Consumer Accounts With UMR Customer Service

It’s getting better, though, I wish I could fix a claim or at least deny it within the app when I make an error. Calling customer service is not convenient.

This app works really well for me as a blind user, navigation and data entry using the IOS screen reader is easy and intuitive, I am sure the same can be said for sighted users.

The actual filing of the claim was easy, but I wish that you could pay the doctor instead of yourself.

Super easy to file claims and you get reimbursed within a reasonable time.

During uploading and attaching receipts, one should also have the option to import from “Files” or “Folders” especially since E-Receipts are becoming more popular. Lastly, why can’t I attach more than 4 receipts to a claim? Each therapy session has its own receipt. I had to create 2 separate claims instead of combining all 5 sessions / receipts into one claim.

Works great, reimburses great just a little bit of slow pain

I have a UMR account, I access it through the app, but accessing the consumer account has always been through my UMR account or the UMR app. I thought this would be nice to access the consumer account directly, but it cannot find my account, will not accept my login. I downloaded it and promptly deleted it. UMR should make the consumer accounts easier to access. Since there’s one pool of funds that all our family claims are paid from, all independent account holders should be able to access to submit claim substantiation docs. Because the consumer accounts can only be accessed through the primary users account that person is responsible for all claims. Makes it tough when I’m working all the time. Thanks UMR for making it easy for families to work together.

The app is 1 of the worst apps I’m forced to use in my daily life. Constantly being forced to change my password and very little information is given as to why claims are not paid, which happens often because UMR does no leg work on their own. Then you have call customer service which defeats the utility of the app.

Getting set up with this account was difficult and even more difficult to get direct deposit set up for reimbursement.

Items listed as covered do not process at the store. Inconvenient to have to submit for reimbursement. Also having to submit medical office copay receipts is inconvenient as well

Needs a very long password. Wants to chahe password often. Hard process to submit receipts.

They will fight you for prof of purchase as it was their money and they always say “if the IRS audit you and you don’t have proof of purchase you’ll might get in trouble”.

The app is great but takes a long time to load receipts

Completely useless app. The login is broken and screws up my whole account every time I try to login.

IOS 26 appears to have broken the App. It’s not very good to begin with but now it’s useless.

Flex account and the Insurance is the worst I have ever dealt with

This app is so complicated to set up and not intuitive at all. One you jump through all the hoops, spend hours in the phone with a rep, I guess it’s somewhat decent in functionality, but overall very primitive. You must improve the user set up experience. Why would anyone immediately go to “forgot password?!” How about “create new account?” Further why would the ID be different from the member ID?! And different log ins from desktop. Absolutely awful. I’ve never been more frustrated with an app!!!!

The same problem everyone else has complained about. It is impossible to set up access. It says my password is wrong even though I used the same one from the website. Absolutely awful. Some reviews suggest eyed the app has to be set up with an independent password, but I have been unable to get the system to recognize my information. From other reviews, there seems to be only horror stories when tryin to contact customer service. Not with it.

All the reviews make this app easier to set up than it actually is. That is to say get ready to call tech support and endure a lot of frustration. Like everything else with UMR so far it seems it’s designed to get you to give up in frustration and let them keep ALL of your FSA money. If it weren’t bad enough you have to pay all of your FSA claims out of pocket and the wait for reimbursement this makes you want to give up before being reimbursed.

I can’t access onto the app but can on the website. I use my Face ID / my saved passwords & login info and still can’t login on the app. Makes no sense. Not only that, you can’t even pay over the phone. You have to mail in money orders/checks for a repayment. So many little things you miss / don’t dead when you sign up FSA through them. Regrets. I would’ve not gone through them if it was this complicated.

Still trying to set up my account! For some reason my old account was disabled, and I need to set up a new account, very cumbersome, keeps telling you to set a new password, then won’t take it! It will take it when I go through my email, but not my app! Deleted that, now trying a new app, I’ve been going around in circles for an hour, even called customer service, most frustrating process I’ve ever encountered!

One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. I set up an account, then immediately cannot log in. I wait on hold for someone in IT to assist with logging in. We change the password and the secret questions and I’m able to log in. Once. As soon as I try to log in again, I have to go through the same process. How is this even allowed on the App Store?

If managing your family’s healthcare coverage isn’t soul-crushing enough for you already, then try doing it on this app. It’s frustratingly worthless. You’ll definitely have some reimbursements to submit for psychiatric care you’ll need after this experience. Don’t worry though, you won’t even be able to login to the app to submit them. What a waste. Do better UMR.

I have been through the process about five times. First of all, you cannot use your login that you established through the website. Second, the tech support isn’t helpful and they are completely unaware of this. I have given up and installed a web app shortcut on my phone and this is how I will access UMR to upload my flex spending receipts.

This app was made with no consideration to the consumer. The ID is 14 digits that is assigned and you have to enter it when signing on. I’ve enabled Touch ID and that works 20% of the time on just this app. Considering the website seems to be under maintenance every time I try to use it would have been nice to have an app that is user friendly.

You enter your information correctly. Click login. And the app tells you your information is wrong and the login fails. However the same information allows you to login on the UMR website. If I could give zero stars or negative stars, I would. This thing is disgraceful, and hasn’t been updated since 2017. NEWSFLASH: It’s now 2019, UMR!

Terrible app, everything you enter is invalid although absolutely correct, and when you attempt to get a human being on the other side to fix it, good luck. Do not waste your time installing or trying to make this app work. Stick with the UMR website until they get their act together and invest in an app that is 21st century worthy.

Not sure how to even set it up. Doesn’t recognize my current password nor my information to reset my password or create an account. I shouldn’t have to call customer service to set up an app. It should recognize my information from my desktop account.

You have to have separate login credentials from the website. Had to contact them to find that out. Then I tried to register by using “forgot password”, which is what they told me to do, i couldn’t even get that to work. Tired of wasting my time so I deleted the app.

I downloaded the app after filling out my info on the website. It told me that it was invalid and to contact them via email or phone. I emailed them from the email that was provided and as I sent it. I received a notification that it was an invalid email address.

Need to automate some of the fields like federal id number (it’s on my receipt), provider name (save it somewhere so don’t have to type it each time)

App looks and feels old. The most recent update was 6 months ago, and looks to be a dead product. The setup is very cumbersome by requiring a user to do forgot password. However, the app doesn’t even tell you this.

Otherwise Customer service is great

Login simply does not work. Remove the app from the store if it’s not designed to work. I also don’t understand how Apple lets this app through its approval process.

Onboarding process is horrific. should be a UX case study in what not to do. Expect to spend several hours not getting this app to work. Set aside plenty of time to register your user account.

I have never claimed to be the “sharpest crayon in the box”, but this is the most “non user friendly” app out there!! Nothing about it makes sense!! Not even worthy of the one star that I rated it!!

Unable to login. Unable to even set up a login, because there is not an option. Absolutely USELESS if you cannot log in 😒

This app and even online to set up account is impossible. Call and talk to someone and they don’t help!! I hate this company so much now!!
