Even better than I had hoped!When I first heard this was coming out I was mainly excited for the Mandalorian show. I own all the Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar movies so I didn’t know how much value there would be. I’ve never seen all the animated classics so that was a plus for sure. But what I secretly hoped for was all the old stuff from even before I was born but that was played on the Disney channel in the 80s and 90s. As a kid I loved watching the shows where Walt talked about anything. And of course all the animated shorts. So it has all of that stuff plus it has movies I never got to see like Escape to Witch Mountain. I’ve been watching it all day today and I’m loving it. I haven’t been this excited for anything since the last Star Wars movie came out.
And to the reviewer who says “should I be ashamed that I’m 35 and so excited for this?” No you shouldn’t. I’m 44. And Walt’s philosophy was that all of this stuff that he created was for people of ALL ages. There is no shame in wanting to relive your childhood by watching old episodes of the Mickey Mouse Club (yes that’s on here too!) My dad is 67 and when I told him that show is on here he said I need to show him how to get Disney+ on his TV.
Sure it had a rough start yesterday but who didn’t see that coming? How many tens of millions of us were all trying to access it at once? Take it easy and enjoy. This isn’t going away. Wonderful app but...This is a wonderful app! I love being able to stream disney, marvel, star wars, and national geographic all in one app. Disney definitely comes in handy when my little cousins are visiting and my dad loves watching national geographic. I would definitely rate it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that you can't remove things from the continue watching menu. Now I know it seems like an exaggeration to remove a whole star for something so little. This might just be a heat of the moment review considering the fact that I just spent 10 minutes removing things from my continue watching menu. As I said before, this app is definitely a huge help in distracting my little cousins who vist oftenly and my dad loves watching the wildlife shows. However, it seems like my prehistoric dad and my small brained cousins can't seem to comprehend the fact that the accounts labeled "dad" and "[child name]" are for them. They ALWAYS click on the first account available which happens to be mine. I know that this is a personal problem that you can't help. However, it's not the fact that they always seem to go to my account that bothers me. I'm already used to this treatment on other apps such as Netflix. The difference is that disney+ does not offer the ability to edit the continue watching section. It shouldn't be that big of a deal but I always like to keep my things nice and organized. Having to fast forward to the end of every unfinished movie or show is irritating. I hope that you can understand.

Pretty good, needs improvement.I really enjoy the shows and movies available. Still some more I’m hoping that will be added later, however the app itself has a few flaws. First off, I really don’t like that I have to search for my show every time to pick up where I left off. Also, sometimes I don’t remember what all I’m watching so I have to try and remember what it is so I can start it up again. Another flaw I’ve noticed is the movies have an add button. I’ve clicked the add button on movies and nothing happened. I’m assuming it’s an add to watch list or your list type of thing but I’ll go back to those movies later and try to add them again and the app resets it like it never happened. It doesn’t make sense why it’s there when it doesn’t do anything. I’m pretty sure that’s a flaw in the coding. Also, there isn’t even a “My list” or “Watch list” category available anywhere so the plus symbol to add the movies is basically there for looks and pointless. Also, the button to skip forward a few seconds is VERY slow when you click on it. It loads for a bit which doesn’t happen with Netflix. And the button to skip intro doesn’t always skip the intro, just part of it. It’s definitely a problem with the app because my other streaming platforms do everything just fine. It’s a cool idea but the app feels very rushed. Love the app! But one problemDisney is one of my favorite apps to watch stuff on like gravity falls and star vs. the forces of evil. I can also watch with my friends and family. Also Disney has more of the best cartoons! I love Disney a lot mostly because of gravity falls. Gravity falls is like one of the funniest shows ever! Including star vs. the forces of evil. I mean basically everything is on disney! But some of the movies that have been coming out have been HORRIBLE….except for inside out 2. MISSING many shows (and languages)I grew up watching many a Disney shows. Signed up for Disney, most of them are not available. The ones that are, not available in my language (or a decent selection at all.. Ebglish and Spanish only, really?)There are official dubs that were aired on public television DECADES ago already, and Disney+ only has English for most of the shows IF they are even on there to watch. At least they finally have the Clone Wars (magnificent animation as always Tartakovsky is magnificent) but I had to wait for that as well. The app will crash/freeze if you hit the rewind button too often (not for people that like watching specific scenes again and again), and there is no option to either loop a video (Yes, I would like to have Biomes and Vehicle on in the background while I work/sleep), or to make it stop asking “are you still there” so at some point it will stop playing and if you have loud neighbors throwing on Dinsney+ to tune them out whilst you sleep is not an option. The quality of the videos themselves is top notch though, (volume could be louder, but visuals are GREAT). But, seriously, why own the rights to all these shows and not let people see them or make them available anywhere else? Bad glitch but good appSo in the title what I mean by bad glitch is that there’s this glitch where my video will pause and unpause a whole bunch and then sometimes after that it will speed up the show all the way to the end and then go to the next video and then I exit out of the app and go back in and then it’s fine but the it does it again sometimes I don’t want to have to keep doing this please fix this and I don’t know if it’s the app or just my iPad and I’m just a kid so I don’t know how to fix it. 5/5 but...Amazing. Disney+ is such a good app. I mostly have the popular streaming apps and I have to say Disney+ is one of my favorites and most used. Anyone who wants this app get it. It is so worth the money even if you just like disney/pixar movies or just marvel/star wars movies. Or just some good nice documentary’s. All I have to say is get this app. But I’m not finished yet which anyone who’s reading this probably knows that because of the “but...” I added on my tittle. This part is for buyers but mostly for makers so if your a person who’s more of a customer than you should totally get this app and if your not interested in reading my little complaint then you can stop reading now. But read if you’d like to and this might actually be helpful but it’s your choice. Anyway makers (and buyers who’d like to keep reading) know that I’m not trying to hate. I know Disney+ is new and all and new apps have bugs/problems but I’m starting to get really frustrated with the pauses and buffering the app does all the time. Sometimes it works perfectly but other times it’s almost impossible to watch something without the constant loading. it’ll stop then work then stop then work and it’ll go on like that for like 20 minutes. I’ve tried to be patient but I’m starting to feel defeated and all around disappointed. Great app, just needs a little improvementThe service has everything! Well, almost everything. Some of the Marvel movies aren’t on there due to Netflix and other streaming platforms streaming them as of right now. The MCU Spider-Man films
are a but different because of the Sony & Disney/Marvel ownership debate, so it’s unlikely those will be on the platform any time soon. And other films like Toy Story 4 can’t even be found like the other “coming soon” titles, which is a little odd but I’m sure those will arrive soon after sufficient physical and digital copies have been sold. Many of these “coming soon” titles won’t be available until mid 2020, which isn’t too amazing, but there’s a monstrous library of other content to choose from to make up for it. It’s amazing to hop on the service to watch and episode of The Simpsons or start a classic “Out of the Vault” classic Disney animated movie. The service is broken up into five main categories: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, along side the lingering Fox show here and there. One key thing that the service is missing is a continue watching tab. The second time I loaded into the platform, I wasn’t greeted by any sort of a continue watching tab or section at all. This doesn’t seem like too big of a deal, but when you want to hop right back in, it can feel delayed and lack luster because of this. I strongly suggest trying out Disney+, especially in the coming weeks when originals like The Mandalorian are completely released!.DizzyBatChampVersion: 1.1.6
TV Mobile login not workingSo about a year ago, my friend allowed me to borrow his Disney plus account and I did so. I had fun and I still enjoy the app although there are still some issues with the apple airplay. For this Black Friday we recently bought the latest FireStick TV, and when I went on Disney Plus on that device, here is what it said. It said that you can use a mobile device to log in, just go to Disney plus on your mobile device and we will handle the rest. I thought it would work the same on iPad because that is where we got the account from, so we tried it. There was no agree button on my iPad like on Reddit it said it would. But then I went to settings and saw that for the Disney plus app, local networks option was not turned on so I turned that on. Then the TV was able to notice my device and It asked me to tap agree on my iPad and I did so. But unfortunately, it said that login failed. When I tried to click the exclamation point on the notice, it just took me to a random show. So at the end of the day, I wasn’t able to login to Disney Plus on my fire stick. I searched on help but there weren’t any questions like that. So then I went online to look for answers but there weren’t any, they all said use chrome cast or airplay, but it didn’t show answers. I wrote this review to ask review to ask a question and I hope the developers can answer it. Only 1 problemI downloaded this app the first day it came out. I got to take advantage of the free 7 day trial so that was cool. It was very enjoyable to watch with my 4 year old son all the classics once owned on Beta & VHS tapes. I may have just dated myself yeah im just about 50 years old anyhow. Once I decided to keep the service after the 7 day trial date I noticed that I was getting a lag time on most videos. So the movie pauses on a single frame you can hear the dialogue continue then the picture unfreezes and its back to normal again. This was happening quite a bit so I found a great work around. I now download the movie or episode and it plays perfectly. It is a bit of a hassle to do this for everything I want to watch but you know I cant miss whats going on with baby Yoda. Once I decided to continue subscribing I downloaded the app for my Roku tv it has the same lagging issue but the down side is my roku tv does not have the ability to download the episodes. Im hanging in there hoping that they figure out a way to fix the issue on the Roku app. I tried to watch Rouge One and it was so bad I stopped watching it. I could have watched it on my phone app but did not feel like watching it on my iphone 7+ screen. So im going to continue my subscription for at leadt another month before I make a desision to cancel service. I teally hope they fix the lagging problem that is NOT due to my internet service. Love the movies but canclingI love the movies they offer especially the older ones. Read they are going to start censoring movies because of racial stuff. I sure hope they don’t. It’s incredibly stupid to change our beloved childhood movies. Especially since the stuff they are going after them for is bogus stuff. The movie dumbo, the crows are just that, crows. The people trying to believe other wise need to get a life. I can’t believe the stuff they are coming up with to ban our child hood movies. However this is not why I am going to be canceling. We have had Disney for 5 plus months now. We have only watched about 10 movies in this time and most of those we gave up trying to watch. We load the movies from our PlayStation 4 council and if the movie is going to load it takes a good 10 minutes or more and then it stops every couple of minutes throughout the movie for another 10 minutes or so to load. You can’t watch the movies. I have called in for support and they try to help to no avail and they say it is an on going issue for movies loading through gaming devices and they don’t know how to fix it. I know my play station is not the issue because Netflix loads super fast with no issues. I also have issues getting it to load on my phone. So I’m paying $70 bucks a year for something I don’t even get to watch vs the $15 a month of endless movies from Netflix. And to top it all off Disney started a trial run where they want to charge you even more money to watch their new movies they are putting on there. Complete waste of money and time. It’s great! But…To start off I’m gonna say what I love about the which is that you can stream different shows from different genres. You have a wide selection of tv shows and movies, and you have channels for sports. The things I don’t like about the app is that you can’t download everything. I’m not complaining about how many shows/ movies you can download it’s that most shows you can’t download and it’s not my favorite thing about the app. Another thing is that they don’t have the best notification system because I was watching an anime called something like “toilet bound Hanako” It didn’t tell me their making a new season or even mention new episodes coming even if it’s in Japanese. LOVE THISSo there is like a million things that take over the cons of this app! I love this app because it is so easy to stream from anywhere, at any time or place. The variety of different contents, from movies to shows are absolutely amazing! I have been currently been reliving my childhood and watching all the Disney Princesses movies, and I am currently traveling as I write this. Disney+ is able to stream from anywhere (minus Asia, though when I went to India, I just used Disney+ Hotstar), and can even be used on airplanes when downloaded. Only downside of this is that after I download some things, it ends up deleting itself and not working since the area/wifi you are or have downloaded things change. This is an easy fix as all you have to do is delete the download, and redownload it again which should not take long unless you have bad wifi/data. Overall, this app has never let me down, and even gives options from around the world! My honest opinion (please read) 👀Ok Disney+ is a pretty great app I like how it provides most Disney films/shows. Some minor setbacks though are… 1. Everytime i make a new account on my tv or another device, it always logs me out from my phone. This is annoying because everytime i try signing back in it says the password is incorrect and I have to be resetting the password over and over and it’s s long process that I don’t have the patience for. 2. I get it Disney does things to get more money but I think it’s dumb how they want us to pay extra just to watch stuff TV-14 and up paying 13-15 dollars a month is enough so I expect the whole package. 3. I don’t like the fact that when I’m watching a show it takes forever to fast forward for example, in Netflix it shows you what clip you could fast forward to but in Disney + I have to figure out what clip I’m stopping on 4. This app desperately needs a remove from continue watching button. I try to remove the shows and movies by just skipping until the last episode or fast forward until the end but it still doesn’t work and still shows up on my continue watching. 5. You guys need to add the new movies right away. As soon as they come out in theaters, put it on Disney+ at least a week later. Again I get your doing this for money or sum but it’s annoying having to sometimes wait a month. 6. Movies like the live action Mulan, shouldn’t have to be “buy early before release” it’s a rip off. I’m so happy my fam got this! But...So my family has gotten this and it is a great app! But the only thing is a minor bug. So I was bringing our iPad on a car trip, and before we went, I downloaded some episodes of my favorite Disney TV show so I could watch them offline in the car, and I stared watching them on the way to our carpool mates, and I noticed that it wasn’t as smooth as it was supposed to be... So I just thought, “Oh, this happens all the time with Netflix, so it shouldn’t be a big deal with this. I can fix it later.” So we dropped the iPad off at our house, and a few hours later, we came home, and I started to watch some more of the show, and it was still... Grainy, if you know what I mean? So I went to my dad and asked if he could fix it, but he didn’t know how, so I tried restarting the app, but it wasn’t smooth still. I tried restarting the whole iPad, but it still wouldn’t fix. So I finally figured that if I delete the app and then get it back again, it would be fixed. And we signed in again, and it worked that time... Quite an annoying situation, but it was... Kind of an “ easy” fix, but maybe you guys could fix this problem for an update.

Over all great but could use some fixesOverall I love Disney plus. There are so many shows/movies to select from that it’s hard for a Disney lover to decide where to start. Since today was launch day I know there will be some kinks that need to be worked out. I just wanted to list some issues or recommendations that could/should possibly be addressed in a future update. I saw one review mention that stuff they were adding to their watchlist wasn’t saving. I ran into that same issue. Another issue I ran into was my auto play wasn’t working. I have that setting turned on but when watching a series it does not automatically play the next episode. I also noticed that an episode was missing from season 1 of the little mermaid series. My recommendations for possible updates are: (1) add a “continue watching” section that shows what I was last watching and didn’t finish. (2)when watching a series have the episodes that users have watched marked in some way that shows they’ve been watched. Currently having to remember what episode I left off on. (3) maybe add a DCOM section so all those are in one place. Overall, I love Disney+ and I’m so excited to keep streaming all my Disney favorites.Delia_99Version: 1.1.5
Love the app but…The app is great but I would like to be able to watch all of the shows available in other countries like Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse or at least be able to download them when using my vpn and watch them downloaded when it’s off. I would also like to be able to screen record and screen share on mobile. Not whole movies and shows just clips I can send to family and friends. I also think the new movies from Marvel should be immediately put on Disney Plus. You can have it in theaters, I have no problem with that, but the fact that I have to wait four to six months for a movie to come out on Disney Plus is ridiculous. That’s their favorite everything, toys - vacation - etc., and I really love giving my kids all the old cartoons I had, and they like them better than a lot of the newer content. BUT I HATE this app because of two things.
1. IT IS VERY BUGGY. My girls have been watching Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, and it keeps coming up with “Oh No Something Went Wrong”. I cannot just simply go back out and come back into the episode. No, I have to unplug the HDMI cable from my iPhone, cancel out Disney Plus, then go back into it. Two episodes it wouldn’t even let us get past 2 minutes. It bugged out at different spots at least 5 times in 10 minutes per episode. If any Disney plus material freezes, forget it. It will rarely restart itself. As long as it plays, it’s fine, but you can forget rewinding or fast forwarding. That causes it to freeze.
2. My second issue is that you have to manually go to the next episode. So if I’m streaming onto my television so my children can see it in big picture, i have to stop what I’m doing every 15 or so minutes to go to the iPhone or iPad and press play next episode. With other tv and movie apps, I won’t name names, it automatically goes to the next episode without pause.
As I said, I LOVE Disney, and I love that they put out their brand new movie “Onward” in the app when Corona hit and movie theaters closed which stopped children from seeing it. They did that with no extra cost, unlike another kids movie at that time that still charges $20 to rent, so you can tell Disney cares about the kids and their customers, but they REALLY need to fix these two issues..IcebmommaVersion: 1.6.1
Amazing but.....So Disney Plus is literally the future. All of my all time fave movies are finally all in one place! INCLUDING Marvel, National Geographic, and Pixar. Now this one little app is all of the BEST movies out there. I can’t even begin to explain how easy this makes life. I can watch Aladdin AND Avengers on the SAME platform!! While this is incredibly mind boggling there is an issue I think they need to fix or spread awareness about. I have one account for the family and I decided that I wanted to make an account just for me. So I looked up weather it would cost more money, and everything read that it would be no extra charge to make up to seven accounts. I thought this was great so I made a new account; a few days later it showed a little banner overhead my account saying that it would up my charge starting the 28th. This made me so MAD that every website I went to said this would be free when it wasn’t. I do understand that this was not Disney Plus fault, but I do want them to spread awareness that some people are saying these things. Even if It wasn’t their fault it still made me mad and that’s why I have the four stars.

Great app, password system is trashFirst of all, the app has great content and is very user-friendly. I enjoy that there are movies for a variety of ages, and profiles are pin-protected.
The reason why I’m giving this 3 stars is because of the password system. There has not been a single experience where I’ve tried logging back into the app after an update or something and the password will not be accepted.
The account is a part of a Verizon Wireless deal that my mother has, so it’s in her name and email. It’s like there is some kind of disconnect between her phone, my phone, and our TV (Insignia Roku TV). She doesn’t seem to have issues logging in, but there have been few times where I can get logged in on the TV or my phone. Usually the TV will not allow casting unless signed in on the TV first so that’s pointless (not the app’s fault but I figured I should mention.)
She has reset her password numerous times, like 3 or 4 and it’s like the database doesn’t update the password information on other devices or something. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling it hasn’t worked either. Really frustrating. Other than that it’s a really cool app so I hope it can be fixed..DoineeeedanicknameVersion: 3.0.1
Truly wonderful, but needs a few adjustments.I absolutely love Disney+ it has brought me back to my childhood and that’s a wonderful thing to give to the world right now. All the Disney channel originals i could never find anywhere else is all right here and it makes my heart so full of happiness and nostalgia. But there’s a few issues as others have said. First, why does it have the second movie and not the first one for some titles not all but I have been noticing it with a few movies. Like with National Treasure for example, the first one’s not coming out till April 2020 what was the thought process there?! Second, when you go to rewind a movie with the touch screen in your phone it’s not accurate at all. I’ll go to a certain time take my finger off gently i might add and then it either jumps way ahead or behind of what I actually chose. Third, like others said the continued watching section is terrible why do i have to go back and search for where i was on some movies I’ve never seen, that’s just asking for spoilers just like the rewinding situation. I just have a minor suggestion for a future update that would make things a lot easier for us (and I’m sure others). Our son LOVES to watch the Mickey & Friends shorts. So much so, that we re-watch them constantly. However, after an episode is over and it’s continued to auto-play, if we go back to a previously played episode, it stars playing at the credits. There is no “play from the beginning button”. That leaves me scrambling to manually hold down the rewind button. Now it’s not so bad to have to rewind something, but the real problem is once that episode that I rewound is over, it will auto play the next episode and (because it was previously viewed) starts playing that from the credits again! It’s extremely frustrating considering the episodes are only 3-4 minutes long. On the Disney Now app, if the episodes were played to completion, any rewatches go back to the beginning. If you had asked me 4 years ago, when I first signed up for Disney+, I would have said it was a good subscription price for the content, especially if you had littles, it was nice to have almost everything at your finger tips and never had to worry about non age appropriate ads popping up. Safe. However, after considerable price hikes every year and this new tier business it’s really not worth it. Especially because we went for premium this year and Disney has the audacity to still push promotional content! I paid for no ads I expect no adds not random shippable ads.
Disney will tell you the price hikes are for the shows that are only produced through the service, Star Wars and Marvel, but I don’t think it’s worth it. The shows are not great and it feels like content for content sake and unless you are dedicated to watching every scrap of content they throw at you, you’ll never keep up.
It is nice to get all new movies into the service, eventually, but I only watch them out of curiosity and my low expectations are met every time. It just feels like loss of Disney magic and more of trying to get as much from you as they can without while doing as little as possible.
It feels hypocritical to continue to have the app but I don’t know if we will renew this year. At this point you could probably find the DVDs of all the Disney movies you like and renting the ones you don’t for the same price as subscribing..SleeplesswhereverVersion: 3.3.0
Way to many issuesI have had this app since launch even signed up early but I can’t justify it the content you get is amazing great for kids and with all the star wars and marvel movies and originals but it has way to many problems to be a positive review first at the start and it’s better now but it still is pretty bad but it says my password is wrong on almost every device and I’ll reset it and it will confirm it but it still won’t work then downloads even if I leave the app open and my phone on and set it so it doesn’t lock and it’s on wood with full 5G they will just stop and one of the biggest of all downloads disappearing… our family has a large ranch that we love to go to and it has no cell service or WiFi so we download shows before hand and we wanted to watch movies so I got all of the star wars movies and avengers with all the new original shows and it took up 44 gigs on my device and 15 min before we left our location with the whole extended family they vanished all of the downloads gone but when I checked settings Disney plus still had 44 gigs of downloads but they weren’t there on any profile so now we don’t have movie night because cellular is taking to long I’m writing this hours after this event and still 5 episodes have finished and these issues aren’t devices being outdated issues these have been happening on my 12 pro max m1 MacBook Pro and my family’s m1 airs brand new iPad Pro and iPad Air 4 this is really getting on my nerves and I really can’t recommend this awful app.An angry star wars fanVersion: 1.16.0

Buyer…er…Subscriber BewareDisney, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to REQUIRE that users input their date of birth to be able to use an app for which you pay. They also want to know your gender, although that is not mandatory. When asked why, they make vague comments about customers having problems when an account is blocked due to an association with a user under 18. The rationale starts to fall apart when you ask why they cannot just allow you to say you are over 18… or 21…or 25. Suddenly that is not sufficient. Apparently the brain trust at Disney thinks that someone under 18 would easily check a box saying they are over 18, but they would come to a screeching halt if they had to put in their date of birth. I mean, what person under 18 would ever lie about the year of their birth to get something that they wanted? No, the real reason that Disney is doing this is to start sucking up information so they can monetize it. Then, when you explain that you are not comfortable with providing personally identifiable information, they assure you it will be safe. Really? They are probably right. I mean, when have you ever heard of a data breach at a large company? Stop the woke, stop altering showsI’ve noticed an increasing trend of altering movies and shows, which has become both frustrating and disappointing. For instance, Disney changed the dryer in Lilo & Stitch to a cupboard and pizza box, while Family Guy now has censored cuss words, edited episodes, and unnecessary additions, like Buzz and Woody randomly appearing on the ceiling in season 17, episode 18. These changes feel intrusive and unnecessary. Stop altering the original content! Restore these shows to their unedited versions.
As an adult, I’m the one watching shows like Family Guy or Deadpool—not my children. That’s why age settings exist: so kids can enjoy content suited to their profiles, while I can watch what’s appropriate for mine. Initially, I was a fan of Disney+, but this constant editing and altering of content has made me lose interest in the platform. These revisions strip away the authenticity of the shows I loved.
On top of this, the push for “woke” content often feels forced and uneven. For example, Disney now highlights a “Black Stories” section, but where are similar sections for other ethnicities, such as Native American or white stories? True diversity should celebrate all cultures without favoring one at the expense of others. This kind of unbalanced representation gives cause to question and even boycott Disney. Good Content, Poor Customer ServiceI am a college student and subscribed to Disney plus the same day that it came out. I really enjoyed all of the shows and great Disney movies that came with the subscription. Unfortunately several weeks later the service suddenly stopped working on the WiFi network of my college campus. The problem has nothing to do with our WiFi, everything else works fine. After contacting Disney plus about the issue they said that our network was whitelisted for some reason and that issue would be resolved within 1-2 business days. Well the issue wasn’t resolved and despite contacting them several more times it is still not fixed. Our campus IT department has now contacted them and we are told the issue will be fixed in 24-48 hour, but of course still isn’t fixed. It has been a week now of no service, and still nobody on our campus can use Disney plus, so the dozens, if not hundreds of students at my school who subscribed haven’t been able to watch here for a week. As far I’m concerned Disney owes everyone at my college a refund. Throughout this whole process they have been very evasive about the issue, and while they’ve continued to assure us it will be fixed, I still can’t access the service that I payed for. You would think that the largest entertainment conglomerate in the world wouldn’t take a week to fix an issue that’s affecting so many customers, but clearly they can’t be bothered. Good video library and content but lousy software and experienceThere’s an excellent library of content in here. However the constant frequent mandatory required software updates are ridiculous. I’ve never had an app that mandates a full software update as often as this one. Disney is wasting my time and bandwith. I’ve been a subscriber since day one of the service and there’s been over 15 mandatory updates in 18 months. Also it’s very difficult to see my own selection of my titles that I’ve saved in my favorites because Disney chooses to only let us see its graphical icons of some movie poster rather than just presenting it in text. Also, I add movies to my favorites list and Disney remove them whenever they want. It’s my list of my favorites, but whenever Disney take something out of its library even temporarily remove my favorites from my list. That’s just horrible customer service and their idiot buyers who make decisions on what movies to add and delete should look at their users favorites list first and not screw over their customers. How about Letting users sort their own favorites list alphabetically or by category or by date of release of the movie. Was good until they updated to no sharing accountsI’m so mad at Disney for this. It’s so stupid because I have seen many cases, and I’m one of them, where the only reason we liked Disney+ is because it let us share accounts with family members who couldn’t afford to pay the ridiculous amount asked for a subscription. Because of this, heads will turn, and not the right way. Maybe in the first year, people are going to miss and all, buy subscriptions, but eventually no one will want to pay and Disney will probably lose a majority of their customers. I’m just telling you, Disney, just because your popular and you find a dumb chance to make better money doesn’t mean you should. You probably thought that by taking away account sharing, more people would buy. Well your wrong, because that’s not my case anyway. We’re not paying you $7.99 a month for dang basic plan. Great selection, horrible appYou’ve got an amazing selection of movies and shows to choose from. The app though, both in iOS and AppleTV are terrible. Want to watch a movie or show again after you’ve played it? You can’t because the “Play” button will just load the tv or show up to the last few seconds of the credits. You have to manually select the video and rewind to the beginning. No ‘continue’ or ‘play from beginning’ options. You can’t even see if you’ve watched something before. No history info.
Try moving to a different genre in the Movies or Series sections and it just jumps you back to the menu selection. Trying to find movies or shows is cumbersome and confusing with their layout and sections. For example, want to watch Hercules? You’d think it’d be under Disney, and then the animated movies section. But after scrolling left and right searching for the movie (instead of all the movies in that section just opening in a new page to scroll up or down on), you realize it’s not there. Where is it? Why in ‘90s Throwbacks! Where’s Alice in Wonderland? In the Princess and Fairy Tales section. I guess neither of those movies are animated? There are movies on there that aren’t even available! Some you won’t be able to watch until 2021 or 2022! You get exited to watch a movie, click on the title and see a note that you can’t watch it. Why even bother putting it up!?
Lastly, there are movies completely missing, especially those in a series. The app is overly complex, missing key features and movies, and a headache to search through. For Disney to submit and release an app such as this is a disgrace..Widgie13Version: 1.1.5
Nonfunctional iconsYour app still has some flaws even after all of these years, but the two biggest ones so far that I’ve discovered is that when opening/previewing the title card for a show, documentary, or movie, you CANNOT press the “X” button in the corner to exit the title card to keep browsing through other shows/movies. The only way to exit the title card is to swipe down from the top which shouldn’t be that way only. Not everyone is going to know this and some people may think the app is just not functioning correctly.
Second, when editing profiles, I found myself having to force close the app because I was unable to go back into the app to continue navigating shows and movies. The ONLY method I found that even remotely worked to go back into the apps shows and movies was to continue swiping right from the top left corner who knows how many times before it registered my gestures to go back (I’m certain this is an unintended glitch as you should only be able to press the back button once to continue navigating through the rest of the app).
UPDATE: I actually found that going into ANY of the app’s settings gets you stuck in the settings page until you can find that sweet spot to gesture right to FINALLY get out from the app’s settings, my god that was annoying! Glad it’s a free trialHave not been wanting to write a review since I’m receiving it for free. But enough is enough. For a multi-billion dollar company, you’d think they would have beta tested the app with a large focus group before rolling out this complete useless app. Now I have used the app on my iPhone 11, Xbox 360, PS4 and my IPad (7th gen) with the same issues across all of them. So to start I noticed a previous review about the rewinding going to showing what’s next.. well FYI your update did not fix the issue on my PS4 (which is the primary view medium I use). So I won’t beat a dead horse on that, issue still there..
secondly why does my video pixelate while the volume continues until I either rewind or fast forward. And since rewinding takes me to a whole different screen (the what’s next and info page) I can only fast forward and the start the show/ movie over. So I have had to watch the same 4 episodes at least 5 times to actually view the whole thing.
I am very disappointed in the fact that Disney chose to immediately seek monetary profits over the quality we have all come to love and expect from them. It has landed all future Disney movies on the redbox list, until they decide to actually put out a quality product I will wait until it’s available on redbox.
Also if your whole idea is to not have people use P2P networks to watch your shows, maybe give us an option to use your service just like any other streaming service.

Frequently causes issues with connectivityApp works great through non-iOS devices but locks up about every 20-40 minutes on iPhone or iPad. Not just the app itself, but most other apps lose connection to their servers as a result despite that several speed tests show the device is still well connected to WAN. Doesn’t happen with any other apps and is consistent across multiple devices. I’d suggest the devs look into how Disney+ handles data traffic on iOS because having to turn WiFi off and on several times an hour is simply aggravating. Also, regardless of connectivity… it would be an absolutely smashing idea to make it easier to access the main menu for recently-watched series (I.e. the page that lets you select seasons and browse episodes). I’m sure it’s either an oversight or perhaps too difficult to implement basic infrastructure changes, but so far, users only have the option to restart the last series episode from the home page and exiting with the “<“ option at top left just brings you back to home. Wouldn’t it be especially nice to not have to click through multiple menus to find the series you were watching (for me it may have been seconds ago) every single time you use the app (aka what customers should and do expect)?.Tritip fairyVersion: 2.4.5
Continue watchingI wanted to add, I just got an email for an update to the terms of service. One of the updated ones in the email mentions ads, could be in the ad free or the paid ad free version where they could still show you ads. It's in stuff that is expensive to Disney. First if I pay for ad free I expect ad free second Disney has so much money that should not be pushed down on the paying customers. If you choose to host or show that content that's on you. If I ever get ads while I am paying the premium to get all ad free services I will cancel my whole plan and go with a different service. It's just stuff I don't understand how it makes it on a streaming service when you have stuff like Netflix that have done this for so long. I have finished a movie and music video and they will not leave. I have forwarded all the way to the credits and let it sit and it then asks me if I want to play something else. I exit that and they are still there with the bar full being completely watched. Is it really hard and rocket science to think maybe we should remove or let someone remove something they have already watched so it doesn't bog down their list. Horrible Lag Recovery MethodCompared to other streaming services, Disney+ is the WORST when it comes to how it reacts to a laggy connection. The fact that the audio continues to play while the image stops requires you to pause the video lest you want to wait forever for the video to catch up once it regains connection. This has been this way for YEARS and no one seems to care to fix the method of recovery due to lag. The image and audio should stop SIMULTANEOUSLY. That way you don’t miss parts of the movie when you press play again. Disney needs to hire someone who actually knows what they’re doing. Not to mention that paying for NO ADS is false advertising. NO ADS still makes you have to skip ads. NO ADS should mean NO ADS. Not the ability to SKIP ADS. Call it SKIP ADS not NO ADS.

It’s been BAD regardless of internet provider (Comcast, Spectrum, Tesla Mobile network in-car, etc) for YEARS. And across multiple platforms (iPhone, PS4, Tesla screens, and smart TVs). It’s not the fact that it has connection issues, it’s how Disney+ programs what occurs when connections issues happen. The loading icons comes up and the video pauses while the audio continues. We thought at the beginning of Disney+ that this was just because it was a new streaming service, but the fact that it is still doing the same thing means Disney+ cares more about money and less about the customer experience. Love hate relationshipFirst off I love all the amazing movies from the past and The Mandalorian Is soooo good! But recently the customer service has been sub par. On all my devices, as of two days ago after the few months it has been working fine is no longer working when on my home Wifi. Restarted router, uninstall reinstall all apps and support says it’s a WiFi issue. To test that theory I wold start a vid on data then quickly switch to WiFi and it works fine... I would even Fast forward/rewind pause and play to make sure it wasn’t just saved buffer and it all worked just fine. When I would exit out and try to resume the vid it then gave me an error message saying not able to connect... all customer service continues to do is say it is something on my and even after stating the facts then has yet to respond or give any details even requested a call back they said some one would respond in 10 days... My computer can stream just fine when on WiFi when I stream through there website so this is another indicator this is an app issue but no one wants to look into it or address this it seams. If they would make more of an effort I would not write this review. 100 some bucks isn’t a big deal for a year but it’s the principle of lack of accountability and assistance. My beef with Disney plus.I can 100% appreciate the selection of shows/ movies but… the reason they have such a selection is because Disney, as a company, is such a money hungry capitalist pig. Max was my go to for shows like the amazing world of gum all and Steven universe now I go want to watch them I have to go to Disney. Watching an episode is now 30% ads. Horribly brokenOh here we go again literally seconds after I write my review about how horribly made this awful app is. I try to watch something disney plus doesn’t load then it logs me out. Too many errorsI think the available titles are awesome, unfortunately, with this new rolling out of star, my experience has gone downhill and I would no longer recommend a subscription until things are sorted. Parental controls were automatically attached to the account of my husband and I- we have no kids and there is no reason for this. We could not remove them ourselves, and neither could customer service alter our account for us- I was told that about a week later I could make changes. This meant no access to WandaVision or the Mandalorian- the two shows we were watching the most. I contacted support and mentioned I'd like a refund for the time lost not being able to use the service as promised. The customer service experience in itself was very frustrating, and I didn't receive any of the follow up mentioned about my case. NOT WORTH IT I am canceling my subscription because of this issueSo if you chose to watch anything through disney+ on your TV, the movie or show will play until you hit an advertisement, then it will stall and not play UNLESS you go on your phone, watch the whole 2 minutes of ads meanwhile you need to exit out of the app on your television, launch Disney plus AGAIN select the movie again, and HOPEFULLY it will load to where you left off on your phone. This will happen every single time an ad pops up. Just wanted to watch a movie with my family and we spent an additional 30-40 minutes on working around this issue. I was okay dealing with it until I couldn’t even get the ad to play through on my phone during the last 18 minutes of the movie. I have seen many other users complain about this issue. Why all these ads now?! Cancel and Boycott Disney+This used to be the best streaming service. So many classic Disney movies and shows! MCU! Star Wars!! Then February 14th or 15th all the shows were saturated with ads!!!! I literally watched the first five episodes of Andor with my family February 13th ad-free. We loved it, had a great time. THE VERY NEXT DAY we tried to watch the rest of the season and every single episode had ads about every ten minutes. It ruined the experience for my family. Right there in the middle of the season. Worst app ever here is whyI’m not kidding when I say this is the worst app ever movies are fairly good but most aren’t good at all. There’s only like a couple movies that I actually enjoyed on here. Also, the renewal payment will not work. Great service bad appAs a streaming service Disney plus is very good but as an app it is bad. This is not a review of the service but a review of the app. One of my points for Disney plus being a bad app is that it crashes randomly and will not open for a bit after it crashes. Recently my power went out and since I had a lot of stuff downloaded on Disney plus I thought I would watch that until my power got back on. But when I opened the app it went to a dark blue screen and then crashed I tried again but the same happened. Then I tried to restart my iPad and try again. When I opened up Disney plus after I restarted my iPad the same thing happened. So instead of using Disney plus I had to use Netflix. When my power got back on I had to delete Disney plus and redownload almost 100GB of shows and movies. The reason I’m writing this is because just now a few days after I I redownloaded Disney plus and all my shows and movies the same thing is happening I thought it would be solved with the new update but no.
