Seriously Helpful When You can’t find your remoteI have a huge bed with tons of pillows and blankets and all of my pets and kids snuggle in bed with me and when we all watch tv together it’s super easy to lose the remote and when I do I can avoid arguments or frustration by using my phone. Yes there are ads if you use it a ton but it only takes a few seconds to bypass the ad and continue using the remote. If you feel like you are watching an ad forever either hit the app button and then exit out or hit the x that can sometimes be hard to see or find. IncredibleIm not one to leave reviews for products but this app is amazing. There I was looking for the remote while the kids were going crazy asking me to change the cartoons they were watching. I went to the app store and looked up remote apps. Came across this one, downloaded it, connected to the tv, and was able to change the cartoons. From time of download to changing the channel took about 30 seconds, so extremely quickly. The only downside is that you get an 10 or 15-second add but hey, they need to make some money also. Great for Samsung smart tvIt actually works for turning on and off my Samsung tv. My dog chewed through our original remote we purchased a universal remote but it lags sometimes, after I allowed permission with the physical remote I am now able to turn on and off my tv without an issue. Other tv remotes I used had a ton of adds and would turn on the tv itself. They worked but only if I turned on the tv with the physical remote. It was great for literally one day.My remote’s batteries died and my dad had to wait a little until he could get more, so I decided to try one of the Roku apps. The Universal TV Remote (this app) worked just fine for around 10 hours, and then when I woke up the next day and tried to connect it to my Tv again, it wouldn’t connect. A subscription for all of the features would just keep popping up whenever I pressed my tv name, and it just wouldn’t load at all. The best.This app is the most reasonable out of t what I’ve tried. Other remote apps are pretentious in taking away fundamental features like volume control or the select button. I refused to pay a premium for that, even if it meant ad bombardment. Good enoughThis is the only app that will work for my TV that I can find. The app tends to not work a lot of the time, but when it works it’s great. I don’t recommend for Fire TV users!Gives you the bare minimum for the non trial version of the app. Without a trial, it’s a nightmare to use this app. I mean every 5 7 you use the Aerosmith navigated hits you with an add. Can actually cancel the ad if you swipe out of the app and open it back up quickly, but this is not convenient. It also has more features that lets you type in a keyboard send the text to your TV so you don’t have to manually navigate, but that’s a paid option. There’s also option to jump to apps with a tap of your finger these are locked behind a pay wall. If you’re using a Fire TV like me, don’t go through the hassle of buying a subscription on this app OK it’s just not worth it.
