Trashhhhhhhh!!!!!This app is trash which honestly is not surprising based off of Xfinity’s overall historically poor customer service. The app has worked maybe once for me and that was over a year ago. I’ve spoken to customer service representatives several times. They all apologize but tell me they don’t know what’s happening. This is not a one off thing this is every single month. When I log in the account page just loads and loads but never actually loads. I have to call and pay through the automated service. Which wouldn’t be such a big deal but not being able to gain access to the app also means that I can’t gain access to any of the other features that are supposed to be there. Like resetting my Wi-Fi router seeing how many days I have left before my service needs to be refilled or anything else I’m supposed to be able to do on the app. I even asked if they could switch me over to the Xfinity NOW prepaid service, which they said they can’t do, that I would have to buy a new router for Xfinity NOW and set up a new account. Auto pay always cancels by itself!For the most part, I haven’t had any issues. Out of no where the app just stops auto pay every month now by itself and it’s so annoying! Don’t use this service or app unless...I wouldn’t recommend this prepaid WiFi as an option unless you really have no choices. They give you the lowest grade WiFi, it always cuts out or has connection issues. The app definitely is flawed and barely works(you can barely every log in), you can’t make any changes to the WiFi password and it’s listed as an unsecured network. Then whenever you want to refill, the app takes forever to even get to your dashboard if it ever goes at all, you likely have to refill on your web browser. It’s just not a good service, even being prepaid it’s like they’re giving you the scraps of available low grade internet. Good service…really bad appI enjoy the freedom of this service as I travel a lot. So not being committed to a plan does help. However, when trying to use this app to refill the data, it either will lag or be very buggy or even freeze completely. I have been using the xfinity prepaid app for a year and it has been nothing but a problem. First off, it glitches ALL THE TIME. While logging in, during payment, looking to see how many days are left, etc. IT’s ALL WAYS GLITCHING.
The app never remembers my login information, even after I press “remember me.” From afar this is not a huge deal. Your thinking process may even be, “well you only have to log in once a month, what’s the big deal.” If the app actually worked, yes I would theoretically only have to log in once a month. But remember the glitching? Yeah I log in over 10 times EVERY SINGLE TIME I have to refill my subscription. That means typing out _________@________.com, then the password, and then hoping and praying for the love of god that this time it would finally take it.
Once I am finally able to get logged in, the app didn’t shutdown the moment it opened, and I am over on the payments side… the app glitches AGAIN and kicked me out while I press “refill.” Time to restart this ALL OVER AGAIN.
You would think that a company as large as xfinity could hire someone to make an app that even works HALF THE TIME. Obviously that is not the case with the prepaid app.
At this point someone may be wondering, ‘well if you have had this many problems with the prepaid app, why don’t you do a regular plan?’
The answer is, I would LOVE to, but because the person who lived in my apartment prior to me didn’t pay their bills for god knows how long, I have to deal with the consequences.
Even though I brought in every single document I received from my apartment complex, my apartment manager called the xfinity store while I was there to help, and I have sent documentation via email xfinity still wouldn’t allow me to get their normal services because the person who lived in my apartment has over $300 in unpaid bills. It was cheaper for me to pay $10 more every month, only living in this apartment for a year, then to pay the $300 upfront and then get the standard, not prepaid, xfinity network.
