When I got this app my first thought was: “this is too good to be true” I was scrolling down looking for something that costed money, you needed premium, or something like that. I was scrolling... and scrolling... til I met to the bottom. IT WAS ALL FREE!!!!! My head exploded (don’t literally because that would be gross) but I went bananas!!!! I got a little carried away with this app... but that’s just the beginning. I saw that you could share it with anyone with Facebook,Messages, or even Discord for FREE. Listen if your a editor for photos and things this app is for you. They had a update which put filters in. I don’t know if they were already there but I just noticed it. But seriously this app is AMAZING!!! You don’t even have to be an editor to like this app you can just be a person! There are so many options so you don’t get bored. When your out of the options the app has an update with more things. The creator of this app I just wanna clap for you and say you made a great app!!

I tried to screenshot and then It popped up an image saying “ REALLY DONT YOU WANT YOUR REAL ARTWORK BUY ARTLEAP PRO” if I buy it my aunt is going to end up paying for it I will find a way to beat the system even tho I’m 9 and dumb I will still find a way or it’s impossible If I can’t am deleting. (I don’t hate this app I just don’t like that part) I JUST FIGURED A WAY TO SCREENSHOT IT not many people notice if you have a apple product you press the circle at the bottom 2 times and you can swipe it to close the app and if you have a Samsung you see those three lines tap on it and swipe to close the app but to use this app for free screenshot ( this might not work for every device and I know I put only 2 phones in here but that’s because I don’t know for other devices)

It has so many options you can't possibly explore them all. I know i bought a package from this company so it won't let me buy all the apps I want. I wish they could figure out what I bought so I can get the ones I own. Also it would be nice if they came up with an app that does some AI that allows you to fine tune where the lips are and eye locations. For us guys with beards and all the AI apps that make a picture sing it leaves our beards in a still position. Just some food for thought.

I’m a huge fan of these apps. They make it so simple to create high quality pics with cool effects, but this is the second year in a row that they’ve messed up with the price and overcharged me due to my subscribing to the package deals instead of charging just the difference between the individual app and the bundle. I don’t know how much I’ve actually paid by now. I need to call Apple because they can’t fix it from the actual company, and of course that’s a whole other problem, since it’s time consuming and a pain. I will do it, but if I liked the features any less, they would lose me as a customer.

Its a truly amazing app youre aloud to use the features without having to pay first. Thank you creators. Its a lot better being able to fool around with the features and see the possibilities rather than just seeing images and being told you can do this if you pay. Im far more moved to buy a membership from an app like this than a pay first app. Creating amazing photos with iPhone 12pro camera and this app for my virtual gallery is going to be a lot of fun. So many possibilies and ideas. Best app ever.

This photo editing app is INSANE! The amount of things that you can do with it and how quick and easy it is to use is incredible! I can easily edit my pictures and make them look like it took hours to photoshop in literally three minutes. The best part is that it auto-detects faces/bodies/landscapes for you with near 100% accuracy. I’ll definitely be paying the monthly fees once my free trial is over!

After I upgraded to iPadOS 26.2 the app no longer recognizes access to my gallery photos. Numerous times—I have reinstalled Artleap and made sure Artleap had ‘Full Access’ to Photos within the iPad Settings app. But still, it just will NOT work any longer. So so very disappointing! 😵‍💫 Long time user, it was one of my favorite apps.

I would have gave this app a 5 star rating if you don’t have to pay for the best things. And when u try and screenshot your thing it doesn’t do it. I only screenshot cuz there is nothing else since u can’t save to photos. I am impressed about the no ads thing. Though I wish there is a thing where u can put in one photo then put a photo with ur self without blending it. Otherwise, great app and 100% recommended, thank you for reading this!😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️❤️

It pains me to write a negative word about something put out by my favorite developer but if I want my review to be honest it must be done. Lightricks overall puts out mind-blowing, game-changing photo apps. I can not wrap my head around why they don’t receive more recognition on various fronts. This app really is not an exception. With Artleap even the most novice digital artist can turn out some truly remarkable images. I’ve impressed more people with images created on this app than any other. I have also created the most useful images on this app compared to others Lightricks has to offer (some of the presets make for awesome Christmas cards or wall art to gift to friends and family for various occasions). But my three major complaints are as follows: 1.Many of the better presets are available on the other apps (Photoleap really) in addition to the awesome content already in the app’s main features. When I originally tried this app it was part of a bundle. It worked that way. But recently I had Photoleap and then ordered Artleap separately and found it was a huge waste of money to own both. 2. This app has no or limited ability to make more traditional adjustments to photos. Therefore the point I made in #1 is made again here: this app cannot stand alone and will typically need another app to do much of the actual photo editing. 3. The speed with which new content is released for this app is shameful. I know Lightricks is capable of putting out some absolutely awesome new tools and features on a pretty frequent basis (look at Photoleap and the AI tools this developer has churned out in the past few months), why are they so slow to add features on this app? I took a break for several months from Artleap and recently explored the app again excited for all the new features the app (surely) had in store for me. And there was nothing. Not one added feature or preset. I was deeply disappointed. The third point is the one that changed my rating from 5 to 4 stars. It pains me truly to cast a negative light on these apps as a whole; I cannot praise Lightricks enough. But overall I feel as though Artleap fell WAY short of my high expectations.

So, when I tried to screenshot it it said PAY FOR ME or something like that, but if you double tap the bottom button it will show you all of your open apps and then you screenshot that then crop it then vòila! Anyways great app, I love the features but all the premium ones are way better than the others

I love this app and I used it many times but recent update to iOS system I can’t use the app no more It loads and once it get to the Home Screen it crashes It either can’t handle the new iOS update or the app needs a major update to handle major updates

Not sure if I’m doing something wrong but this app doesn’t work anymore, can’t even get it to start up. Paid subscription, reset my phone, the whole nine yards hopefully I can get some sort of technical support.

I used to love this app. For some reason I hadn’t used it in forever and just now when I want to come in and edit a photo, it won’t open. Tried erasing it from my phone and downloading again and as soon as I open it it shuts down! HELP!!!

Very disappointed that Apple cannot fix this problem. This was a favorite app of mine and since Apple did the iOS 17 upgrade, it no longer works. Come on Apple, this should be an easy fix.

This is a really great app with lots of features and lots of style! I’ve enjoyed this app the first time I used it! But there’s a problem. You have to pay for all the cool features and you only get kinds you can use for backgrounds and I would want at least 5 or 6 more kinds I can use!

Wondering when there will be an update on the Artleap app due to the shut down problem I’ve been having. Great app but I can only open the app for 2 seconds and then it immediately shuts down.

This is one off The coolest abs I’ve ever came across. I’m obsessed with different picture apps because I own online business and I have to take lots of pics and I will say this is one of my favorites and for only $20 a year you can’t beat that!! Thanks to whoever made it!!!!!

All of the features of this old app are now built into their Photoleap suite. The app is dead but all features can still be used in Photoleap. Hope that helps.

Every one of the Light Tricks photo apps crashes every time I go to use them!!! When I originally bought these apps, they worked fine. Not sure what’s up with them now! Please fix them!! I greatly appreciate all of your help!!!

This app is super awesome!My big complaint is it says that you can do family sharing right in the App Store. So we paid for it and then guess what -you can’t. It shouldn’t say you can if it isn’t true. I emailed them and they said maybe in the future it that’s not helping me now.

I've thoroughly enjoyed using this app. I’ve used it for photo challenges over the last year or so. My only complaint is that whenever I use the app, the metadata or Exif data is not retained. This includes date and time of the photo I manipulated.

The reason I only put 4 stars is cuz there are to many things that are on pro. You have to pay for that. But the filters are so cool! I love this app!!!😃😃😃😃 Though I do think you need to lower the price on pro usage! But other then that it is 😌 great! So THX

I usually don’t like to endorse anything, however this App is extraordinary. It has allowed an opportunity to enhance special effects along with various filters to create some breathtaking images.

Ok i wanted to like this app its awesome but i have only had the app for less than 30 days and one of my pictures was stolen. And they didnt just steal it , they took it off my device completely. I was going use the photo for an important picture ... im guessing they stole the picture because it has an excellent backdrop and i am easy to crop out of the photo to play around with for the neat effects it does. Whats silly is i screen shot the photo select photos that i did allow and it still shows that its there ... now i see why iphone asks you if you want to share your photo gallery entirely. Im really mad about that and to show you how sloppy they are they couldnt even wait 30 days ... no the photo was not accidentally deleted iphone keeps deleted images at least 30 days before its gone completely n thats why im calling you out. Im made because if you liked the photo so much then why dont ask for a change anc why are you deleting it yall dont even have the decency to at least let the originator keep it ... yall should be ashamed of yourselves were in a pandemic and yall dont even want to leave people witb the joy of they own photos. How do yall know that the photo was of a dear family who died and they needed to use it on their obituary ??? So it not enough to steal it you have to take it completely from their gallery .... HOW DARE YOU ! Yall are out here being PETTY ... you as a developer has added to all the terribleness of the world we in a PANDEMIC , PEOPLE ARE DYING but NAH you wanna steal peoples photos ... thanks for making the world a better place ! New review: The app just straight up doesn't work at all anymore. Judging by the other reviews, this might be related to iOS 17 update. The app just crashes as soon as it opens. Can't even use it at all, and I was using it frequently. Huge bummer for an app with so much potential, and effects not found in others. I hope it gets fixed soon, and if not, I hope to find a replacement soon. Original review: I'm really disappointed in this app. I purchased it based on the glitter crystal effects alone, and ended up purchasing the entire Lightricks bundle too. I love the cool effects, they're unique and creative, but it seems that every time I update the app, an effect disappears. All the glitter crystal effects are now gone for me. So if you like any of the effects, don't update the app ever. I'll change my review and rating when this is fixed. This is really unfortunate because it was my favorite effect.

Same discounted clickbait price no deal for cyber Monday These apps really upset me because I had bought all these apps previously befit they started charging a ridiculous subscription fee. They are the same apps but the names changed. The logos are the same. I hate that greed has taken hold of every aspect of our society. These companies should grandfather in customers who supported them and paid before they started Subscription services. I don’t mind subscription services I just hate when I buy something then they change the name and charged me again. Shame. I have been a fan of Lightricks since they started up and have been buying your apps. But I’m getting confused with the rollout of app offerings. It looks like instead of including obvious features in an already existing app… You create a new app and then want a whole new payment for it. Example ...it looks like your old simple photo editor was discontinued. Now you have a new simple photo editor that has effects that are available in other apps or available in an old app. I hope that’s not the direction this company is going.

Where are y’all getting the idea it’s all free?? As soon as you open it, it wants you to subscribe. Pshhh and everything with a star is only for paid subscription, which is 99% of the features. These reviews that say everything is 100% free are bogus!!! Nothing is free!!! I’m sick of apps that charge for everything!! Who wants that? Why can’t we just enjoy free apps without paying? If I’m going to pay for photo editing software, it’s not gonna be some app I’ve never heard of! It’s going to be a reputable company or software. Don’t advertise it’s free then charge people for it. If you gotta pay for it, put a price on it in the App Store!!! That’s false advertising.

I love this app and for the past six months it has been a huge disappointment. I have tried every single thing possible to fix it and no joy. I open the app and it crashed immediately. There are tons of complaints on the internet dating back to Fall ‘23 and nothing has been done to address it by the developers. Really sad because it’s so dope but I have had to let it go. If anyone from Artleap sees this please fix the app. There’s nothing worse than having the best and then…you don’t. Routing for you.

This app is ok but I would love to have control over combining my photos so I could get the intensity I want. Also I’d love to do multiple layers. I don’t like the price that it wants me to pay! Used to have an app a few years ago that was incredibly cheap and aloud you to have so much more flexibility with your artwork or photos. Unfortunately it no longer exists.

Bought this app for $5.95/mo. Totally love it! But now I can’t upgrade to that “single payment fps lifetime that was initially offered at like $59 or something”. I don’t even see that option in payment plans. ALSO BIG PROBLEM is that I can’t contact Support via the app, because it says “please make sure your email is properly configured” W. T. F. ? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Guys please fix that. And upgrade me to the one time pay lifetime sub. I’ll be your fan. Will write a 5-star review too.

I had an annual subscription and I can’t find anyone to answer my support issues, so I canceled my annual subscription. BUT, I’m still suppose to have access until July 2024. The app keeps crashing and is unusable. So I wasted my money on an annual subscription to a company who doesn't make it easy for their customers to get help when their app is rendered useless, and you already paid upfront. No real motivation to resolve the problem.

This app is really cool, but in order to actually save your photos you have to pay for it. Witch is a total let down. I’m sure this review will be moderated but who ever comes across this one. Save your time I thought this app was amazing until I couldn’t save any of my creations. You can find free apps that do the same thing and also can save your creations to your device.

I just downloaded this app, it opened then asked for access to all my photos then it disappeared. I went back to the app and when I click it, IT WONT STAY OPEN, IT JUST KEEPS DISAPPEARING/CLOSING ON ITS OWN!!! I even closed the app and went back into it and it didn’t help at all!!! I’m not even going to bother trying to click the app because not like it’s going to work. Now I’m going to delete it.

I can’t even use this app. It requires me to sign with apple, Facebook, or Google and if I Sign In with Apple or Google, my iPad will connect to my mom’s phone which means I’ll get every app, notification, email, and text she gets. And I’m not even a teenager, so I don’t have Facebook. Maybe I’m being a little harsh and I apologize for this review, but it would be nice if there was another option or two to use the app.

I loved this app and some of the creative scenes that were available. Some of my favorites were the airplane and cars. When I last went in those were now gone. I can see them in my saved folder but those scene options are now gone. I would not have not bought it if the current options were all that were offered.

When you buy this app, there is no doubt it gives you the impression that you can have access to incredible features for FREE. Then upon buying said app, you instantly realize that you cant even export your file with out paying a PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION. I gave this app 1 star because I had to to write a review. This is like a continuing scam to edit photos. It says it's free, IT'S NOT!! They've ensured that you can't even screenshot it. It seems to be a cool app but if you can't have any basic stuff to work with I'm not paying for anything. I'm sick of these developers with the same scam. It's obvious with the "in app purchases" that you're gonna have to pay.

The facial recognition is not that great. There are only a few backgrounds that I like to use genuinely, the rest are really silly and would only be good for chuckle jokes at best and I find the price for the app to be waaaaaaaaaay too expensive. I tried to screen shot my image and it wouldn’t allow it and I still felt zero incentive to buy the app. It needs a lot of work.

This app and the company has a flaw. I have requested the app be fixed to work with the latest iOS 26.0 and higher and I always get the same email from them saying delete, reinstall etc and they still have not fixed the issue. I used to use this app all the time and loved it but now it doesn’t work on iPhone nor iPad anymore.

I was excited to see a new app from light tricks. Got it without question and got the one time payment as I have done will all their apps because they are stone cold the best for image editing. But.......! When I opened it. I see a whole lot oh Photoleap option for templates here. Like all of them. What’s the deal. What’s so new about this. I’ll dive more into it. And I hope I’m wrong. But a far it seems not good. Was this a ploy or is it different.

I paid 5.99 for the month. In order to do anything you have to download more apps. I wanted to do some photo editing. In order to do that you have to download Photofox. The apps keep directing you to pay more. It also doesn’t allow you to download your photo once you complete your editing. I will not be continuing with this app. I just waisted 5.99 on a useless app. The free Facebook apps are better than this.

The app says it’s free but when you go into it it says you have to pay 7.99 per month. Other then that it is a really good app.

That includes: * text prompts * uploaded images * voice/sound uploads * generated artwork * comments/posts They also say other users may be allowed to generate new images from your prompts or cues. So while they say you may own your artwork “to the extent allowed by law,” you’re also giving them very broad permanent usage rights.

I just paid and it is crashing ! Just wasted my money 😡

I still have two months left on my subscription and the app crashes on opening No one has responded. I paid for a year, for the last three months the app has crashed on open , now expiring, i have contacted company, no response, contacted apple to report a problem, no response. I want a refund!

Still have 2 months left of my paid subscription, but recently upgraded to iPhone 15 and the app doesn’t even open on it.

I have had this app for a couple years and have loved it. After the last iPhone update I can no longer even open the app and have tried several different ways to fix but to no avail. I am finding it difficult to reach Lightricks for support.

As soon as I open the app, on iPhone 15 pro max, latest update, it’s getting close. Please fix this bug.

So, I am an advanced photo editor and was looking for an app to help some friends out who wanted to filter their photos but didn’t want to take the time how to use more intense programs. I downloaded the free version just to see if it would work and I thought the presets were fun, creative and actually a good ai generation of the photos I uploaded. I wanted to show my friends what they could do with the app so I tried taking a quick screenshot and got this encrypted photo of an octopus cartoon. I will say it was pretty clever and actually a bit comical - as a graphic designer I hate it when my creations are hijacked I get it - but to be automatically labeled as a thief isn’t super cool either… guess that’s the last time I try to advertise for this company 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you don’t know anything about creative filters I can say this app does the job.

I like the app but i keep getting errors when i use any tools

I paid an annual fee of $30 for this app and all the filters I bought it for disappeared. Somehow, all the other filters are available except the ones I loved. I’d love to get a prorated refund!

There isn’t one stitch of this app that can be used for free. It states “in app purchases” which is totally misleading. You MUST purchase once you download the app, or you don’t get to use ONE FEATURE!! Rip off marketing. 😡

Update: thanks for your response but it’s also not possible to use the mail icon you’ve described to report this problem. Im reporting here because the app is basically unusable. You can’t upload photos after the initial ask so the app is instantly rendered useless after you’ve already paid for it. Terrible UX. Give me my money back please.
