WHAT THE WORLD HAS BEEN WAITING FOR | Hims hears us, & great patient care.

This is simply amazing, life changing for me. Hims holds a special place to me because in a world full of chaos and crooked insurance & medical care, Hims has changed the game. The ability to get treatment for my depression in an easy and friendly process with insanely affordable prices due to no insurance, I was able to get Depression medicine for a year for $350. That’s absolutely fantastic, less than $1 a day. All of this while still maintaining great communication and doing follow ups & LISTENING to their patients. And while doing this I was able to utilize some of their other products that are things that many of us ignore but Hims makes it so easy & stress free to get these very helpful treatments that tradition doctors make such a painful process to do so we just never go. help with depression, Better sex, better hair, BETTER LIFE! Even anti aging products as well to keep you looking and feeling great. I am very thankful for Hims and can’t even put a price tag on how helpful it has been for me, especially as someone with no medical insurance. If you have not tried Hims yet it’s definitely worth a shot to try and the agents and doctors really are helpful and do follow ups & allow you to manage your treatment and ACTUALLY LISTEN TO YOU!

As advertised

I think that really sums it up. They offer certain medications for certain reasons. You tell them what you’re interested in, they ask you questions and if you qualify based on your answers then they send you the meds you ask for. If you want to change your prescription be it a different medication or a different quantity you can literally get on the app and it’s stupid easy. If you don’t have the bread to cover it at the moment you can just “snooze” the prescription, and then if you end up with the money later you can simply click “refill now” like I just did and you get your script soon after. I honestly don’t pay attention to how long it takes to ship but it seems fairly quick. I don’t remember ever feeling like I was waiting forever for them. Oh, and also you can chat with your medical provider at anytime though the app and I’ve never waited longer than a few hours for a response. Under normal circumstances you just get your little brown box in the mail and you don’t have to mess with anything but enjoying feeling better or giving it to your wife. The only negative I have… is that it seems expensive. I’m not really knowledgeable but it seems very expensive for the sort of thing it is. Surely it’s not that expensive to produce and provide, but what do I know. I’m a satisfied customer though, that’s a certainty.

Quality of Life

I very strongly dislike drugs, but to prioritize my family requires me to prioritize my wife’s fulfillment, which requires me to exercise diligence (with caution) to ensure I’m doing everything necessary to be a good (hopefully great) husband. Hims does an incredible job of making competent medical professionals incredibly easily available to answer any and every question and a service staff that addresses every operative concern—on a perpetually ongoing basis. Testing treatment alternatives to find what works best for my unique body has been astonishingly easy, and I’ve developed comfortably and confidence talking about issues I was too uneasy to talk about with even my wife previously—yet less schedule an appointment …actually what would’ve been a series of appointments, repeatedly sitting in waiting rooms to get expert advice that would have cost me hours and hours and several hundred dollars. A HUGE THANK YOU to Hims medical and service staff!!!

What Hims is Really About

I was not prepared for this, when I first heard about Hims. So if anyone is concerned about these guys, I know that I was, and I wish someone would have told me this when I was thinking about using them. First, and most importantly, these guys really are, 100%, a helpful, caring team of people who really, and I mean REALLY know their business. They are helpful, knowledgeable, caring and MOST of all, a team that works together to get you taken care of FAST. I don’t have a bad thing to say and I mean that with all my heart. I had an anniversary coming up and these guys got me what I needed a day before my anniversary, instead of the 2 weeks afterwards when it was originally scheduled. Thank you everyone there for everything you have helped me with. You have definitely made me feel much more comfortable in dealing with this situation.

This New App Is Soooo Good!

As a long-time Hims user, I have to say, I always thought the site experience was good but nothing that really stood out. This new app has totally changed that. Super easy to navigate, full of really helpful content—both created by Hims and from the Hims community—and very easy to utilize to chat with your doctors, set up a new consultation or explore products and service you may not have otherwise thought about. Simply put, if the site experience was something that I would try to get through as quickly as possible, the app experience makes me want to hang out, explore and discover. Not to mention the visual appearance is fantastic. Check it out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Men’s health all in one

Honestly is a great app and company. I originally got on because I wanted treatment because I wasn’t performing like I use to. Got on a program and the first day I felt like I was 20. Just the confidence and assistance in that made me feel great. I am going on to seek further treatment for mental health, the ease of use, anonymity, and one stop shop on men’s health makes it well worth the assistance. Having doctors reach out to help you made it even easier and gave me choice in my health and treatment plans while also keeping me informed. This isn’t just to treat your ED problems, this is a total men’s health assistance that is well worth it. I feel better and will continue to use this.

Love the product

I started using Hims not because I was losing my hair because I wasn’t. Filling out the initial questionnaire was a little difficult since all the questions led to hair loss problems. In my case my hair didn’t have the healthy look I wanted so I figured let me give this a try. The first five month bottle gave me hope if nothing else. I started to notice changes that led me to order the next. After finishing up my second i was hooked. My hair never looked as it does now, it’s full, it’s has waves that I never had before. I guess the only issue I have is I’m seeing my barber more often now.

Feeling optimistic

I haven’t received my medication yet, but I’ve been watching many of the videos that they provide as helpful and educational information about what Ed is, what Pe is, the main underlying causes of these conditions. Suggestions for multiple types of treatment and or combinations of treatment, like as in, therapy + specific exercises + a recommended dosage of a recommended medication or any combination of 2 of the 3. There’s much more information, suggestions, and a team of licensed physicians specialized in this field that are truly there to help and accessible through the app to speak with at any time.

I’m looking forward to pleasing her and hopefully get back to enjoying the sex that we used to have so these meds and the videos makes sense together and I should have a lovely holiday. It’s been four years I talk to my doctors nothing seem to get done nothing seems to work so I’m hoping that this one does he goes nothing thanks and I will give update on my performance after the holidays. Please stay tuned.

Hims: Telehealth For Men Negative Reviews and Ratings

Broken App, broken logistics, terrible service

They’ve been charging me for Months for a product that they’ve never sent. I’ve complained for months, and they’ve done nothing. I finally sent five months of order numbers (plus a couple I couldn’t prove but am fairly sure they also didn’t send), and the best they can apparently do is to offset the cost of the most recent order that they screwed up. Not all five months. And finally, one agent said they discontinued the product months ago, despite it still being in my recurring order. (They haven’t charged for it the past two months, but they stopped sending it LAST YEAR.). This tells me that 1) their logistic are broken, meaning their fundamental business is in shambles. 2) Their customer support doesn’t have all the information, meaning that system is also in shambles. 3) Their orders page is incomplete (can’t copy paste order numbers for Customer Support, no dates are displayed at all and I have to tap into the DHL shipment to get a sense of timing), meaning that their app development org is in shambles. Long story long: They are accidental crooks that have taken my money and squandered it, and they will no longer have my business. Also, their remaining hair products are on Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drugs for a fraction of the cost. Why is anyone still using Hims?

Daniel.williamsVersion: 5.16.0
Beware forced automatic renewals! It’s a scam. Using product as prescribed and I have too much!

Before when they’ve filled it too early they have pushed it back for me, now they are refusing to do so. You have to be set on automatic renewal which is not user friendly or accessible. My prescription from the doctor was at an amount where I wouldn’t run out of product in three months it would take about 6 to where I would need more. I constantly have to remember to push it back manually and if you miss it, now they will not wait. The product hasn’t even shipped yet they can easily stop it like they have in the past. Additionally, there is no warning when they are going to charge your account they do it without telling you at all, there is no message even though it’s forced to be set to automatic. I did NOT authorize this latest transaction and they are refusing to push it back. They have literally done this in the past but now are saying they cannot. Complete lie. The directions for usage have me using an amount to where I do NOT need a refill as often as they push it, as per their own doctors instructions on how to use it. Instead of pushing it back and continuing my account with them I am no canceling it for the lack or communication, the forced automatic renewals, and the “inability” to refund when I literally do not need the product the product because of how they told me to use it. I wouldve kept my account with you but I have now canceled it and I will no longer be using any service provided by you. Your policies do not make sense and do not benefit the user. I DO NOT need the product yet because of the prescription given to me by your doctor. You could’ve continued to receive my business but now you will not.

4.8 stars?

There’s no way this app is truly getting 4.8 stars by users. It is unbelievably hard to navigate because there’s just way too much unnecessary information on there. Also, the app should automatically track your medication’s. For example, I’m taking GLP one and I gotta go to the third panel to even see the medication. It’s stuck on the first month when I am in Montu this should be on screen number one letting me know as soon as I open the app what dosage I should be taking. I shouldn’t have to look for this information. Oddly enough, what’s on the main screen that you can’t get rid of is them trying to sell more things to you? I was in the middle of filling out a prescription for testosterone, but I don’t want to take it in pill form. Now that unfinished application is front and center on the app every time I open it I don’t want your medication. I should be able to delete it. The whole app is set up to sell you more stuff and not actually help you at all even when I get messages it’s sort of hard to find if you have a message coming in from your doctor it should be prominently displayed on the main page of the app I shouldn’t have to look for it.

Horrible Service

Most bizarre interaction with a doctor I’ve ever had. It’s clear these people don’t know what they’re doing. I came to Hims for ease of use and price, but I’d already been assessed, diagnosed, and treated by several doctors in the past. I filled out the Hims assessment, which is sparse and leaves no room to explain anything, and waited for the result. They got back to me and told me that they could not see me. No explanation given. Surprised, I responded with my history, thinking that since their assessment does such a poor job providing the necessary information for a doctor to make a decision, they’d see my response and change their minds. The doctor responded by saying that because I had taken a particular medication in the past, they couldn’t see me. Here’s the problem: I was prescribed it 20 years ago for reasons other than the reasons it is usually prescribed, only took it for a few months, and then stopped taking it. Any other doctor would have asked all of these questions to get a full history. Instead, Hims just denied me service without getting my history and without any consultation. Bizarre. I’ve never felt so unheard by a medical professional. Stay away. These people don’t know what they’re doing.

Horrible company. Miserable customer service experience and lacking ethics.

I was a customer for years and really liked the products after trying most. Basic features have been removed. Control over what you receive and when has been systematically removed over time in a clearly overt effort to boost profit. Everything is structured to keep you subscribed and make it a pain to cancel, then burn you on what you’re owed once you cancel. Basic customer service is a completely miserable experience. Literally one of the worst I’ve ever gone through and it’s 2023. They won’t refund or change anything no matter how soon you try after an order is “placed”. They won’t provide itemized receipts or even any coherent receipt that says anything about what you’re paying for. They won’t allow you to remove all cards from your account. The accounts get cancelled as a “service” so any prepaid services you have prepaid for and not yet received are just theft by this company. No partial refund for unused services and no fulfillment of prepaid services up to the point of the end of the prepaid time period. All around a bad company that’s clearly ethically devoid and lost us as long term customers.

I’d give less then 1 star if I could

Absolutely awful experience. I was subscribed for months and at the beginning it was awesome. I was subscribed to a 30 day supply of treatment on auto refill . The last 2 months the refill process wouldn’t start until like 3 days before I ran out of my current supply, so my treatment would run out and then I would have to stop and start again when the new shipment comes in. When you chat with the folks through the app, you get 1 robotic reply every 3-5 days, and no one seems to grasp what I’m saying. The patient support said I should login and change my cadence. I’m the patient dude, I shouldn’t have to worry about cadence of my medication, that’s what doctors are for. I should be able to pay for the service and then get my treatment delivered to my door every month without gap in my treatment. If it takes 5-10 extra days to complete the refill process then start that process 15 days into the last refill so by day 25 of 30 you have the new supply. Its not that hard. I canceled my service and will be going with a new provider. I almost never leave reviews for companies but this has been a mind numbing experience for me

Incompetent providers.

My overall experience with anxiety and depression treatment through hims has been nothing short of terrible. I started taking Prozac which is an SSRI medication and during the course of the treatment the symptoms of anxiety and depression significantly increased during the course of this treatment. The providers that I spoke to insisted that I continue taking the medication at a much higher dose even after developing suicidal ideations. I was hospitalized at a psychiatric facility for 3 days where it was determined that the dose that I was prescribed was excessively high causing too much serotonin levels in the body therefore generating the suicidal thoughts. During my stay they discontinued the medication and prescribed me a medication of a different classification. I felt much better after a few days of discontinuing this medication. I planned on continuing to get the medication filled through hims only to be told that my subscription would be restricted due to patients that have been hospitalized at a psychiatric facility require advanced care. I hope this message is seen by the correct person because it almost cost me my life; don’t cost the life of someone else.

Absolutely Terrible Experience and Customer Service

From the very beginning, this all went downhill and continued to snowball. First, everything was approved, bit nothing shipped for two weeks. Then I contact Support, which is all AI, no real people. Then I get another approval and still marked not shipped. I contact them again and ask when it will ship. Then it just shows up the next day and is all pf a sudden marked shipped. Open it and it’s a two week supply. The next supply shipping date isn’t for four weeks. So there’s a two week scheduled gap. I contact them again and ask why. They say they sent me an 8 week supply. Ask me to take pictures. It was already two weeks later. I used the two and disposed of the box. So I contact them again, and no response for 36 business hours. I finally contact them again and say just refund me. They finally get back to me that they’ve refunded me for the next two refills, but did nothing for the first one that wasn’t full. No wonder they were sued, lost, and will probably be out of business soon.

Kingpete00Version: 6.6.0
This service has 1 major flaw thats pretty annoying

First and foremost this app is a great idea and is executed well BUT one very simple thing needs to be fixed. Whenever you need to change your subscription plan or anything instead of making a change in the system they have to cancel EVERYTHING and make you start over with a new provider, ask questions etc and then get approved. I like to not leave a lot of money in my account so when I finally got apprivef they charged me immediately and obviously it was declined but instead of charging me again I just got notified not too long later that my subscription is canceled. Im going to have to again fill out everything to get my stuff situated. Also heads up there is no monthly charge it is a one time payment for the whole amount for the time period you choose. Also A bonus fix would be to PLEASE Separate the Provider chat from the Customer support chat. It is not convenient at all to have two separate situations going on in the same chat.

Really disappointing experience

I gave Hims a shot. They offered a prescription for me to try (not shipped nearly as discreetly as they advertise). I didn’t think it was particularly helpful so I only tried it once or twice. None the less I was charged for another dose without my knowledge which was shipped and delivered (without me even being aware) which felt both like a scam and a violation of my privacy because I did not know to keep an eye out for a package with sensitive contents. Customer service was not remotely polite or helpful. I offered to travel to return the unopened package (that I felt violated my privacy) and I was essentially laughed at. They seemed all too happy scamming me out of a couple hundred dollars. This is a scam. Learn from my mistakes and don’t end up with the same regrets as I. Stay away. UPDATE-the disingenuous formulaic response highlights exactly what you’re signing up for. When I reached out to customer service they offered nothing and I never got the follow up from a manager I asked for. This is a company of scammers and liars

Terrible experience with Hims – would not recommend

I had a really disappointing experience with Hims and their minoxidil spray for hair loss. First of all, the product didn’t work for me at all—no visible improvement after consistent use. Then, out of nowhere, six months later, they charged me again and shipped a new order without checking if the product had worked for me or if any of my information had changed (which it had). Their customer service was awful. I contacted them immediately, but they couldn’t cancel the order or issue a refund, even though the order was still in their lab and hadn’t been processed yet. They showed zero interest in helping or following up, and overall they were extremely unprofessional. It’s clear they don’t care about the customer experience or whether the product is actually effective. All they care about is pushing sales. I would not recommend Hims to anyone looking for a serious and responsible hair loss treatment provider.

No Way to Cancel, Spray breaks constantly

The company has no reliable way to cancel, following their own documentation leaves you with no results. If you try to cancel before a renewal, they'll drag their feet until they send you another supply, then say, "Oops! Too late, sorry!" The worst of it all is if you use their spray bottles, every single one I've had has the spray portion of the plastic break. This company seemingly is incapable of using the money you spend them to develop reliable products. And the sad part is that the product does work, but it's surrounded by incompetence and greedy management that prevents the experience from being good. Add to that they'll start shipping you pills without you having ever wanted them to in the first place, since I only signed up for the spray... There's not a lot good I can say about this company. Go to Keeps instead? That's what I'm doing, but hey if you don't believe me, go read the Better Business Bureaus website for all the comments there.

Plan to be charged before you agree to anything here!

I downloaded hims just to try and figure out how it worked and what it was about. I was struggling with some anxiety at the time so I figured I’d look into it. After I filled out the questionnaire thinking it would show me some recommendations and or have me speak at least over the phone with a professional. Instead it filled me a three month prescription of some drug I didn’t technically want or ask for. No big deal right? I’ll just call them tomorrow during business hours and they’ll cancel no problem right? Not right! They changed me like $150 bucks and when I asked to cancel the transaction (literally the day after sinning up) they made me speak to three different managers only to tell me that the best they could do was refund me basically half! I’m not saying that it couldn’t be good for the right person, I’m just saying they will take your money before you know that you’ve agreed to anything.

This app is a SCAM

They lock you into a subscription you don’t even know you’re signing up for by hiding the language in the middle of paragraphs long disclosures. Then 6 months later without any warning whatsoever you get a shipping notification for more product and are hit with another charge for hundreds of dollars. Again, there’s NO WARNING this is about to ship/be charged/etc. Other subscription services I’ve been a part of have had the moral fortitude to actually warn you before another payment is about to be due. To not do this is morally bankrupt, especially when you’re talking about a non-refundable charges of hundreds of dollars. Customer support is absolutely useless, it’s clear this is part of their business model because they are quick to tell you there are no returns and no refunds. The product had just shipped that very day and it was already too late to cancel, return, or get a refund. Save your money and shop elsewhere, this place is a SCAM.

Charged membership fees without ordering meds

I used Hims for years. I recently logged in to look at the GLP one options and saw they had a $149 a month membership fee, which does not include any medication. I got through some of the set up process before I saw this. I did not order any medication and went on to order from another company. I was auto bill for two months when I noticed on June 3. I requested a refund and they said they could not request it because (copy and pasted) “Since a member of the Care Team has already completed a review and made a medical determination that you are eligible for treatment, we're unable to provide a refund for your membership fee. I truly apologize for any inconvenience” filing a dispute with my credit card company. Deleted my data from Hims and deleted the app. To end up being charged a membership fee after selecting a medication and checking out his predatory and I will not do business with this company again.

Never again

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience using the HIMS app and dealing with its customer service. The entire process feels disorganized, unclear, and frustrating from start to finish. There is absolutely no consistency in communication. Every time I reach out through chat, a different person responds, forcing me to repeat myself over and over again because nobody seems to review previous conversations or follow up properly. There is no ownership of issues, no continuity, and no sense that anyone is actually managing the customer experience. The app itself lacks clarity and direction. Instructions are vague, navigation is confusing, and there are too many disconnected points of contact. Instead of simplifying healthcare and support, the platform creates unnecessary stress and wasted time. Response times are unacceptable. Waiting hours for a reply through chat is already frustrating, but phone support is even worse. Long hold times combined with ineffective communication make it nearly impossible to get straightforward answers or timely assistance. For a company that promotes convenience and accessibility, the actual customer experience falls far below expectations. Better communication, accountability, follow-through, and clearer guidance are seriously needed. At this point, I have completely lost confidence in this service and will not be using HIMS again.

Truly Terrible, Outdated App Experience

This is aesthetically pleasing and appears to have all the bells and whistles, but in practice is a web-wrapped nightmare. Nothing supports the actual user journey in an organic way and constantly puts more manual work on the user at almost every turn (when did you start the program? App is not tracking it. What medication are you taking? App is not tracking it. What is your medication schedule? App outlines this information in a generic, top line way that requires multiple taps and recalculating as time goes on, not that tracks with you in real time.). My favorite is checking your medication schedule in the app, being taken to a list of all medication they provide and urged to “download the app!” As this is clearly just a web wrapped experience and not a natively built app experience. Truly awful to the point that if I were not so deeply in the program I would absolutely look for another provider.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING!!!

I am warning anybody and everybody. Do not start anything on HIMS. You cannot get out of your purchases or subscriptions. You can only pause them. Super hard to delete your account and customer service is horrible. Had a guy named “NOAH” helping me out and because I didn’t responde in 5 minutes he told me he was leaving the chat because it had been a while since I responded. They had me waiting 24hrs for a response or any help. I had a phone call I needed to answer for work and instead was told “take care and wish you the best” after being told I was taking a while to reply. Didn’t realize 5mins was an inconvenience as I was given 24hrs. I’ve been trying to cancel my subscription and my account and they’re dodging me. Going to have to leave a comment and review on BBB. They added more stress in the past 3 days and I was supposed to be getting treatment for it. Not helpful and horrible that you can’t cancel either or.

Scam

They say they want to help make you a more confident you by helping with hair, etc. but it’s all just propaganda. I subscribed, signed up, even paid ahead of time for treatment plans and heard from no one. Eventually there was a message under view from an “expert” (probably an AI) and asked me questions which made me believe that I was finally making progress. I replied explaining my situation and my interests and that was a month ago. I’ve never heard back. So, I’m retaliation I cancelled my credit card because I’m not about to pay for a subscription on something that is just looking to have my information on file and take my money when I haven’t received anything. I’d delete it if I were you. It’s nothing more than fake advertising for stuff that never happens. I’ve deleted my account and app since then and suggest you do the same before you get too deep that you can’t recover from it.

Horrible!!!!

I have never once written a review for a single product, service, restaurant, or anything before. This app doesn’t even work, I get to the Home Screen and can swipe around but select nothing. My first order arrived shattered to pieces and I can’t even get on the app to do anything about it. The customer service isn’t AS awful as people say but it’s still almost impossible to reach a real person and I can’t even submit complaints of this app and have to go online where it’s harder to submit pictures of my shattered product which they need to help me with a replacement. Cancelling does seem annoying but I haven’t done anything yet. But the worst part is the app worked fine when I needed to sign up and put in payment info and subscribe but as soon as somethings wrong I can’t click on a single thing. Fix your app, you’re letting down a good product.

Feels Shady

Over a week for delivery, especially for the first order is deeply concerning. That fact was not addressed during the process. I suspect that is by design. The company charges a premium price compared to the same medication purchased through traditional channels. So reasonable delivery should be standard. The only reason to send a package in such a manner is to save a few dollars, which of course begs the question how else is the company cutting corners to increase profit margins. They are poised to offer additional products. It’s easier to find additional services than info on the current orders and treatments. Even the intake for one treatment is conditioned to recommend other services over addressing the present issue. And don’t get me started on the number of emails.

A pain

Was forced to download this app to track my shipment of meds, once I finally got signed into the app I was unable to even see my shipment. The app itself is just a terribly put together version of the website, will LESS information than can be found on their website, it is mostly littered with ads for other hims products. One section that seemed useful was a text message style version to communicate with healthcare specialists, and I had already received my message from a “dr” (bot) about my prescription. Unfortunately I could only read 15% of the message because the app only showed the left edge of the message, as if I was supposed to be viewing it on a computer monitor. There was no way to navigate either, only scroll up and down. I have nothing positive to say about the app. Would not recommend using if you don’t have to.

Poor subscription model

They get 2 stars for the ease of ordering meds but note that their subscription model is predatory. Unlike other app subscriptions, HIMS does not alert you that an order is about to process so you’re stuck with your subscription order even if you don’t need it. The onus is 100% on the consumer to know when their order will be processed, which is what they want bc they know most people don’t pay attention to their order ship dates. So, if u set up a subscription with HIMS, make a note of your next order ship date bc they won’t alert you beforehand, won’t alert you that they charged your card, and once processed (mesning, they charged your card) they apparently don’t have the technical ability or human know-how to cancel orders that haven’t been packaged or shipped out yet.

They don’t really care about you

Filled out the questionnaire because I was curious. Then they give you 3 pricing plans if you want your results. Unless you want to pay $50 per month you have to get the 1 year subscription for $340 or $29/month. Fine… The part that bothers me is they then looked at my questionnaire, decided I should try escitalopram, and sent me the medication and charged me for a 1 year escitalopram subscription without discussing escitalopram with me first or getting my consent that I agreed to use this product. I tried discussing it with the nurse who prescribed it but they won’t answer. I just wanted to speak to someone to make sure this is really the best treatment for me but It feels like they don’t care about me and just sent me lexapro and moved on to the next patient. Definitely speak with your real doctor. Hims is just another subscription scam.

Designed to get your money

This app is designed to make you think it’s taking your personal information seriously but before you even get a chance to look or browse, what kind of medication’s or supplements they have it goes ahead and makes you take a survey in order to have you set up an account in order to have you finalize the account you have to put in paymentoptions and then it makes you commit to Getting a medication. I had to go ahead and cancel it immediately when I realized what it was doing, not cool I only got the app because I was curious about if they had any natural supplements. I don’t even get a chance to find me that out before it was trying to get me to order some medication’s from a doctor. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re for sure on what kind of medications you’re already looking for.

Won’t remind you of next refill date by default

Like many of us, I have a lot of subscriptions. I just suffered a job loss and discovered the charge for my Hims prescription as “pending”. I had totally forgotten the date this started and I was curious why I never got a reminder. I looked in the Hims App and saw the “remind me of my next prescription date” was unchecked by default. I called customer service and explained my unfortunate situation but all I got was the “you should have cancelled the order before our 48 hour window”. I’m sad they couldn’t help me out. It also doesn’t help that I’ve not seen any progress with the product I’m paying $150 for … again … and I can’t afford it. Please check your default settings, folks. Hims, I hope this gets fixed. It’s painful enough to lose your job, but this makes everything so much worse.

Don’t trust them

I’m very disappointed with the customer service experience I had with Hims. I attempted to cancel a subscription order before it shipped because the medication wasn’t effective. Despite reaching out immediately, support refused to provide any refund or even store credit, even though the product had not yet been delivered at the time of my request. What was most frustrating was the lack of flexibility or genuine customer care. Instead of trying to help resolve the issue fairly, I was repeatedly told to simply dispose of the medication once it arrived. For a company focused on healthcare and long-term customers, this felt extremely impersonal and wasteful. I tried to handle the situation respectfully and professionally because I originally liked the company and hoped to continue using their services in the future. Unfortunately, the response made it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority in this case. I understand companies have policies, but good customer service also involves reasonable judgment and willingness to work with loyal customers when honest mistakes happen. This experience has made me reconsider using the company going forward. Please don’t waste your time and money with them.

Complex Customer Care & Service / Wrong Medication

It’s very complicated to switch your medications over. Along with switching your medications over, it’s even more complex to ensure you’re getting the proper medication shipped. I attempted to change my medication 2-3 weeks before it was approved at a pharmacy, and somehow I still got the wrong medication shipped and an additional bill for the correct one I wanted to get the first time. Along with the fact that there’s a no-refund policy, which makes it even more frustrating. To top it all off, I was told that I'd be getting the medication I switched over to; however, that was inaccurate information. This isn’t a review of the medication's effectiveness, just the effectiveness of the customer service and care.

The worst app. Horribleness

I have more than five months trying to communicate with someone from your team and I can’t. The app is very confusing and does not allow you to buy its products. I have tried to buy your product for hair loss and acne treatment but when I get to the section where I must register my address information, it will not let me move forward. It’s frustrating. I have more than five friends who have the same problem with the app. I really want to buy your product and have a subscription, but unfortunately your app won’t let me move forward. They didn’t solve my technical support problem, it’s really an app that doesn’t work... what a terrible service. I would have liked to consume your products with, but the app or technical support let me move forward with my order.

Predatory subscription renewal

Worst subscription based product I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. I was being randomly charged for refills for things I still had over half a bottle for. The apps uses trickery to make you think uve cancelled a subscription so they can continue to charge you at random increments. Once you add a payment method it is impossible to remove within the app and customer service is non existent. I don’t trust even for a second that even though I’ve cancelled all my stuff I won’t still be charged for something random. Don’t use this product, it’s a scam, and it should be illegal to rob people the way. Most predatory subscription based product I’ve ever seen. App Store even tried to prevent me from submitting this review by saying I need a nickname then not allowing me to even select one. ITS ALL A SCAM!!

You want help, too bad

The app and website like a lot of companies sends you to articles instead of actually trying to help you resolve an issue. One of my Botín bottles was just melted goo I wanted to reach for help, went to the website and that was trash, then I got the app figuring maybe there’s a chat window or something, nope. For a company that distributes medical supplies you would think open lines of communication would be easier and accessible, but nope. Edited: Found the email contact form so communication exists but is hidden. Instead of just allowing a cancel order or subscription on the app or website the force contact before cancellation. Make it a button and accessible devs or give your managers side eye.

Terrible Customer Service

I tried to cancel my subscription recently. My profile read like I had cancelled successfully. Then a few weeks later I got a notice that my card was charged and a new order was being shipped. I immediately emailed customer service at 5am the day my card showed a $195 pending charge. I sent more follow up messages. I received no responses for several days until, conveniently, shortly after I got an email that the order shipped. Hims said basically “sorry, the order has already shipped, we’re replying to many messages right now so I’m sure you understand.” Not really. 1) their website said my order renewal was cancelled. 2) then apparently it wasn’t. 3) then when I notified them they ignored it for days until the order was shipped. Avoid Hims unless you enjoy getting ripped off.

Credit card required, no cancellation option

I wanted to try out Hims to get a fast convenient refill option. It was expensive and didn’t work for me since I found a MUCH cheaper option for the same thing. They take your credit card and start a monthly prescription that is charged and sent monthly. You can pause this but then you have to remember to go in and change it regularly or it will automatically send and charge you. The medication I chose is “as needed” so I don’t need it on a regular schedule. I need it when I am ready for it and will request it. I tried to cancel my account but the instructions to do so on the website and the app are false. I cannot cancel myself. I have emailed customer service and am waiting to hear back. I hate having my credit card held ransom by companies.

BE CAREFUL

The first time I tried hims, they sent me a doctor from California and that doctor didn’t truly listen to me and gave me depression pills for anxiety and made it worse and then got the bag $ and switch doctors on me now I have a doctor from Oklahoma. So if you’re new to this app, just make sure you fully explain what’s going on in your life to the doctors and ask a lot of questions because they’ll give you whatever they want to give you plus they don’t take insurance which is kind of a point of this app but if you have insurance to save you money, I would speak to a face-to-face doctor so you won’t have to pay around 117 for any prescription so this app is a little bit of a scam, so jus be careful what the docs give you and how you explain to them.

Disappointed

I was eager to use the Hims hair product I heard good things, so I went online and made my order when the order came I was so disappointed because each bottle was missing at least a third of the spray on oil product. I contacted him immediately to no prevail. It seemed like chasing a rabbit down the hole I sent pictures of the bottles as soon as they directed me to, however, it didn’t seem like anybody really wanted to ensure that I was satisfied and received what I paid for. This is of a cheap product so to have a third out of each bottle missing was very disappointing. I’m still waiting and hoping that they will rectify this so we can move forward, I hope no one else has this problem hopeful that the product will work

Hims and Finasteride ruined my life.

Hims did not provide ANY adequate warnings or guidance regarding the devastating condition known as Post Finasteride Syndrome. After using their topical hairspray product for a year, I discontinued use and developed severe anxiety, depression, cognitive impairment, and suicidal ideation. It has been 7 months since stopping Finasteride and my life is ruined. I still suffer constantly with panic attacks, crushing depression, and cognitive decline- due to how Finasteride irreversibly altered my bodies DHT, hormones, and neurosteroids. I am an entirely different person. A shell of my self. I’ve lost my job, my girlfriend, and my sense of self. This medication should never be provided to anyone, or the devastating risks should be made clear to any who wish to risk it. Himms ruined my life for a couple hundred dollars. I would do anything to go back in time and never take finasteride.

Great Program, Mediocre App

The program is terrific and the support is fantastic. But the app seems more interested in up selling you other services than actually being useful. For example, I have a smart scale that records my weight to Apple health automatically. But the app doesn't communicate with Apple health so I have to manually log my weight everyday. There's also nowhere to log my shots, just generic guidance on how much to dispense for various weeks. What week am I on now and how much should I dispense? No idea unless I want to track that somewhere else. Again, the program is great so don't hesitate to give it a try. But the app developer needs to focus more on usefulness than marketing.

Intentionally confusing to take your money.

They creators of this app make it intentionally confusing on when and how much you will be charged. At first they say it’s 150 for 3 months, then a different menu appears showing 30 per month for a longer service. So I choose the longer service and speak with one of their “doctors” about a specific medication. Then I am immediately charged 350 dollars for a year of service. I then contact customer support to cancel and get my refund which leads them to say “we have already partly processed your order and cannot cancel but we can refund 261”. Keep in mind this was not even a full 24hrs later when I decided to refund. For a mental health service they sure love to deceive people and take money. I would highly recommend staying clear of Hims.

Can’t cancel subscription in app

You can’t cancel the subscription in app - what’s the point of even having it if you can’t manage your subscription on here? No notice of renewal either, which is also a huge bummer 👎🏽 When you do go to cancel on the website, it takes like 8 steps to cancel the subscription. Using dark UX patterns to trick users / make it difficult for them to cancel is so unethical. Up to this point, I was really enjoying the overall experience. UPDATE: there’s no return policy, and support in-app is powered by automated responses from bots. Deleting my account as soon as they allow me to (by the way, signing up is consenting to giving your health data, so deleting your account is not the same as other apps). Don’t bother reaching out to support - you won’t get any responses.

It’s a scam!

I would give this app 0 stars if I could. I tried their medication for a few months, at first it worked. After a few weeks it stopped. I told my “physician” and they were going to up the dose but after thinking about it I tried to cancel my subscription. When I tried to cancel I got another nurse or physician that did everything they could do to convince me not to but I asked to have it cancelled. 90 days after that conversation I get $174 charge and when I contact hims for a refund, I’m told I should’ve reached out 48 hours earlier. How could I reach out when I thought it was cancelled after I told them I wanted to cancel? This is blatant exploitation and it’s a scam. Once u ask for a refund they basically charge you anyway, then cancel and say u can’t have a refund. DO NOT TRUST HIMS!!

Poor customer service and renewal is a scam

When I first ordered their products the shampoo bottle came damaged and leaking. Contacted their support via email and provided pictures but never heard back. No refund no replacement nothing. I had vacation out of county for couple months so I forgot about it. Then suddenly I got charged $200 on my card. No renewal reminder or anything they don’t sent any emails no message nothing. I contacted within an hour of charge to cancel but they said they cannot cancel and told me I should have read all the policies which they hide everything making 1000 pages. I told them to cancel my subscription which they apparently did and I never received any confirmation email. Customer service 100x better with keeps avoid this product.
