I was paying A lot more for this than I ever should have. Google was, Billing me for Google Drive for google 1 and then adding in 200GB for more photo storage It said I needed but didn’t! Am done getting ripped off! even now, that am canceling the theft, I have almost every GB of the 2T am paying for on Google Drive and it keeps telling me I need to buy more cloud storage before losing ALL MY DATA! Google takeout is a scam everything is corrupted nothing can be downloaded! Am done getting ripped by cloud storage going back to External SSD! Microsoft Google Apple are ripping people off.

I think that this is a good app because it make seeing all storage or things you need to organize and makes it simpler to see. I don’t have to go through settings to see what I need to fix or move around when I can click this app and boom I can see things. Life made easy without the hassle, stress, and confusion so get the app if you need help with organizing on your phone!😉📲

The current app does not support dark mode. If also needs to have more options for back up. Right now, it only allows to back up calendar, contacts, and photos. I know Apple doesn’t allow other cloud services to back up iPhone’s whole system storage, but that needs to change. Maybe it should start with google. In addition, the app right now does not support Workplace accounts to use this service. I wonder why not? It’s not like workplace accounts don’t pay for the same service if not more expensively.

So far since I’ve downloaded this app I was able to retrieve majority of my storage back which is very helpful for me! Before getting this app I was going to purchase more storage space but now that’s not necessary since Google 1 helped me retrieve half of my storage space! Thank you Google 1 forInternally cleaning out my phone! I highly recommend this app to everyone! You won’t regret it!

Well google and me have had some hard time I hope you get past it wish the was a better way to know if someone else was in your account or a way to look up the computer s you use to be logged in on

There should be a feature to find duplicates on Google Photos because no one wants duplicates same thing with the rest duplicate files are not necessary unless you’re making a copy just in case something bad happens like file corruption. There should be a duplicate manager.

Google one has been cloud storage and account support for over 2 years now, they have never not been able to resolve what ever issue may arise in a pleasant and timely manner. Thanks Google One Team! Wade Moxley Sr.

I think google one is a great idea and it is great but 1 main issue for me:when I delete files (for me google photos) the storage is the same it doesn’t go down I’m on a free acc so not much space so other than that I think it’s great that’s it

Google one is a must have to keep my online personal info together and organized. The platform is super easy to navigate and understand. It helps me keep my emails photos and family all together in one place. LOVE LOVE ITS DEFINITELY A MUST HAVE!!

When using a VPN on my iPad, I often experience traffic interruptions, which leaves some of my online activities exposed in very dangerous environments. I hope your team can fix this issue as soon as possible.

Love google 1 I am a current iPhone user and I wanted to back up my phone with iCloud but I needed to get the subscription but when I used google 1 I backed up my phone for free!! And and yet I have tons of storage left

I am extremely happy with google one, the support team and the perks are off the chain. I would encourage everyone to give google one and all things google at that. Get googled today!

It works great for all the things I do and being able to access what we need as a family. A bit slow initially if you have a lot to upload. But after that it's pretty straight forward.

4/5 stars because i can't find the option to change my the option to change my family's main administrator account!

Integrates my google one benefits, except that I would like google vpn to be available on iOS.

I downloaded this app because I want my phone to use my Google contacts. It turns out I didn’t need this app to do that, you can have it done natively. But, the app shows you how to do it which was nice of them. Outside of that I had no idea what this was. If you use Google Workspace at work, this is basically that except for personal accounts - probably with different features.

Great app, downloaded for the VPN, however I don’t see a way to set to the country server you want to use. Someone please let me know if I’m missing the obvious. Also, it slowed my download and upload speed by roughly 30% and that’s using an iPhone 14 Max on a 1gig up and down fibre optic internet service from Bell Canada. Cheers.

Over the past 5 years I’ve had my accounts gotten into me get locked out of so many so far in the past five years. They have taken my pictures taking my videos and if they don’t take them, they mess them up and blacken them because you didn’t secure my accounts. In my first account there are pictures and videos that I need to give to the law for these people stalking me. But can’t because there changed the number and I get locked out and I have my password. You have let these people do this to me for five years. You do not secure my account in here. I cannot play my videos now that I need to give to law but. Because Google not secure them, they have stalked me for five years and I can’t get to what’s mine and that’s my pictures. You have stolen them and let them steal them to. Google has let them do this to me and want give me my account. Even when I choose security questions. It doesn’t do then it goes straight to there is not enough evidence to prove it you. Pathetic google is

For over a month now, I have been communicating with Edna who is a manager/supervisor for google one. I have lost years of missing photos that are not on google photos. I requested a phone call from a google one member to look into this. There have been 43 emails between myself and google one, and I still have not received a phone call to discuss this matter. Every time Edna apologizes and sets up another date and time for the google one team to contact me. There have been over 10 times that these phone calls have been scheduled and I still have not received one phone call. I have emails to prove this. I have also given google one, two phone numbers to try, and still nothing. Edna needs to be fired ASAP and google one needs better customer service than this, and to figure out what the problem is on why a phone call has never taken place.

This app is interesting right. I think the first thing is the storage. I’m happy to get so much cloud storage with the pedigree of Google backing it so can’t really complain about that. My gripe with this app is the VPN. Since the last few updates (this is on the most recent IOS 16.6.1) the VPN is so wonky and disconnects and reconnects often. I wish it has more reliability since it is through Google who are software geniuses so you’d think it would work as well as something as Proton, Nord or Surf shark but it’s extremely limited and the only way to make it have an location rather than US is a single button in the view more menu. All and all I believe it could be better for being a Google product and one of the reasons I was enticed to even get it.

Will submit buganizer; but if you have low signal and you open the Google One App to Enable or Disable the VPn, you can’t until the app screen full loads. It seems to want to load my subscription status first, before it will allow me to disable or enable. however, it completely shows “Special Member Benefits” immediately after opening the app. in my situation i was needing to disable the VPN to load a webpage, i had one bar, and the app is just there hanging trying to fully draw the app UI, meanwhile i’m in a rush trying to just shut it off so that i could do what i needed to do, which would have worked with one bar of signal. however, one bar, going through a VPN, just took way too long. i ended up missing my opportunity to do what i needed to do.

The app is useful, and basically functional. However, the VPN functionality (my main reason for using the app) needs serious work. The UI will not load unless you can connect to the internet, which is fine until the VPN stops working (common) or gets blocked. Suddenly, you can’t turn off the VPN that’s preventing you from accessing the internet, since you need access to the internet to get to the switch! If you turn it off in apple’s settings, it will immediately try to turn itself back on and reconnect, with the only recourse being to remove the vpn configuration or find a way to get online.

My goodness I cannot believe that yet again I’ve been thwarted by a google app/service with zero functionality offline. I’ve been using the VPN in google one and fantastically when I tried to join the wifi on a plane the VPN kept trying to connect (but couldn’t since there is no real internet). I wasn’t able to go disable the Google One VPN because the stupid google app does not work at all without internet no way to turn it off (beside deleting the google one app). The VPN just sends constant notifications that it cannot connect. This is the same type of issues that made me throw out my google wifi routers, it seems I will never learn that google products just are worthless

The vpn is the most useful feature of the app but does not work consistently. You will see the vpn animation appear in your phone’s header multiple times as it turns itself on and off independently. The theory is that this is due to unstable connection or switching networks. I’ve stopped using as it makes using the internet challenging since the connection will be lost completely while it tries to reestablish connection. It would be nice if google could find a better workaround for this or notify the user that there may be issues and allow you to easily turn it off.

I have been verified or at least should have and it appears (maybe family members?) have been using my email(s) and that could be the issue with my Google One and Google accounts are not allowing my administrator capabilities to verify. I created all that I built and shared/collaborated. Any ideas? Otherwise, the bundle concept if it stays secure and double checks security and Authenticator rights stay with the right people who did the work and own their property(s). I look forward to continuing in developing, collaborating, learning, and enjoying all Google Companies services and platform!

Every month my account gets double charged and this month they double charged it and now act as though I don’t have a subscription 🙃 so not only are y’all double charging my card only to not let me use my subscription, I can’t talk to support bc you have to have a membership to… which I do that y’all double charge me for 🙃 every month it’s an issue - google photos is my favorite app but I’ve had nothing but issues with google one and my membership. I’m unsure who’s at fault for the double charging, it may be apple, but regardless - the lack of ability to contact support at all about any of it is in fact infuriating 🙂🙃

The Google One VPN drops its connection multiple times per hour, often failing to successfully reconnect without manually disabling and reenabling through the Settings app. This results in the phone thinking it is offline, failing to send or receive emails and notifications until the connection is reestablished. I have tried reinstalling the app, reinstalling the VPN profile, restarting the device. Every feasible option. This issue seems to be isolated to iOS, as my macOS device has no issues on the Google One VPN. I've filed a bug report on GitHub in the Google/vpn-libraries repo. Issue #38.

The best features One offers, in my opinion, are the VPN, the extra photo editing features in Google Photos and of course my 2 TB of storage… However, when using my iPhone or Mac using iOS, the VPN & Editing Add-ons will not work. The storage itself spans across my Gmail, Photos, Calendar and other apps/programs that utilize cloud storage seamlessly and effortlessly. Another positive is, on the rare occasions I need support for Gmail or any Google family of programs/features, the preferred treatment by Google Support is definitely lovely. Lastly, for me, the perks don’t manifest into savings per se. The discounts on hotels are on par with those I received already via booking apps and loyalty programs. Also the retail discounts are negligible at best for how often I have a need for Google retail products. So, while I am not against it, on iPhone/iPad/Mac, Google One is nothing to write home about.

Got ad in my email to upgrade to 2 TB with huge limited time discount. I had 100gb at that moment . Ok. Buying this , hot congratulations message - at the end - I didn’t get result 2TB . After tech support emails back and forth- nothing resolved. They don’t even see transaction. After reaching out my bank for dispute- transaction found - money returned and they cancel my storage I had before this NEW transaction . Canceled without my agreement to that - I was just questioning new transaction found, but they cancel my subscription that I had before - at the end I lost almost 4 months that was on my subscription. 2) Nothing returned on that. Not easy to find answers or connect to support, 3) support not even know how to help or solve problem - (i have messages/email where you can even question “did you even read my email to you first, before replying?” lol) 4) not recommend .. but GOOGLE/gmail so needed for business or work , service - otherwise stay away !

If you’re getting this for the VPN, don’t. I’ve missed countless time sensitive messages because the vpn just randomly disconnects your phone from any and all networks. No 5g, no lte, no wifi, just no connections at all. I just had to make an emergency call with my iPad because the vpn went down, wouldn’t reconnect, and my phone was basically an iPod touch without wifi access. Yeah, remember those? It’s made me mad enough to leave a review. I thought it was a bug at first, but after several updates, it’s become clear that Google doesn’t care about fixing it. I’m switching.

It is virtually impossible to speak with a person if you have any issues. For example, they billed my visa with an address I haven’t lived at for 13 years in spite of me giving them the correct billing address. Then visa declined payment and I again entered my billing address. Last year, they billed to my current address but this year they reverted to an old one. You can’t speak to anyone at google one. There is virtually no way to speak with a human in the case of issues etc…I’m very disappointed with the lack of service! I would not recommend them to anyone in the future.

And it keeps disappearing google used to be my every day all day go to and now it’s just a huge disappointment and it makes me depressed because I’ve lost so much personal information private information I’ve lost like a lifetime of memories to this crap app it’s supposed to be for the every day user is supposed to be easy and they have just gone to far there’s no real person behind anywhere to help you in which case your account is compromised again and again and again it’s all a bunch of blah blah blah

I decided to cancel the “free” premium trial after learning from support it applies only to the family manager, and not to the family plan members. There is no way to turn off AI Premium (includes Gemini Advanced “Help Me Write” email feature). I made that mistake today. Now I am paying twice as much a month ($20) until I can migrate all of my backup and storage to an alternate vendor so I can cancel. I worked with Google support for half an hour to find a solution. Not a good day.

I’ve never used the VPN, but since Google is scrapping it I gave it try. Worked alright for most of the day, but later my phone completely lost its connection via cellular or WiFi. Without knowing what do I figured it must have been the app vs widespread provider outage. After deletion it’s like it flipped a switch (probably because it did) and my phone is working again. I really wanted to like it, but since Google is discounting the service it must be acting up. I don’t know. But it will remain off with the app deleted.

Account Juggling: Managing multiple Google accounts can be like herding cats. Sometimes, it feels like my data’s doing a tango between accounts. A bit of a cluster, if you ask me. And scary doesn’t begin to describe it, where I feel that some information that you don’t want to share to another account the login and ”switch“ always offers a frightening adventure. You’re never too sure, again: proceeded with caution, always. Caution Ahead: So, here’s my word of caution: Google One is not flawless. Use its products wisely. They’re powerful but not infallible. Timing Woes: Yes, there are moments when Google One slows down my digital ventures. Be prepared—it’s part of the the world we live in today. Remember, even giants stumble. It should take 8 hours to back up 30 mins of video it’s been “uploading” for two full days now don’t pay for this super, disappointed in google I think I’ll stick to iCloud just wasted $10 and yes I have excellent signal no vpn on and i left the app open for hours now when I try to Cancel my subscription it says cannot connect try again I’ve tired multiple times will never use google again it’s such an inconvenience

I have been using this app recently and at first it worked pretty well, but then, starting a few days ago, the von keeps disconnecting and I have to constantly restart it multiple times a day now to keep using protected internet. I hope that in the next update that they fix the problem and the app will truly be amazing.

Sometimes when I connect to the VPN it will later in the day cause my wifi on my iPhone to say that my wifi does not have internet connection. this is definitely because of the VPN because it has happened more than once. I have to delete the VPN and restart my phone every time. please test this and fix it! other than that, I find google one to be superior to iCloud

Defective UI for photo access on iOS. If you start down the path of selecting photos instead of allow all, but then decide to press cancel and go back, the UI fails to let you choose again and let you pick the allow-all option. Why did such a basic UI design fail get past testing into release? How trustworthy is the security of the rest of the app overall if the app is being coded by beginners and released without testing??

My Google account got hacked. I cannot get in due to my password not being correct and my two step verification email getting hacked as well has caused me to lose all my data. I’m currently paying for storage of all my photos and data from 2009 to the current year. I cannot get into my gmail account with all of these photos. Support isn’t helping me and I’m at a loss. I’m currently distraught. Is there a way to help me?

Okay, so I am having such a hard time with Google One VPN on iPhone 15. 1. The VPN keeps disconnecting, I have deleted vpn, and deleted the app, and still unstable 2. CarPlay, wired CarPlay and wireless CarPlay will not work when the VPN is connected, when the VPN is turned off, CarPlay works right away with no issue. 3. Because of reason 1, the VPN is now useless, I am only having this issue with iOS, vpn works like a charm on my Galaxy Tab 5G, with no disconnection or anything like it works like it should.

Workspace and apple verification has locked me out of my business email for over four months chat supports useless I have paid too much for nothing google one not including you tube ad fee? Why? Dark mode is necessary for some of us otherwise I like all of the options for a Microsoft substitute.

I keep trying to upgrade my storage and i do get charged but i still have the same 100gb so i went to chat and explained a number of times what i was trying to say and was told they are sorry but there is no more storage than 100gb (but there is a lot more) and they are sorry but there is no refund and no way to upgrade. I’m missing emails and photos and google just says “sorry”! Nothing we can do!

On my iPhone, the VPN constantly disconnects and reconnects, taking down your Internet connection with it. The only fix is to delete the app and reinstall but that will work only a few hours, then needs to be done again. Over and over. PS, if you sort by most critical reviews, you’ll see that Google has had this VPN disconnect problem for two years. They don’t know how to fix it and/or don’t plan to.

I paid for this so I could have access to support. I unfortunately had to contact them this week. Immediately I was laughed at for wanted to protect my information and the line was disconnect. On reconnect the agent accosted me. Requests for supervisor were met with a dead line and ended call with no follow up. You may say it was a bad connection, but 4 times in a row after asking for a supervising agent and no follow up after?

I used to love google, but now I am bombarded with spam in the guise of a shared document. Google has done little to address this, you can block individual spammers, but you cannot restrict sharing to people in your contact list, so the spam is a never ending game of wack-a-mole. Report and block one spammer and shared document, only to have 2 more replace it. If this continues, I’ll have to migrate off “my paid subscription” to google one, and Gmail.

Iphone xs and iphone 13. The vpn locks up the internet after a few hours. I have to turn off and back on the internet to have the vpn allow it to start working. If I keep the vpn turned off, the phones work as normal. Been like this for months, every update gets worse. When downloading apps it actually prevents its own app from downloading, which stops ALL other apps from being able to download.

The point of getting the VPN is null if the service refuses to work. I download and redownload and the only thing that happens is i get multiple notifications that the VPN cannot connect- meanwhile i’m left with no wifi OR LTE connectivity. I tried to talk to google support and they said to update the app…..when i’m downloading the app everyday to try again. the joke is on me for getting my hopes up that google would have this functioning.

I received a charge this month for Google One. I’m an iCloud user and have no use for Google One. I did not sign up for it and followed the instructions for canceling, but unable to successfully complete the transaction as there is no identifiable cancel button under management plans tab in the application which I had to download to be able to fulfill the cancel requirement.

If you are subscribing to Google One for the VPN, don’t. It’s not reliable. VPN is always disconnecting. I can be on any app, and it will notify me that there is no connection. The VPN icon at the top will suddenly appear and the connection restored. It’s extremely annoying. When I found out VPN was included with my subscription, I was thrilled. Now, it’s a terrible bonus. I’ve been using the VPN on all my devices and it’s the same everywhere. I’ve contacted Google Support. I did all the troubleshooting with them. Same issues. They were going to contact me to check if there were any improvements… they never reached out. While writing this review, the VPN has disconnected and reconnected 3 times. It’s trash.

First I couldn’t get emails, so I upgraded my plan. Then it didn’t go through, so I tried upgrading again. Then I called Apple (where I have a lot of data) figured out how to delete videos that took up space, and tried to downgrade my plan that I accidentally upgraded because it kept telling me I didn’t have enough space and now I can’t figure out how to downgrade my plan.

Firstly it seems to disconnect quite often. But what’s worse is if it’s struggling to reconnect and I just want to turn it off, it won’t just let me turn it off because it seems to need the internet to display the page where you can turn it off. How did they think that was a good idea?!

No way to change my membership, chat function doesn’t work.

Just Purchased a 100gb plan for additional storage space but found out that the courtesy 15gb free offered by Google gets subtracted from all plans as the total amount and I find that misleading because nowhere does it mention that as a side note. So be aware of buying additional storage keep in mind the -15gb off the amount suggested. Other than that the app and service seems to be ok for now.

I subscribed so that I could use the VPN while traveling and using public wifi. The VPN prevented me from using offline Google maps (using the VPN caused Google maps to only work while I was using data, which used enormous amounts of data), and common public wifi would not work (Starbucks, Walmart, etc). Could not turn off the VPN after discovering these issues, I had to delete the app to turn off the VPN. Google One help chat was completely useless. Shocked that this app was such garbage, incompatible with other Google apps, and created so many headaches during my traveling.

They deducted 30 dollars for AI premium after offer for 2 months. I asked for refund and cancellation same day. Refused to do so.

I was dealing with constant fallout with my WIFI networks on a new iPhone 15 pro max, thinking it might be the phone. Turns out it was the google one VPN, or at least some kind of bug with the new phone not sure…

I have done everything to try to pay for a subscription but nothing seems to be working and I can’t do anything with my Google accounts because my storage is full. This is exhausting

Made it incredibly difficult to even enter my card number. Any attempt at support was met with a complete dead end, with Google pushing incompetent AI to go in circles. Let me give you my money so I can save my photos and remove your services altogether.

Doesn’t really add any value to download. They’re slowly removing all the perks of being a One member, first VPN and now dark web scans without providing alternatives or even providing new services.

This app will happily harass you if your Google account starts to become full but won’t let you upgrade your plan or tell you that you have to go to the website to do so. Worst experience I’ve had with an app in a long time.

Good luck trying to find the place to cancel should you not use this app!!! They make you go around in circles with cancel buttons NOT actually cancelling. VERY SCAMMY BEHAVIOR. For what $3/month? That's not worth their integrity. Unbelievable!!!

This app sucks on an iOS platform. It keeps on glitching and resets my network.

Lacks common functions offered by competing vpn services and simple functions like picking certain networks to activate the vpn on and which networks not to.

I only use this app for the VPN. I wish that it would load faster and not bug out if I don’t have wifi or data connections. Maybe like a standalone google vpn app
