As advertisedI think that really sums it up. They offer certain medications for certain reasons. You tell them what you’re interested in, they ask you questions and if you qualify based on your answers then they send you the meds you ask for. If you want to change your prescription be it a different medication or a different quantity you can literally get on the app and it’s stupid easy. If you don’t have the bread to cover it at the moment you can just “snooze” the prescription, and then if you end up with the money later you can simply click “refill now” like I just did and you get your script soon after. I honestly don’t pay attention to how long it takes to ship but it seems fairly quick. I don’t remember ever feeling like I was waiting forever for them.
Oh, and also you can chat with your medical provider at anytime though the app and I’ve never waited longer than a few hours for a response. Under normal circumstances you just get your little brown box in the mail and you don’t have to mess with anything but enjoying feeling better or giving it to your wife.

Was really goodIt was doing really good at first. My boyfriend doesn't have any health insurance and has been in need of some anxiety/depression medication for awhile now. Horrible ServiceMost bizarre interaction with a doctor I’ve ever had. It’s clear these people don’t know what they’re doing.
I came to Hims for ease of use and price, but I’d already been assessed, diagnosed, and treated by several doctors in the past. I filled out the Hims assessment, which is sparse and leaves no room to explain anything, and waited for the result. They got back to me and told me that they could not see me. No explanation given. Surprised, I responded with my history, thinking that since their assessment does such a poor job providing the necessary information for a doctor to make a decision, they’d see my response and change their minds. The doctor responded by saying that because I had taken a particular medication in the past, they couldn’t see me. Here’s the problem: I was prescribed it 20 years ago for reasons other than the reasons it is usually prescribed, only took it for a few months, and then stopped taking it. Any other doctor would have asked all of these questions to get a full history. Instead, Hims just denied me service without getting my history and without any consultation. Bizarre. Horrible company. Miserable customer service experience and lacking ethics.I was a customer for years and really liked the products after trying most. Basic features have been removed. Control over what you receive and when has been systematically removed over time in a clearly overt effort to boost profit. Everything is structured to keep you subscribed and make it a pain to cancel, then burn you on what you’re owed once you cancel.
Basic customer service is a completely miserable experience. Literally one of the worst I’ve ever gone through and it’s 2023. They won’t refund or change anything no matter how soon you try after an order is “placed”. They won’t provide itemized receipts or even any coherent receipt that says anything about what you’re paying for. They won’t allow you to remove all cards from your account. The accounts get cancelled as a “service” so any prepaid services you have prepaid for and not yet received are just theft by this company. No partial refund for unused services and no fulfillment of prepaid services up to the point of the end of the prepaid time period.

I’d give less then 1 star if I couldAbsolutely awful experience. I was subscribed for months and at the beginning it was awesome. I was subscribed to a 30 day supply of treatment on auto refill . The last 2 months the refill process wouldn’t start until like 3 days before I ran out of my current supply, so my treatment would run out and then I would have to stop and start again when the new shipment comes in. When you chat with the folks through the app, you get 1 robotic reply every 3-5 days, and no one seems to grasp what I’m saying. The patient support said I should login and change my cadence. I’m the patient dude, I shouldn’t have to worry about cadence of my medication, that’s what doctors are for. I should be able to pay for the service and then get my treatment delivered to my door every month without gap in my treatment. If it takes 5-10 extra days to complete the refill process then start that process 15 days into the last refill so by day 25 of 30 you have the new supply. Its not that hard. Really disappointing experienceI gave Hims a shot. They offered a prescription for me to try (not shipped nearly as discreetly as they advertise). I didn’t think it was particularly helpful so I only tried it once or twice. None the less I was charged for another dose without my knowledge which was shipped and delivered (without me even being aware) which felt both like a scam and a violation of my privacy because I did not know to keep an eye out for a package with sensitive contents. Customer service was not remotely polite or helpful. I offered to travel to return the unopened package (that I felt violated my privacy) and I was essentially laughed at. Horrible!!!!I have never once written a review for a single product, service, restaurant, or anything before. This app doesn’t even work, I get to the Home Screen and can swipe around but select nothing. My first order arrived shattered to pieces and I can’t even get on the app to do anything about it. Never using again.I have been using hims for a couple months now, and didn’t have any issues for the first few. It is now been 10 days past the time I order was supposed to be sent to the pharmacy to be refilled, and it still hasn’t been filled and shipped. I was told that they were seeing an increase in my specific medication being unavailable, but I believe with medication that something you should let the person know ahead of time. The response of customer service has been multiple days, and the most they offered me to reconcile the situation was 25% off my next order, which is not really enticing to a service that is proving to be very unreliable. The simple fact is I don’t pay these premium prices for slower than Walmart speeds.
I have never been more enraged and irritated by a company, and I’m not someone who gets irritated lightly.
I’m continuing to get advertisements, which means they’re pouring money into marketing. Maybe they should focus on taking care of the customers that they have first before getting more and more people…

Unlike other app subscriptions, HIMS does not alert you that an order is about to process so you’re stuck with your subscription order even if you don’t need it. The onus is 100% on the consumer to know when their order will be processed, which is what they want bc they know most people don’t pay attention to their order ship dates.

They don’t really care about youFilled out the questionnaire because I was curious. Then they give you 3 pricing plans if you want your results. Unless you want to pay $50 per month you have to get the 1 year subscription for $340 or $29/month. Fine… The part that bothers me is they then looked at my questionnaire, decided I should try escitalopram, and sent me the medication and charged me for a 1 year escitalopram subscription without discussing escitalopram with me first or getting my consent that I agreed to use this product. I tried discussing it with the nurse who prescribed it but they won’t answer. I just wanted to speak to someone to make sure this is really the best treatment for me but It feels like they don’t care about me and just sent me lexapro and moved on to the next patient.

Won’t remind you of next refill date by defaultLike many of us, I have a lot of subscriptions. I just suffered a job loss and discovered the charge for my Hims prescription as “pending”. I had totally forgotten the date this started and I was curious why I never got a reminder. I looked in the Hims App and saw the “remind me of my next prescription date” was unchecked by default. I called customer service and explained my unfortunate situation but all I got was the “you should have cancelled the order before our 48 hour window”. I’m sad they couldn’t help me out. It also doesn’t help that I’ve not seen any progress with the product I’m paying $150 for … again … and I can’t afford it.

Credit card required, no cancellation optionI wanted to try out Hims to get a fast convenient refill option. It was expensive and didn’t work for me since I found a MUCH cheaper option for the same thing. They take your credit card and start a monthly prescription that is charged and sent monthly. You can pause this but then you have to remember to go in and change it regularly or it will automatically send and charge you. The medication I chose is “as needed” so I don’t need it on a regular schedule. I need it when I am ready for it and will request it. Intentionally confusing to take your money.They creators of this app make it intentionally confusing on when and how much you will be charged. At first they say it’s 150 for 3 months, then a different menu appears showing 30 per month for a longer service. So I choose the longer service and speak with one of their “doctors” about a specific medication. Then I am immediately charged 350 dollars for a year of service. I then contact customer support to cancel and get my refund which leads them to say “we have already partly processed your order and cannot cancel but we can refund 261”. Can’t cancel subscription in appYou can’t cancel the subscription in app - what’s the point of even having it if you can’t manage your subscription on here? No notice of renewal either, which is also a huge bummer 👎🏽 When you do go to cancel on the website, it takes like 8 steps to cancel the subscription. Using dark UX patterns to trick users / make it difficult for them to cancel is so unethical. Up to this point, I was really enjoying the overall experience.

App needs work, communication is awfulApp is having issues and trying to reach someone does take a bit longer than expected, looks like 3-5 days to get a response on anything. Billing, product questions, it support, pretty much anything.
Responsiveness as a whole is awful and trying to get a hold of proper person can be difficult. I currently have issue with order and unsure of status to correct or if have to pay for another order 6 month order that wasn’t an option at time of checkout and now app freezing. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling and relogging into app to remedy. Bad customer serviceOrdered some hair product and delayed the start of use. The product itself seems fine - jury is still out though. My “subscription” apparently auto-renewed. I never. Received a single email reminder asking if I wanted to renew or delay. Not one. Instead I just get hit with the charge on my credit card. I immediately contacted customer service that same day within hours of the charge asking to cancel the auto order and that I would refill later. I pinged the email each day. No response for 4 days. I finally received a response saying “sorry we can’t cancel the order”. How about alerting your “valued” customers about upcoming orders? I’m quite sure the lack of notice is intentional. Trash Customer Service.Hims is a joke. This company has gone public and the profiteering shows. There is no way to talk to anyone other than an AI bot or email. I asked for an itemized receipt for my FSA, after I purchased. I received an email saying the could not provide me an itemized receipt and do not accept HSA/FSA/Insurance even though I paid for my prescription with my FSA.
An itemized receipt isn’t very difficult to provide, and my FSA confirmed they would accept reimburse because it is medication.
Not to mention the markup on the generics must be huge. I checked their Twitter and they seem to be hiring for every position except CSA’s. Tons of growth at the company and no will to support customers.
So now I will have to back pay my subscription since HIMS won’t make me a receipt or give me a copy of my prescription.
This is my last time with HIMs. I will be checking other concierge services.
Also, spare me the generic “we’re so sorry about your experience response”. You’re company makes sure to respond to one star reviews to protect its reputation, but doesn’t respond to customers in the app, via email etc..1JohnnyFuegoVersion: 4.20.0

Can’t even make appointments for anythingIt’s been over two weeks of waiting to make an appointment to talk with a physician and absolutely none have been available. For one day, there were some slots for the end of September, but there were only 4 and they were all during work hours. This service is absolutely unusable if you don’t have anyone available. Heck. I waited on live customer service for 20 minutes as number 1 in queue without being helped. Your entire service is absolutely useless if you can’t allow time slots to make appointments. I feel left outAbsolutely disappointed that because I live in Virginia, that I am not eligible for a specific product. I feel that I am being discriminated against because of where I live. What irks me more is the app knew where I lived before I began the assessment. Save your money.They scam you into getting a subscription before you can realize what has happened your getting charged and then shipping take significantly longer then what you’re told. Shipping is not discreteFirst off, shipping comes in packages with their logos all over it. Definetly not discrete and your neighbors will wonder. Secondly, you can not cancel subscriptions even if you call. I have tried 3 times and I will have to do a fourth. They say they cancel and then I get a package. Have to dispute the credit card charge and try to cancel again. I tried deleting my credit card info and it is not possible. There are some many similar services out there that I would use before this one. Roman was a much better service, easy to cancel, and it shipped in a plane brown box or black plastic envelope. Absolute scamMedication is way over priced, they’ll send out lexapro or etc but can’t send the required medication to combat the symptoms that the medication will cause to increase meaning you need to go to a doctor for that. Then charge you randomly saying they charge seven days before your subject to run out. Well I paid on the 1st recieved my medicine on the 6th and got charged again on the 23rd the math doesn’t work it’s a 30 day supply and now they refuse to refund me although my new order hasn’t shipped and I canceled on the 23rd as soon as I saw the charge pop up in my notifications. No Customer SupportWanted to try a weight loss program, ended up being over 2K but wasn’t told so until afterwards when they attempted to process first order. Order never went through because I don’t have 2K+ in my account to cover the meds. Try to go in to change the package maybe less months or trying a different method like the pills, and I could not make any changes or alter anything without customer support. They don’t have customer support, they have an FAQ page with articles which isn’t helpful. App never seems to work.I’m not sure which is worse, the Hims customer support of the Hims app. I’ve been using the app for almost three weeks, and in this time frame more than half the time I’ve not been able to use the app. It allows me to scroll but I cannot click. I can’t log things in their website that I should be logging on their app because it’s only on the app. Good luck getting help from their auto let support. They will not delete your accountTried to use and was denied so I naturally wanted to delete my account. Well the only way to do that is to email them and after months of waiting for an email saying they will not delete it. I emailed back asking why and have not received a response In months. Save your time and just see a doctor.
Edit: now the company updates their website and sends the same response to every negative review instead of actually reading why people had bad experiences and trying to solve them. Never received my order.I was not given my prescription. I checked the video recording from my apartments. It shows the postal worker only put one package in my P.O. Box. At 11:07am on whatever day they said it was delivered. I have an open case with the post office. They haven’t gotten back to me. I think hims should stop shipping in brown packages that have an “h” on it. I think people are catching on. Package are being stolen left and right nowadays the more incognito you can be the better just put it in a white post office baggie package and don’t put your name or logo on it. Convenient but shadySigning up was convenient and medication was shipped quickly. But they inly notify you of your subscription after it will be shipped, giving you no time to cancel and forcing you to pay. Most pharmacies will ask if you still need a refill but not this one. No real representatives to talk to, giving broken links to their policies and procedures. This company already has a couple of class action lawsuits against them. Over charged twiceI won’t be using hims anymore after my second bad experience with them. Over charged twice. I canceled my subscription with them after the first time, then signed up again a year later. The second charge was more than what they said, by a lot! I canceled again after this last experience and won’t be returning to do business with them ever again.

Don’t botherI haven’t received the product yet. However they didn’t make it clear it wasn’t a monthly payment. They also didn’t tell me they would be charging my card til it went through.
