I’ve been looking for an AI made movie editor for a long time, just for the fact that I make compilation videos and PMV‘s and I like the randomness of AI generating what parts of the clips that I put into the app. the only 3 drawbacks to this app for me that I’ve found are, one, you can only have a one minute long video. and two, the AI is kind of weak in the fact that it will we use the same part of the same clip like 5 to 10 to even 15 or 20 times for the video. so it ends up being mostly just one part of a single clip for a majority of the video. I’ve tried 25 (10 second) clips, and it does this, I’ve also tried only a few long (15 minute) clips, and it does the same, picking the same few seconds of the clips many times. The last drawback is that with the shuffle button (it reshuffles the parts of clips used, to give a new compilation using the same clips), its not random enough, the video ends up being too similar to the last shuffle. I think with a little bit of time and some more development of the AI this app will be awesome! it’s already pretty good. I use this app on the new IPad mini 6 with the A14 chip, and everything loads very fast. I purchased this 2 nights ago, and I have used it already for almost 8 hours total, it’s worth the monthly price. If you’re on the fence, or a PMV maker looking for an app to assist you, this definitely is very helpful.

This app deserves a complete Grade F. A ( 1 out of 100, I’ll give this thing about a 10 with my honest opinion and this is just tough criticism which I feel like you guys will not take into consideration. This APP you put on the market then give the worst selection on bringing in the video “ like the length or time like are you guys that lazy not to put in scissors where I can properly edit the video to my Pacific time that I would want not with the app wants. Now I truly believe that it’s just truly believe it’s this APP is undeveloped, who makes it where you cannot choose no music or bring in music from an a platform? The weakest selection of music! Then what makes it truly the worst APP on the dang planet you don’t even let the individual edit or choose where he/she want to put Black fade fast cut zoom boomerang jump cut slow Mo speed, like this is so depressing that you have a app choose the location and where it should put it inside of the individual who is making the visual choose for them self even writing this was depressing because the app since awful low vibration I don’t care what anybody else see on the App Store on Google you need to fix PLEASE !! PS update ASAP !!! ... Please make a subscription at 3 to 4 dollars or five dollars where you can do whatever in the app that you please I feel like you guys should at least do.

Used to be cool used to be innovated used to be top of its game until it got greedy. This is the analysis of one of the biggest waste of talents in the app world sad that the only way that you could actually get more than a couple pieces of coolness is to pay and we’re not talking about just paying a little bit. We’re talking five bucks a week and then deals you around because nobody seen them. Nobody has seen them and nobody that has helped this app out has gotten any recognition except for slapped with a check. I talked about this on my podcast so positively and boosted it back in 2022 and what a shame I tried to talk to the developers many times just got flaked and flaked and more flake and then came the canned responses which is just another way of saying that they send the same response to everybody because we’re all the same right? so I’d be surprised if they reached out this time and tried to say oh no we didn’t get greedy, but I would doubt it and then on top of that I’ve been double charged and still never got the money back because I didn’t realize that they were not gonna follow through with their word because they’re liars absolute liars. That’s my review.

Thank you so much. I’ve been looking for apps where I can do edits and it’s really hard for me to find one and the first time I didn’t edit. I was screaming so excited I showed all my friends and all my friends download this app just now and they all got the app and now we’re all making edits all together and this edit is one of my best favorite edits that ever made because thank you to this app. I love it so much and I can’t wait to share with more people at my new school this year and everybody’s gonna love it and then they’re gonna all be like oh my God how do you got this app? I say I would say OK yeah I just wanted the best apps that I ever found me and my siblings. We use it all the time now and now we love it me and my parents even fell in love with it. They even try to do it all the time, but we tell them they’re cringe. Thank you for the edits so much and we appreciate us thank you. We love this app bye.

First off, i love the idea behind this app. it’s done well at breaking up the video into clips and i like that the fxs are frequency bound. you need to allow fine tune adjustments and we need to be able to see the fine turn adjustments. it’s hard to get words synced up with my mouth moving. the energy control is cool but id rather a scale of 1-10 kind of control and it would be nice to allow different sections to have different energy controls bc at times there will be no fx happening on the video and it’s boring- so then i change the mood and i have to REDO ALL OF MY PREVIOUS CLIP ADJUSTMENTS. which is super frustrating. i want to see more fx. i want to have control over the fx and i want to be able to make fine highlight adjustments please!

Ok when this app first came out, we could only use the music you guys provided us and that kinda sucked so I emailed you guys thinking y’all would not reply but you guys did and you actually listened to my advice (whether y’all were already working on it already or not) and it made me absolutely love light tricks and their content. But here is one feature that will make this app perfect beyond compare….. “One Shot” now I say this because I admit I am alil lazy at going through each highlight and scrolling through finding the right scene to sync with the music but if there was a “One Shot” option where you can unload a single video with no chops and allow us to still use the effects then this app will more then a big help for those who are just now starting off editing music videos or just struggling with adding cool effects and the fact that you can do it on your phone is even more convenient. Please add “One Shot”

Let me start by saying this is a great app. However, there are a few things it needs. Such as being able to apply the different effects manually. I get that automation is a large part of this app, but what if I don't want a specific thing in a particular part? Second, we need more than a minutes time to work with. An unlimited time or at least a song's worth. Third, the ability to add and remove videos without the whole thing remixing like crazy. You can lose a good edit and a ton of time by doing so. Lots of room for potential with this application, but some severe limitations stimy things. I'd also like to see a tutorial area, something that teaches people HOW to shoot for this thing—smaller clips. All in all, I recommend the application, but to the developers, please give us more freedom to edit things. It's holding the application back, in my opinion.

I was looking for an app that would let me make quick bids for FB ads and insta post. What I found was an app that has helped me make 10min plus features of my work. The simplicity is perfect, user friendliness, flawless. The music selection..... from epidemic sound.... I have a subscription with them because I love them so much. To find this app already integrates their music mind blowing. I enjoy that I can make a quality video in about 15 to 20 minutes if I really want to critique the cut scene quality. The only thing I wish was a little bit better was cut scenes on beat. I’m talking perfectly on beat but I guess that’s the give-and-take of taking the semi-lazy way and not getting on my computer and matching it up perfectly

I just want to start by saying I love this app and all its features but on every device I’m getting an error saying “There was a problem downloading your videos. Please check your connection and try again.” after using it 4 times. Now at first I thought this was a connection problem as it said and it might still be but, I’m connected to the internet on every device I’ve tried to use it on and also restarted my device multiple times to make sure but it doesn’t work. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it but that doesn’t work. I’ve checked if other apps worked in terms of internet connection and they do so, I don’t know what to think. I still give this 4 stars because it is a really fun app and I love to use it when I can.

I liked the app in the beginning of use until I realize you cannot crop pics. A lot of my pics has faces cut out of no matter what format I chooses. I cannot choose which part of the video I want to use and music is limited. Would like to be able to use my own music. I saw that a year ago other reviewers complained about the same thing I’m complaining about… and yet not update on those issues. Other apps can do it.. so why haven’t it been figured out yet. The only thing I like about this app is the music syncing and add ons you can put into it. Otherwise it’s not worth the monthly subscription. I will be canceling.

There isn’t really anything wrong with this. It isn’t the only app of its kind in the App Store, though, either. But it fits within the LightTricks’ suite of graphic design tools, integrating seamlessly with them, and I like that. They make my favorite software tools for design and especially at the prices they are somehow able to produce them for. I have ZERO affiliation with them and I’m sad to say that I don’t receive a single penny for my comments. But compared to the most widely known, most widely used, and in fact, INDUSTRY(IES) STANDARD (Adobe) suite of similar tools, I find it unnecessary - at the very least - to spend that whopping amount of extra money on Adobe when LightTricks offers such intuitive (easy-to-use with basic knowledge and “beginning from” A place of no experience with the product) that is also capable of creating virtually EVERY image or video outcome one sets out to create. So, with the above said, this Beatleap App/software, in my opinion lacks in regard to music. When I want to add music to my file I am able to click on the music tab and it will take me to a vast library of Beatleap’s own proprietary music. Again, it’s vast, and if you are just looking for sounds or music in general that has a mood of every and any kind imaginable then this is great. But I very specifically wanted to be able to access a song from my own music library and bring it into Beatleap and into my design. TheyDo seem to claim or make it look like you can do that. But when I’ve gone to do it I’ve been unable to. To give you an example and make this very clear for everyone, I was trying to access the song we are the champions from the band queen. Now that’s a very well-known, very widely available song. And in the process of creating my design I have now downloaded for, maybe even five versions of we are the champions, meaning from different queen albums or files. And that is on top of my already having owned their original album that featured this song. No matter what I did, no matter how hard I tried, no matter how much I cleverly tried to access my Music or my iTunes or my files or my anything, I was out of luck. That is a big deal to me because this file all but requires that song just to make sense.

I’ve used the app before and loved it but now the app keeps shutting down when i attempt to add a music file! I’ve sent an email and the log since then I haven’t heard from them at all!!! It’s been awhile since they’ve emailed me in regards to this but no updates on when this is going to get fixed!! The app keeps crashing and no information from them at all! The app started crashing on June 7 when I purchased the pro version. I sent multiple emails and sent everything they needed till then no response on when it’s getting fixed! Today is June 16 and no updates

Don’t get me wrong, this app is amazing. The way you can choose whatever videos you want and have it put them into a song by itself is a very cool concept. And the way you can customize filters, camera motions etc. is very cool as well. But, unfortunately, most of these camera motions and filters, among other features, are stuck behind a paywall. I personally did not pay for any of this, because I don’t think it is worth paying money for features on a simple video/song editing app. With that being said, however, the free features are pretty good, and you can certainly still make something worthwhile with them. It is just a little disappointing that 70% of the app’s best features are behind this paywall. I am still giving this 5 stars, because if you did pay, I’m sure it would be an amazing experience, but perhaps give a few more options to those people who don’t want to spend? Overall, I would definitely recommend this.

I think this app has crazy potential. I like it overall but my constructive criticism touches on a few things. Biggest thing is it repeats different parts of the same clips over and over - making it look redundant like not enough thought was put into the video the app creates. I’d recommend having some more manual control over this or if you want to be rockstars about it, set the software that arranges the clips to pull in more of them and show a clip just once - or give us the option for it. Variety would be great in this area for a more fleshed out video. Love the effects it has but it’s time for some additional ones - it has been a few years. As an option, having manual control over where to put the colored dots (the effects) would make it more fun and “individual”. I like the “mood” button, but some additional moods like nostalgic, aggressive, etc. Solid app but it could be so much more with some additional creative thinking.

Rating this app 10/10. When integrating music with video this app does a very great job! I love that I can choose to add my own music if I want to. I film with a canon mirrorless & iPhone 13 Pro and having Beatleap in my arsenal just makes everything super efficient when editing. I chose the yearly subscription after I used the app for the first time and will be signing up again! This app is amazing in so many ways and it allows me to get straight to the point when showcasing my work!!! Well done team.

This is great for a novice (like me) and someone using it for basic business media or for recreation. However some extra tools/options would be nice. For instance, having the option to choose which parts of a particular video to use would be nice. I often find myself editing the videos in iMovie first, then uploading the edited footage to this app so that the software has less to choose from. Also, allowing for a final product that’s greater than 30 seconds would be nice. So no real complaints, it’s a great app, but expanded editing features would be nice.

Loving the editing capabilities and the app performs well as it was made. I’m sure this is coming in the future, but as it stands now I have no way of controlling when and where the beats or certain effects appear. (Maybe I missed something?) There should be a “free hand” editing option where you can remove certain effects in certain places by selecting the dots and deleting or sliding them elsewhere. Most of the time the app does well, but sometimes there are moments where I’d prefer certain things to not automatically go there. I will definitely agree to the notion of being able to add our own music, or maybe to have an option to get more types of music into the library? For an app that relies on rhythm to control certain things, I feel the music selection is fairly...well... It’s pretty bad. I’m certain this will be fixed anyway, but I wanted to also agree with those comments. So in short to summarize what I think would make this app great!: -Please allow editing to remove or add beats in a “Free Play” mode, as well as the normal “Automatic” Mode. (If you allow editing in a later update, please see if there’s a way you could zoom in onto the media bar, it’s quite small as things currently stand and it would help with user accessibility (I’m talking about the bar that shows all the dots of the different effects, not the existing icons for selections like “Zoom” or “Prism”. Those are good! -Please allow longer videos to be processed if possible for this software. -Please work on improvement to the music library. (I was finding it surprisingly to find good bass and drum music, club electronica or things of that nature, the categories included didn’t really make searching for things very clear -Lastly: in the music selection tab, if you could include a search bar function that would be amazing! Thank you again for the great app so far, and for the opportunity to mention some ideas that I think would really turn this up a notch!

This is the best video app I’ve ever tried. All you have to do is select your pics/videos and music. It also allows for some flexibility when it comes to the length of the videos so that it fits your posting needs. The only thing I wish is that they had a better variety of music. Most of of the songs are “chill/techno”, it would be nice to have some tropical or Latin music choices. All in all, great buy if you like posting quick vacation videos.

I absolutely love this app. I’ve been using it for years. Everybody comments on my videos and says how amazing they are. I combined this app with a few others and I get phenomenal results. I choose not to use the provided music because I’ve had copyright issues with doing so but I make my own music anyway, so it doesn’t matter. If there is one feature, I wish they would add. It would be support for 360 panoramic videos.

Great app for putting together something simple. Too much complexity would defeat the purpose. But they need to let you choose your aspect ratio. If i choose square, 16:9, or portrait and the image or video isnt perfectly aligned with the chosen frame. Then it crops in on strange areas. Give me the option to choose where to crop or add black or blurred borders. Od just have my own custom aspect ratio. When editing videos let me not only switch out the type of video selected. But let me choose the moment in the video i want. PLEASE UPDATE THIS! thnx

So I am new to video editing and recently started a business trying to get our name out there.. this app is amazing.. while I want to get better at the fine tuning I almost gave up.. downloaded don’t even how many apps to figure it out this really was my last.. or end of the road attempt for a minute… it does the fine tuning for you to the beat. Just wow thank you. (Side note I never do reviews.. this app just came through and wanted others to know)

I’m Newer to Video Editing and this app is making it so fun and easy for my sons sports videos. As I’m catching on how everything works together. Man, I AM LOVING IT. It’s easy, wish the music selection was better. To many slow beats. (Personal Opinion) I am editing hockey videos though 🤷🏽‍♀️Thank you for being so user friendly and fun. Makes our memories even that much more memorable rewatching. 🫶🏼 Plus, it makes me look good, like I know what I’m doing!! 🙌🏽🤭

The ability to not have the AI automatically slice up your video into randomly different parts would be nice. If I import a video I made, then I want the video to simply play fully thru just like I composed it too do. All I need the app to do is add a zoom in whenever it recognizes a beats dropped, however, this app will take my full video on its own & without me adding any effect in the video it will only automatically play the video at random parts that I didn’t select or specify which is quite annoying. Its doing the most & being extra for no good reason. I like the effects that are available tho & hope they expand. But, in my opinion they first need to address the videos you import in the app from weirdly rearranging itself to different parts & orders. The Developers know exactly what I’m talking about.

This app is awesome I’ve had a great time using nothing wrong when it comes to the mechanics of making a picture or video better by any means. The one thing I will say is that “at times” there will be a glitch or setback when trying to create new content cause there would be an error saying “whoops something went wrong” I don’t know if that’s a bug or an update issue but that would be my only con to this wonderful app.

I have used this app and it is a good tool to use very handy honestly better than anything on the market. BUT, after making a video and going back days later the video is gone and your left with just a blank screen. So if u dare make this purchase make sure when u make a video u save it on the camera roll and don’t expect to make any future edits to it because it will be gone!

I will never go back and review all of the videos I have ever taken on my iPhone. By using this app, I can take all of the best video clips of a memorable event and put them together in one short video. It captures the entire day, or the entire special event in 30 seconds to 90 seconds. THAT is some thing I know I will go back and watch for the rest of my life. Glad to be able to store these memories!

I would give this app 5 stars but there’s a couple of small issues. I wish I could have the original audio from my videos in addition to the music. Sometimes I would like to hear my kids laughing or making a noise on a video. The other thing is I would like to make longer videos, at least up to 3 minutes long. I’ve discovered how to add my own music of choice but it’s not that simple. Once there is an easier way to include your own music nothing is touching this app!

This app gave me the boost to categorize my videos into albums only to find out I can't choose albums at import. This app will make my life as a amateur videographer easy and let me put out content. Please make it available that you can choose to import from albums as other light tricks apps. I paid a whole year and I can't wait to see the adventures we’ll create

Dude, this has to be the greatest app ever. I’m always having a blast with a videos it helps me put together. Going back and tweaking certain things to make them more the way I want them to is not complicated or tricky and so far I’ve gotten nothing but positive reviews from the content I’ve been able to create with this app. Seriously whoever made this is going to Heaven.

When I last used this app about a year ago there was this nonsensical video length limitation of one minute. Now they let you make a video that will actually last as long as the full song you’re making it for. So this app is finely useful, although it could still use a few minor improvements that I hope it’ll get over time.

I use this all the time for reels and shorts on social media. After I got to know it and how it works, I was able to create videos pretty fast. My only nitpick is that you should be able to pull your images and video from iCloud Files like you can in the Music section. I don’t want everything I make for videos in my Photos App. Also, it would be great if you could export directly to Files as well.

I really love this app, it has an amazing automation system and has so much to provide with so little work needed to do. the only problem i have that i know many others would love to see change is the paywall behind using your own music. when you select music of tour own it says you have to have premium. this i believe is the only setback. other than that i absolutely love it. can't wait to see where it goes.

This app is super useful and the tools are very easy to use. However I wish it let us have a bit more control over how certain effects look. The effect most people use, the one that actually makes an image or video appear to be bouncing along with the beat , sometimes doesn’t feel heavy enough. The prism effect in the app encapsulates what I wish the other effects could do

Ok, I’m no pro here, but I loaded this app, clicked a bunch of buttons and BAM!! Amazing video with great effect and sweet tunes pops out… really what more do you want. I’m better better at taking better video clips and I’ll certainly upgrade to the paid version.

Really… it’s been a long time that I’ve been looking for a simple and friendly use app to edit my videos and post them as reels or stories on Instagram. This app has everything I need to put together some clips and easily chose the duration, the music, some effects and filters… the results are amazing for the amount of time we put on it. I’m a designer and I enjoy it a lot! It’s made for its purpose and it works. Thank you!

Everything is practically perfect about the app and it’s functions but my only critique is the ability to manually move and place certain effects for a more personal touch to give us a little more creative control. Other than that I’m really enjoying this app. Good job Lightricks!

I have been seeing interesting apps popping up, like( kaiber Ai ), with the emerge of Ai prompts, I hope beatleap add dept and flexibility for creators to do more with beatleap, than what it has right now, I hope they can add some generative effects, elements on the videos or images and have beats react to them simultaneously… to get that epic synchronization of visuals, audio, mood, etc.

Add ability to measure BPM for edits and turn it more towards musicians / audio producers and you’d be set instead it seems like you’re slowly putting bits of this into Videoleap and leaving this one behind in development? Some of us just wanna make cool music videos for our own tunes and are fine with paying for this and still waiting for more updated features.

Great app, easy to learn. All of the other apps in this APP Company are easy to use, fun & worth every penny.

This product does some great things very easily but if you expect a perfect product, it is not. Throw some short clips together and Beatleap’s algorithm does a pretty good job piecing it together. You could stop there and have a fun video to post to social media or you could swap some clips, change the focus in each clip and even add some fun effects. Now it’s even better! Now the bad. In my experience it has jumbled up my videos to where I have to redo them which is really annoying. Also if you add too many effects it rearranges your clips to some other order for no reason. Support has admitted this and say they hope to address it in a future release. I paid $60 for the annual unlimited fee and if I use it as I explained it will be fine, but I would expect these impacting bugs to be fixed; hence I can only give it three stars, otherwise it would be 4. If it allowed a little more manual ability to place effects where you want and allow final videos to be 2-3 minutes then it’s five stars all the way.

I’ve seen couple other reviews of people coming across this app through advertising and that’s how I found out about it as well. Was messing around with it and overall the app does what it says it does make quick awesome videos with cool edits They are super simple but make the video pop out so much more! Especially if you want a cool video to share on social media so 3 stars for simplicity, easy use, style! BUT not being able to use your own music is a bummer and you are stuck using the very very few music selection especially if you are just using the free version and even if you pay for the app the music selection for my personal taste is not very good at all LOL. but I get it it’s a app you know. Maybe down the line if the app gets a update to be able to use your own music, improve their music library And maybe add few more effects a slow mo effect would definitely bring it up too 5 stars!!

Spent $9.99 to try this for a month because I had high hopes…. If you are trying to get an edit done very quickly, this is the app for you. If you like to crop and zoom on specific areas of an image or a video, if you like to choose where certain transitions happen, if you like to use your own music, or no music at all, if you want a custom time video where all of your content can make it in, this is NOT THE APP FOR YOU. The customization in this app is so limited, it is sad. The effects possible are great, but the inability to edit where the random computer generated effects end up, is so sad. I wanted this app to work for me, but sadly it’s going right back where it came from, and it’s on to the next. Too expensive and too limited for my liking.

Here is the thing, I spent the last 30 minutes trying to READ how to do specific things with this app. For instance, when adding a photo it automatically zooms on each photo. Also I’m trying to use this with music I can use on Instagram, including Instagram audio but I can not find popular songs that are also on Instagram. I assume maybe I need to get the pro version but now that I made a subscription and I finished my first video I can’t figure out how to get pro subscription or what prescription even offers. Although I may be a small telegraph of older users trying to learn you sound it would be appreciative if you took me to consideration and putting information out there. At one point I have downloaded all of your apps and to this day only one of them is worth it. This may be the best app ever used but I will never know.

It’s got all the bells and whistles but the one main whistle that counts! If you are serious about video editing, you take your chosen music serious! This app limits you from choosing your own music. I do believe I read that they may be working on changing this one issue? If they do it will definitely be worth me purchasing the entire app and being a fan for life! Lastly, I will definitely have to add 3 more stars and make this a 5 Star rating! Until that happens, 2 stars is all I can give this app. Why? Because there are apps that don’t do quite as much, but with the right edits and your own music added, you can create an amazing feel good video! In the end, it’s really about making your video personal to you. It’s about putting your signature on the video and not just doing another copycat of someone else’s!

This app and the controls available are not what I would expect from a paid app, especially one as expensive as this. The apps automatic creation is very poor, in that it will select the same image multiple times, which I don’t understand. You can replace these (but why should this be needed to begin with?). If you choose to add more photos the app will repopulate the timeline and what you just adjusted is undone and you have to restart the process all over again, with finding images duplicated. Absolutely terrible experience. After just a few days I would rather have a refund than continue using the app. I could just use the app I was using prior to this. It may not have done exactly what this does, but it was more of a help than headache to me.

Developers. I’ve never written a review on an app before, but this app was SO CLOSE to being good. I know you want to make your money, and by all means, charge your fees, but what you SHOULD allow is MORE FREEDOM for the user ESPECIALLY if they SUBSCRIBE TO MONTHLY/YEARLY FEES. Example. WHY in the world would you not let the user place the effects where THEY want? PLEASE! This app would be the BEST video editing app if you gave the user the ability to CHOOSE for themselves where they want effects to time up in their own video. Yes I understand the simplicity you want to keep for new people, and yes you have a different app that does editing more precise but holy moly it is not the same and is also limited on basic functions. Sorry. For the more advanced AND/OR paying customers, at least give the option to do and to place EFFECTS WITH UNLIMITED amount! Why on earth would you limit how many times I can fast cut? Boomerang? Etc. Please. This app could surpass every other app out there. All you have to do is listen to your client base, and update with new effects. SIMPLE. I Hope you see this -much love

The steps are to select your video clips, but then you are forced to select a music tract, only then can you go on to editing mode (I didn’t want a background music track, furthermore, there are no American Standards songs, no country options, etc.). I looked but couldn’t find how to prevent a music track from playing in the background. The jingle repeats and is psychotically bad. I needed to hear the dance instructor explain the steps but could hear this due to the music track. I then wanted to edit down to size the correct size video clip to make a flowing dance routine. I couldn’t get it to display all the clips that I entered in the right order. It was challenging to understand the method of splicing and cutting video strips. Without all the clips being shown in the order, I couldn’t determine the right order. It seemed as if it rotated the clip order randomly, but I couldn’t tell what order they were in. I couldn’t figure out how to add a title page with this so I can read the title name, date, etc. Got tired of wasting my time and wrote this. I had hoped there was a better video editing app than the current go-to Videoshop app. I am deleting this app.

Ok, so, the app is great. 👍I really enjoy editing and this is super beginner friendly. 😊The only problem is it charges you for the good features💵🤑.You make cool photos but the app was advertised for the features that actually sets it apart from the other editing apps. So…the developers should open up more features for the free version. People who want to pay extra WILL pay extra for the cooler features, even if the free version is super great. This is a proven theory. Even though people will pay the prices, some won’t or can’t. This then makes the app get old to the free users. I have the whole set of apps and all of them need this! I should have read the negative reviews first. This app is not free. You HAVE TO chose a pay subscription to be able to use it, so I have chosen $2.99 per month with “cancel any time”. I downloaded the app to try it and was not happy with it. It did not work automatically “per beat” as they state so it was a lot of manual adjustments that I do on my free app. I have deleted the app and went to my apple account to cancel the subscription only to find out they charged me for the entire year!!!!! And not for a month as I’ve selected. I Immediately checked my credit card only to find out they have charged my credit card $36. And it was within 10 min!!!! Horrible app scam. No I have to call my credit card company and Contact apple to dispute this transaction.

Before the update the app was working fine, for the most part. For example, even though I did not select an option, such as jump cut, it would still do jump cuts. But now after the most recent update, it’s the first time since I got my 12 Pro Max that an app has cause my phone to restart. This has happened twice in a row. Before the update, this never happened. I also would love to be able to set the duration of the project to auto match the duration of the video or even music I am using. Would also love manual control of when and where the effects happen, with the help of markers.

I wish that you could pick a custom duration or instead of doing that, similar to how CapCut works, I wish that it allowed you to not only adjust the segment of each clip, but extended, because with the set duration, I can only pick another part of the clip, but I can't extend it as you know, so that's frustrating but what I like about the app is that it does auto cut so it saves me time but it doesn't work out for most things I have. I also hate that you have to pick a song. I know that it's called Beatleap, but the fact that it's all unlicensed music none of it I would use and I only have so many files on my phone so it's just not nap for me.

I’m not sure of this is a recent change however Beatleap no longer syncs your videos to the audio track of your choice. It only syncs your video clips to the audio tracks they have on the app (which isn’t trending audio). I paid for this app just so it can do exactly what I didn’t want it to do. What makes this app any different then the others ? I gave it 2 stars because when I first used the app it cut my clips to a audio beat I had uploaded and it was perfection. Now I’m doing my second and third video it’s not syncing my clips up to the beat of my song of choice. I definitely want a refund.

Weak editor… The highlight selection and Clip duration is not edible. No option to change how long a section of your video clip is playing for. No crop options as well for video clips; which would offer the same results I just mentioned. This is a Major bug problem. If you have you have 2 10sec videos, Beatleap may decide first video plays for 1sec and the 2nd video is 3 secs. You can adjust where the video starts playing from but not change that 1 or 3sec duration. GoPro offers a similar app and dose not have this issue, they offer adjusting the clip duration and more then 1 highlights with in the same video clip, which is similar to setting highlight duration. Further more, GoPro can highlight some cool audio such speaking, and lower music volume for a few secs while the highlight audio coming from the video clip is playing. Its really an awesome feature. Can be fully adjusted or turned off of course. Gopro app also cost cheeper, this app is just hype and cost more.

This app used to be pretty solid, but lately I can’t get much of anything done on it. It keeps crashing when I try to change the aspect ratio after saving a project, making it impossible to create for multiple platforms. I would be willing to overlook this from a non-paid app, or at least an app that’s .99/month, but from an app at this price point I would expect a whole lot more in the reliability department. Additionally, the effects and tools haven’t been updated or added to in what seems like years; this app desperately needs a refresh.

This will easily be a five star product if I can only edit my videos frame by frame instead of swiping my finger across the screen. after a full minute my fingers start to feel fatigue and ItIt gets uncomfortable and feels too long to edit my videos therefore making the Beat-leap experience lesson joy-able. All in all I enjoy the application and the many features available However I really hope the beat leap team can update to a frame by frame feature because It would just be making the app more amazing!

Honestly this app is stiff. Only thing it’s missing some important editing tools like being able adjust volume of both video and selected track, being able to layer additional sounds other than just having one track, and being able to add and remove effects where you do/don’t want them. Other than that I’m excited for this app and it’s potential! I know as they add more tools and effects it will be a top quality app for best makers and people who generally love making dope edits!!

I have good internet and I love this app but recently when I purchased a week worth of this app and then cancelled so I wouldn’t be charged again the app doesn’t even work. I’m not sure if it’s because the cancelling caused this glitch but when I’m tweaking and editing the edits don’t show in real time, takes forever to load and is the most annoying thing EVER. If you expect people to pay almost $60 per month for this app those glitches should not be happening. And even for one week, $13 an app should always work and not take forever to load and for one edit to show have to exit and re enter the app multiple times over and over and over again

This app is so important to me but I hate how it doesn’t let you fine tune the video or replace clips from your phone gallery. For example, the app duplicates a clip and when I try to replace the duplicate media with another video or photo from my phone it only allows me to replace it with media I’ve already selected which is stupid because that creates another duplicate please fix this

I paid for the premium and when I add to many edits to the video it will no longer render the videos. Wasted my money.

This app is terrible. Keeps saying “can’t make video due to poor connection” even though I have tried multiple wifis (that can load any videos instantly) and my data. Why pay for an app to make videos if you can’t even make them?

I only wanted to crop a small part of a video out but it was forcing me to add music, and there was no option to bypass this or get rid of it in a later step. Annoying.

The app kept glitching and closing every time I tried to highlight a video clip.

Should be easier to change the order of selected photos/vids for reels. Drag and reorder? Number them myself? Anything. This is so darned frustrating.

Says it changes photos/videos to the beat. But it changes to random beats (even upbeats and not downbeats) and impossible to tweak clips to adjust to music. It also randomly repeats a video/photo already shown in the segment and there’s no way to adjust. Might work if your video is 15sec max. This app is for someone who wants to put no work into their video and doesn’t care how it’ll turn out.

I wish they had a trial version even for a 24 hour period. I downloaded it, paid a yearly membership which said you could cancel anytime, not knowing that also meant full payment would be kept. I used this for all of 10 minutes to realize that this was not at all what was useful to me and the music selection was slim and not for me. Sad to have spent money on this only to realize the limitations.

Sometimes it wouldn’t save my tweaks and I find myself having to redo all the tweaking multiple times. I’m the end I’m probably better off editing the video from scratch to the beat using CapCut

It’s one of these “aesthetic” apps for TikTok lesbians, not a tool you can make videos with. Can’t even upload ur own music without paying like 74 bucks

This app does exactly what it says it does. It does put your videos on beat (which is a real pain in the rear with their other app since you can’t see the music wave well enough to time it properly). You can change out the random video it chooses or the segment of the video… but what you can’t do is rearrange the videos. This is the biggest problem with this otherwise great app. If they combined the original app with this one it would be really good, which in my opinion would simply be allowing you to arrange the videos how you want. When you’re doing a video where chronology matters it randomizes them and trying to switch them out is frustrating and time consuming.

You are forced to pay for the year then instantly realize that it’s trash and delete it after the first day. Waste of time and money. They have trash music and all the clips get mixed together.
