World English Bible translation - The entire Bible in audio form read by a real person with no drama or background music. All the audio is embedded so you can listen at any time, without the need for a wireless connection.
The audio is the recording of a real person reading carefully and slowly in an American accent without dramatic effect or background music which many find distracting. If you find it too fast or slow for your preference, you can adjust the playback speed while still maintaining the natural voice sound. The program remembers the audio position so you can start listening where you last left off. The audio will keep playing even after the screen is locked so you can save battery power while continuing to listen.
The program is simple to use
- Touch the book icon to select the Book/Chapter/Verse to start at
- You can fast forward, rewind, pause, and skip forward and back chapters & verses.
- Read along with scripture text presented in synch with the audio
- Navigate by Book, chapter and verse
- Sleep timer
- Repeat playback between books/chapters/verses
- Change audio speed to suit your taste without affecting the voice sound.

SpokenWordThe SpokenWord apps by George Dimidik provide easy use access to the World English Bible spoken version provided by AudioTreasures. This version uses the reading by David Williams - American accent. I really like the melodic sound, tone, rhythm of this person speaking the Word. $0.99 is basic features. Another $0.99 upgrades to enable showing printed text of each verse on screen. The main feature I appreciate is that the app can be closed at any point and it will start from that point when app started. The timer function is another feature that is helpful to listen to scripture when retiring for sleep. Accessing individual chapters and features is by finger scrolling the selection. Easy to move anywhere in the Old and New Testament. Coupled with the Bluetooth capabilty of the iPhone can utilize with Bluetooth audio devices. The combination of the SpokenWord apps and the iPhone provides the Bible in a form suitable for use just about anywhere. One item I did note is that speaker and text display in certain places did not match exactly word for word..Version: 9.0
My favorite App ever!I love this app. I use it more than any other app. I am so thankful to God to have a way to easily listen to His word at the touch of a button. I tried a much more expensive app and it wasn't reliable. I had trouble with it. This is very reliable and very user friendly I've downloaded both the old and New Testaments and gotten the upgrades. Best AppI’m thankful for this app. This has been a great blessing to me. It has the perfect set of features to relax you or to memorize scripture, or just to listen intently to the Bible and its message for us today. The price is great and this app is most certainly a God-inspired ministry. I would give it 5 stars if it used a more distinguished, lustrous voice like my other two apps have. But this is a matter of personal preference and does not minimize in ANY way what I described above. This is my FAVORITE audio Bible app. Logos Bible software is my favorite Bible study application for studying and searching God’s word. Please keep this app active and improving upon it!.Version: 9.0
Been using for years!I play this before I go to bed. Soothing voice. I like the sleep timer. That was a good upgrade. The only thing I like change would be to add a in app volume bar. That way I can have my alarm on full blast but not the app on full blast!!!.Version: 13.0
Love listening to this while getting ready for work.Remember the Bible on cassette tape? CDs? We prayed the reader had a soothing voice! If not, you're young. We could only listen if we carried the cassette or CD player around everywhere. Take advantage if this young people! It's so much more convenient, lol! And the voice is perfect..Version: 9.0

ExcellentListening to the scriptures opens them in a continuity of the authors thoughts which I have not fully experienced in reading.
