my phone and any other device he uses . Even if it is but a second, it’s still temporarily disrupts anything that anybody’s doing plus it will distract my son from whatever it is he’s doing and when this other child calls over and over that is beyond brush, I have tried logging out of devices I have tried setting the silent sleep hours, but no matter what I do nothing seems to work, and for that reason, I’m looking at deleting this app altogether, because I simply cannot deal with it any longer. Awesome but could changeSo I have this app and it’s AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Me and my friends love to chat with each other and have video calls especially during Covid 19 but there could be a few adjustments: the main reason I gave this app a four star review is because when it’s past eight o’clock or something it says “the app went to sleep” which is so annoying because I can’t even text my dad! AMAZING!I absolutely LOVE messenger kids. It is so fun to use and there are so many options/ways to play games with your friends, or just by yourself! If you are a parent reading this, just download it for your kid(s). You don’t need to download it on your personal phone, all you do is just put you Facebook information in, choose who you want them to talk to, and put in some things about your child, and BOOM! Just like that you are all set up. You can choose who you child talks to, and you can block and unblock people, and if you are on a different device, just enter in the same Facebook information and you are connected to the original account. You can also add multiple accounts for your children if you only have one device but want them to talk to there friends without it all being in one account. You can also make it to where friends and family can or cannot see who they talk to, and if you did it’s just so they can make new friends through people they already know. And if you made it to where people can’t see who your child is talking to, you will still be able to see. I hope this helped!.Version: 248.0
I love this app so so so so SO MUCHI have had kids messenger for like 4 years now and I use ive used it soooo much, I call my best friends EVERY SINGLE DAAAYYY we have a bunch of different group chats with all the same people lol, if it weren’t for this app I wouldn’t have such close connections with the friends that aren’t allowed to give their phone number, so I just want to say thanks<3 There is nothing wrong with this app I just have a few suggestions! 1. You should be able to give friends nicknames, like say someone’s name is Mackenzie, but they go by Mack, I think you should be able to set a nickname for them/set yourself a nickname. 2. You should be able to set a group icon, me and my friends have different groups for different fandoms even if it’s the same people then the main group, the fandom is just the topic of that particular group, so like we have a group all about a certain character from the books Warrior Cats, (the cat is jayfeather) so a I think it would be cool if you could set the group icon to a picture of jayfeather (or whatever that fandom group is for) Anyways, thank you so so so so much for your app and your time for reading this <3.Version: 248.0
Messaging BugI was just going to share the issue here that I’ve seen a lot of other people who have the app say they’re experiencing. Recently, a day ago the app stopped working and for every chat that I had, even if it was with my parent, it said Message Cannot Be Displayed. For my friends, they said after a few minutes it went back to normal, but for me and many other people it’s still like that. I don’t have another app that I can communicate with my friends or family with, and it just makes it a hassle to try and contact them if something important or serious is happening. I don’t know if the app is allowing me to call with my contacts, but I know that I can’t see any texts go through to me. I’ve checked for updates, I offloaded and reinstalled the app, and I’ve searched up ways to fix it or see if others were experiencing the same issues, which they were. I just have yet to wait and see if it fixes itself, otherwise I would say it’s an amazing and useful app, however this “malfunction” of the text feature has made it incredibly annoying. My kids love this.. but literally NO boundariesI have had this app for ONE day and my phone is nonstop blowing up. I have turned all notifications off (which I’d rather not have to do) However. There is not any type of a silent mode or an option to not contact the kids at a certain time. Even with zero notifications my phone keeps going off with all of the phone calls coming in from my child’s friends. Like 10x/minute. It is way too much. I have found myself logging on asking my daughters friends to please respect that it is bedtime. There needs to be some boundaries on this app! Like there should be a “do not disturb” option and also a function that requires parents permission for FaceTiming. Giving them access to chat at any time with friends is a complete invasion of privacy. My daughter respects it once I catch on that she’s FaceTiming.. but I should be able to allow the time frame when she has access to do it period. Already had a “moment” where I had to raise my voice and she’s literally FaceTiming with a friend.. who is in front of her parents.. and they heard everything. Beyond uncomfortable knowing that our privacy is invaded by kids that are just doing what the app allows them to get away with. More boundaries please or this thing is getting deleted. 😍 i love this app!!!Hello I love this app so much! It has fun stickers and filters but as I got older I started to grow out of it. I have had this app for a long time and I love how secure and safe and kid friendly it is, but I wish you made different appearances and back-rounds and stuff for different age and gender groups. But I love to dance so I love the dance challenges and drawing stuff but again referring back to age groups there Aton of songs I used to like but there is very few I like now. You see I think I was like 7 when I got the app because one of my best freinds moved far away so I got the app so I could talk to her. And when I was seven I did not have a number or anything like that so messenger kids helped me a lot on that situation. And we even talk to each other today and I am almost twelve! And you might say oh well the app is meant for kids young but I think if you guys changed it a little and when you sighted in the found out the kids age and birth day and stuff so you could reccomed the updated version that was made for there age group. 👵🏻This app is great but like ur parents see all your texts and all I want is privacy because this app is for babies. If ur parents change their Facebook password and you sign out of messager kids then you have to go ask ur parents to sign in again because when you press ur acc when u sign out it will go to a Facebook sign in page and make ur parents sign in again. But just saying u can’t reply or delete a message..Version: 265.0

All my friends old messages say “cannot be displayed “ and my friends new messages just don’t exist. I’ll get the notifications but the actual message isn’t there. Also when I try to go into a group, or if I scroll to high in my history it will just put me back in my Home Screen like nothing happened.
