Pill Identifier & Med Scanner Negative Reviews and Ratings
Failed to identify 2 different pills from a photo. But if you already know the name of the drug it gives you plenty of information. However, it doesn’t describe the pill shape, size, color or imprint.
HORRIBLY loud, intrusive, loooong ad has to complete before you can use this app to identify a pill. The first pill I tried to identify by image found nothing. When I entered the pill imprints (numbers and letters pressed into the pill), it still couldn’t find the medication (a common Rx for asthma). Conclusion: this app is worse than useless.
I want this app to work. Really and truly. But every time I try to identify a pill it is wrong, can’t even come close or just plain stupid. I put in round and white and I get an assortment of shapes. I take a picture of round and white with a letter and I get oval, various colors and lots of numerals but everything except the one I put in.
Every time you enter info, there’s a long, long ad. Then you click the X to close and guess what. Another ad plays. If you have a lot of time, app might work for you. A LOT of time.
I have an iPhone Pro. This app took full control of my camera and could not set up a clear image at all! I would not recommend this app.
Tried to take a photo of my pill but stuck in a loop. Takes the photo, thinks for a second and prompts me to take a photo.
As soon as you start it take you to a stupid gambling app and you can’t get out of it. I just deleted the pill app to stop the gambling commercial.
This is not even giving me the same size/color, let alone what kind of drug it is. Big thumbs down for accuracy.
Too many advertisements. Hard to use the app! It would be great if not for that.
Camera would not let you take a photo
You can’t do anything without watching an ad first.
Poor: does not identify pill with camera, no listening of imprint. Misidentification imprint from chemical/generic name.
It does not work!
I couldn’t take a shot of the pill because you had an add blocking it. Get serious with grounding us in advertisements before the app even runs.
